Measurement of the Photon Fluence for the Evaluation of Photon Detection Efficiency of Photon Counting Sensor

Recently, the various digital X-ray imaging devices using CCD and TFT LCD-based flat panel digital X-ray sensor are being used. In particular, a number of studies on photon counting sensor technique have been reported. In this study, the incident X-rays fluence on the photon counting sensor material was measured to estimate photon detection efficiency which is the quantitative performance evaluation factor of photon counting sensor. The result of measuring the photon fluence by using RQA-M2 Radiation beam quality of IEC 61223-1-2 recommendations, the incident photon fluence could be defined as about
pin-hole area, and about
pin-hole area, and about
pin-hole area. Consequently, with the previously setup of the incident fluence, the measuring of actual photon counting efficiency by observing the output waveform of the photon counting sensor material was considered possible.
A Study of Whiter Matter Fiber Tractography in Young Internet Addiction Disorder using a Brain Diffusion Tensor Magnetic Resonance Imaging

The goal of this study is to investigate corpus callosum and both internal capsule changes with the internet addiction disorder compared to control group using MR diffusion tensor imaging. A total of 22 teenager volunteers who had 10 high-risk group with internet addiction and 12 normal control group were conducted for this study. Imaging was conducted on a 3 T using a EPI sequence. Image evaluation was analysed of the FA, ADC(
), length(mm). We did select ROI for image tracking on corpus callosum of 5 and including 2(internal capsule). The data from these ROIs were compared statistically among the groups using independent t-test, correlation coefficient. There were significant inter-group differences(p<0.05) among FA, ADC(
) and length(mm). And also significantly negative correlations were fond between FA values of corpus callosum and IAD scale(p=0.000). DTI was shown significant changes of FA and ADC, LNF values in IAD compared to control group. Therefore, our results may provided clinical information for brain wite matter functions.
Characteristics of Scattered Rays Depending on the Use of a Flattening Filter

This Study aims at measuring scattered rays depending on the use of a flattening filter when radiation is irradiated using a linear accelerator. measurement of the scattered rays, an ionization chamber was used, and the energy of the irradiated radiation was 6 MV and 10 MV. The ionization chamber was located at the spot 15 cm, 25 cm, 35 cm and 45 cm far away from the center of gantry rotation, and the scattered rays were measured according to whether a flattening filter was used or not and to the distance. As the result of investigation of 100 cGy about each energy, when the flattening filter was not used with 6 MV, it occurred at a low level of 65%, and with 10 MV at that of 55%. In other words, it's been concluded that when a flattening filter is not used for radiation dose of the parts around the critical organ, scattered rays generate in a small quantity, and it's a useful way to decrease the stochastic effect of radiation.
The Effect of Dose Distribution under Treatment Techniques on Cerebrospinal Irradiation

This study tries to evaluate the usefulness CSI treatment. Compare the standard technique and simple technique, using the volume region of a high dose of Field joints (hot spot) or low dose regions (cold Spot). In patients who agreed to this study, obtain CT image using CT simulator skull to pelvis region. Standard Technique were performed on the movement of the joint radiation field range and simple technique has set a treatment plan to secure the radiation field range and analyzed treatment planning. Under analysis standard technique occurred the area of the high dose(Hot Spot) for the area overlapping the field and simple technique showing a uniform doses. CI indices of standard technique and simple technique was 1.6~3, 1.6~1.87, CN indices was 0.32~0.53, 0.46~0.51 and HI indices was 0.11~0.33, 0.2~0.26. Therefore, adjacent to part of the dose distribution junction more equally than simple technique compared to the Standard Technique. Compare the dose distribution patterns using CI, CN, HI indices, showed a uniform dose distribution in the simple technique. so, simple technique was determined appropriate treatment the CSI.
Improvement of Patient Safety and Inspection Satisfaction by Developing Pretreatment Process System with the Patients Who Reserved CT Enhance Examination

This study aims to improve the satisfaction level of the patient who undergoes CT contrast examination by developing and applying pretreatment process system, which not only can reduce the side effects caused by the test but also can help carry out the test smoothly. The subjects were 214 patients who booked CT contrast examination from January 2014 to February 2014 but could not carry out their test on schedule. We analyzed the reasons for the delay and conducted follow-up survey on them. We analyzed the usefulness of pretreatment process system by contemplating and developing pretreatment process system and applying it to the patients for whom follow-up survey was conducted from January 2015 to February 2015. The number of outpatients who came to the hospital form January to February 2014 was 2,846 and the number of patients who could not undergo the test was 214, accounting for 7.52% of the total. The specific reason for the delay includes 214 cases of unknown creatinine 98 with 120 minutes of average delay time, 40 cases of creatinine over 1.3(19%) with 30minutes of average delay time, 34 cases of past contrast media side effect 6% with 40 minutes of average delay time and 25 cases of lack of pretreatment such as fasting, etc. 11% with 120minutes of average delay time. The number of CT scan has been increasing ever since the development of CT and the frequency of using the contrast media is expected to increase. If we can employ pretreatment process system in order to effectively control the side effect of contrast media and help the CT contrast examination to be smoothly conducted on schedule, I'm sure we could improve the quality of our medical service and increase our patients' satisfaction who come to our CT scan room.
Dose Evaluation of the Man Adjacent to an Implanted Patient During the Prostate Cancer Brachytherapy

