Automated Brain Region Extraction Method in Head MR Image Sets

A noel automated brain region extraction method in single channel MR images for visualization and analysis of a human brain is presented. The method generates a volume of brain masks by automatic thresholding using a dual curve fitting technique and by 3D morphological operations. The dual curve fitting can reduce an error in clue fitting to the histogram of MR images. The 3D morphological operations, including erosion, labeling of connected-components, max-feature operation, and dilation, are applied to the cubic volume of masks reconstructed from the thresholded Drain masks. This method can automatically extract a brain region in any displayed type of sequences, including extreme slices, of SPGR, T1-, T2-, and PD-weighted MR image data sets which are not required to contain the entire brain. In the experiments, the algorithm was applied to 20 sets of MR images and showed over 0.97 of similarity index in comparison with manual drawing.
Telemedicine System using the PACS and DooRae(Collaborative Multimedia Environment)

Development of information technology makes a telemedicine system feasible along with the traditional medical practice of visiting a hospital (or clinic). This telemedicine workstation would include a PACS interface and between inpatient and outpatient HIS/RIS/PACS transaction protocol. Although this system has adopted PACS, this technology has been available for severe year the integration of the system into clinical operation has had limited success due to stringent requirements of radiologists as well as the load demanded on the system.
Research of Evaluation Method According to learning Type for Educational Web Contents

In this paper, I propose and prove the evaluation standard for educational web contents. I divide the evaluation standards into five types -drill and practice, tutorial, simulation, educational game, presentation. It is proved the propriety of evaluation standards by experts. The evaluation standards presented in this paper can hep teachers to choose and to develop the educational web contents. Therefore it will contribute to decreasing a burden to prepare instruction used ICT for teachers and increasing the effect of Information-Oriented Education.
A Study on Interactive Multimedia Contents Service System

In this thesis, the interactive multimedia contents service system is proposed. The interactive multimedia contents service system which added the on-line merit on the off-line merit of CD-ROM title can transfer messages among users and update contents immediately. The Interactive multimedia contents service system which Integrated the CD-ROM title and Internet sonics is possible to use in on-line / off-line. The proposed system more improved the fault of CD-ROM title in the conventional main media, the search environment by using mutual correlation of the utilization and method of the Internet CD-ROM title.

The purpose of this study was to examine the influence Of external environmental context, organizational context, and technical context on adoption and diffusion of B2B EC using innovation framework In this study, factors distinguishing non-adoption companies of B2B EC from adoption companies of B2B EC were customer-supplier power, perceived benefits, top management support, organizational strategy and organizational characteristics. The results of this research weight various B2B EC adoption factors in terms of their strategic importance.
A Study on Online Consumers′Price Sensitivity

This article purpose are on the variables of consumer's Doe sensitivity. Our result from sets of data indicate that the web site trust, the web site interactivity and the perceived risk have an effect on price search. Our result is as follows. First, the more trust the web site, the lower the price search. Second, the more interactivity of the web site, the lower the price search. Third, the greater the depth of information at the web site, the higher the price search. forth, the higher the perceived risk, the higher the price search. Fifth, the higher the knowledge of product, the higher the price search.

Valuation of intangible assets has been discussed for the purpose of transaction of a technology and investment based on intangible assets as well. Practical techniques, however, have rut been developed for valuation of automated, electronic data bases as specialized knowledge information contents. This study will summarize general intangible valuation approaches and special considerations in contents valuation, and present examples of the application of approaches to illustrative contents valuation analysis.
Interferometric Image Encryption and Decryption using Binary Phase Hologram

In this paper, we propose the new optical security technique using two phase holograms based on interferometer. The encoded random phase image does not have any information on the original image. Without Hewing the key mask, one cannot decode the encrypted image and regenerate the original image. And the use of two phase only images in the proposed security system leads to maximum optical efficiency (100% in theory). Also they cannot be detected by an intensity detector such as a CCD camera. Computer simulations and optical experiments show performance of the proposed methods.
Component Classification and Retrieval using Clustering Algorithm

