Power Consumption Analysis of the Wibro System Using Pilot Control of Uplink Symbol

In this paper, proposed the method to increase the battery life of the Wibro terminal by reducing its power consumption. The amount of power consumption was analysed. And as the results, it is shown that the suggested method can be reduced the power consumption. The performance of the proposed system, which control the number of pilot of symbol, analysed by the simulation. It is shown that the power consumption of the terminal can be reduced by the reduction of the CINR for the percentage of pilot per symbol, as 0.48dBm for 10% and 0.95dBm for 20%, which can be accomplished by changing the current system of having the fixed number of pilot.
The Development of Remote Monitoring Technology for URC Robot

In the ubiquitous environment, the real-time remote control and monitoring technology for intelligent robot creates service as a sharable and independent of time-location for various contents to get from a sensor or camera of the robot. In this paper, We propose the real-time monitor and control mechanism for intelligent robot called URC(Ubiquitous Robotic Companion). URC are intelligent robots designed as to interact with external digital device that can communicate through wire or wireless by integration the network and information technology into traditional robot. It has been carried out by implementing this technology into the target robot called ISSAC4 and proving its practical worth. We designed feasibly to control on remote site by web-browser. It guarantees a continuity of real-time image transferring by Client-Pull method.
Suitable IP Currency Quality Measurement Model in Ubiquitous Environment

This paper proposes a quality measurement model for video phone service over IP environment. Proposed model enhances conventional E-Model by using quality analysis and this model is suitable for ubiquitous environment. This research measures video phone quality by applying bust packet loss and recency effect. It uses delay and recency effect for compensating actual quality and recognized quality of user using NR and UR factor. Simulation results show that this model can provide more precise results than conventional model by considering recency effect of video phone service quality measurement model.
Adaptation of Secure Algorithm of Short Messaging Services(SMS) on CDMA Network

At the present, Short Messaging Transfer Protocol Standard described under TIA/EIA/IS-637-A does not cover the measures for security at all. Sequentially, in case of necessity, it seems to be a better idea that security functions are made up for current short messaging transfer protocol. This paper proposes security mechanisms including algorithms and protocols for Short Messaging Services(SMS) which present not only high levels of confidentiality and integrity but also appropriate level of authentication.
The Research of the Method and the Classification in Painting Style Between Korean Traditional Ink Paintings and Color Paintings

Paying attention to the fact that Korean traditional ink and color paintings are different in their use of colors this paper was intended to demonstrate outcomes from the difference in their painting style through specific paintings and thereby categorizing a broad range of oriental paintings into 4 types(Indian ink light color, middle color, deep color, present color) in accordance with the method of using colors, suggest directions that oriental color paintings should move toward in the future in the diversity of modem Paintings. Due to the characteristics of materials, oriental ink paintings, in style, are light in color within lines, which in return makes colors confined to a complimentary role in an overall picture, not having their unique color identity Nevertheless, there are some paintings that use dark colors, which is called moderate saturation. For such dark-color based paintings, colors play a key role, together with the characteristics of materials of color painting, as colors are used to express the most part of a picture. This study, thus, discusses the difference in the use of color depending on style on one hand, and examined the diversity of modem color paintings through specific works on the other hand, since a number of color paintings similar to western Painting in style have been created today. In such diversity, works that are being currently created should contribute to taking over the tradition and further develop oriental colors with modem aesthetic sensitivity. This paper is aimed to help to do harmonious works with traditional and modern paintings by studying and classifying varieties of colors

A Study on the Danger of Flickering Phenomena in Animation Production

The motion effect of animation can be maximized by using the intended number of frame(flickering phenomena) responding to the viewer's perception in the production processes. But, the high contrast of chroma in a color arrangement can cause very dangerous situation if a particular effect(scheduled number of frame for the intended rapid flickering in a zoom-in scene of the warning light of police car and the traffic light) or a excessive visual stimulus is tried. The danger of flickering phenomena is defined as 'Flash Nervousness Attack Symptom' in medical terminology, which has received wide attention because the damage to the viewers of Pocket Monster was very serious in Japan. Producing a piece of animation work, the quality control of colors is important but the color setting considering the psychological aspects, the danger of repetitive flickering of flashes and patterns in image effect are more serious, so these factors should be checked in the production stages. After investigating the domestic and foreign prescriptions including the guidelines for animation production technique in Japan, a solution to reduce the danger of flickering phenomena of color and light was suggested through statistical comparative analysis with the test results.
Practical Strategies of 5th Grade Subject Class Using Movie Materials in Elementary School

