DOI : 10.5392/JKCA.2010.10.2.014
Because WSNs operate with limited resources of sensor nodes, its life is extended by cluster-based routing methods. In this study, we use data on direction, distance, density and residual energy in order to maximize the energy efficiency of cluster-based routing methods. Through this study, we expect to minimize the frequency of isolated nodes when selecting a new cluster head autonomously using information on the direction of the upper cluster head, and to reduce energy consumption by switching sensor nodes, which are included in both of the new cluster and the previous cluster and thus do not need to update information, into the sleep mode and updating information only for newly included sensor nodes at the setup phase using distance data. Furthermore, we enhance overall network efficiency by implementing secure and energy-efficient communication through key management robust against internal and external attacks in cluster-based routing techniques. This study suggests the modified cluster head selection scheme which uses the conserved energy in the steady-state phase by reducing unnecessary communications of unchanged nodes between selected cluster head and previous cluster head in the setup phase, and thus prolongs the network lifetime and provides secure and equal opportunity for being cluster head.

The interactive display is providing various interaction modes to users through various ubiquitous computing technologies. These methods were studied for their interactions, but the limits that it is provided to only single user and the device usability were generated. In this paper, we propose a new type of spatial multi interaction interface that provide the various spatial touch interactive to multi users in the ambient display environment. Therefore, we generate the interaction surface so that a user can interact through the IR-LEDs Array Bar installed in the ceiling of the ambient display environment. At this time, a user can experience the various interactions through the spatial touch in an interaction surface. Consequently, this system offers the interactive display and interface method that the users can interact through natural hand movement without the portable devices.

DOI : 10.5392/JKCA.2010.10.2.054
Inverted index structures have become the most efficient data structure for high performance indexing of large text collections, especially online index maintenance, In-Place and merge-based index structures are the two main competing strategies for index construction in dynamic search environments. In the above-mentioned two strategies, a contiguity of posting information is the mainstay of design for online index maintenance and query time. Whereas with the emergence of new storage device(SSD, SCRAM), those do not consider a contiguity of posting information in the design of index structures because of its superiority such as low access latency and I/O throughput speeds. However, SSD(Solid State Drive) is not well suited for traditional inverted structures due to the poor random write throughput in practical systems. In this paper, we propose the new efficient online index structure(SPM) for SSD that significantly reduces the query time and improves the index maintenance performance.

The Journal of the Korea Contents Association, volume 10, issue 2, 2010, Pages 72~80
DOI : 10.5392/JKCA.2010.10.2.072
The 1Gbps clock and data recovery (CDR) circuit using the proposed multi-point phase detector (PD) is presented. The proposed phase detector generates up/down signals comparing 3-point that is data transition point and clock rising/falling edge. The conventional PD uses the pulse width modulation (PWM) that controls the voltage controlled oscillator (VCO) using the width of a pulse period`s multiple. However, the proposed PD uses the pulse number modulation (PNM) that regulates the VCO with the number of half clock cycle pulse. Therefore the proposed PD can controls VCO preciously and reduces the jitter. The CDR circuit is tested using 1Gbps
pseudo random bit sequence (PRBS) input data. The designed CDR circuit shows that is capable of recovering clock and data at rates of 1Gbps. The recovered clock jitter is 7.36ps at 1GHz and the total power consumption is about 12mW. The proposed circuit is implemented using a 0.18um CMOS process under 1.8V supply.

This paper describes a development of next generation information remote retrieval and warning system that enables the user to make slope information retrieval remotely for a rockfall and landslide disaster reduction from mobile environments. And this system will be able to warn with a real-time stability condition about the slope which circumference are contiguous in standard user location. Slope information which provides to the user, become the service which upgrades from depth deep information directness will be able to confirm in order from field with applies multimedia style information which is various. In order to retrieve slope information with the wire and wireless internet from the remote place, we used mobile PC carrying is simple. Also this system attached GPS receiver to mobile PC in order to confirm user location as a real-time from the electronic map from field. Specially this system user location divide the safety of the slope which within the area where are fixed in the center are representative with `safe area`, `collapse area` and `collapse forecast area` etc. And to indicate with the icon of each other different color simultaneously in the electronic map. With like that reason, this system which sees the user even while moving safety condition about circumferential slope from the electronic map is having the strong point will be able to grasp with a real-time in one eye. Also warning message leads at the case real-time when the collapse will occur in specific slope, to inform to the user. Therefore this system which sees will be able to reduce the disaster which is caused by in landslide a very big strong point and has.

