Topology information can be constructed hierarchically in the networks and the process of aggregating topology information is known as TA(Topology Aggregation). It is very important for scalability in networks. In paticular, routing and TA algorithm are very much elements on networks performance in private networks to networks interface. Therefore, in this paper, we designed and implemented routing simulator for TA in private networks to networks interface. And we evaluated and analyzed the existent TA algorithm using the implemented simulator. The implemented simulator can be used valuably to developing TA algorithm.

The Journal of the Korea Contents Association, volume 7, issue 5, 2007, Pages 16~26
DOI : 10.5392/JKCA.2007.7.5.016
Because it is difficult on existing document retrieval systems to visualize the search result, search results show document titles and short summaries of the parts that include the search keywords. If the result list is long, it is difficult to examine all the documents at once and to find a relation among them. This study uses clustering to classify similar documents into groups to make it easy to grasp the relations among the searched documents. Also, this study proposes a two-level visualization algorithm such that, first, the center of clusters is projected to low-dimensional space by using multi-dimensional scaling to help searchers grasp the relation among clusters at a glance, and second, individual documents are drawn in low-dimensional space based on the center of clusters using the orbital model as a basis to easily confirm similarities among individual documents. This study is tested on the benchmark data and the real data, and it shows that it is possible to visualize search results in real time.

Implementing Automated English Error Detecting and Scoring System for Junior High School Students
Kim, Jee-Eun ; Lee, Kong-Joo ;
The Journal of the Korea Contents Association, volume 7, issue 5, 2007, Pages 36~46
DOI : 10.5392/JKCA.2007.7.5.036
This paper presents an automated English scoring system designed to help non-native speakers of English, Korean-speaking learners in particular. The system is developed to help the 3rd grade students in junior high school improve their English grammar skills. Without human's efforts, the system identifies grammar errors in English sentences, provides feedback on the detected errors, and scores the sentences. Detecting grammar errors in the system requires implementing a special type of rules in addition to the rules to parse grammatical sentences. Error production rules are implemented to analyze ungrammatical sentences and recognize syntactic errors. The rules are collected from the junior high school textbooks and real student test data. By firing those rules, the errors are detected followed by setting corresponding error flags, and the system continues the parsing process without a failure. As the final step of the process, the system scores the student sentences based on the errors detected. The system is evaluated with real English test data produced by the students and the answers provided by human teachers.

From several commercialized games the technique of changing facial expressions is imported, and a design method of a game character for the player's empathy is expected to be diversified in the future. In this paper, as a design method of a game character for the player's empathy, this makes walking motion for the game character applied with 'human-emotion' factors as statistics variation of a game character in RPG genre. After this paper implements analyzed emotions of human facial expression and walking motions applied with emotion in examples of character animation theory, this paper divides walking motion applied with human-emotion factors into 8 types through relationship to statistics factors in RPG genre. And then these are applied to a knight character, which has the most similarity with human's physical feature of the game characters in RPG genre, and makes walking motion as variable statistics. As a game player controls the game character applied with 'human-emotion' factors, the effect of the player's empathy about the game character becomes higher, and the level of immersion in game play is also expected to increase.

The motion capture system has shown its great potential as a new image expression means for handling such challenging tasks as realistic animation of humans or animals in motion, which cannot be handled by the existing key frame method satisfactorily, and also projects involving a large scale or a burdensome economic expenses. Its applications also has been intensified and widened in the entertainment arena including motion pictures, TV, advertisements, documentaries, music videos, etc. centering around games. Despite of these merits, though, a number of issues have been surfaced in the digital image expression utilizing the motion capture system, such as a burdensome amount of preparatory work, the needs for attachment of markers and for remedial corrections of motion data, and the lack of trained manpower. We would like to present in this paper a new direction for making the digital image production more efficient, based on the extensive analysis of prior image production projects that used the motion capture system.

