DOI : 10.5392/JKCA.2015.15.10.001
In this paper, a study on facial movements are analyzed in terms of opposite emotion stimuli by image processing of Kinect facial image. To induce two opposite emotion pairs such as "Sad - Excitement"and "Contentment - Angry" which are oppositely positioned onto Russell's 2D emotion model, both visual and auditory stimuli are given to subjects. Firstly, 31 main points are chosen among 121 facial feature points of active appearance model obtained from Kinect Face Tracking SDK. Then, pixel changes around 31 main points are analyzed. In here, local minimum shift matching method is used in order to solve a problem of non-linear facial movement. At results, right and left side facial movements were occurred in cases of "Sad" and "Excitement" emotions, respectively. Left side facial movement was comparatively more occurred in case of "Contentment" emotion. In contrast, both left and right side movements were occurred in case of "Angry" emotion.

The Journal of the Korea Contents Association, volume 15, issue 10, 2015, Pages 10~17
DOI : 10.5392/JKCA.2015.15.10.010
Transparent LED display is providing city residents with different attractions via information services and landscape and increasing demand is detected in various areas. It is true that majority of the current demand in transparent electrode material was found and used in ITO but limitations in capacity and economic efficiency led to the need for continuous research and technology development via new materials. As a new material, metal mesh has 85% of the materials to substitute ITO and is widely used due to low-cost and high-conductive rate. Maintenance of transparent LED display utilizing metal mesh compared to existing ITO transparent display is much easier as it not only saves resources but is also economical. Thus the objective of this paper lies in proposing the utilization of metal mesh in transparent LED display prototype to enable economical use of transparent LED display technology and to expand the market and to also propose transparent LED display development method via metal mesh and manufacture a prototype based on the method. And a characteristic comparison test between ITO and metal mesh provides the possibility of using metal mesh as a transparent electrode material in transparent LED display development.

DOI : 10.5392/JKCA.2015.15.10.037
The importance of cultural contents industry is steadily growing owing to the Korean wave etc. and Buddhist cultural contents is a part of the cultural contents. However, the development of Buddhist cultural contents in many ways has left much to be desired. That is because, it is difficult for the public, who is not Buddhist scholar, to understand and take interest in conventional contents on Buddhist books themselves which are digitalized. Also, most contents researches are discussed on the necessity of contents development and just stay in these subjects, but it is insufficient to study a semantic analysis and visualizing contents on Buddhist books. So, in this paper, we analyse mandala's twinning rite in the Buddhist books and implement visual contents on the rite. The mandala is using toohadeokbul in a special way as the abhisinca rite. We analyse concept of the toohadeokbul and implement its visual contents which visualize ideological logic of Buddhism. The implemented contents are able to provide the public with Buddhist cultural experience of the yard. Additional, by trying to visualize descriptive expressions of Buddhist books, this paper could be a precedent for developing visual contents of unlimited data comprised in Buddhist books.

This study is to re-read Yun, Baek-nam(1888-1954)'s editorial "Theatre and Society" from the perspective of postcolonial criticism. He was a man of the theatre who pursued practical interests in compliance with the colonial reality under the rule of the Japanese imperialism. His advocacy of theatre development work was based on the Japan-directional reformism and on Japan-friendly in following after Japan's improvement policy. His general discussion on Western theatre history had considerable errors as a result of focus on the social role and utility of the theatre. But his vindication of theatre-actor opened an era of interaction between theatre and intelligence in Korea. In addition, his enlightening view of a theatre became such as one of the cornerstones for the Shinkug Movement during Japanese colonial period in Korea.

Cheong, Jinseong ; Park, Jongha ;
The Journal of the Korea Contents Association, volume 15, issue 10, 2015, Pages 150~159
DOI : 10.5392/JKCA.2015.15.10.150
This study attempted to test the scale effect of MAUP, particularly focusing on the spatial autocorrelation of sex crime, correlations among neighborhood structural variables, and causal mechanism leading to sex crime. Analysis results of nation-wide Eup-Myon-Dong and Si-Gun-Gu data discovered that the spatial autocorrelation, correlations among independent variables, and determinant coefficient of multiple regression of Si-Gun-Gu level were generally bigger and stronger than those of Eup-Myon-Dong, which appeared to be due to the averaging effect. Regarding the causal effect to sex crime, two interesting results were found: First, the ratio of non-apartment residency lowered sex crime at both levels contrary to the hypothesis. Second, the ratio of food and lodging increased sex crime only at Eup-Myon-Dong level. These suggested that future research need to perform more detailed analyses dividing data into subsets such as urban vs. rural and/or economically advantaged vs. disadvantaged areas.

