Today, As the internet and electronic publishing technology was powerful and there are many benefits to using various academic information which has an electronic document of high quality. Many researchers had much required to see a full-text of electronic document. There was an requirement of digital achieving activities between countries for each other electronic document in order to safely preserve and services. In this paper, we have implemented an electronic document local-hosting system to provide free service to KESLI member institutions and provide pay-per-view service to individual users and small/medium size companies who are not member of KESLI and builded national long-term preservation system of electronic information resources.
Instruction-level Power Model for Asynchronous Processor, A8051

DOI : 10.5392/JKCA.2012.12.07.011
This paper presents new instruction-level power model for an asynchronous processor, A8051. Even though the proposed model estimates power consumption as instruction level, this model reflects the behavioral features of asynchronous pipeline during the program is executed. Thus, it can effectively enhance the accuracy of power model for an asynchronous embedded processor without significant complexity of power model as well as the increase of simulation time. The proposed power model is based on the implementation of A8051 to reflect the characteristics of power consumption in A8051. The simulation results of the proposed model is compared with that of gate-level synthesized A8051. The proposed power model shows the accuracy of 94% and the simulation time for estimation the power consumption was reduced to 1,600 times.

DOI : 10.5392/JKCA.2012.12.07.021
The data centric storage (DCS) scheme is one of representative methods to efficiently store and maintain data generated in wireless sensor networks. In the DCS schemes, each node has the specified data range for storing data. This feature is highly vulnerable to the faults of nodes. In this paper, we propose a new recovery scheme for the lost data caused by the faults of nodes in DCS environments. The proposed scheme improves the accuracy of query results by recovering the lost data using the spatial continuity of physical data. To show the superiority of our proposed scheme, we simulate it in the DCS environments with the faults of nodes. In the result, our proposed scheme improves the accuracy by about 28% through about 2.5% additional energy consumption over the existing scheme.
Polyphonic Adaptation of Double Spy Motif in Visual Contents -Focusing on the Novel and Movie ＜Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy＞
Lee, Young-Soo ;
The Journal of the Korea Contents Association, volume 12, issue 7, 2012, Pages 29~39
DOI : 10.5392/JKCA.2012.12.07.029
This paper focused on the difference between an adaptation of novel and movie
and the common process of making spy novel into an action-packed movie. The polyphony what Mikhail Bakhtin said turned out to be the way of description for double spy, a major motif of narrative in this novel and movie. There is a new possibility of adaptation that has a dialogical narrative, character description by multiple narrators and repetition of the same place. It was suggested the possibility of polyphonic adaptation by the consideration for a narrative aspect in the process of making the novel
into the movie. This study will be expected to be help for studies of an adaptation between the novel and movie.

DOI : 10.5392/JKCA.2012.12.07.040
In the past, the elements that determine the movie performance were directors, movie stars, the number of opening screens, on-line ratings or distributing agencies. However, the word-of-mouth effect has changed this trends. So the influence of word of mouth grows more and more strong at this stage of the Internet and smart phones being widely prevalent. I fix my sight upon SNS which is one of the medium of arousing the word-of-mouth effect, and I have a purpose to cast light upon a real example of the influence of SNS on the movie performance. The way is to analyze SNS activities that accompany the process of production and showing of
, which is said to have had an beneficial effect of SNS among the enormously successful movies last year. It is relevant to provide a new milestone regarding the movie performance through the successful case of SNS activities by examining the word-of-mouth activities through SNS in the manner of the period division of the pre-release, the early stage of release and the maturity.

This thesis is on the identification pattern for immersion of visual storytelling and studied identification which is psychological action in the visual aspect. Shots which the audience were identified with character's eyes in animation were classified and connection structures of shot and shot were coded through semiological analysis. In shot's coded combination regularly organized, identification patterns which have characteristic meanings were discovered. These patterns which have characteristic meanings can be used by choice following the narrative situation. Therefore identification visual patterns which can be used in real production environment are to be suggested.

DOI : 10.5392/JKCA.2012.12.07.065
Throughout the agraian society, industrial society, information society, and the knowledge-based society, the word father has become the representation of the law, oder, control, protection, and discipline. This study, with traditional fairy tale "Le petit chaperon rouge", aim to analyze the child readers a notion familly around 'me' and conceiving the father as the unit of the institution; also, in the Korean film
, cinema audiences feeling keenly the necessity of the conventional family values and looking for the poster of principal agent of law and order. Generally the father is protector of 'me' and simutaneously, is incorporal being; even if he is inessential, he has, only by the name, great influence with people(law, order, control, discipline, are operating only with the name as the father God does). Our study will show how the signifier father operates and what similarity is between the film and the traditional fairy tale. A father is recognized as a tyrant or criminal, but a man is always realized to undertake a duty of resisting unjust powers and protecting nonperson. Those opposing structures was well represented in epic works such as"Le petit chaperon rouge" and
. The father described in children's tale appeared as a symbol of desire and oppression, therefore youngster readers realized around 'Me' the concept of family through the absence of a father and received the father as a unit in the system. A father in a film has been described as a protector of nonperson, and a main part in the institution and order of traditional family. In both genre, the psychological signifiant of father still has been shown based on the symbol of father as a social institution.

