In recent years, the crisis of energy is growing seriously and also the contamination of ecology has been reverberated as international problem. The social concerns on energy crisis have been growing for the last several years and also the interests in new and renewable energy have been increased. Therefore, in order to solving these problems, this study has dealt with the solar air collector with perforated endothermic panel to increase the indoor temperature. And also, the PV panel for running indoor air circulating fan has used to increase the convective heat transfer. From this study, the inlet air temperature is increased up to 42[
]. This temperature is enough to heat the indoor air condition during winter season. And also the result revealed that the mixing effect of convection is increased with increasing in fan circulating power.

In spite of the global-class aquaculture and fishing technology of our country, the processing technologies are lags behind the other nations relatively. The processed marine products are mainly frozen foods, canned goods, salty food (fermented fish products), fish paste products (boiled fish paste), and we can see that the high-value dehydrated foods by drying are very few. These problems are considered to be caused directly by the lack of drying technologies. This paper is concerned to the experimental results of drying heat transfer characteristics for the green energy type vacuum dryer for the high quality sea foods production.
Analysis of 1MW Closed OTEC Cycle Using Thermal Effluent and Waste Heat

The thermodynamic performance of closed ocean thermal energy conversion (OTEC) cycle with 1 MW gross power was evaluated to obtain the basic data for the optimal design of OTEC. The basic thermodynamic model for OTEC is Rankine cycle and the thermal effluent from power plant was used for the heat source of evaporator. The cycle performance such as efficiency, heat exchanger capacity, etc. was analyzed on the temperature variation of thermal effluent. The saturated pressure of evaporator increased with respect to the increase of thermal effluent temperature, so the cycle efficiency increased and necessary capacity of evaporator and condenser decreased under 1 MW gross power. As the thermal effluent temperature increases about
, the cycle efficiency increased approximately 44%. So, it was revealed that thermal effluent from power plant is important heat source for OTEC plant. Also, if there is an available waste heat, it can be transferred heat to the working fluid form the evaporator through heat exchanger and cycle efficiency will be increased.

The majority of currently domestic dried sea foods is holding sanitary safety on storage and distribution, a structural problem to be in quality serious to sun drying. This paper the productive times and the on-site operation that production is fixed are easy, and it have reported the experimental results that carried out on development of a drying system toward field which can keep the highest quality and economy.

MILD (Moderate and Intense Low Oxygen Dilution) combustion is a technique which is able to reduce NOx formation and to uniform temperature distribution in the furnace by recirculating the exhaust gas to the fresh air and fuel. This study focuses on finding optimal condition of MILD combustor by changing equivalence ratio with fuel and air flow. The present experiment employs six thermocouple sensors in the furnace, and two concentration probes of NOx and CO at the exhaust exit pipe respectively. The MILD combustion phenomena have been observed at the condition of equivalent ratios of 0.71~0.73, and the temperature uniformity, NOx and CO concentration are also examined at the MILD combustion condition.

. A commercial CFD package was used to analyze the thermal-hydraulic performance of them. The results show that the Zukauskas correlation developed for larger diameter tube and higher Reynolds number are still in good agreement with them within the discrepancy of 4.7%. The analyses also show that the Nuselt number increases with a decrease in the longitudinal pitch.

Experimental Investigation of Nano-sized Particulate Matter Emission Characteristics under Engine Operating Conditions from Common Rail Diesel Engine

The objective of this work presented here was experimental study of steadystate and cold start exhaust nano-sized particle characteristics from common rail diesel engine. The effect of the diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) on the particle number reduction was insignificant, however, particle number concentration levels were reduced by 3 orders of magnitude into the downstream of diesel particulate filter (DPF). In high speed and load conditions, natural regeneration of trapped particle occurred inside DPF and it was referable to increase particle number concentration. As fuel injection timing was shifted BTDC
, particle number concentration level was slightly reduced, however particle number and size was increased at ATDC
. Nucleation type particle reduced and accumulation type particle was increased on EGR condition.
Design and Fabrication of an Energy Saving LED-Fishing Lamp

This paper dealt with the design and fabrication of an energy saving light emitting diode (LED) fishing lamp. Most fishes such as a squid, horse mackerel, mackerel, sardine and scabbard fish have characteristics for phototaxis and fishing lamps have promoted the fishery efficiency using their photo-reaction. In these days, metal halide lamp (MHL) as the fishing lamp, which consumes 1.5 kW and radiates harmful ultraviolet rays are mainly used. To develop the LED-fishing lamp, the penetration depth in sea water and the photo-reaction of a squid as light wavelength were studied. The experimental results showed the both characteristics were existed in blue color around 470 nm. Based on the results, we manufactured a 160 W and blue LED-fishing lamp which is consume about one-nine of 1.5 kW MHL. As energy saving effect, the use of LED-fishing lamp can reduce 128 kWh per an hour which is correspond to
of 86 kg for a 22ton-fishing boat equipped with 80-1.5 kW MHL. Now, the prototype LED fishing lampsare being evaluated on two fishing boats.
Conversion and Storage of NMEA 2000 PGN Data into IEC 61162-4 Tag Format

Appropriate networks are required for the processing of various kinds of data generated on shipboard. The international standards, NMEA 2000 and IEC 61161-4, meet this requirement. NMEA 2000 is good for the processing of real time data, and IEC 61162-4 is better for the integrated management of such data. Therefore, NMEA 2000 data should be conversed into IEC 61162-4 format for the integrated management. This paper presents files and algorithm for the format conversion, and also describes their implementation.

The high tech marine transportation infrastructure is an innovative transportation infrastructure that may be able to secure a safe transportation environment as well as efficient operation by connecting up-to-date skills including a broad range of wire and wireless communication-based information, control and electronics technologies. When integrated into the marine transportation infrastructure by the standard requirements, these standard technologies help monitor and manage navigational aids. After investigated on current status of marine transportation system, verified on integrating marine transportation systems, the standard requirements have to suggest a appropriate way of integrating marine traffic systems and proper way of using old marine traffic infrastructure.

Lifeboat davit is composed of main frame, main arm, upper arm and support bar. In this paper, design parameters that affect the bending stiffness were set as plate thickness, width and hight of upper arm. To analyze the influence of parameter factors, FEM and Taguchi Method were used. This paper will help substantially in many industries.
A Study on Assessment of Depth Data from Hydrographic Surveying Using MBES around South Sea of Samcheonpo

Port of Samcheonpo, designated as a Trading Port, is constructing New Port for the increase in trade and the requirement of maritime safety is growing. To meet these requirement for maritime safety, hydrographic surveying around south sea area of Samcheonpo using Multibeam Echo Sounder(MBES), DGPS etc was conducted. In this study, major item of hydrographic surveying such as sounding data was acquired and analyzed depth data comparing with vertical uncertainty in the special publication for hydrographic minimum specification published in Feb, 2008 by International Hydrographic Organization. By analyzing the depth data with 3 steps procedure, the port and starboard beam by removing the outskirts of the data processing could improve the efficiency and accuracy. The error of south sea were about 0.2m and the upper central part of the error were within 0.2m. Depth data of the study area are included in the 99% of 1st order and satisfied with a 100% tolerance of special order based on the international hydrograhic survey standard. This study will be a good case to support efficient decision-making for safe navigation, coastal management.
