Generally, integral image used for autostereoscopic 3d display is generated for flat lens array, but flat lens array cannot provide a wide range of view for generated integral image because of narrow range of view. To make up for this flat lens array's weak point, curved lens array has been proposed, and due to technical and cost problem, approximate surface lens array composed of several flat lens array is used instead of ideal curved lens array. In this paper, we constructed an approximate surface lens array arranged for
square flat lens in 100mm radius sphere, and we could get about twice angle of view compared to flat lens array. Specially, unlike existing researches which manually generate integral image, we propose an OpenCL GPU parallel process algorithm for generating real-time integral image. As a result, we could get 12-20 frame/sec speed about various 3D volume data from
approximate surface lens array.

In recent, hospital information systems are widely used to electronically record, manage and share the data collected in hospitals. Such systems have contributed greatly to improving the work efficiency in modern hospitals, however, the collected data concerning the patients should be appropriately processed and reused to provide the healthcare service providers with decision supports. Especially, this paper proposes the patient flow monitoring system for the operations management of the outpatient department for patients with chronic diseases, and discusses the related issues. The proposed system visualizes the standard process model extracted from the patient history data and various performance measures, and this enables the managers to evaluate and enhance the operations of the outpatient clinic. In this paper, the patient flow monitoring system is applied to the rheumatology clinic, and the prototype system optimized for I-pad is illustrated.

DOI : 10.5392/JKCA.2014.14.10.020
Recently, cache sharing methods have been studied in order to effectively reply to user requests in mobile P2P networks. In this paper, we propose a cache sharing scheme based on a cluster considering the peer connectivity in mobile P2P networks. The proposed scheme shares caches by making a cluster that consists of peers preserving the connectivity among them for a long time. The proposed scheme reduces data duplication to efficiently use the cache space in a cluster. The cache space is divided into two parts with a data cache and a temporary cache for a cache space. It is possible to reduce the delay time when the cluster topology is changed or the cache data is replaced utilizing a temporary cache. The proposed scheme checks the caches of peers in a route to a cluster header and the caches of one-hop peers in order to reduce the communication cost. It is shown through performance evaluation that the proposed scheme outperforms the existing schemes.

DOI : 10.5392/JKCA.2014.14.10.032
While there is a great demand for malware classification to reduce the time required in malware analysis and find a new type of malware, various similarity measurement methods of malware to classify a lot of malwares have been proposed. But, the existing methods to measure similarity just represented the classification results by them and have not carried out performance comparison with other methods. This is because an evaluation model to compare the performance of similarity measurement methods is non-existent. In this paper, we propose a new performance evaluation model on similarity measurement methods of malware by using two indicators: success rate and degree of confidence. In addition, we compare and evaluate the performance of existing similarity measurement methods by using these two indicators.

This study is the subsequent full-scale research of a TV drama writer who has been out of scholarly pursuits as it explores in-depth Su-Hyeon Kim's underlying consciousness with focusing on her male characters of the
. Su-Hyeon Kim shows difference which clearly distinguishes a melodrama from a home-drama by her own self control, a rare case in TV drama genres. This study, in her distinguished melodrama, analyses the writer's more clearly ignited consciousness. This study enlarges the result of the precedent study by applying the same Lacan's theory to the male characters with the study's female characters. Lacan's concepts of sexual difference notes that the sexual differences is not the product of the fixed differences from the biological organs or the inequal system, custom, but that of the psychological, cultural causes. According to Lacan's sexuation theory, the male subject is an all 'fractured' one of subordinating to symbolic/phallic order by becoming a exceptional being of breaking the order through a fantasy despite his existence of subordinating the order. The writer conceives men and women as the 'same', 'privative', 'fractured' subjects who search for the impossible phallic jouissance in their own different ways, which is the same method of Lacan's. Also the gap of 20 years of two works marks the writer's change of male perspective, in which shows being more accepting, more sex-neutral to a man who can only enjoy the phallic jouissance through a fantasy, while a woman who can enjoy both of the phallic and feminine supplementary jouissance.

