Design of a RDF Metadata System for the Searching of Application Programs

As the amount of data on the web increase, it is difficult to search what we want exactly. Therefore, much researches are attempted to search web resources efficiently. So, W3C established the standard that give meanings to resources on the web using RDF metadata. The RDF metadata had been mainly described a document data on the web. But it is difficult to create automatically the metadata for application programs than the document data. This paper proposes a method to use RDF metadata to search application programs. Firstly, we define RDF data model that stores the information of the application programs and RDF schema that references the RDF data model. And we design a prototype system to search application programs. This system meets expectation, getting the application to fullfill the needs of user, and has the efficiency of the searching function.
Design for the Multimedia Messaging Engine for Electronic Traffic Administration Services

It may not be strange to anticipate that the forth-coming epoch of electronic government would bring us lots of convenience on account of ubiquitous environment with mobile devices. Such environment enables us to access the up-to-date information anytime and also a worker to carry out administration services to perform one's line of duty at anytime with electronic, handy devices such as PDA. What we now recognize from the field of electronic traffic administration services is that the office work flow as well as the public services has been remarkably improved by using of not only text but video and image information under the distributed, mobile environment. One of key requirements of this kinds of services is the feature of exchanging various information among multiple information publishers and subscribers. We call this feature Messaging Services generally The study in this paper focuses on the architecture design of the Messaging Engine software, complying with the pattern-oriented software architecture design methodology. And our contribution also goes to the discovery of three architecture patterns found in the design process and the efficient multi-threading architecture compared to one of the Messaging Engine solutions.
Clinical Decision Support System for Identification of Anaerobe

In the anaerobe identification, when we develop the clinical decision support system for department of laboratory medicine, we must consider expression of an incomplete knowledge structure and addition of an evolving knowledge based on an expert's informal and heuristic knowledge is very complicated work flow. In the present study, we developed the system for anaerobe identification to advise on identification of unknown bacillus using knowledge base and inference engine. In the future, we are planning to develop the clinical decision support system for the whole bacteria not only an anaerobe but also aerobe to offer an expert's static and dynamic knowledge.
Design and Implementation of Protein Pathway Analysis System

In the post-genomic era, researches on proteins as well as genes have been increasingly required. Particularly, work on protein-protein interaction and protein network construction have been recently establishing. Most biologists publish their research results through papers or other media. However, biologists do not use the information effectively, because the published research results are very large. As the growth of internet field, it becomes easy to access these research results. It is important to extract information with a biological meaning from various media. Therefore, In this paper, we efficiently extract the protein information from many open papers or other media and construct the database of the extracted information. We build a protein network from the established database and then design and implement various pathway analysis algorithms which find biological meaning from the protein network.
Face Recognition by Combining Linear Discriminant Analysis and Radial Basis Function Network Classifiers

This paper presents a face recognition method based on the combination of well-known statistical representations of Principal Component Analysis(PCA), and Linear Discriminant Analysis(LDA) with Radial Basis Function Networks. The original face image is first processed by PCA to reduce the dimension, and thereby avoid the singularity of the within-class scatter matrix in LDA calculation. The result of PCA process is applied to LDA classifier. In the second approach, the LDA process Produce a discriminational features of the face image, which is taken as the input of the Radial Basis Function Network(RBFN). The proposed approaches has been tested on the ORL face database. The experimental results have been demonstrated, and the recognition rate of more than 93.5% has been achieved.
Analysis of a Cache Management Protocol Using a Back-shifting Approach

To reduce server bottlenecks in client-server computing, each client may have its own cache for later reuse. The pessimistic approach for cache management protocol leads to unnecessary waits, because, it can not be commit a transaction until the transaction obtains all requested locks. In addition, optimistic approach tends to make needless aborts. This paper suggests an efficient optimistic protocol that overcomes such shortcomings. In this paper, we present a simulation-based analysis on the performance of our scheme with other well-known protocols. The analysis was executed under the Zipf workload which represents the popularity distribution on the Web. The simulation experiments show that our scheme performs as well as or better than other schemes with low overhead.
A New Hidden Error Function for Training of Multilayer Perceptrons