DOI : 10.5392/JKCA.2010.10.2.089
The enterprise system is becoming more complex and larger. With the changes of the times, the system is developing to object-oriented programming method(OOP). However, the same code inserts to the core class repetitiously in the OOP, that causes a decrease in productivity and a trouble of application of another requirement. To solve this weak point, we propose a weaving mechanism what applies to metadata and crosscutting concern. For a class optimization and an integration between different languages, we take the following way. This paper uses three ways, those are, metadata generation using reflection, transformation to Abstract Syntax Tree, and mapping through crosscutting information specified XML. Through the proposed theory, class optimization can be accomplished by solving a functional decentralization and a confusion of codes.

The Journal of the Korea Contents Association, volume 10, issue 2, 2010, Pages 99~110
DOI : 10.5392/JKCA.2010.10.2.099
An event means a flow which has a time attribute such as a symptom of patient. Stream data collected by sensors can be summarized as an interval event which has a time interval between the start-time point and the end-time point in multiple stream data environment. Most of temporal mining techniques have considered only the frequent events. However, these approaches may ignore the infrequent event even if it is important. In this paper, we propose a new temporal data mining that can find association rules for the significant temporal relation based on interval events in multidimensional stream data environment. Our method considers the weight of events and stream data on the sensing time point of abnormal events. And we can discover association rules on the significant temporal relation regardless of the occurrence frequency of events. The experimental analysis has shown that our method provide more useful knowledge than other conventional methods.

DOI : 10.5392/JKCA.2010.10.2.120
MANET(Mobile Ad Hoc NETwork) is a collection of mobile nodes that are free to move and organize themselves in an arbitrary manner without any fixed infrastructures. These mobile nodes are connected by wireless links and act as routers for all other nodes in the network. As a router each node in MANET consumes its batteries when forwarding a message, and the selection of the best path to minimize the total power needed to route packets is needed to maximize the lifetime of all nodes. In this paper, we propose a routing protocol considering the remaining battery capacity of nodes in the routing paths. The proposed scheme prevents the battery of each node from being overused and increases the lifetime of the network.

DOI : 10.5392/JKCA.2010.10.2.130
Light Drawing is a photographic technique which exposures are made at night or in a darkened room usually by moving a hand-held light source. Due to the limitations of equipment and environment, users having difficulty in drawing a picture in 3D space. If user take a light drawing, they need a camera that have function and darkened environment. Alternative solution is that we can make a light drawing picture by using the computer drawing tool as in Photoshop. Nevertheless, this solution will let the User lose their interest in drawing because this solution cannot synchronize between the real action of human hand motion and the electronic input devices such as mouse and keyboard. This paper proposed a digital content that can make light drawing easier. We used a digital content that will facility Light Drawing easier. We can measure the light spot position by using the stereo camera. Based on the measured position of the light spot, we reproduce light drawing in virtual space by using drawing effect method.

Yoon, Young-Doo ; Choi, Eun-Young ;
The Journal of the Korea Contents Association, volume 10, issue 2, 2010, Pages 146~154
DOI : 10.5392/JKCA.2010.10.2.146
Argument on the postmodernism of philosophy and history, epic and effect, and culture and art is becoming more ambiguous in scope due to digital technology development. Digital technology makes to change of aesthetic approach over the length and breadth of art and culture including medium art. Analysis of Digital images is changed from presence of images to feature analysis of images which is made by digital technology, and raise the question of how to analyze the images of reproducing digital technology focused on realism. Digital image, focused on hyper reality, should be approached not by film aesthetic approach but by shot unit. Due to emphasizes image reality reproduction by frame unit and not the short unit of the narrative approach, the artistic approach should differ from previous realism practice. Particularly, when considering movies which is focused on illusion, the realistic approach should be realized not in the of realistic approach in narrative aspect but in the aspect of realistic approach in painting aspect.