DOI : 10.5392/JKCA.2014.14.10.051
This paper deals with how Korean television musical variety show rose and declined focusing the 'Show Show Show'. 'Show Show Show' was a Korean television musical variety show that ran on TBC-TV every Saturday night at 8pm. until TBC-TV was absorbed into KBS-TV in 1980. Its musical acts, of various kinds, were interspersed with comic turns and special items including dancing, mime, magic, and acrobat. Korean television musical variety show worked on what audiences had in common across generational divides till the late 1970s. 'Show Show Show's catchall format didn't cross the demographic lines like it used to. But the young generation demanded music program that spoke to their own condition in the early 1980s. 'Show Show Show' ended on KBS-TV in July 1983 through the influence of the absorption of TBC-TV into KBS-TV and the changes of cultural circumstances. The decline of the television musical variety show was attributable to the fragmentation of musical taste and the change of viewing behaviors.

As the importance of interface became emphasized recently, function of icon as an element that helps operation and formative function as an aesthetic element are becoming emphasized. Specially, various research methodologies for measuring the understanding degree of users are being attempted in functional aspect, however, they are facing limitations as user evaluation method of quantitative investigation for statistical analysis became overly dependent on the consent from majority. To overcome such limitation, a methodology of measuring sensibility as aesthetic impression or individuality based on the system of emotion or system of understanding of users and designing icon based on the measurement is being attempted continuously. Therefore, this study suggested an evaluation method using reminding words and conducted an empirical study to apply results on the icon design by applying the evaluation method on icon design of printing products to measure the user sensibility and understanding level. Through this process, this study intended to research summaries on the design evaluation method which based on the evaluation of user sensibility and understanding level and to debate effective design methodologies through the process of applying these summaries on the project. The intention was to progress discussion from practical application perspectives apart from the textbook type discussion by applying a research methodology through concrete cases. This study objectified sensibility and understanding level of users in the icon design aspect, suggested a methodology that can be applied on the design, and it is expected to be used when progressing the icon and GUI design.

The Journal of the Korea Contents Association, volume 14, issue 10, 2014, Pages 438~453
DOI : 10.5392/JKCA.2014.14.10.438
This paper proposes a system to translate an RDB into an OWL ontology which enables the users to navigate the ontology in GUI. In order to accomplish the goals mentioned previously, the system overcame two difficulties. First, our system defines a new mapping algorithm to map between DB elements and ontology ones. Comparing with existing solutions, our algorithm is able to generate ontologies from more DB structures. Second, our system provides the same data generated by a reasoner to the users. Note that this operation does not load ABox ontology on a reasoner. In addition, Tableau-based reasoners have the tractability problem on a large ABox (e.g., large ABoxes translated from DBs practically cannot be served). To solve this, our system internally runs SQL queries to retrieve the same data as the one from a reasoner every time ABox elements are queried.

With the development of location aware technologies and mobile devices, location-based services have been studied. To provide location-based services, many researchers proposed methods for processing various query types with Mapreduce(MR). One of the proposed methods, is a Reverse k-nearest neighbor(RkNN) query processing method with MR. However, the existing methods spend too much cost to process the continuous RkNN query. In this paper, we propose an efficient continuous RkNN query processing method with MR to resolve the problems of the existing methods. The proposed method uses the 60-degree-pruning method. The proposed method does not need to reprocess the query for continuous query processing because the proposed method draws and monitors the monitoring area including the candidate objects of a RkNN query. In order to show the superiority of the proposed method, we compare it with the query processing performance of the existing method.

DOI : 10.5392/JKCA.2014.14.10.463
In this paper, emotion classification was performed by using four ocular features extracted from near-infrared camera image. According to comparing with previous work, the proposed method used more ocular features and each feature was validated as significant one in terms of emotion classification. To minimize side effects on ocular features caused by using visual stimuli, auditory stimuli for causing two opposite emotion pairs such as "positive-negative" and "arousal-relaxation" were used. As four features for emotion classification, pupil size, pupil accommodation rate, blink frequency, and eye cloased duration were adopted which could be automatically extracted by using lab-made image processing software. At result, pupil accommodation rate and blink frequency were statistically significant features for classification arousal-relaxation. Also, eye closed duration was the most significant feature for classification positive-negative.