This study is fulfilled to evaluate the exposure dose nearby a patient during the brachytherapy of the prostate cancer treatment and to minimize the radiation exposure by evaluating the exposure dose of the person near the relevant implanted patient, technicians and gardians. The experiment method is used on the study is MCNPX that is stood on the basis monte-carlo method and implant the source to MIRD-type phantom in
in virtual space. For dose evaluations according to distance, the radiation dose on the patient near the corresponding implanted patient is evaluated by each distance of 30, 50, 100, 200 cm to anterior from the implanted patient. As a result,
showed a higher dose than
in every distance.
Image Quality Improvement in Computed Tomography by Using Anisotropic 2-Dimensional Diffusion Based Filter

The purpose of this study was tried to remove the noise and improve the spatial resolution in the computed tomography (CT) by using anisotropic 2-dimensional (2D) diffusion based filter. We used 4-channel multi-detector CT and american association of physicists in medicine (AAPM) phantom was used for CT performance evaluation to evaluate the image quality. X-ray irradiation conditions for image acquisition was fixed at 120 kVp, 100 mAs and scanned 10 mm axis with ultra-high resolution. The improvement of anisotropic 2D diffusion filtering that we suggested firstly, increase the contrast of the image by using histogram stretching to the original image for 0.4%, and multiplying the individual pixels by 1.2 weight value, and applying the anisotropic diffusion filtering. As a result, we could distinguished five holes until 0.75 mm in the original image but, five holes until 0.40 mm in the image with improved anisotropic diffusion filter. The noise of the original image was 46.0, the noise of the image with improved anisotropic 2D diffusion filter was decreased to 33.5(27.2%). In conclusion improved anisotropic 2D diffusion filter that we proposed could remove the noise of the CT image and improve the spatial resolution.

March 11, 2011 Fukushima nuclear power plant accident has occurred, the last four years, his is the current state of anxiety remains on the consumer. Therefore, 2015 the current progress continues to have continued research for the purpose of resolving the insecurity of fishery in the country. We measured the radiation of the origin of fishery products, by 2015, research was carried out through a number of references to get additional data or studies that influence this to some degree. Development of Automatic Voice System for Foreign Patients in Testing of Magnetic Resonance Imaging

The purpose of this study intend to develop the automatic voice system for language communicating over foreign patients in testing of magnetic resonance imaging. Used sentences for the automatic voice system was selected with twelve sentences and five foreign languages in hospital in use. These translated texts were provided free of charge from Oddcast's website, which is recorded each language-specific voice as Wav files, The recorded audio file were produced by the two types of a power-point show of MS-office 2013(extension; ppsx) form and Web-enabled system using the PHP program to be applied in the mobile phone environment. It is considered to relieve the stress about an language barrier to medical technician and the voice system designed with the variable language will be enhanced the diagnostic information on foreign patients. Because automatic voice system designed for this study can enhance the understanding of test in between korean medical technician and foreign patients, It will be expected to utilize more usefully in clinical practice.
A Study on the Job Satisfaction and Turnover Intention of Radiological Technologist-Turned Hospital Managers

Therefore the job satisfaction of organizational members should be raised to cut down on their turnover rate. The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship of the general characteristics of radiological technologist-turned hospital managers to their job satisfaction and turnover intention in a bid to identify factors affecting their job satisfaction and turnover intention. The major findings of the study were as follows: First, as for job satisfaction and turnover intention, the radiological technologist-turned hospital managers investigated got a mean of 3.00 and 2.79 respectively on overall job satisfaction and turnover intention out of five points. Their job satisfaction was slightly above the average (2.5), which indicated that they weren't gratified with their job. Their turnover intention was a little above the average as well, which implied that there was a tendency for them to seek another job. The findings of the study seem to suggest that the radiological technologist-turned hospital managers should make a new investment in their own future as their identity was thrown into confusion with age. They are expected to make a preparation for their future to open up a new chapter for themselves instead of being merely contented with their present position.
