This research aims to examine how military executive members and local residents mutually perceive the military family support. The 217 individuals from the military executive and the 191 local residents took part in this research. The results of this study are as follows: First of all, in the sense of the agreement, the respondents from the military executive had higher perception when it comes to the necessity of the community support, whilst the answer from their counterparts did not. Second of all, in terms of the congruence(1) on this issue, the perception levels that the each group of respondents showed are not corresponded, besides each group had different level of demands on the community resources according to the analysis of the congruence(2). Third, regarding the accuracy(1), the military executive members called for higher coverage of community supports whilst the local residents perceived that the executive members might be having less demands. The accuracy(2) too shows the different perception on the resources that the each group has. Last of all, for the meta-agreement, which indicates how each group found its counterpart's perception, were only corresponded at the lower level.

The Journal of the Korea Contents Association, volume 16, issue 2, 2016, Pages 45~56
DOI : 10.5392/JKCA.2016.16.02.045
This study explains about a phenomenon where the structure of the compensation plan for a single salesperson may vary as he/she gains experience. Unlike past studies that implicitly assume the limited effect on salesperson's experience, our result predicts that a salesperson will make an effort at every period early in his/her career without any commissions in order to gain experience. However, if one cannot expect any marginal returns of accumulated efforts, the sales manager must provide commissions on the high volume of sales at each period, to facilitate a high effort of a salesforce at earlier periods. Our paper provides important implications about dynamics in the compensation plan, which has not been addressed in the past studies but has frequently been witnessed in practice.

stand out among these police procedurals was its focus on the importance of history to understand both the past and contemporary society and culture. Many of the cases involve aspects of history that are not part of mainstream narratives and constitute the unfinished business of America. The flashback sequences throughout the show visually and affectively transport the viewer back to an earlier historical moment. What all the victims have in common is that they refused to be silent or passive in the face of circumstances they believed were wrong, or they refused to conform to dehumanising and destructive social and cultural expectation. Those promoting these lies have the power to establish their version as the power to establish their version as the "truth" of what happened in context, but viewers are positioned to see the truth as the victims experienced it and to identify with them and against the power abusers. The Cold Case detectives pursue the ghosts of American history, restoring to our view stories of lives and experiences rendered invisible and unspeakable by dominant forms of knowledge and power. The series invites viewrs to empathize with the victim and to develop an ethical commitment to social justice in the future.

The growing socio-economic effect caused by science and technology requires public to participate in policy-making process, which makes government to boost public understanding of science(PUS). Government has also exerted to construct infra for PUS. However results are not so meaningful. The government-funded science museum has mainly provided the program for students. Besides, science broadcasting channel has recorded the worst viewing rate. Meanwhile, some of the private sector-manufactured contents have attracted public attention in recent years, which is realized by considering elements such as an interesting topic selection, use of outside experts, two-way communication system, level adjusting for public through flexible running system. This study analyze podcast based program, face to face lectures, display contents by private industry, fab lab etc. on the base of the reciprocal PUS model to sort out the reason they have successful results. Futhermore, it argues that government should intensify support for private sector and create synergy effect by cultivate collaboration system between government and private sector to enhance the efficiency of PUS and offers public policy to realize the plan.

Recently, massive amounts of stream data have been studied for distributed processing. In this paper, we propose an incremental stream data processing method based on in-memory in big data environments. The proposed method stores input data in a temporary queue and compare them with data in a master node. If the data is in the master node, the proposed method reuses the previous processing results located in the node chosen by the master node. If there are no previous results of data in the node, the proposed method processes the data and stores the result in a separate node. We also propose a job scheduling technique considering the load and performance of a node. In order to show the superiority of the proposed method, we compare it with the existing method in terms of query processing time. Our experimental results show that our method outperforms the existing method in terms of query processing time.

It is very common to produce fairytales, folktales, or fables into animations. If they often transform existing works into animations, we may have to examine how they change the original to communicate with the audience and also how they change the original's subject matter or theme to create meaning. The purpose of this study is to consider how the original's meaning and value were changed as Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale, "The Snow Queen", was converted into an animation,
, and also how it influenced the work itself. To attain the goal, this author is going to comparatively analyze the two works' narratives, actants, and semiotic squares by using A.J. Greimas' semiology. According to the findings, although "The Snow Queen" expresses the desire to go back to happy days in the past, it is not a simple return to the past but a stepwise process to become mature mentally as well as religiously. Meanwhile,
intends to generate past-oriented meaning expressing the desire to return what is abnormal in the present to what was normal in the past and resolve the individual and religious aspects of "The Snow Queen" in a social and popular way.