LBL(Layer-By-Layer) algorithms have been proposed to accelerate the training speed of MLPs(Multilayer Perceptrons). In this LBL algorithms, each layer needs a error function for optimization. Especially, error function for hidden layer has a great effect to achieve good performance. In this sense, this paper proposes a new hidden layer error function for improving the performance of LBL algorithm for MLPs. The hidden layer error function is derived from the mean squared error of output layer. Effectiveness of the proposed error function was demonstrated for a handwritten digit recognition and an isolated-word recognition tasks and very fast learning convergence was obtained.
Analysis of Termination Capacity in IEEE 802.16 Broadband Wireless Access Environments

Request about fast diffusion of internet and high-capacity multimedia service is increasing day after day. Because existent wireless LAN is short range, if subscriber is far away in base station transceiver system(Base Station), subscriber's quality of service becomes low, and wileless internet is expensive. Lately, WiBro(Wireless Broadband Internet) system that is developed in domestic by world first, is high-speed portable internet service that is situated in middle area of mobile phone and wireless LAN. In this paper, service traffic model and characteristics are analyzed to provide multimedia service based on IEEE 802.16 BWA accomplishes base of WiBro and simulation is conducted according to various traffic mixing ratio. Finally, on the basis of these simulation results, maximum allowable number of subscriber per cell is calculated.
IIR Filter Design of HRTF for Real-Time Implementation of 3D Sound by Synthetic Stereo Method

In this paper, we proposed an algorithm for the approximation of high order FIR filters by low order IIR filters to efficient implementing two channel 3-D surround sound systems using Head-related transfer functions(HRTFs). The algorithm is based on a concept of the balanced model reduction. The binaural sounds using the approximated HRTFs are reproduced by headphone, and serves as a cue of sound image localization. HRTFs of dummy-head are approximated from 512-order FIR filters by 32-order IIR filters and compare with each other. .Experiment of sound image are carried out for 10 participants. We perform the experiment based on computer simulation and hardware experiment with TMS320C32. The results of the experiments show that the localization using the approximated HRTFs is the same accuracy as the case of FIR filters that simulate the HRTFs.
A Motion-driven Selective Visual Attention System

In this paper, a selective visual attention module based on motion stimuli is introduced for the purpose of detecting ROI(region of interest) or FOA(focus of attention) in motion pictures. Analysis of motion fields in our approach is in direct contrast to some of the previous studies of selective visual attention module. Motion that presents temporal visual saliency in an aspect between two successive frames is analyzed based on psychological studies in 'DORF(double opponent receptive fields)' and 'NF(noise filtration)' in MT(middle temporal cortex). Analyzed results are integrated based on the theory of 'motion integration' in MT to obtain a single conspicuous region. Experiments through a human subjective evaluation showed generally accepted results.
Projected Image Reconstruction Using Higher Order B-Spline

In this paper a method of reconstructing a desired image through the geometrical transformation and the interpolation techniques is presented by comparing different interpolation schemes. Several different interpolation schemes are compared with respect to the amount of error that is the difference between the original and the reverse-projective transformed images. Higher ordered B-spline interpolation turned to be superior to other techniques in reconstructing the image which is desired to be close to the unskewed image as much as possible. In the results, this paper demonstrates that the reverse projection using the higher ordered B-spline interpolation is superior to those conventional interpolation methods, linear, cubic spline for reconstructing image. In experiments, the error decreases as the order of B-spline increases. The proposed technique is useful for various practical and theoretical applications in the area of satellite, medical, and commercial image processing.
Admission Consultation Wizard System Based on Multi-Agent

The Internet is widely used by general people and the use of Internet is spread to all industrial fields. Especially, cyber education fields have been changed a lot with the Internet application development. One of them is the field of consultation for university admission. As for the business of university admission, there were two ways applicants handed in their applications directly to school which they applied to and to each place to receive applications or sent them through FAX. Recently, highlighted is the Internet environment to receive the application for admission which integrated organically the two ways. In this thesis, I designed and implemented on-line admission consulting system using of multi-agent. The examines can apply for safely and according to their conviction by recommending the university course suitable for their academic aptitude and scores with test KSAT(Scholastic Aptitude Test Administered by the Korean Ministry) and a university grade report on students' record using intelligent multi-agents and through a university course recommending wizard in the process of choosing it.
Development of Guideline on Electronic Signatures for Electronic Medical Record