The Journal of the Korea Contents Association, volume 10, issue 2, 2010, Pages 155~164
DOI : 10.5392/JKCA.2010.10.2.155
This dissertation is considered a historic generation that Chinese film
director remembers through their life. Also it is figured out historic anguish and hurt how it was remembered and appeared in film. They have made actual films through their efforts which are different from the conventional generation. In addition, between memory and oblivion the time`s signification in the history is showed how what way can be represented. It was presented the time`s anguish through memory`s metaphor in Chinese film
works. Also, it was shown the existence`s reality from dream was losing as memory was hiding between desire and despair. Additionally, the self of daily was expressed to unconcernedly accept reality, and its against the unchangeable world`s eye and memory. The
films` desire was expressed passive appearance to accept reality with losing dream in these three things; cannot be reality in the process to figure out own natural character, and appearance to keep traditional character, finally gradually changing reality. When
directors analysis the history as memory, social repression follows family`s repression, family`s repression brings personal repression, and then repression changes to desire, finally the life as a reaction could be maintained. In conclusion, personal desire was covered for fantasy, and the overcoming figure was represented. Moreover, Chinese face that
directors have memorized was presented through these sentiments.

The Journal of the Korea Contents Association, volume 10, issue 2, 2010, Pages 165~175
DOI : 10.5392/JKCA.2010.10.2.165
This paper claims the argument that the taste of own is not the intrinsic value but is determined by the environment or habitus, based on Bourdieu`s theory. This concept of taste leads up to a natural stream of imitation and alignment. We conclude that the stream is the fashion which be justified by the major agreement. But the nature of fashion exists in hegemony and determines a sense of kinship or a point of difference. In this regard, popular cultures as a window circulated fashion have a negative consequence that can be method of discriminating the minority and justifying vested rights. Accordingly, we have to become wary of the strategy of control using fashion and popular cultures, and need to recognize the prior paradigm about fashion. In the process, we can expect that fandom or counter cultures based on digital high technology constitute subjectivity and dynamics of popular by interaction between the objects.

DOI : 10.5392/JKCA.2010.10.2.202
This paper presents plans to develop cultural archetype into a cultural industry. Though, various types of cultural products are being developed, they`re not very popular to consumers and has very limited market. Reason for that is, most of these products are simple replicas of cultural assets or they are focused solely on restoring the traditions without considering trend. This study was focused on patterns found on the relics from mausoleum of king Mooryung of Baek-je. Main focus was the meaning of important patterns as generalized representation of traditional and emotional value. In addition, the study was done with the idea that developing the design of cultural products should be presented in modern style while carrying the traditional value and the story telling elements. The order of developing the design should be, first, forming process based on its original form and the elements, and developing a design motive based on the story the pattern is carrying. Then develop sample products with the motive.

Usefulness of Stanislavski`s `Physical Action` as a Method to Approach to Acting
Han, Jin-Soo ;
The Journal of the Korea Contents Association, volume 10, issue 2, 2010, Pages 224~230
DOI : 10.5392/JKCA.2010.10.2.224
The method to approach to acting today is based upon Stanislavski`s initial theories. This method that emphasizes actors` inner world makes actors nervous and frustrated over again. Watching actors` agony, Stanislavski tried to find a fine method all his life that actors could approach to acting more easily. He, at last, created a new method in the sunset of his life, so called physical action, which approaches to emotion through action. However, it has not been accepted widely because it was transmitted to the western world too late. Emotion is not the thing that everyone can handle freely. But everyone can handle action easily. It can, therefore, be an excellent method to reduce actors` agony. This study tried to experience Stanislavski`s physical action with a text and to find out how it works as an acting method. As a result of it, Stanislavski`s physical action proved to be a valuable method to complement the existing one, and also to have many other positive effects on the natures of acting.