The educational effect of movie is very high. This paper suggests a practical scheme applying multimedia materials to some subject classes. At present film education consists of 3 methods, integrated method, regular method, and professional method in the 7th curriculum. The simplest method is integrated method. Most previous researches tried to apply to middle or high schools, or only one subject class. So we apply integrated method into 5th grade elementary students. At first teaching schedule is constructed on Korean, Social, Science, Ethics, and Art classes, and then movie materials are applied. Finally we let students write study book. Study book says that students take great interest and can promote the thought ability
A Study on the Co-movement of Stock Returns Between Korean Digital Contents Industry Market and Foreign Market

This study examined the stock return co-movement among Korean digital contents industry, American NASDAQ, and Japanese NIKKEI225. This is to identify the reaction of Korean digital contents industry on the movement of foreign stock market. To investigate the co-movements, during the period of 1999 to 2005, daily logarithm difference returns of each stock market indices are tested by the methodology of Granger(1963, 1969)'s causality test. The positive influence from NASDAQ index to Korean digital contents industry index are found, but not vice versa. It means that the market value of firms in Korean digital contents industry affected by the movement of American NASDAQ market which composite with digital IT firms. However, the co-movements with NIKKEI225 did not found.
The Impact of Adopter Type on IT Behavior

Although the study in If behavior field has recently increased, only few studies have focused on the moderating effect of adopter type on the post adoption behavior The purpose of this study is to verify the post-adoption behavior depending on adopter types in the mobile Internet domains. This study proposed a post adoption model based on prior continuance model. This theoretical model was verified empirically by conducting web surveys and multi group analysis. Based on the survey data, we classified users into continuer and discontinuer. This paper ends with theoretical and managerial implications of the study results, as well as limitations and future research directions.
A Study on the Database Improvement for the Real Estate Appraisal Information System

Building the Public Appraisal Information System(PAIS) has been a critical issue because real estate valuation process depends on the various information and analysis. However, there has been little research in this area. As a result, there is not any comprehensive plan for the PAIS constructed by the MOCT(Ministry of Construction and Transportation), and its database quality has various Problems. Therefore, this paper investigated the database of the public appraisal information system and suggested development strategies as follow: preparing a comprehensive plan for data collection, establishment of data management standards, additional collection of the attribute and spatial data, linkage PAIS and other information system.
A Survey on the Demands of Land Use Information for Spatial Planning

For reasonable planning and decisions, spatial Planners should gather and analyse land use information which includes lots, zoning, population, households, buildings, usage, and etc. This study aims to define the demands of land use information for spatial planning. From literature reviews, case studies, and survey, this study shows those findings as following. First most spatial planners suffer from the difficulty of gathering land use information. Second, the priority order of the information could be shown by survey. Third, the unit and renewal period of the spatial information could be defined. Those findings could be a base of information systems for spatial planning.
A Basic Study of the Interdisciplinary Education System Based on Digital Technology in Spatial Design -Focused on Sensor Interface Technology and The Third Place-

The practical value of the third place using ubiquitous digital technology has been increasing rapidly, therefore it is inevitable to educate students of spatial design in the interdisciplinary education system based on the unified technology of digital in order to cultivate leading designers to adapt new era of spatial design. After a research for the unified form of spatial planning and case studies of foreign educations, this study addresses the issues to classify the interdisciplinary teaching form into three educational categories digital interactive education, digital unified education and digital creative education. Finally, the study proposes the basic form of the ideal and futuristic education of spatial design with the distinguished results after conducting the model curriculum by the above categories.
A Study on the Development of Creativity in Elementary School Through Micro-Robot Education

The present cutting-edge industry demands talents with engineering mind that enables them to think and operate in creative manners by themselves while escaping from simple maneuvering activities. Pursuant to the demand of the times, micro-robot manufacturing education at an elementary school level will be an appropriate alternative for developing creativity of children. According to such a need, I designed an effective micro-robot education program for creativity development, and researched it by applying it to the field of education. As a result, in the first place, I could propose teaching-learning material for elementary school for micro-robot manufacturing, Second, I designed a learning program suited to elementary students by dividing it into seven steps. Lastly, there was an improvement in creativity of learners who used the designed teaming program as a result of applying and analyzing the Program.
A Proposal of Mini-Game Application Model for Achieving an Effective Learning in Educational Game