One of the most secure ways of maintaining the confidentiality and integrity of electronic information is to use electronic signatures. So, in this paper, we developed guideline on electronic signatures for EMR(electronic medical record) based on the Medical Law and the Electronic Signature Act. This guideline is intended to introduce EMR easily in the medical field and to facilitate the promotion of EMR. We developed it through consulting from the advisory committee that was made up of experts in the fields of medical record, EMR system and electronic signatures. The contents of the guideline consist of subject and time stamp of electronic signatures, validity of a certificate, management of electronic signatures and custody and management of EMR. In the future, we will develop practical cases and promote educations and publicities of them to use in the medical institutes and EMR system related industries.
Performance Analysis On Antenna's Isolation for LEO Satellite Communication Service

A performance analysis of LEO Satellite Communication Service is being made in a variety of ways. In this paper we examined the variation of interference caused by the distribution of terminals within a cell and the maximum number of users according to the average distance between terminals, which had not been considered in former researches. Also we examined the interference made by sopt beam isolation value of some antennas(tapered-apertured antenna, gaussian antenna) which are used on LEO Satellite Communication Service Assigning this interference to the bandwidth of channels in LEO Satellite Communication Service, and with principal parameters(bandwidth, number of carrier) we made a performance analysis. And comparing tapered-apertured antenna with gaussian antenna we will find out which one is more effective and more suitable for interference.
Detection of the Optic Disk Boundary in Retinal Images Using Inward and Outward Curve Evolution

This paper describes a technique for detecting the boundary of the optic disk in digital image of the retina using inward and outward curve evolution. This paper offers medical information about glaucoma progresses. For accurate boundary detection, image inpainting based on texture synthesis removes blood vessels crossing the optic disk. For removing noises and preserving boundary of optic disk in image inpainting process, the anisotropic diffusion filtering is necessary. After pre-processing, the optic disk boundary is determined using inward and outward curve evolution. The experimental results show that the algorithm is effective for detection of optic disk boundary.
A Study on Gemmological Characters and Identificational Methods of Coral

The coral is precious and organic gemstone. It is Beautifully Red color. Coral jewelry have been used for a long time in Asia. Especially in Korea, The Coral is an traditional and popular gemstone. It is significant to get the base data for the purpose of distinguishing natural coral from imitation coral by comparing about gemmological character in this study. Color, luster, transparency, streak color, refractive index, hardness, chemical reaction, ultraviolet fluorescence, specific gravity, observation of microscope and XRD analysis were conducted for identification of natural and imitation coral. As a result, natural coral has usually
composition and calcite structure. But, it is known that imitation coral impregnate calcic and dyeing materials with pigment. And they were distinguished also from not only XRD analysis but also a few simple experiments like specific gravity, refractive index and chemical reaction. Natural coral is harder and luster then imitation coral. In breaking method, the streak color is used certification.
A Guideline for Personalized Information Architecture(PIA) System of National College Entrance Information Web-site

A vast amount of the national college entrance information and a broad range of contents make it more difficult for user to find, collect and compare the data. In this study, we find out how users work to collect, compare data through the usability test and take cognizance of difficulty and requirements on national college entrance information web-site. And then we give the planning for designing national college entrance information web-site through a personalized information architecture(PIA) system. Namely, this paper provides a guideline for designing a user-centric personalized information architecture(PIA) system through the usability test.

Study on Hit Judgement Model of MMORPG - in case of Travia Online -

Hit judgement is essential factor in design for battle-style MMORPG game system and sets foundation for other game systems. Hit judgement model consists of attack power and attack rate. The former contains minimum, maximum, and critical attack, the latter has miss, hit, and critical blow rate. Random function generates one value of attack rate and consequently the damage is calculated. In this article, we propose hit judgement model which Is widely acceptable for generic MMORPG and describe the effort of applying the proposed model to Travia Online in detail.
Research About Character Illustration Which the 3D Game Character Manufacture