The Journal of the Korea Contents Association, volume 16, issue 2, 2016, Pages 231~242
DOI : 10.5392/JKCA.2016.16.02.231
This study analyses labor transition of middle-aged and elderly in Korea utilizing Korean Longitudinal Study of Ageing(KLoSA). Then it estimates the effects of perceived job stability for the middle-aged and elderly on poverty exit based on the age group simulation. The outcomes suggest that mid-50s and over are highly vulnerable to early retirement and they suffer from unstable employment and low possibility of re-employment. The logit analysis that simulates the effects of perceived job stability on poverty exit shows that mid-50s are more likely to get off the poverty than 65 and over when they have stable jobs. These implies that labor market policies should be designed in a tailor-made manner in consideration of the age group and its characteristics. This study also suggests the introduction of progressive labor policy measures that extends retirement age, that provides with job opportunities to middle-age and elderly, and that links employment and welfare under the umbrella of income security plan for the middle-aged and elderly.

This study sought to clarify the relation of children's suicidal ideation and parental depression/life satisfaction, and the mediating effect of the self-esteem in child. With regard to suicidal ideation in children, most studies have used children's depression as predictor, not parental depression. Similarly, parental life satisfaction have not been included in spite of its general influence on child development. Relations among these variables were examined in 512 children and their parents in
Korean welfare panel data using the structural equation model. Results showed that the maternal life satisfaction was the only significant factor affecting the suicidal ideation of children, no having the mediating effects of the self-esteem in child. The implication of these results and suggestions for intervention and prevention work, and future research are discussed.

In this paper, we analyzed the link between school's educational information technology level and ict literacy level of students in elementary school. Specially we concerned about the link between principal's awareness of ict and ict literacy level of students. This ICT literacy levels were measured by sampling 1%(12,759 students) of the entire school year for elementary school 4-6. The educational information technology level of sample student's school was extracted from the Ministry of Education data. Then the two materials was analyzed in conjunction with each other. As a result, Higher recognize of principal, higher ict literacy level of students. That is sure in human realm. But that is difficult to conclude in ict infra and ict using realms. According to this result, it is more important to develop ability and awareness of teacher for ict than to support building of ict infra and using of ict. Therefore, we need to make a plan to develop ability and awareness of teacher for ict with building of ict infra.

The Development of Kitchenware Design through Cognitive Analysis
Kim, Kiesu ;
The Journal of the Korea Contents Association, volume 16, issue 2, 2016, Pages 287~294
DOI : 10.5392/JKCA.2016.16.02.287
The whole design process drawing outputs from design planning is based on designers' intuitive ideas and differences in technical ability. However, every design professional agrees to the fact that such design process is filled with individuals' implicit acts or inherent intuition rather than following directions in a certain defined frame. If the design process based on such intuition and experience can start from the rational and scientific process, it would be possible to move more systematic design process to the next step. This study aims to examine what system of thinking are used by designers to conduct the design information process, by using the protocol analysis which is the representative qualitative study method of cognitive science, on designers' cognitive behaviors like the contents of the design sketch process which is the initial step of the kitchenware development process, in order to understand professionals' and non-professionals' design application direction. Thus, the scope of this paper would be limited to "the initial protocol analysis on kitchenware" and "encoding of the analysis on thinking" in the qualitative study that can be the most basic to understand the design cognitive science. As a procedure to solve this study question, it aimed to seek for the product development flow and the educational effect by considering the preceding researches and also re-interpreting cognitive thinking in systematic methods.

The Journal of the Korea Contents Association, volume 16, issue 2, 2016, Pages 295~309
DOI : 10.5392/JKCA.2016.16.02.295
We focus on two kinds of game currency in online games, Game Money and Cash Money, and investigate how money expenditure behavior is explained by experience, achievement, and region as well as how the interplay among key variables differs between Game Money and Cash Money. The empirical analysis provides the following findings. First, experience increases Game Money expenditure whereas it lowers Cash Money expenditure, which suggests that gamers substitute gaming efforts for cash. Second, achievement is positively correlated with both kinds of game currencies. Finally, the relationship of money expenditure with experience and achievement is moderated by region. Specifically the negative effect of experience on Cash Money expenditure is more pronounced in suburban areas than in urban areas. The positive effect of achievement on Cash Money expenditure is also more pronounced in suburban areas than in urban areas. The authors conclude the paper with theoretical contributions and practical implications.

This paper proposes an effective FRUC (Frame Rate Up-Conversion) technique, which is based on ROI (Region Of Interest) separations and adaptive motion vector refinement. In this paper, in order to overcome the weakness of the EBME (Extended Bi-lateral Motion Estimation) algorithm, which is widely known in FRUC techniques, first, the proposed algorithm performs a bi-directional motion estimation for the complementary asymmetric region. Then, the proposed algorithm classifies each block into ROI or non-ROI block and refine motion vectors in accordance with their block characteristics to have a higher accuracy than the conventional EBME algorithm, specially, for the occlusion regions. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can improves 0.59dB on average PSNR as compared to the conventional method.