Considerations on Wolfgang Weingart's Typography based on Syntactic Characteristics
Huh, Jin ;
The Journal of the Korea Contents Association, volume 12, issue 7, 2012, Pages 86~93
DOI : 10.5392/JKCA.2012.12.07.086
The foundation of the development in modern typography is based on the era of International Typographical Style and Modern Typography that valued morphological functionality and rationality to achieve an accurate conveyance of meaning. However, with the advance of postmodernism, the view that the aesthetic and conceptual aspect must be included in its interpretation rather than its rational functionality was prominent. Indeed, the works of Dan Friedman and April Greiman, two graphic designers that are known to be the most representative of the post-modernistic era, displayed that graphic design works can also serve as a method for a more free artistic expression, unlike works of Modern Typography. This move towards aesthetic graphics was first started by Wolfgang Weingart. His various attempts at expanding the concept of typography had a significant impact on the development of New Wave and his experimentalist attitude brought about a ground-breaking change to the functional design and formative expression of modern typography. However, this thesis will consider the theoretical background of the typographical designs displayed in Wiengart's works and the experimental methods thereof, and will not attempt to evaluate Weingart's pioneering role and achievements. Furthermore, this thesis will shed new light on the argument that the Weingart's works are not based on the authorship view of post-modernistic typography and are rather utilized to expand the concept of typography based on a syntactical approach.
Examination on Rational Interpretation Criteria and Signification of Visual Symbols
Huh, Jin ;
The Journal of the Korea Contents Association, volume 12, issue 7, 2012, Pages 94~101
DOI : 10.5392/JKCA.2012.12.07.094
Design reflects the time and cultural trends and thus can have different symbolic significance and functions depending on the perspective. While this is evident, corporations still insist that designers achieve viewers' complete understanding and satisfaction in their designs. Also, they refuse to accept the designers' interpretation on the grounds that they are subjective and incomplete interpretations even when in fact they are of superior intellectual standard. This problem is also found among the designers dealing with the clients. Thus, as long as all they are willing to accept is the fallibility of each other, the clash between designers and users is inevitable. To solve these problems, we need to have more objective and logical framework for achieving collective understanding on the interpretation of designs and symbols from the very stage of their development. The graphic design is a tangible product that represents the cultural phenomenon and needs to be interpreted as visual symbols. This makes the graphic design a semiological subject. Thus, a semiological approach will enable more analytical interpretations of polysemy of visual symbols. In this light, this study seeks to apply a semiological approach to suggest criteria for interpreting graphic designs as symbols. The criteria will serve as a useful tool for rational evaluation as well as strategic design development.

The Journal of the Korea Contents Association, volume 12, issue 7, 2012, Pages 156~168
DOI : 10.5392/JKCA.2012.12.07.156
As the increase of violent crimes such as robbery, murder, and rape has become a social problem, the government is considering institutionalizing the identification of criminals to prevent crime and to guarantee people's right to know. Such an atmosphere led to the approval of the revision of 'Special Law On the Punishment of Specific violent Crimes' in the National Assembly in April 2010. The revision allows the revelation of the profiles of crime suspects including the pictures of their faces at the investigation stage. However, whether the revision had been effective in preventing crime has not been demonstrated empirically. Moreover, identity revelation is a grave intrusion into privacy and an abuse of human rights such as personal rights and the right to a fair trial, since personal information of criminal suspects would be released to the media prior to the court's final judgements. Also it violates the principle of presumption of innocence, the principles of due process, the principle of double jeopardy, the principle of prohibition against excessive, the principles of clarity, and the principle of liability.

It is the fact that crime has always co-existed with human history;that preventive measures have always been taken while it has been transformed and developed in some forms. We, in the meantime;should not be negligent in the matter that our preventive measures are rather short sighted, and non strategic in many ways. Now then, would we be able to question, if our modern crime preventive measures have been modernized and become more strategic? Certain point has been raised to myself;especially regarding (community oriented policing cop); this has been one of the strategic crime preventive measures co-performed by the central police;Jeju-special independent province maybe an appropriate example; which has become special self rule province in July, 2007; establishing not only independant police but also have established police station addition to already existing police stations. To proof my opinion; I have tried to compare and contrast the statistics of the crime rates and types of the Jeju area before and after the establishment of the self police and police station; also to see how patterns changed.(if there has been any.) I have also tried to analyse if there is any special type of crime statistics in Jeju province, by analysing current crimes in accordance to populations. Altough it has not much reached my initial expectations, I hope it still is meaningful to have been able to show some ways to prevent crimes in Jeju-strategically.