It is said that today is an era of total cord characterized by the transition from the industrial society to the knowledge based and information one. In this age of total cord, the most complex media production is the game industry. In the game industry, game character as one of the elements of game production is the most important because it contains visual elements created through interaction with a user. Initial creation of characters in the game industry is considered having the most value-adding element. Character creation in game production begins with basic drawings, like a diffusive property of the production elements, and proceeds to complicated 2D game character illustration and 3D game character production. In addition, only when driving forces for game development such as individuality and virtual reality are based on different mind cord from existing one, foundation for it will be firmly established. Therefore, it is clear that understanding of the Importance of character illustration and original drawings in the game production is essential to successfully produce more perfect 3D game characters.
The Improvement of Mouse-Keyboard Control UI for 3D VR Contents

The best way to express space effectively on internet is to use 3D VR(Virtual Reality) contents. But it is too difficult to control the 3D VR space with the 2D device. So the content makers cannot solve this problem easily. Besides they define the UI control in their own subjective way which makes the users confused. The purpose of this study is to present the grounds for the Control UI standardization by studying the deriving improvement direction. First of all, we categorize current control UI designs for space-VR on web service by controlling method features into three Types. Next we itemize the main improvement direction that is based on our analysis. First, the UI design that maintains for a typical 2D Input Device method to help the beginner users. Secondly, the concise UI that allows users to Immerse easily in VR. Thirdly, the control level construction that satisfies both users who are skillful at 3D games and users who have little experience with these devices. In this way, we propose the most suitable control UI model that satisfies these improvement directions. We expect the result of our study to serve as an important basis for the standardization of VR services.
A Study on Korean Film Criticism at the Initial Stage - the case of the 1920s and the mid-1930s -

The purpose of this study was to look into Korean film criticism that started during Japanese occupation. It's specifically attempted to shed light on the development and significance of Joseon film criticism and on film movement theory as part of the history of Korean early modern film criticism. When kino-drama that could be called the start of Joseon movies was popular, enlightenment-based view of movie was rampant due to the inflow of western civilization and modernistic consciousness. Afterwards, the nature of movie itself drew a lot of attention from contemporary people in the silent picture days, and there appeared a critical trend in pursuit of artistry. Diverse criteria of criticism about reality and representation were presented, and a lot of disputes were eventually stirred up. Thus, criticism started to make a progress. A proletarian film movement theory, the so-called KAPF film campaign that was prevalent from the mid-1920s to the mid-1930s, was one of leading contemporary movie theories and took the lead in critic community. That had a great impact on the entire Joseon film circles. That took a proletarian view of movie, which was based on Bolshevik theory of Popularization and dialectic historical materialism. their criticism made a contribution to providing information on foreign movies and theories and to presenting main principles and multiple alternatives toward film organization and playing.
A Study for Reconstruction of Chuncheon Animation Industry

This study is intended to arrange the situation of Chuncheon Animation Industry which is applied as a keyword for Regional balanced development system and Regional specialized Industry promotion policy and estimate the appropriateness as Regional specialized industry and possibility of comparative superiority over other regions. This study is intended to look the trial and error of Chuncheon Animation Industry which has been promoted for 10 years and suggest the method to establish new regional industry promotion strategy based on 'innovation' and apply it effectively. Therefore, I intend that in order to establish a new paradigm of animation industry, the industrial appropriateness of animation in changed New Knowledge Based Society is inspected and then the strategy is made. Moreover, in the point of leading position of regional animation, the basis and function of New Knowledge Based Society of Gangwon-province and Chuncheon are thought. In conclusion, the problems and solution of Chuncheon Animation Industry are explored.
Effect of SagungaTang Ingestion on Ammonia and IGF-I During Training Period

The purpose of this study was to investigated the effect of six weeks' administration of Sagungatang Ingestion to blood ammonia and IGF-I, and further to testify its efficacy as ergogenic aids. The experimental subjects, 6 basketball players are loaded gradual maximal exercise by Treadmill at pre-Ingestion, three weeks after Ingestion, and six weeks after Ingestion, respectively and then their reaction of blood variables are analyzed. The obtained results are as follows: The effects of the Sagungatang on blood energy metabolism was showed Ammonia to the time(p<.01), But week was not showed. IGF-I was showed week(p<.01). In conclusion, Sagungatang herb medicine ingestion of high school basketball player did show good effect on the rest time and recovery process to blood ammonia and IGF-I. Even though the Sagungtang precedes can be for the department of sport medicine as well as good for health.
A Study of BioSignal Analysis for Physical Activity of Wu-Shu Training