DOI : 10.5392/JKCA.2016.16.02.320
This study was conducted to find a practical implication regarding efficient and smooth service utilization including care burden reduction of family caregivers by empirically analyzing the factors influencing the dementia patient home care intention of family caregivers, based on Anderson's behavior model. For this study, the subjects and characteristics suitable for the study purpose were selected using the source data of "A Survey on the Dementia Recognition and Needs" targeting 26 cities and countries in Gyeonggi-do and then secondary analysis was conducted. This study targeted 539 dementia families, and based on Anderson's behavior model, variables related to predisposing factors, enabling factors and need factors were inserted, and hierarchical regression analysis was applied. The analysis result showed that at a significance level of 5%, the home care intention was high when family caregivers were not living in cities, they were spouses or children and their economic level was high as predisposing factors, and the dementia-related attitude was positive as a enabling factor, and the degree of dementia was mild and care burden was low as need factors. Moreover, need factors were relatively important variables among the three factors mentioned above. These findings demonstrate that for improving the home care intention, there is a need to construct a support strategy, which considers the degree of dementia and economic characteristics and develop diverse counseling and education programs for a positive attitude towards dementia and a differentiated strategy depending on regional and family characteristics.

Provenance means the meta data that represents the history or lineage of a data in collaboration storage environments. Therefore, as provenance has been accruing over time, it takes several ten times as large as the original data. The schemes for effciently compressing huge amounts of provenance are required. In this paper, we propose a provenance compression scheme considering the RDF graph patterns. The proposed scheme represents provenance based on a standard PROV model and encodes provenance in numeric data through the text encoding. We compress provenance and RDF data using the graph patterns. Unlike conventional provenance compression techniques, we compress provenance by considering RDF documents on the semantic web. In order to show the superiority of the proposed scheme, we compare it with the existing scheme in terms of compression ratio and the processing time.

Recently, the method of social interaction is transforming into a method that utilizes videos. We are suggesting a new social video platform that contains a video of 'I' and 'the other'. We studied how the appearance of 'the other' and 'I' affected the user. So we applied the Social Impact Theory and Self-Monitoring Theory. The platforms were then used to investigate how the user's positive attitude and sense of community were affected by having the user view his/her and 'the other's appearance watching the same video. As the result, users felt more positive attitude when their own appearance was shown on the screen. However, the positive attitude decreased when there were more femininity in the surrounding videos along with their own appearance. Also, when there were more masculinity in the surrounding video, the users felt a stronger sense of community. We believe this research will provide implications for developing the structure and organization of a new social video platform.

DOI : 10.5392/JKCA.2016.16.02.618
In Korea's drama industry, a production factor has several prices, not one, bucking the general economic theory. The price changes depending upon the broadcaster, the producer, and even the genre. The price gets determined by such factors as the scarcity, the substitutability, the overall budget size, and so on. For star actors, the price stands for their popularity and ego, which makes them strive so desperately for a higher pay than competitors. The rise of the production factor price has outpaced that of the production budget, to cause undesirable structural problems. It is deemed that the running guarantee could be a way to rationalize the pricing system for production factors in Korea.

In doing so, the topics of nationality, historical recognition, and social aspects in Korea were established and discourse on these topics in educational journals and the contents of textbooks and teaching manuals projected with such discourse were investigated. As for nationality, a strong propensity to negative recognition was clearly observed, represented by the words lazy, enervate, and uncivilized. They defined Korea's history of passive, other-directed nature and described such incompetent national management resulted in negative nationality. Their recognition of Korean history went further away, stating Korea was incapable of maintaining its independence and was a threat to peace of Japan and Asia, hence the forced merger by Japan. The criteria for Japan to assess Korean society were Western civilization and they defined Korean society as a pre-modern society with lower levels of civilization and culture. Discourse in Japan over Korea in early modern era were strongly influenced by Japan's pride as a modern state and its dominating ideology of imperialism and such discussions were spread among students through textbooks and teaching manuals.

DOI : 10.5392/JKCA.2016.16.02.643
This study considers the value of English-language films as material for learning a foreign tongue using posh discourse. In daily life, when we decline an invitation or convey unpleasant information to a listener, we use polite expressions; we are careful with our words. English language learners need to learn polite expressions in order to interact peacefully with others; doing so can minimize conflict, which is inherent in social relationships. This study uses the British drama Downton Abbey, which is about aristocracy. This study analyzes the posh discourse used in Downton Abbey and insists that students need to learn it explicitly. It is important to learn the polite expressions of this authentic drama in a real classroom. This study suggests that students work in groups to create a short video, and to try to understand the characters' personalities. Movies, TV dramas, and sitcoms provide great content that shows the various functions of the language that students want to learn. As a source of learning material, film can help improve students' motivation and interest in learning a foreign language.