DOI : 10.5392/JKCA.2012.12.07.261
This study was conducted so as to examine which change tDCS (Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation) for improving working memory can make on the EEC of stroke patients. Among the patients who suffered for more than 6 months by hemiparalysis caused by stroke, 20 patients selected by MMSE and DST were randomly divided into I group (10 patients) fulfilled by only CCT and II group (10 patients) fulfilled by both tDCS and CCT for total 4 weeks, 30 minutes per a day, three times per a week. For examining EEC variation, the absolute spectrum power was calculated by three bands (
; 4~8 Hz, lower
; 8~10.5 Hz, upper
;10.5~13 Hz) during the task of words, photos and mental calculation with EEC test, before the arbitration, after 2 weeks and after 4 weeks, so the rate of increase and decrease (%) for the reference EEC was obtained. As the results, the first, particular aspects different one another in three bands were detected according to the measuring period and task. The second, in the forth week, there was only a significant difference in lower
-power of all tasks. Therefore, through the procedure measuring EEC of this study, the degree of working memory's damage can be expressed by numerical value and tDCS should be additionally helpful for brain damaged patients' perception rehabilitation.

Drug-eluting stents (DES) have significantly reduced in-stent restenosis, compared to bare-metal stents (BMS). However, there remains concern for the increased risk of stent thrombosis (ST) associated with DES. The present study sought to evaluate the incidence, clinical characteristics and outcome of ST in patients with acute myocardial infarction (MI) during a 1-year follow-up. 80 patients who developed ST were divided into 2 groups according to stent type: group I (DES-ST, n = 57 ) and group II (BMS-ST, n = 23 ). There were no differences between group I and II in the overall incidence of ST (2.7% vs. 4.3%, p=0.064) and in the incidence of each type of ST: acute ST (8.8% vs. 2.3%), subacute ST (50.9% vs. 60.9%), late ST (19.3% vs. 8.7%), and very late ST (21.1% vs. 17.4%) (p=0.605). Predictors of 1-year mortality were the occurrence of ST (OR 8.12, 95% CI 2.83-23.61, p<0.001), left ventricular ejection fraction<40% (OR 6.41, 95% CI 2.42-16.96, p<0.001), and age
75 years (OR 4.98, 95% CI 1.95-12.74, p=0.001).

DOI : 10.5392/JKCA.2012.12.07.284
In the study, we estimate efficiencies using CCR model of DEA, Super efficiency(AP) model, and super-SBM model with the data of 32 regional public hospitals in Korea from 205 to 2009. With Wilcoxon-Mann-Whitney statistics, we analyze efficiency differences for environmental factors(regions, type of hospital, type of operations, type of education training, relative importance of madicaids) among regional public hospitals. The results can be summarized as follows. Firstly, technical inefficiencies of regional public hospitals range from 15% to 17% in CCR model, 13% to 15% in AP model, 7% to 12.6% in SuperSBM model. Second, we confirm that environmental factors of hospitals cause different inefficiencies among them. The implication of this study is that policy and institutional change may need to improve the efficiencies along with internal managerial reform.

The Journal of the Korea Contents Association, volume 12, issue 7, 2012, Pages 295~305
DOI : 10.5392/JKCA.2012.12.07.295
This study analyzes actual conditions of private health insurance empirically by using the decision to join Korea Health Panel data. First, the study investigates how sociodemographic factors influence joining the private health insurance. Next, the relationship between the private health insurance membership and the frequency of medical service utilization is analyzed. The main results of these analyses can be summarized as follows: the socially vulnerable are less likely to join private health insurance relative to the middle and upper classes. The frequency of medical service utilization of private insurance members is relatively higher. This fact contains the possibility that the middle and upper classes are able to receive more medical services through private health insurance membership, while the socially vulnerable have difficulty with obtaining medical services in spite of much need. Therefore, policies are needed which manage the private health insurance more effectively and secure the publicity of health service socially.

The Journal of the Korea Contents Association, volume 12, issue 7, 2012, Pages 368~377
DOI : 10.5392/JKCA.2012.12.07.368
The comprehensive countermeasures against school violence recently announced by the government include some content on physical education classes. Physical education has long been ignored in school paradoxically in spite of the deteriorating physical strength and health of adolescents. The physical education subject undervalued in the middle of overly excessive competitions for college entrance exams finds its core goal in whole person education and officially emphasizes the development of personality aspects, which means that physical education claims important significance by providing diverse approaches to school violence prevention. This study thus set out to enhance the roles of physical education for school violence prevention. In Korean society, school violence has taken deep root due to the combined results of individual, family, school and community factors, the growth-first policy driven by compressed modern growth, and neoliberalism based on economic efficiency. School violence possesses such fixed value systems and convictions in Korean society. Education has failed to achieve some effectiveness because of the serious level of school violence, which calls for assessment of ideology having big impacts on educational environments. Given that it has been rediscovered that physical education has legitimacy of alleviating or preventing school violence through its value, an alternative to eradicate school violence should start with physical education normalization in school. Specific alternatives including the activation of sports clubs in school will be established as more fundamental practical alternatives when accompanied by the development of school violence-related programs and the operation of in-service training programs for physical education teachers.