In this paper, we are suggested a method that's a major topics in sports medicine. It is disease control, control and management of chronic degenerative disease, and promotion of health. We are analyze physical activity to scientific and quantitative a trainee at Wu-Shu gymnasium, for a suggested method. We are measured a quantity of physical activity by SenseWear-PRO2-Armband which develop body-media company. Armband include to skin temperature sensor, near-body temperature sensor, accelerometer, heat flux sensor, galvanic skin response sensor. Acquired data was recorded to storage in Armband. We are analyzed using InnerView Wearer Software in the Stored data to skin temperature, calorie expenditure, quantity of physical activity. The result of this analyzed, we are know that a man of long-term exercise expenditure energy at short time and if liveliness of physical activity was Increase in expenditure energy with increase skin temperature. Also, we are know that the heat flux after increase expenditure energy with increase skin temperature. And, know that GSR was not affected a factors that physical activity, expenditure energy, increase skin temperature, and others.
A Study on the Participant's Satisfaction on the Exhibition Service

This study was to analyse participant's satisfaction according to the visiting purpose and experiences on the exhibition service, and also to suggest guideline for new standard evaluation in the operating exhibition service. The implications are as follows; firstly, surrounding environment showed significantly for merchandising & information participant's, and also stay cost & tourism service showed up general visiting purpose participant's. Secondly, it was showed significantly a place for refreshment, fire equipments, and ventilation & heating/air conditioning on the exhibition service. Third, government & exhibition authorized person should provide best environment through satisfaction factors in the exhibition service.
3D Terrain Analysis and Modeling for Double-Tract Railway Route Selection Using Geo-Spatial Information

Recently remote sensing technology is applied for construction planning and design areas by use of remote sensed satellite images according to engineering application technology in the various experimental tasks. In this study, it was applied for 3 dimensional terrain analysis and basic design by comparing with present railway and newly expanded double-tract railway route of forest sites on the new construction site of 15km at national railway lines, and then showed 3-D perspective images and fly simulation images to examine possibility of various application as terrain analysis modeling and running simulation at the corresponding course. As a result of its application, it gained the results not only improvement of present methods but also real various application possibilities.
A Study on The Service Characteristics Effects on Customer Satisfaction and Customer Loyalty In Mobile Telecommunications

Recently, the mobile telecommunication industry is increasing rapidly; nevertheless it is competing severely with other mobile telecommunication industries in the world and it is projected that in the future the mobile telecommunication industry will compete more fiercely and increase more rapidly. By means of looking into the relationship of the mobile telecommunication service characteristics and satisfaction loyalty, therefore, it can be said that it can help the companies which want to survive in such a competitive society. And then we investigated how these classified characteristics(economical incentive, convenient incentive, symbolical incentive) on mobile service could influence on customer satisfaction and customer loyalty.
Participative Decision Making and Interpersonal Trust Effects on the Productivity

As the results, we could figure out that satisfiable rate of performance feedback and open communication are related with the productivity Especially, an administrative group based on the mutual trust, can meet the level of customer's satisfaction and cultural multiplicity. Setting up the mutual trust is to maximize the ability of members and to derive the motivation of working concentration.
A Study on the Feature and Improvement for e-Commerce of Parts Procurement in the Japanese Automobile Industry

The purpose of this study is how to apply to e-Commerce of parts procurement system in the Japanese Automobile Industry and examine the influence of that through the case studies of automobile makers. In the Japanese automobile industry, B2B e-Commerce of parts procurement system have a shifted from closed circuits through VAN to opened IP-VPN and eventually to the JNX of internet environment. The Japanese automobile industry depends mainly on IP-VPN and JNX, especially EDI on a one to one basis with parts procurement suppliers. As to the future direction of B2B e-Commerce of parts procurement in the Japanese automobile industry, many of commodity parts will be traded among established participants on internet websites owned by automobile maker groups. Finally, for improvement of B2B e-Commerce of parts procurement in the Japanese automobile industry I suggested that there are 'revitalize of e-Marketplace', 'improvement of IT and business process', 'extension of B2B e-Commerce among small and medium sized suppliers'.