The Journal of the Korea Contents Association, volume 16, issue 2, 2016, Pages 652~665
DOI : 10.5392/JKCA.2016.16.02.652
National Competency Standards or NCS is an educational system that emphasizes developing job-related abilities. Therefore it will be an effective solution in training field-oriented work forces if properly applied. However, in the department of social welfare, it is not easy to apply NCS to the curriculum since most academic subjects concerning social welfare focus not on practice but on theory and in addition, most of social welfare departments in junior colleges have an accredited curriculum for the 2nd degree of the social worker qualification. This means it is preposterous if NCS is applied to the curriculum without prior changes in the existing qualification system. So, this paper proposes a draft model to apply NCS to the already-accredited curriculum for the 2nd degree social workers in the junior colleges and details are as follows. Firstly, the competency units will be customized for the existing academic subjects in the curriculum rather than developing new subjects in accordance with NCS competency units. Secondly, some client-related competency units including children, seniors, the disabled are newly developed and then applied to the curriculum, which are crucial for the career development at the junior college level. Thirdly, the competency units are categorized into three types in accordance with the degree of job relevancy - type 1, type 2, type 3. Fourthly, four out of 11 basic job abilities are selected and then developed into academic subjects. Fifthly, all competency units concerning the main job market are regarded as one virtual competency unit and then arranged in the order of type 1s, type 2s and type 3s and then the scope of their study is adjusted to the job abilities required at the main job market.

We extracted 50 LVH patients out of 30'~80's who performing ECG and echocardiography examination. We used Devereux's theory to examinate LVH with echocardiography and used Sokolow-Lyon's theory to examinate LVH with ECG. We used regression and correlation analysis by SPSS, used ROC curve analysis to decide predominance of two ways of .Age, BMI, SBP and DBP whice are the danger factors of LVH and standard value of LVH diagnosis examination seems correlated. Out of 50 LVH patients, 50 patients were diagnosed LVH by echcardiography examination and only 21 patients were diagnosed LVH by ECG examination. Also echocardiography was AUC 99%, sensitivity 96%, singularity 95%, accuracy 95.5%. And ECG was AUC 76%, sensitivity 62%, singularity 76%, accuracy 68%.By comparing accuracy between echocardiography and ECG in diagnosing LVH, we could tell echocardiography was examination with higher accuracy. Therefore, if one was diagnosed with summit on 1st examination with ECG, considering age, body mass index, systolic blood pressure and dilator blood pressure, should offer echocardiography examination.

The Journal of the Korea Contents Association, volume 16, issue 2, 2016, Pages 714~728
DOI : 10.5392/JKCA.2016.16.02.714
This research aims to categorize factors affecting reluctance of second childbirth among working mothers using Q methodology. P sample holds 50 working mothers between 20 and 45 years old living in Daegu-Gyeongbuk area. After securing the total 72 statements, the final 24 Q samples were confirmed through the second classification. As a result of this study, three types of the working mothers were classified. The first type that 22 working mothers (44%) were classified was "having uncooperative spouse". The second type which 13 working mothers (26%) were included was "working at not family-friendly workplace". Lastly, eight working mothers (16%) belonged to the third type, "having financial difficulty". Therefore, this study could confirm that the working mothers evade their second childbirth mostly because of the insufficient childcare support both at home and at work, rather than economic reasons. Thus, this study suggests that the Korean government should try to spread work-family balance culture than just providing financial support in order to encourage the second childbirth among working mothers.

values, and look into the meaning by analyzing its values. We explain the purpose of this study and gotten their agreement from patients visiting the dentist, 111 people's (men 50, women 61) three teeth, the maxillary central incisor, maxillary lateral incisor, maxillary canines, total of 333 teeth colorimetry. As a result of comparing the differences in colors between cervical margin and incisal edge,
of canine is shown as low as
, followed by lateral incisor of maxilla as
and central incisor of maxilla
. Females show higher luminosity(L*) than males do in all teeth- central incisor, lateral incisor and canine; in yello chroma(b*) males' central incisor is slightly higher than that of females (p<0.05). Age significantly influences the luminosity and red (a*) and yellow chroma (b*) of central incisor(L*); the luminosity(L*), and yellow chroma(b*) of lateral incisor and canine (p<0.05). Smoking doesn't significantly influence the color of natural teeth. Drinking reduces the luminosity of central incisor as well as red chroma of lateral incisor(p<0.05). A chronic illness is likely to reduce the luminosity of central incisor and lateral incisor(p<0.05).
