THE CONVERGENCE BALL OF INEXACT NEWTON-LIKE METHOD IN BANACH SPACE UNDER WEAK LIPSHITZ CONDITION
Argyros, Ioannis K. ; George, Santhosh ;
Journal of the Chungcheong Mathematical Society , volume 28, issue 1, 2015, Pages 1~12
DOI : 10.14403/jcms.2015.28.1.1
Abstract
We present a local convergence analysis for inexact Newton-like method in a Banach space under weaker Lipschitz condition. The convergence ball is enlarged and the estimates on the error distances are more precise under the same computational cost as in earlier studies such as [6, 7, 11, 18]. Some special cases are considered and applications for solving nonlinear systems using the Newton-arithmetic mean method are improved with the new convergence technique.

COMMON FIXED POINTS FOR TWO MAPPINGS WITH EXPANSIVE PROPERTIES ON COMPLEX VALUED METRIC SPACES
Piao, Yong-Jie ;
Journal of the Chungcheong Mathematical Society , volume 28, issue 1, 2015, Pages 13~28
DOI : 10.14403/jcms.2015.28.1.13
Abstract
In this paper, we use two mappings satisfying certain expansive conditions to construct convergent sequences in complex valued metric spaces, and then we prove that the limits of the convergent sequences are the points of coincidence or common fixed points for the two mappings. The main theorems in this paper are the generalizations and improvements of the corresponding results in real metric spaces, cone metric spaces and topological vector space-valued cone metric spaces.

Journal of the Chungcheong Mathematical Society , volume 28, issue 1, 2015, Pages 53~63
DOI : 10.14403/jcms.2015.28.1.53
Abstract
In this paper, we define and study the Riemann-Stieltjes diamond-alpha integral on time scales. Many properties of this integral will be obtained. The Riemann-Stieltjes diamond-alpha integral contains the Riemann{Stieltjes integral and diamond-alpha integral as special cases.

GENERALIZED AFFINE DEVELOPMENTS
Park, Joon-Sik ;
Journal of the Chungcheong Mathematical Society , volume 28, issue 1, 2015, Pages 65~72
DOI : 10.14403/jcms.2015.28.1.65
Abstract
The (affine) development of a smooth curve in a smooth manifold M with respect to an arbitrarily given affine connection in the bundle of affine frames over M is well known (cf. S.Kobayashi and K.Nomizu, Foundations of Differential Geometry, Vol.1). In this paper, we get the generalized affine development of a smooth curve
(
) in M into the affine tangent space at
(
) with respect to a given generalized affine connection in the bundle of affine frames over M.

Journal of the Chungcheong Mathematical Society , volume 28, issue 1, 2015, Pages 89~95
DOI : 10.14403/jcms.2015.28.1.89

Journal of the Chungcheong Mathematical Society , volume 28, issue 1, 2015, Pages 103~108
DOI : 10.14403/jcms.2015.28.1.103
Abstract
In this paper we prove that
-generically, if a diffeomorphism f on a closed
manifold M satisfies weak specification on a locally maximal set
then
is hyperbolic for f. As a corollary we obtain that

THE RELATIVE ENTROPY UNDER THE R-CGMY PROCESSES
Kwon, YongHoon ; Lee, Younhee ;
Journal of the Chungcheong Mathematical Society , volume 28, issue 1, 2015, Pages 109~117
DOI : 10.14403/jcms.2015.28.1.109
Abstract
We consider the relative entropy for two R-CGMY processes, which are CGMY processes with Y equal to 1, to choose an equivalent martingale measure (EMM) when the underlying asset of a derivative follows a R-CGMY process in the financial market. Since the R-CGMY process leads to an incomplete market, we have to use a proper technique to choose an EMM among a variety of EMMs. In this paper, we derive the closed form expression of the relative entropy for R-CGMY processes.

A REMARK ON THE REGULARIZED GAP FUNCTION FOR IQVI
Kum, Sangho ;
Journal of the Chungcheong Mathematical Society , volume 28, issue 1, 2015, Pages 145~150
DOI : 10.14403/jcms.2015.28.1.145
Abstract
Aussel et al. [1] introduced the notion of inverse quasi-variational inequalities (IQVI) by combining quasi-variational inequalities and inverse variational inequalities. Discussions are made in a finite dimensional Euclidean space. In this note, we develop an infinite dimensional version of IQVI by investigating some basic properties of the regularized gap function of IQVI in a Banach space.

Kang, Ensil ; Lee, Jihoon ;
Journal of the Chungcheong Mathematical Society , volume 28, issue 1, 2015, Pages 161~172
DOI : 10.14403/jcms.2015.28.1.161
Abstract
In this paper, we consider the chemotaxis-haptotaxis model of tumor invasion with the proliferation and tissue re-establishment term in dimensions one and two. We show the global in time existence of a unique classical solution for the the model in two dimensional spatial domain without any restrictions on the coefficients.