This study proposes method to classify components in repository and retrieve them introducing the idea of domain orientation for successful reuse of components. About components of existing systems design pattern was applied to, us suggest component classification method to compare structural similarity between each component in relevant domain and criterion pattern. Component reusability and portability between platforms can be increased through classifying reusable components by function and giving their structures with diagram. Efficiency of component reuse can be raised because the most appropriate component to query and similar candidate components and provided in priority by use of E-SARM algorithm.
Performance Analysis of Gigabit Network in Campus

This paper has done a network performance test as well as result analysis of the test in a real campus gigabit network The inner network backbone consists of gigabit ethernet . The mean ratio of network use is below 1% age, and the maximum one comes to 10%. The floating capacity is still good enough to meet network flowing because the mean ratio of inner campus network as outer ones is 30.4% and the maximum one is merely 38.3%. But there appears a security problem. We must make a device blocking illegal approach to the client form outer network It is important that we can a away to manage the campus gigabit network efficiently on the basis of the given data from this performance test.
Authoring of MPEG4 Contents using XMT-A

It presents an two types of storage formal such as XMT (eXtensible MPEG-4 Textual fount) and MP4 file format D store the interactive multimedia contents. The XMT, a textual format, has advantage of readability and it can be used in many applications since designed based on the XML In this paper, we present the way how to author the MPEG-4 contents using XMT.
Performance Analysis of an Collision Resolution Algorithm in HFC-CATV Network

To provide interactive sonics in HFC(Hybrid Fiber Coax)-CATV network, there must be supported a MAC(Medium Access Control) protocol. It is wet known that collision can be occurred in the HFC upstream channel because it is shared by up to 500 users. Thus it needs the collision resolution algorithm. Consequently, this paper proposes the analysis mood to study stability of binary stack algorithm for adaptive collision resolution algorithm in HFC-CATV. Also, it compares a system throughput between IPP model and D-BMAP model.
Design and Analysis of Mobile-IPv6 Multicasting Algorithm Supporting Smooth Handoff in the All-IP Network

The QoS(Quality of Service) guarantee mechanism is one of critical issues in the wireless network. Real-time applications like VoIP(Voice over IP) in All-IP networks need smooth handoffs in order to minimize or eliminate packet loss as a Mobile Host(MH) transitions between network links. In this paper, we design a new multicasting algorithm using DB(Dynamic Buffering) mechanism for Mobile-IPv6. A key feature of the new protocol is the concepts of the DB and MRA(Multicast Routing Agent) to reduce delivery path length of the multicast datagram. Particularly, the number of tunneling and average routing length of datagram are reduced relatively, the multicast traffic load is also decreased.

Performance Analysis of a NOW According to the Number of Processes and Execution Time

Recently, instead of a high-cost supercomputer, there haws been widely used a NOW system that consists of low-cost PCs and workstations connected all over the network In a NOW, performance for parallel processing depends on the computation pouter of each computer and communication time. Currently, a lot of methods have been proposed in order to increase the performance of parallel processing. However, the previous results have been studied in the view of balancing work load as the computation pouter of each computer. If a computer has multiple work precesses in a NOW, we can predict a decrease of communication tire needed in message passing, Therefore, in this paper, we analyzes factors of improving the performance in the view of work precesses, and evaluates experimently an effect on total performance as the number of work processes increases. Also, we propose a new broadcasting method to be used in experiment of this paper. This paper uses the LAM/MPI for an experimental evaluation.
luminescent Characteristics of
S:CuCl Thin-film Electroluminescent(TFEL) Device

S:CuCl TFEL devices were fabricated by electron-beam deposition system and luminescent characteristics of the TFEL devices were studied. The SrS and CaS powders were mixed to form
S host materials and 0.2 at% of CuCl was added as the activator. The luminance(lao) and peak emission wavelength of CaS:CuCl TFEL devices were 9.5 cd/m
and 492 nm, respectively. The luminance(L
) and peak emission wavelength of SrS:CuCl TFEL devices were 633 cd/m
and 500 nm, respectively. It seems that the addition of CaS into the SrS host material generates blue shift of the EL emission characteristics but reduces the luminance and the luminous efficiency of the
S:CuCl TFEL devices drastically.