The demand prediction is a critical issue for the film industry. As the social media, such as Twitter and Facebook, gains momentum of late, considerable efforts are being dedicated to prediction and analysis of hit movies based on unstructured text data. For prediction of trends found in commercially successful films, the correlations between the amount of data and hit movies may be analyzed by estimating the data variation by period while opinion mining that assigns sentiment polarity score to data may be employed. However, it is not possible to understand why the audience chooses a certain movie or which attribute of a movie is preferred by using such a quantitative approach. This has limited the efforts to identify factors driving a movie's commercial success. In this regard, this study aims to investigate a movie's attributes that reflect the interests of the audience. This would be done by extracting topic keywords that represent the contents of Twits through frequency measurement based on the collected Twitter data while analyzing responses displayed by the audience. The objective is to propose factors driving a movie's commercial success.

Hospitals in Korea have been increasingly using physician assistants (PA) as an alternative way of dealing with the shortage of residents. However, some incidents of a Physician's Assistant practicing beyond their legal scope require closer examination of the current PA's roles and functions. This study is a web-based survey designed towards targeting physician assistants in Korea (KPA) who practice delegated tasks under a physician's license. Currently, there are 2,125 KPAs working in 141 general hospitals and medical centers. Data from 704 nurses from who responded to the questionnaire were analyzed with descriptive statistics using the SPSS 12.0 program. Their mean age is 32.5 years with 8-10 years of clinical experiences, with males being more likely to be a PA. Despite of KPAs providing medical services and performing invasive procedures, only 13% of KPAs are licensed APNs (advanced practice nurse). KPAs have a low job satisfaction due to a lack of rewards and the necessity for providing illegal practices, and are experiencing identity confusion. The current KPA system is a transitional product of the change from the hierarchial structure to a more collaborative relationship between the medical and nursing departments. Providing adequate education and training, establishing protocols with legal protection, and developing professional independent scope of care are recommended to deliver safe and efficient medical services.

DOI : 10.5392/JKCA.2014.14.10.706
Government and public institutions have been releasing a number of mobile applications in order to provide diverse public services in the mobile environment. However, due to their one-sided and fragmented service with the lack of adequate care for users, the utilization rate is extremely poor. Therefore, this study, based on a relevant literature review, identified and derived the five key factors (usefulness, convenience, interactivity, information credibility, and social pressure) for users' mobile service adoption. Then, through in-depth interviews with five users and five experts regarding the 'business support app' of one public agency (H institution) that specializes in SMEs, we found that all of these factors are important for users' mobile service adoption. Users' satisfaction could be significantly improved through real-time response to their needs. In addition, providing them with useful and tailored information can lead to mutual trust between public institutions and users. Consequently, as these user-oriented services can increase users' loyalty and boost the utilization rate of the public apps, public institutions should always put persistent efforts to cope with users' demands.

The Journal of the Korea Contents Association, volume 14, issue 10, 2014, Pages 829~839
DOI : 10.5392/JKCA.2014.14.10.829
This study aims at investigating Korean EFL students' writing strategies through their rhetorical patterns and meaning-making for a writing task in an English writing classroom at a Korean university. The participants were the students and teacher in the course, and the data comprised nine pieces of students' opinion writing and interviews with the teacher. To analyze the data, a 'Claim-Support' pattern was adopted. The findings show that most students, 89%, demonstrated the same or similar elements in the 'Claim-Support' pattern for their textual structures and many parts of the meaning-making in their writing were originated from the textbook. These findings reflect that the students pursued the strategy of 'accommodation' in order to succeed in their academic writing regardless of the teacher's intention which focused on creativity and imagination in writing. The conclusion suggest that the students tend to establish their own ways of strategy to cope with the recontextualized setting for writing in English.
