The Research Journal of the Costume Culture, volume 14, issue 2, 2006, Pages 260~270
In this research, the curly dock was used in the process of dyeing for fabrics of the inner wear & the patient wear. Since the curly dock has a pharmacological effect on dermatosis, this study focused on the variety of color and functions of the inner wear fabrics & patient wear fabrics to make the best use of the pharmacological effect of curly dock. With regards to giving a variety of colors and functions in the inner wear, patient wear fabrics, the curly dock dye was used in each treatment conditions on the cotton & silk fabrics. After dyeing, the dyeability, color change, light fastness, washing fastness, perspiration fastness, antibiosis, far infrared emissivity and emission power were evaluated. The evaluation results are as follows; The dyeablity increased from repeated dyeing and, by using the mordant, variety of colors such as skin, mustard, greyish-brown and dark earth colors were conformed to the naked eye. Fe mordant was better than Al on the lightfastness and the washing fastness. The repeated dyeing was found out to have less effect on neither lightfastness nor washing fastness. Both silk and cotton fabrics were graded
, since their degree of degradation appeared to be the same in alkali perspiration and acidic perspiration. In the case of silk fabrics mordanted by Al, the rate of declining in both Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 6538 and Klebsiella pneumonia ATCC 4352 were 99.9%. In addition, the antibiosis was enhanced when the mordant was used. The far infrared was 86.6% of emissivity,

Sung, Ok-Jin ; Ha, Hee-Jung ;
The Research Journal of the Costume Culture, volume 14, issue 2, 2006, Pages 271~285
The purpose of this study was to develop a new basic skirt pattern for 4 lower body types of Plus-sized women. To reduce a time and economic loss about putting it on, This study applied a 3D sample module in the course to develop a basic skirt pattern which is fit, functional and beautiful. A data analysis used the SPSS 11.0 statistics program. To verify the difference, This study used the variance analysis and Duncan's test for the postmortem verification. The result was as follows. To reflect a feature according to an abdomen projection and hip projection, we added the maximum hip circumference to the waist circumference and hip circumference for necessary for a skirt draft item. The front hip circumference sets to the H/4+1cm(ease)+D/4. The back hip circumference set to the H/4+0.5cm(ease)+D/4. The D is the hip circumference in the maximum hip circumference to subtract. The front waist circumference sets to the W/4+0.5cm(ease)+0.5cm(A front and back's difference)+D/4. The back waist circumference sets to the W/4+0.5cm(ease)-0.5cm(A front and back's difference)-D/4. Compare with 4 lower body types of Plus-sized Women, A type 2 and type 4 abdomen projections are bigger. We raised a front waistline of skirt pattern to a 0.3cm upside, and take about 1.3cm down the skirt length from a developed skirt pattern. Consequently, the appearance of a front skirt length was improved with a side skirt length.

Uh, Mi-Kyung ; Lee, Mi-Sook ; Suh, Mi-A ;
The Research Journal of the Costume Culture, volume 14, issue 2, 2006, Pages 286~298
The purpose of this study is to find the proper width of fabric which can bring high efficiency on productivity. We focus on the marking method by comparing and analyzing the marking efficiency of flare skirt. This study employs 4 criteria to mark the flare skirt, which are angle, location, width, and direction, respectively. There can be 3 different angles
, and 2 different locations(the center line and the middle of the pattern) according to fixing of the warp line of the fabric. Also, width can be classified into 2 groups(110cm, 150cm), and marking direction can be grouped into 2(one direction marker and one direction per each size marker). These 4 criteria make
cases for this study. Main findings are follows. Fist, the skirt with the 150cm width has higher efficiency rate than that of 110cm. Second, fixing the warp line at the center line has higher efficiency rate than that in the middle. Finally, per size marker has much higher efficiency than the just direction marker. In sum, we find that 150cm width with the center warp line and per size marker brings the highest efficiency rate.

The Research Journal of the Costume Culture, volume 14, issue 2, 2006, Pages 310~319
This study intended to compare and analyze marking efficiencies of tailored jacket based on different cloth and production conditions, 'the width of cloth', 'the number of marking pieces' and 'the direction for marking deployment'. The results were as follows. For the two pieces of markers, the efficiency of the cloth width of 110cm was higher than that of 150cm. As the number of markers increased, the efficiency of cloth width of 150cm was higher than that of 110cm. In the case of one-directional deployment, the results obtained was that the efficiency of two markers was higher than that of three markers, while, in the case of bi-directional deployment, the efficiency of three markers was higher than that of two markers. In the case of one-directional deployment for each size, the marking efficiencies were higher in two markers at the cloth width of 110 cm and higher in three markers at the cloth width of 150 cm. Then, in marking efficiencies according to the direction for marking deployment, bi-direction marker was the most efficient marker, followed by one-direction for each size marker and one-direction marker.
