Stereo Sound Demixing Method in Time-Frequency Domain

This paper presents a new demixing method that separates each source from a stereo sound mixture. Under the W-Disjoint Orthogonal assumption in DUET(Degenerate Unmixing Estimation Technique) algorithm. The proposed method is mainly processed in time-frequency domain by using windowed-fourier transform. In this paper there are two main contributions: a weighted mask by panning index distances and a binary mask by comparing each channel value. The former has tender demixing characteristic, and the latter has stronger demixing characteristic. In experimental results, we will show that both masks produce more robust demixing than the existing demixing methods do.
Case Study of CRM Application Using Improvement Method of Fuzzy Decision Tree Analysis

Decision tree is one of the most useful analysis methods for various data mining functions, including prediction, classification, etc, from massive data. Decision tree grows by splitting nodes, during which the purity increases. It is needed to stop splitting nodes when the purity does not increase effectively or new leaves does not contain meaningful number of records. Pruning is done if a branch does not show certain level of performance. By pruning, the structure of decision tree is changed and it is implied that the previous splitting of the parent node was not effective. It is also implied that the splitting of the ancestor nodes were not effective and the choices of attributes and criteria in splitting them were not successful. It should be noticed that new attributes or criteria might be selected to split such nodes for better tries. In this paper, we suggest a procedure to modify decision tree by Fuzzy theory and splitting as an integrated approach.
Design and Implementation of File System Using Local Buffer Cache for Digital Convergence Devices

Due to the growth of embedded systems and the development of semi-conductor and storage devices, digital convergence devises is ever growing. Digital convergence devices are equipments into which various functions such as communication, playing movies and wave files and electronic dictionarys are integrated. Example are portable multimedia players(PMPs), personal digital assistants(PDAs), and smart phones. Therefore, these devices need an efficient file system which manages and controls various types of files. In designing such file systems, the size constraint for small embedded systems as well as performance and compatibility should be taken into account. In this paper, we suggest the partial buffer cache technique. Contrary to the traditional buffer cache, the partial buffer cache is used for only the FAT meta data and write-only data. Simulation results show that we could enhance the write performance more than 30% when the file size is larger than about 100 KBytes.

Recently, Embedded systems are different with the past as loading of a simple application program that executed specific functions according to the use and are evolved in the digital convergence integrated multimedia functions and then the complication of the application program is remarkably increased. This application program is combined and evolved with many application program in accordance with the demand of the age. For develope and manage this developing application is necessary standardized interface between developer and manager. POSIX was developed as the standard of the operating system in the standard interface which has the open system structure in computing system, and there is a posix.4 to standard for the system demands the loading of real-time operating system like a digital convergence devices. In this paper, we present the contents of designing and implementing the real-time operating system UbiFOSTM to wrapper for supporting the POSIX.4. Modeling for Implementation of a BCI System

BCI system integrates control or telecommunication system with generating electric signals in scalp itself after signal acquisition. This system detect a movement of EEG at real time, can control an electron equipment using a generated signal through EEG movement or software-based processor. In this paper, we deal with removing and separating artifacts induceced from measurement when brain-computer interface system that analyzes recognizes EEG signals occurred from various mental states. In this paper, we proposed a method of EEG classification and an artifact interval detection using bisection mathematical modeling in the EEG classification process for BCI system implementation.
Design and Implementation of Filtering Management Scheme for Synchronization in the Realtime RFID Middleware System

We design a filtering management scheme with synchronization function under a realtime RFID middleware system for larger-scale data processing. The application interface(AI) is to support a various access protocol, HTTP, XML, JMS, and SOAP for the RFID applications. Generally, the synchronization problem is occurred in multiple accessing of clients for single filtering file. In this paper, we implement a filtering management scheme supporting the synchronization using the filter management process, and then demonstrate the RFID middleware filtering scheme.
Performance Optimization Technique for Overlay Multicast Trees by Local Transformation

