Effect of Smoke Vents During Fire for Children`s House

 Abstract
This research focused on the temperature change in the fire chamber and corridor, the smoke layer height change, and the concentration change of CO, and for children`s house in case of fire without smoke vent and with smoke vents of 1, 2 and . The simulation results show that the air vent reduced the fire room and hallway temperatures and the smoke layer height. Moreover, the smoke height maintained 1.8 m in case of air vent, which was respiratory limit. Additionally, the CO concentration became far less than 1,400 ppm, and concentration maintained less than 5 % in the hallway. The concentration maintained higher than 15 % (limit of the life safety standards) to increase the evacuation time.