Effect Analysis of Learning Using Educational Contents

The importance of ICT is being emphasized in this information-oriented society. In the 7th curriculum, it is necessary to use ICT more than 10% in teaching every subjects to keep pace with this trend. The distinctive feature of the curriculum lies in the introduction of various gradations and levels of the individual students. In this paper, by designing and applying the teaching idea based on educational contents, we analyzed how it has an effect on achieving of studies. As the results of this research, we found that teaching based on educational contents made students the meaningful increasement of interest in the controlled group and according to the increasement of the achievement in studying, the improvement of teaching are confirmed.
A Study on Design and Implementation of Digital Content for Education of e-Commerce

Through the development of the Internet and multimedia systems, usage of cyber education with multimedia contents is increasing. On-line education differs from face-to-face education in that it overcomes the limits of the time and space, and supports a repeated self study at the student's study level while using several media and educational contents. In this paper, we will design and implement e-commerce educational content which is effective for students and useful for the process of cyber education. In addition, we will produce statistics from a questionnaire which questioned students on the effectiveness of the content.
A P2P-Based Experience Learning Support System for U-Learning

Learners show lower cooperation and responsibility at e-Learning(Electronic Learning) than face-to-face learners in class. Accordingly the LMS(Learning Management System) focus on collaborative learning design in order to promote the learner's interaction. In this paper, the Experience Learning Support System with JXTA-based P2P(Peer-to-Peer) architecture is proposed for an effective collaborative learning and a blended learning. It intends learners to develop a self-leading learning ability and a creative problem-solving ability through experience learning object's sharing. The experimental results described that the proposed system was more effective in an enhancing learner's learning ability and a cooperative learning than existing system.

A Novel Blind Watermarking Scheme Using Block Indexing

In this paper, we propose an efficient watermarking algorithm using block indexing. The proposed algorithm is a novel blind watermarking scheme using the indexed watermark value based on the spread spectrum method. The watermark insertion is allocated into index value of each block after dividing original image into sub-blocks. The watermark embedded in mappinged with index values of blocks, And the mappinged blocks convert to DCT and then the PN sequence embedded to middle frequency band. Consequently the watermark is expressed by index value of sub-blocks. The watermark extracted from the correlation of between PN sequence and watermarked image. Experimental results demonstrate that the watermarked image has a good quality in terms of imperceptibility and is robust against various attacks.
A Study on Effective Digital Watermark Generation Method to Overcome Capacity Limit

During the design of a successful digital watermarking systems, Pseudo-Noise(PN) sequences are widely used to modulate information bits into watermark signals. In this method, the number of bits that can be hidden within a small image by means of frequency domain watermarking is limited. In this paper, we show the possibility of introducing chaotic sequences into digital watermarking systems as potential substitutes to commonly used PN-sequences. And we propose a method that transforms the text to chaotic sequence. In our current implementation, we show how the sample text is expressed by an implied unit data(watermark) and the implied unit data is regenerated into the original left. Because we use this implied data as watermark for information hiding, we can insert much more watermark compared with previous method.

A Protection Protocol for License-based Digital Rights

The Internet technologies allows anybody who has connect a network to access various multimedia information. But, it brings new issues about the violation of intellectual property and copyright of multimedia contents. Digital right managements have been actively studied as approaches to solve them. In this paper, we propose license-based schemes for the protection of contents and its rights on digital right management. The proposed schemes provide limited distribution and superdistribution of contents, and guarantee to securely use contents by usage rules.
Attack Detection Algorithm Using Exponential Smoothing Method on the IPv6 Environment

Mistaking normal packets for harmful traffic may not offer service in conformity with the intention of attacker with harmful traffic, because it is not easy to classify network traffic for normal service and it for DDoS(Distributed Denial of Service) attack. And in the IPv6 environment these researches on harmful traffic are weak. In this dissertation, hosts in the IPv6 environment are attacked by NETWOX and their attack traffic is monitored, then the statistical information of the traffic is obtained from MIB(Management Information Base) objects used in the IPv6. By adapting the ESM(Exponential Smoothing Method) to this information, a normal traffic boundary, i.e., a threshold is determined. Input traffic over the threshold is thought of as attack traffic.
