PROXIMAL POINT ALGORITHMS BASED ON THE (A,
)-MONOTONE MAPPINGS
Qin, Xiaolong ; Shang, Meijuan ; Yuan, Qing ;
Journal of the Chungcheong Mathematical Society , volume 21, issue 2, 2008, Pages 147~155
Abstract
In this paper, we consider proximal point algorithms based on (
)-monotone mappings in the framework of Hilbert spaces. Since (
)-monotone mappings generalize A-monotone mappings,
-monotone mappings and many other mappings, our results improve and extend the recent ones announced by [R.U. Verma, Rockafellars celebrated theorem based on A-maximal monotonicity design, Appl. Math. Lett. 21 (2008), 355-360] and [ R.T. Rockafellar, Monotone operators and the proximal point algorithm, SIAM J. Control Optim. 14 (1976) 877-898] and some others.

CHARACTERISTIC MULTIFRACTAL IN A SELF-SIMILAR CANTOR SET
Baek, In-Soo ;
Journal of the Chungcheong Mathematical Society , volume 21, issue 2, 2008, Pages 157~163
Abstract
We study essentially disjoint one dimensionally indexed classes whose members are distribution sets of a self-similar Cantor set. The Hausdorff dimension of the union of distribution sets in a same class does not increases the Hausdorff dimension of the characteristic distribution set in the class. Further we study the Hausdorff dimension of some uncountable union of distribution sets.

Koh, Hee-Jeong ;
Journal of the Chungcheong Mathematical Society , volume 21, issue 2, 2008, Pages 165~174
Abstract
In this paper, we obtain the general solution, the generalized Hyers-Ulam-Rassias stability, and the stability by using the alternative fixed point for a cubic functional equation

DEGREE OF NEARNESS
Lee, Seung-On ; Lee, Eun-Pyo ;
Journal of the Chungcheong Mathematical Society , volume 21, issue 2, 2008, Pages 175~182
Abstract
This paper is a revised version of [5]. In [5], we define' nearness between two points' in a topological space in many ways and show that a continuous function preserves one-sided nearness. We also show that a
-space is characterized by one-sided nearness exactly. In this paper, we introduce extremally disconnected spaces and show that the new topology generated by the set of equivalence classes as a base is extremally disconnected.

RECURSIONS FOR TRACES OF SINGULAR MODULI
Kim, Chang-Heon ;
Journal of the Chungcheong Mathematical Society , volume 21, issue 2, 2008, Pages 183~188
Abstract
We will derive recursion formulas satisfied by the traces of singular moduli for the higher level modular function.

Journal of the Chungcheong Mathematical Society , volume 21, issue 2, 2008, Pages 189~196
Abstract
In this paper, we study

DOUGLAS SPACES OF THE SECOND KIND OF FINSLER SPACE WITH A MATSUMOTO METRIC
Lee, Il-Yong ;
Journal of the Chungcheong Mathematical Society , volume 21, issue 2, 2008, Pages 209~221
Abstract
In the present paper, first we define a Douglas space of the second kind of a Finsler space with an (
)-metric. Next we find the conditions that the Finsler space with an (
)-metric be a Douglas space of the second kind and the Finsler space with a Matsumoto metric be a Douglas space of the second kind.

AN UPPER BOUND OF THE RECIPROCAL SUMS OF GENERALIZED SUBSET-SUM-DISTINCT SEQUENCE
Bae, Jae-Gug ;
Journal of the Chungcheong Mathematical Society , volume 21, issue 2, 2008, Pages 223~230
Abstract
In this paper, we present an upper bound of the reciprocal sums of generalized subset-sum-distinct sequences with respect to the first terms of the sequences. And we show the suggested upper bound is best possible. This is a kind of generalization of [1] which contains similar result for classical subset-sum-distinct sequences.

GENERALIZED ANALYTIC FEYNMAN INTEGRALS INVOLVING GENERALIZED ANALYTIC FOURIER-FEYNMAN TRANSFORMS AND GENERALIZED INTEGRAL TRANSFORMS
Chang, Seung-Jun ; Chung, Hyun-Soo ;
Journal of the Chungcheong Mathematical Society , volume 21, issue 2, 2008, Pages 231~246
Abstract
In this paper, we use a generalized Brownian motion process to define a generalized analytic Feynman integral. We then establish several integration formulas for generalized analytic Feynman integrals generalized analytic Fourier-Feynman transforms and generalized integral transforms of functionals in the class of functionals
. Finally, we use these integration formulas to obtain several generalized Feynman integrals involving the generalized analytic Fourier-Feynman transform and the generalized integral transform of functionals in

ON SPECTRAL SUBSPACES OF SEMI-SHIFTS
Han, Hyuk ; Yoo, Jong-Kwang ;
Journal of the Chungcheong Mathematical Society , volume 21, issue 2, 2008, Pages 247~257
Abstract
In this paper, we show that for a semi-shift the analytic spectral subspace coincides with the algebraic spectral subspace. Using this result, we have the following result. Let T be a decomposable operator on a Banach space X and let S be a semi-shift on a Banach space Y. Then every linear operator
is necessarily continuous.

ON A CHARACTERIZATION OF T-FUNCTIONS WITH ONE CYCLE PROPERTY
Rhee, Min-Surp ;
Journal of the Chungcheong Mathematical Society , volume 21, issue 2, 2008, Pages 259~268
Abstract
To the design of secret key, there are two types of basic approaches called the tame approach and the wild approach. In the tame approach we try to use only simple primitives such as linear feedback shift registers and to prove mathematical theorems about their cryptographic properties. In the wild approach we try to use crazy compositions of operations which mix a variety of domains in a nonlinear and nonalgebraic way. There are several papers which try to bridge this gap by considering semi-wild constructions. A T-function on n-bit words plays an important role in semi-wild constructions. In this paper we study the invertibility and the period of some T-functions. Especially we characterize some polynomials which has a single cycle property.

Abstract
Let

CHARACTERIZATIONS OF THE WEIBULL DISTRIBUTION BY THE INDEPENDENCE OF RECORD VALUES
Chang, Se-Kyung ;
Journal of the Chungcheong Mathematical Society , volume 21, issue 2, 2008, Pages 279~285
Abstract
This paper presents some characterizations of theWeibull distribution by the independence of record values. We prove that
> 0 if and only if
are independent. We show that
> 0 if and only if
are independent. And we establish that $X\;\sim\;Weibull(1,\;\alpha),\;\alpha\;>\;0\;if\;and\;only\;if\;\frac{X_{U(n+1)}+X_{U(n)}}{X_{U(n+1)}-X_{U(n)}}\;and\;X_{U(n+1)}\;for\;n\;\geq\;1$ are independent.

JOINT WEAK SUBNORMALITY OF OPERATORS
Lee, Jun-Ik ; Lee, Sang-Hoon ;
Journal of the Chungcheong Mathematical Society , volume 21, issue 2, 2008, Pages 287~292
Abstract
We introduce jointly weak subnormal operators. It is shown that if T = (
) is subnormal then T is weakly subnormal and if f T = (
) is weakly subnormal then T is hyponormal. We discuss the flatness of weak subnormal operators.