The Journal of the Korea Contents Association, volume 15, issue 10, 2015, Pages 267~279
DOI : 10.5392/JKCA.2015.15.10.267
Previous studies related to drinking problems among Korean employees has focused on not 'drinking on the job' but 'drinking off the job'. Thus, little is known about the relationships between 'drinking on the job' and work performance among employees in Korea. The purpose of this study is to examine the relationships between alcohol use including 'drinking on the job' and 'drinking off the job' and work performance among 577 employees working at the health or welfare related agencies in N-gu of Seoul. Analyses were conducted using univariate analyses and multiple regression to examine which alcohol use factors were associated with work performance among employees. As for alcohol use, 49.3% of participants reported 'drinking on the job' in the past 30 days and 48.2% of participants reported 'drinking in a company dinner' in the past 30 days. Univariate analyses on the relationships between alcohol use including 'drinking on the job' and 'drinking off the job' and 'work performance' showed' drinking on the job' was associated with all work performance items except 'being absent' and 'being hurted' were not associated with work performance. Meanwhile, 'drinking off the job' was related to only 'did not do the job well'. Multiple regression analyses demonstrated that gender, subjective health status, service period, and 'drinking on the job'. These findings suggested that there is a need to more concerns about 'drinking on the job', especially 'drinking in a company dinner' among employees in Korea.

Mosts user of internet and smart phone has certificate, and uses it when money transfer, stock trading, on-line shopping, etc. Mosts user stores certificate in a hard disk drive of PC, or the external storage medium. In particular, the certification agencies are encouraged for user to store certificate in external storage media such as USB memory rather than a hard disk drive. User think that the external storage medium is safe, but when it is connect to a PC, certificate may be copied easily, and can be exposed to hackers through malware or pharming site. Moreover, if a hacker knows the user's password, he can use user's certificate without restrictions. In this paper, we suggest secure management scheme of the private key file using a password of the encrypted private key file, and a USB Memory's hardware information. The private key file is protected safely even if the encrypted private key file is copied or exposed by a hacker. Also, if the password of the private key file is exposed, USB Memory's container ID, additional authentication factor keeps the private key file safe. Therefore, suggested scheme can improve the security of the external storage media for certificate.

In information society, the need to detect document duplication and plagiarism is increasing. Many studies have progressed to meet such need, but there are limitations in increasing document duplication detection quality due to technological problem of natural language processing. Recently, some studies tried to increase the quality by applying syntatic-semantic analysis technique. But, the studies have the problem comparing syntactic-semantic trees. This paper develops a syntactic-semantic tree comparator, designs and implements a discriminator of similar documents using the comparator. To evaluate the system, we analyze the correlation between human discrimination and system discrimination with the comparator. This analysis shows that the proposed discrimination has good performance. We need to define the document type and improve the processing technique appropriate for each type.

The purpose of present study tested the effects of context, transparency, familiarity and related variables on comprehension of 32 idioms in 87 Chinese learners of Korean who were attending the S university in Jeonnam providence. In the first assessment, idiomatic phrases were presented out of context. In another assessment, idiomatic phrases were embedded in supportive story contexts. To examine the difference based on task types, paired t-test or one-way ANOVA was used to test differences on related variables such as TOPIK, years of residence in Korea, major and etc. on idiom comprehension. The results of this study are summarized as follows. First, task type, familiarity and transparency were found to have no significant effect on idiom comprehension for Chinese learners of Korean. Second, the related variables such as TOPIK, and major had a significant effect on idiom comprehension. Third, percentage of context related interpretation error in context task was the highest. Literal interpretation errors were followed by it. It means they have a tendency to use contextual cues and semantic analysis of the phrase to comprehend Korean idioms. The results of study will be used to make a plan for teaching Chinese learners of Korean.

This study aims at investigating students' perceptions and peer feedback to practicum for teaching English in the English Department at a Korean university. The participants were forty-two students at an elective course, 'Method for teaching English', and the data comprised questionnaire, 12 teams of practicum, and 15 sets of PF. A 'Word Count System (WCS)' was adopted to analyze the data. The findings show that students regarded 'practicum' (52.4%) as more important than 'teacher's lectures' (42.8%), and most students (80%) applied more than 70% of lesson plans to their practicums. The practicum gave them experience of a teacher, development of confidence, recognition on their weaknesses and values of teaching. While the strengths shown in PF were mainly 'teaching methods and technique', 'use of multimedia', and 'teaching materials', the weaknesses were 'classroom interactions', 'teaching methods and techniques' and 'use of blackboard'. Overall praises were 1.8 times more than the matters which needed to be developed. The conclusion suggest that the students had their own insights toward teaching practices and how learners can be motivated.
