The Characteristics of Two-Dimensional Turbulent Wake Flow Past a Rectangular Cylinder

Two-dimensional turbulent wake flow past a rectangular cylinder is investigated experimentally by using the linearized constant temperature hot-wire anemometer. Some of turbulent characteristics are obtained at the range of X=6B-500B downstream from the cylinder and the Reynolds number range is 500-2800. For the statistical treatment, autocorrelation coefficient, probability density function and power spectral density function are obtained by using the signal analyzer. It is clear that coherent structure of strong periodic eddies exists to the position of 20B downstream from the cylinder, and its feature is similar to round type as nearer to the cylinder while it is stretched longitudinally along with flow direction as the distance from the cylinder is increased to downstream.
Stress Analysis of the Thin Intersected Axe Gear By 3-DM Boundary Element Methed.

It is impossible to directly analyse stress distribution on thin bevel Gear. On this Paper, the author propose a method to analyse the stress of thin bevel gear boundary element method and develope a computer program. The propriety of this program is verified by comparing the numerical calculating results with theoretical results.
A Corrosion Resistance Evaluation of Welded AISI 304 Stainless Steel by Electrochemical Methods.

Electrochemical methods have been proposed as non-destructive, rapid and quantitative means for determining the degree of sensitization associated with Chromium depleted zones surrounding precipitates of Cr carbide and formation of secondary phase in stainless steel. In this study, the specimen of AISI 304 stainless steel and its welded sections, which welded by TIG, MIG,
and ARC, were tested corrosion resistance by electrochemical methods in 0.5N HCl and 1N
with or without 0.01N KSCN. The results were confirmed that electrochemical methods could be used as a test method of corrosion resistance evaluation for the welded AISI 304 stainless steel.
A Study on the Performance Characteristics of the Large Liquid Ejector

The liquid ejector, having no moving, lubricating and leaking parts, is widely used as the various pumps because of its high working confidence and simplicity. Previously, computer aided design program for the small-sized liquid ejector was developed based on the one-dimensional flow analysis and the systematical laboratory level experiments. Through the present research, it is confirmed that the previously developed computer program to getermine the main design dimensions and to calculate the expected performance curve is satisfactorily applied to design the large liquid ejectors.