The Journal of the Korea Contents Association, volume 7, issue 5, 2007, Pages 102~109
DOI : 10.5392/JKCA.2007.7.5.102
This is an analysis study about the pictorial frame of Georges Schwizgebel's animation "The Subject of Picture", focusing on Deleuze's frame theory. First of all, the shapes in the frame of the animation is the representation of the tactile sensation from the erased vestiges of the characters. It shows the metamorphosis of the erased vestiges of the shapes by Deleuze's sensibility theory. Besides, the layout of the animation's background has similar property with the aplat which was mentioned by Deleuze. It means that the background of the animation correspond to the aplat which is other boundary different from reality, and the character which has the minimum embodiment about the object makes the shape newly through the distortion of the shape. Secondly, as the problem of frames in terms of the continuity of time, the meaning in Schwizgebel's animation is created by the relation between each frame. It means that the depiction of the shape itself by the composition between each frame is composed of the frame. Eventually, Schwizgebel's work is the animation which has the characteristic of the modem cinema and is the crystal depiction that deviates from rules and logics of the object which was mentioned by Deleuze.

Digital cinema industry in Korea is developing very fast. It makes the structure of Korea film industry being changed with outstanding D.I process, reduction of production cost, the convenience of distribution & screening and easy transferring to other platforms. The main reason of this fast development is due to Korea film industry monopoly structure by a few companies. In addition, Huge Korea mobile communication companies are pushing Digital cinema industry to go faster with their own net work and platforms. However, Korea digital cinema industry still has problems like standardization in releasing, the lake of data in post-production and overuse in production. It is the time that we have to think about best way for the healthy development of Korea digital cinema industry more than the fast development of it.

The Journal of the Korea Contents Association, volume 7, issue 5, 2007, Pages 146~155
DOI : 10.5392/JKCA.2007.7.5.146
Since the beginning of the 21st century, the power source for the growth of our country is shifting from the 'knowledge and information'-centered business to the culture-based business attaching importance to 'creativity'. In the era of creative culture-based economy, the core resources on which the national competitive power depends can be thought to be 'cultural contents'. The current ubiquitous project, which is being promoted in our country, is characteristically placing much emphasis on building-up of the RFID-centered infrastructure so that it is poorly acknowledged by common people to whom its service is actually provided. In this study, the approach to promotion of the cultural service, to which an easy access is available as a result of combining the ubiquitous-based technology with 'cultural contents', is discussed in the 4 aspects.

The Journal of the Korea Contents Association, volume 7, issue 5, 2007, Pages 156~165
DOI : 10.5392/JKCA.2007.7.5.156
The concepts of static seat allocation model has been used widely in the air transportation industry, and proven as a good concepts for managing perishable assets. The paper analyzed, in realistic environment, the volume of Accept Demand and Reject Demand through several times' simulation experiments at each fare level by using C-Program analyzing process applied to upward and downward models of demand, to analyze the change of fare level when upward and downward shifts of fare levels' demand happen at once. As a consequence, I concluded that the revenue of the case to consider the both shifts of demand at each fare level is bigger than that of the case to consider the single shift of demand at each fare level, except the case to downsize the seat allotment at very low price when supply is bigger than demand, with developing a general model concerned with plural fare levels.

A social trend can change market trend because it influences on consumer's lifestyle. Therefore the trend has been considered as an important factor for planning and producing new items. If a new trend occurred, its impact on market needs to be examined. Recently, well-being became top global issue and it caused many changes on packaged food products. This study focuses on measuring the impact of well-being trend on package design. The range of products for this research is limited to packaged food product selling in discount stores because it is main category to show well-being trend. Generally, good package design generates impulsive buying at the point of purchase. Colors on packages are critical point for good product design and they are also reflecting social trend to meet their consumers' psychological desires. After gathering basic information from market research, several colors had been selected and classified. For providing specific evidences result from the trend, the role of four major colors have been compared and analyzed. Finally, questionnaire had been handed out to trendy consumers to reach consensus on well-being color.
