A Study on the Boiling Heat Transfer of R-113 in a Concentric Annular Tube

The two-phase flow is observed in power plants, chemical process plants, and refrigeration systems etc., and it is very important to solve the heat transfer mechanism of a boiler, an automic reactor, a condenser and various types of evaporators. Recently, the problem of two phase heat transfer is braught up in many regions with development of energy saving technique. In flow boiling system it is necessary to store data in each condition because the heat transfer characteristics of flow boiling region vary by the change of flow pattern and the magnetude of heat flux to tube length, and be subtly affected by the flow and heating condition. So basic study for knowing flow pattern in heat transfer region and the relation between heat transfer characteristic and flow condition is desired to accumulate data in wide variety of liquid and flow system in the study of heat transfer of two phase flow. In this study R-113 was selected as working fluid whose properties were programmed by least square method, and experiment was conducted in the region of mass flow

A Study on the Behavior of Bubbles in Fluidized Bed

In the present paper, the behavior of bubbles in a fluidized bed has been investigated experimentally. The bubble size, distribution of bubble, bubble rising velocity and pressure fluctuation in the fluidized bed are obtained at different air velocity. The results are discussed and compared study the effect of air velocity on the behavior of a bubbles in fluidized bed.
Effects of Mechanical Alloying Treatment on Age Hardening Behavior of Rapidly Solidified Al-5Cr-2Zr Alloy

The microstructual refinement process of Al-5Cr-2Zr alloys mechanical alloying 30h can be divided in five stages ; initial stage, welding predomminance stage, spherical partical formation stage, convolution welding predominance stage, and steady state. The rate of structural of aluminium splats was roughly logarithmic with processing time ;
=k/0.78 ln(1+0.0028t). The age hardening in rapidly solidified Al-5Cr-2Zr alloys is ascribed to the coherency and dispersion hardening. Coherency hardening is occurred by matastable cubic Al3Zr precipitates in Al-Cr-Zr alloys. Dispersion hardening after mechanical alloying is attributed to the finely-dispersed
in Al-5Cr-2Zr alloys.
Defects Diagnosis of Ball Bearings by Neural Network

This paper describes how to identify standard numbers and to diagnose defects of the ball bearings. The first stage of the networks is a procedures for identifying standard numbers of the bearings, and the next stage carries out the diagnosis of defects on the outer race and the inner race of bearings. The identification and the diagnosis of bearings were carried out by simulations and experiments.
An Experimental Study on Torque Characteristics and Efficiency of Hydraulic Couplings

The purpose of this research is to construct experimental test set-up and to establish a series of performance test program for the domestically developed hydraulic couplings, and to provide a software to store and utilize these experimental data which can be used to improve the performance of the hydraulic coupling and solve the job problems confronted during operation. The performance test consists of measurement of torque, rpm and efficiency of the hydraulic coupling for three different amounts of working fluid with various loads to the output shaft, and investigating the torque, rpm and efficiency characteristics with respect to these parameters. The results of this study can contribute to the development of variable speed hydraulic coupling and torque converter pursued by the domestic industry.
A Study on the Design of Resilient Mounting Systems for Marine Diesel Engines

The installation methods of diesel engines in ships would be largely classified into two groups : one is the direct mounting system fixing engine directly into double bottom of the hull, and the other is the resilient mounting system having vibration absorbers between engine and ship body such as rubber plate to prevent shocks or vibration transmission. The direct mounting system is generally used for large-sized low speed diesel engines, because the resilient mounting system has difficulties in reducing the natural frequency of engine itself under normal speed. On the contrary, the resilient mounting system is often used for medium or high speed engines for marine propulsion and generator that have light weight and high revolution speed. Recently, it is even applied to engines having relatively low speed(300-400rpm) for fishing boats. Although many researches for the resilient mounting system have been carried out, many problems in applying these results directly to marine vessels because most of these have been used for automobiles. Up to now we have had to depend on the professional foreign company in design and the supply of parts for the resilient mounting system of marinediesel engines utterly. In preseut study, the exciting forces of engines effecting to resilient mounting were examined, and patterns of vibration and evaluation procedure for force transmission from resilient mounting to the body of hull were established. Also, these results were applied to the analysis of free and forced vibration for the rubber-type resilient mounting systems of marine diesel engines. Besides, after changing the various design parameters, such as locations, angles, dynamic characteristics and the number of resilient mountings, the influences on resilient mounting system were also examined.
On Development of Vibration Analysis Algorithm of Beam with Multi-Joints

The authors apply the transfer influence coefficient method to the 3-dimensional vibration analysis of beam with multi-joints and formulate a general algorithm to analysis the longitudinal, flexural and torsional coupled free vibration. In this paper, the structure, which is mainly founded in the robot arms, cranes and so on, has some crooked parts, subsystems and joints but has no closed loop in this system. It is modeled as the beam of a distributed mass system with massless translational, rotational and torsional springs in each node, and joint elements of release or roll at which node the displacement vector is discontinuous. The superiorty of the present method to the transfer matrix method in the computation accuracy was confirmed by the numerical computation results. Moreover, we confirmed that boundary and intermediate conditions could ve controlled by varying the values o the spring constants.
A Study on the Design of Ship's Distributed Remote Control System Using Dual-Microprocessor

In this paper design and implementation of ship's distributed remote control system using dual-microprocessor is presented for real time process. The proposed system is implemented with the single chip microprocessors in tightly coupled mode and results in speed up of
=1.74. Under the assumption that the nodes are interconnected in multidrop, the overall system performance such as average throughout-delay characteristics and effective throughput are analyzed using M/G/1 queneing model, and results show that the proposed node can be used in medium sized distributed monitoring and control system.