Today, most of games permit interaction between user and game freely. Therefore it is difficult to progress the story-line of the primary stage. Especially in educational game surroundings, we have more difficulties in achieving original purpose of education. In this paper, we proposed the applied model of mini-game which was inserted into main-game in order to control interaction between user and game. On the basis of this model, we derived valuation elements by mini-game implementation types from developing the educational game in which involved mini-game. We looked around whether the educational game achieved the educational goal of first stage or not. Comparing with some excellent ones picked up by public authorities, we evaluated the educational game. As the result of evaluation, we could find that the application of mini-game had very high effectiveness in attainment of teaming goal, studying of well-balanced, and induction of learning motivation. And we found that the application also had very affirmative effect to the practical objects of primary stage in overall sphere.
A Study on Elementary School Teachers' Awareness of Elementary Information Education for Gifted and Talented Students in Jeju Area

In order to secure the national competitiveness in the 21st century's frontier knowledge-based information and globalized society, Korea also needs programs to pick out advanced human resources early and educate them systematically. Therefore the education for the gifted in the information science area is very important, in response to the highly developed Information society, nationally, science-gifted education institutes attached to colleges and several institutions for gifted education have selected and educated the gifted in information science. Therefore, this study is intended to survey local elementary school teachers' awareness on elementary information education for gifted and talented students carried out in jeju by the Education Center for Science Gifted and Talented Students of jeju National University and other education institutions for gifted and talented students in the region and thereby suggest strategies for improvement of the education.
IPTV Content Protection Technology: CAS and DRM

According to the IT839 strategy which was announced by the Ministry of Information and Communication(MIC) in 2004, the convergence trend of the broadcasting and the communication would be much more promoted. Thus, the methods for protecting the broadcasting contents will be indispensible elements for the successful IPTV service achievement. This paper describes the characteristics of IPTV and the related contents protection techniques. To evaluate several security issues, we suggest a security model for IPTV, and speculate the most widespread, two security technologies for IPTV such as CAS and DRM. Moreover, candidate models of IPTV protection system are suggested based on these technologies.
A Study on Pattern of Facial Expression Presentation in Character Animation

Birdwhistell explains in the whole communication, language conveys only 35% of the meaning and the rest 65% is conveyed by non-linguistic media. Humans do not entirely depend on linguistic communication, but are sensitive being, using every sense of theirs. Human communication, by using facial expression, gesture as well as language, is able to convey more concrete meaning. Especially, facial expression is a many-sided message system, which delivers Individual Personality, interest, information about response and emotional status, and can be said as powerful communication tool. Though being able to be changed according to various expressive techniques and degree and quality of expression, the symbolic sign of facial expression is characterized by generalized qualify. Animation characters, as roles in story, have vitality by emotional expression of which mental world and psychological status can reveal and read naturally on their actions or facial expressions.
Analysis of Caustics Effect for Photo-Realistic Rendering in 3D Data

In computer graphics, according as the rapid development of hardware can realize high-resolution image on the monitor, the more natural and accurate rendering skill is needed gradually, and the studies about high-level rendering algorithm are processing. There are two types in rendering skill. The one is photo-realistic rendering to realize accurate image like photos and the other is real-time rendering to realize rapid real-time render. This paper includes caustics expression about lights and materials of several photo-realistic rendering skills. First this paper analyzes how caustics is used and expressed in movies, and further realizes caustics effect using real renderer. This paper examines objective criterion and capability of plug-in through the objective experiment of renderer. Also this paper analyzes using environment on variables for caustics effect realization. The experimental results can be applied to many rendering works as useful data, and can be used as data to understand characteristic and capability
A Study on the Image Expression Technique Analysis of Television News Programs - Mainly on the Image Expression of Camera Reporter and VJ -

The purpose of this case study is to understand the characteristics and implication of videojournalist's image expression techniques in the television news programs, comparing with television camera reporter's image expression techniques. Texts chosen in this thesis are 120 programs of KBS2TV 'News Time' which had been on air from July to December in 2005. Shot size, camerawork, shot duration and camera angle of the images were analysed, which had been extracted through the processes of thematic classification. The results of the analysis of thematic classification shows us that videojournalist covered mainly social, economic and cultural news items, almost completely alienated in the fields of hard news as political and health-scientific news items which were very sensitive and influential on the life of the entire people of the nation. The results of the analysis on the characteristics of image expression reveals that videojournalist used one-shot more often than the camera reporter, showing us videojournalist's preference of close news gathering, and videojournalist used following and zooming much more often than camera reporter, showing us videojoumalist's preference of mobile and dynamic cameraworks, and videojournalist used low angles more often than camera reporter, also showing us videojoumalist's preference of candid camera style news gathering.