The Journal of the Korea Contents Association, volume 10, issue 2, 2010, Pages 231~240
DOI : 10.5392/JKCA.2010.10.2.231
The major purpose of this study is to examine how the perfectionism of dance majors affect self-efficacy and performance satisfaction. The sampling of this study was done in 2009, by using purposive sampling method with the subjects who are currently the students of an arts high school and dance majors of a college in Daejeon and Chungcheongnam-do. Specifically, by dividing the district in Chungnam and Daejeon, one arts high school and one college were selected from each district, and 75 dance majors from 4 schools respectively, total 300 students were examined for the study. Among these 300 students, the number of students` questionnaires used in the final analysis is 274, excluding the questionnaires containing inadequate answers. The adequacy of the questionnaire was verified by factor analysis, and the reliability of the questionnaire by reliability analysis. In the matter of reliability, Cronbach`s
turned up to be over .602. In this study, factor analysis, reliability analysis, regression analysis, and course analysis were done by using SPSS16.0. With the above research method and results, I could come to a conclusion as following. Above all, perfectionism affects the subordinate variable of self-efficacy, the self-control efficacy. That is, with the higher self-oriented perfectionism and the other-oriented perfectionism, self-efficacy increases more as well. Secondly, perfectionism affects performance satisfaction. In other words, the higher self-oriented perfectionism, the higher performance satisfaction. Thirdly, self-efficacy affects performance satisfaction. That is, higher self-control efficacy makes the performance satisfaction higher. Lastly, perfectionism affects self-efficacy and performance satisfaction either directly or indirectly. Now it is obvious that self-efficacy is the variable that intermediate performance satisfaction.

This interest in radiation exposure makes increasing doctor`s awareness and knowledge of radiation dose in patients during X-ray test important in reducing patient`s uneasiness. However, very few facilities are equipped with measurement instruments. Therefore, an intensive study to find out patient dose using computational method has been initiated. This study used special features of the bit system and NDD-M and directly measured the output dose of diagnostic X-ray instruments used in Korea to create tables. Two different methods were found to be adequate when applied to cases when X-ray outputs were both known and unknown, and comparative experiments with real measurement doses were carried out. Presented methods were found to provide more accurate results compared to the bit system and NDD-M. Therefore, patient dose during clinical trials were found to be more easily acceptable to medical personnel in the radiation field in terms of radiation exposure and reduction of medical X ray dose.

As software producers have tried to keep their profit against illegal piracy, contents producers also want to protect their contents from unlawful sharing among users. Some researchers uncovered that the regulation on the unlicensed contents is not the best policy to maximize their profit mainly due to network effect but this issue has been still controversial. In this paper, we develop a model to investigate the effect of regulation against unlicensed contents sharing on the profit of contents producers and present the optimal condition to maximize profit of contents producers under the regulation and non-regulation of unlicensed contents. As a result, we analyzed that the firm`s payoff under the regulation on unlicensed contents is not always greater than the payoff under the non-regulation because of network externality. If the additional utility from off-line purchase of type P consumers (who enjoy the additional benefit of off-line purchase) is large enough, then the firm`s payoff is maximized without regulation.

Due to the increase of the attention on relation extraction systems, the construction of test collections for assessing their performance has emerged as an important task. In this paper, we propose semi-automatic framework capable of constructing test collections for relation extraction on a large scale. Based on this framework, we develop a test collection which can assess the performance of various approaches to extracting relations between technical terminologies in scientific literatures. This framework can minimize the cost of constructing this kind of collections and reduce the intrinsic fluctuations which may come from the diversity in characteristics of collection developers. Furthermore, we can construct balanced and objective collections by means of controlling the selection process of seed documents and terminologies using the proposed framework.
