Employed Mother's Work-mother Role Conflict According to Mother's Work Variables and Parenting Time

The objective of this study was to investigate the employed mother's work-mother role conflict according to the mother's work variables and parenting time. For this purpose, 202 employed mothers in dual-income family answered the questionnaire. The data were analysed by t-test, F-test, correlations and regressions. The findings of this study were: 1. Mother's role conflict showed significant difference and relationship in mother's work variables(flexibility of duty, irregular duty). 2. Mother's role conflict showed significant difference and relationship in mother's parenting time(mother-child activities, parenting time). 3. Employed mother's flexibility of duty and parenting time were correlated positively with mother's role conflict. Mother's irregular duty and mother-child activities were negatively with mother's role conflict. 4. Employed mother's work variables and parenting time influenced the mother's rolr conflict.
The Effect of Small Group Plastic Artistic Activities on the Emotional Intelligence of Early Young Children

An abundant emotional experience in childhood can be a basis of success of their life. In this research, I set up a hypothesis as follows to see if a group plastic activities are effective for the improvement of children's emotional intelligence and self-emotion awareness ability, self-emotion management ability, self-motivation ability, other's emotion awareness ability and personal relationship skill ability. The research subjects were 40 children of 5 years old(experimental Group: 20, controlled group: 20) in Y kindergarten located in Ulsan. In pretest, we confirmed homogeneity between experiment and control group using child emotional checklist and then applied small group plastic artistic activities to the experiment group. Data analysis was performed with population, percentage, t-test and Cronbach a. The findings of this study were: First, the group plastic artistic activities was effective for the emotional intelligence of children. Second, the small group plastic activities was effective for the self-emotion awareness, self-emotion control and self motivation ability of children. Third, the small group plastic activities was effective for the awareness ability about other's emotion and personal relationship skill ability. The result of this study implies that the small group plastic artistic activities are effective children's emotion and we need to develop the various activity program and practice for children's emotion development.
Mother's Verbal Control and Children's Self-Regulation

The purpose of this study was to examine difference of Young Children's Self-Regulation by Mother's Verbal Control. To do so, The subject was composed of 146 3-, 4-, 5-year-old recruited from 5 child care centers in I city area And it utilized questionnaires to ask 146 mothers concerning Mother's Verbal Control and Young Children's Self-Regulation. The findings of this study were : First, the age and the gender of young children didn't affect the mother's verbal control. Second, the age of young children positively affected self decision and total self regulation total that is the subordinate area of self regulation. Third, use degree of mother's order and humanity verbal control divided high and low group up to the standard average value. As a result a low rank distribution of mother's verbal control positively affected. Forth, a result a low rank distribution of mother's verbal control positively affected self decision and behavior restrain and emotion and total self regulation total that is the subordinate area of self regulation.
The Effect of the Integrative Pre-Parent Education Program on the College Students' Parenting Knowledge and Their Parenting Self-Efficacy

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of the integrative pre-parent education program on the college students' parenting knowledge and theirs parenting self-efficacy. The program was consisted of recognizing the motivation for parenthood, the apprehension of the parenting knowledge and skill according to the children's development, communication skill and using the support system. The subject were 254 college students. one hundred seventeen students participated in the program and one hundred thirty eight did not. Before the inaugurating program, the pretest was done, and for 12-weeks period, the program was proceeded. After the intervention, all the subjects were tested. The data were analyzed in SPSS Win 9.0 program by t-test and Cronbach's
. As a result, the college students in the experimental group were higher in the parenting knowledge and their parenting self-efficacy than those in the control group.
Mothers' Expectation on School Adjustment of Their Preschool Children and Mothers' Perception of Parenting Efficacy and Children's Competence

This study aims to understand the relationship between mothers' expectation on school adjustment of their preschool children and mothers' perception of their parenting efficacy and their children's competence. Subjects were 340 mothers of 4-5 year old children attending child care centers and kindergartens located in Seoul and Kyunggy area. Test on elementary school children's school adjustment by Lim(1993). Parenting sense of competence adapted by Shin(1997), and Self-Perception profile for children' competence adapted by Jeon(1992) and Suh(1999) were adapted and used to measure mothers' expectation of their children's school adjustment, mothers' perception on their parenting efficacy and children's competence each. The data were analyzed by t-test, Correlation, simple and multiple regression analysis. The results of this study are as follows. Mothers who have jobs and have graduated university or more showed higher expectation on school adjustment of their children. Mothers also expect higher school adjustment of their daughters and of not the first child in their family. The more mothers percept their parenting efficacy, the higher they expect their children's school adjustment. Mothers's perception on their children's competence also showed same relationship with expectation of their children's school adjustment, that is, the more mothers percept their children's competence, the higher they expect their children's school adjustment.
Child Care Teacher's Job Satisfaction and Infant Temperament Associated with teacher-student Relationship in the 2-year-olds class

The purposes of this study were to investigate child care teacher's job Satisfaction and infant temperament associated with teacher-infant relationship in the infant class. The subjects were 175 infants and 50 their teachers in Chung Ju City. The collected data were analyzed by paired sample t-test, ANOVA using the SPSSWIN Computer Program. The results of this study were; First, Child Care teacher's job Satisfaction the infant class was high in teachers with low age group. Second, Child Care teacher's job Satisfaction in the infant class was high in teachers were positively related to intimacy of teacher-infant relationship. Finally, Infant temperament were no related to teacher-student relationship.
