The Relationship between Teachers' Efficacy Belief and Interactions of Teachers and Children

The goal of this study was to examine the relationship between teachers' efficacy belief and interactions between teachers and children of childcare teachers, and utilize the results as the basic data to educate of teachers. The subjects were 205 teachers at 48 childcare centers located in the Jeonlabukdo area. The results of this study are as follows: First, personal teaching efficacy and factors of interactions between teachers and children were significantly different by the types of childcare institution. Second, personal teaching efficacy was correlated positively with teachers' experiences. General teaching efficacy, personal teaching efficacy and factors of interactions between teachers and children were correlated positively with teachers' age. Third, factors of interactions between teachers and children were correlated positively with personal teaching efficacy. Lastly, personal teaching efficacy was the most powerful variable influencing interactions between teachers and children.
The Sibling Relationship, the Attachment to Parent and Peer by Birth Order and Sibling Gender Composition

The objective of this study was to investigate the sibling relationship, the attachment to parent and peer according to children's gender, birth order, and sibling gender composition. For this purpose, 697 male and female elementary students answered the questionnaire, who were selected because they had only one sibling. The date were analysed by t-test and partial correlation. The major finding of this study showed that children who had same sex of sibling perceived more positive way to their younger sibling then children who had different sex of sibling and that children who had female sibling perceived more positive way to sibling relationship, attachment to parent and their peers than children who had male sibling.
A Study On the Effect of Parent's Rearing Attitudes, Social Support On the Children's Emotional Intelligence

The purpose of this study was to investigated, On the Effect of Parent's Rearing Attitudes, Social Support On the Children's Emotional Intelligence. 243 Children were surveyed for this study. Spss/pc was run for statistical data analysis. This study abstracted that the most important factors Parent's Rearing Attitudes, Social support, Emotional Intelligence. In conclusion, this study implies that retraining and teaching programs for teachers need to be accessed variably, considered with the results of this paper.
Analysis of Young Children's Peer Conflict Process

The purposes of this study were (1) to investigate the relationship of conflict components, and (2) to investigate interaction of conflict participants. Subjects were ninety-four 3-, 4- and 5-year-olds recruited from eleven child care centers in Seoul, Kyonggi and Incheon province. Interaction process between these young children were recorded by a video camera, and the scenes were transcribed for analysis of peer conflict situations which occurred between two children. Statistical methods used for data analysis were frequencies, percentiles, means, standard deviations, Chi-square. First conflict components are interrelated. There was a significant difference conflict resolution strategies according to conflict issue, and a significant difference conflict outcomes according to conflict resolution strategies. Also conflict outcomes were related to conflict emotion expression. Second, the stratigies interaction of conflict participants were significant and conflict emotion expression of conflict participants were significant.