Overlay Multicast is an effective method for efficient utilization of system resources and network bandwidth without a need for hardware customization. Multicast tree reconstruction is required when a non-leaf node leaves or fails. However frequent multicast tree reconstruction introduces serious degradation in performance. In this paper, we propose a tree performance optimization algorithm to solve this defect by using information(RTCP-probing) that becomes a periodic feedback to a source node from each child node. The proposed model is a mechanism performed when a parent node seems to cause deterioration in the tree performance. We have improved the performance of the whole service tree using the mechanism and hence composing an optimization tree. The simulation results show that our proposal stands to be an effective method that can be applied to not only the proposed model but also to existing techniques.
Effective Network Management Using Mobile Agents Based on Split Management Policy

The traditional centralized network management method using the SNMP has problems, such as, increase of communication traffic and severe bottleneck phenomena at the specific manager-node caused by a frequent polling mechanism. Several mobile agent based network management methods have been studied to solve and overcome these problem. However, in these mobile agent based methods, as the number of nodes to be managed is increased, the mobile data are increased accumulatively and the effectiveness of the network management is decreased. In this paper, we propose the split management method by using mobile agents to handle these problems. In our method, the nodes are divided into groups to be handled by separate mobile agents. Each mobile agent visits its own nodes and gets management information from them. We demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed method using experimental results.
Development of Mobile Game Content through Interoperability between Wired and Wireless - Focused on Interoperability Types -

The mobile content which adopts the subject matter of wired online game with interoperability element is in service. This is one of the plans which are the possibility of benefiting wired online game in game industry. In this paper, interoperability method of game content between wired and wireless classifies this with three branches and it tries to analyze the interrelationship of the interoperability element and interoperability types adopted in many wired online games. And, the development of interoperability server is composed of mobile server which takes charge of I/O process of mobile device and game server records all information of users in the game. With developing the content which is suitable in specific game(Ran-Online), this paper presents the development method of game content through interoperability between wired and wireless.

Online game industry is also making much efforts in developing games that have emotional disposition which is rapidly growing by the increase of emotional demand by the user. In the online game development that induces immersion stimulating the emotion of the human has the evaluation stage it must surely pass, and in this stage, emotional evaluation system is known as the evaluation method that one can verify the function, usage and human emotion desire of the game before its launching. Nevertheless, at this situation the studying result is absent in the verification of efficiency and validity of the emotional evaluation system, this study is to work on the availability and validity of the emotional evaluation system as the evaluation tool of the game comparing with the Jakob Nielsen's evaluation system through common user group which are the subjects.
Surveillance System Using Person Tracking in Mobile Platform

In this paper, we propose a surveillance system using multi-person tracking in a WIPI based mobile system, which is the standard wireless internet platform. The proposed system consists of two subsystems: the person tracking system and the mobile information transmission system. The person tracking system tracks persons who invade security and the mobile information transmission system sends the tracking results from the person tracking system to the user's mobile phone. In this paper, the person tracking system tracks persons who appear on many cameras with non-overlapping views in order to achieve a wider view. The mobile information transmission system saves automatically tracked data to the owner's web server and transmits the saved data to the user's WIPI mobile phone. Therefore, whenever the user wishes to view tracked data later, the mobile system can provide the user with the tracking results by either the user selecting particular cameras or the time on the owner's mobile phone. The proposed system is a new surveillance system that transfers tracked data among cameras to the user's mobile phone in order to overcome space limitations in tracking areas and monitoring areas and spatial limitations in monitoring hours.

On Production System by One-Person Production System in Broadcasting Program Production

The one-person producing system is that planning program, arrangements, composition, taking pictures and edition are all done by only one person. In the reality of the producing systems of the broadcasting programs, as the number of the broadcasting stations, which apply one-person producing systems, is gradually increasing, the study on the change is going on. In this study I grasped the merits and demerits of both systems ; multi men producing system and one-person producing system. And then I analyzed the sudden change of the method of the producing programs into one using the 6m digital camera. The merits of producing programs by means of the 6m digital cameras are following ; the mobility of producing programs, a close contact with the source, the enlargement of the diversity of the contents and cutting down expenses. The demerits of it are following ; a lowering of the degree of completion and the unstableness of an image. Nowadays because of the enlargement of the rate of the outsourcing production, the number of the independent production studios rapidly increased. From the viewpoint of cutting down expenses and the diversity of contents, the number of broadcasting programs produced by means of one-person producing broadcasting program system is increasing.

While films today offer spectacle to the viewers due to the advanced technique, the "Modern Cinema"-a term named by Deleuze- offers spectators an opportunity to think about what they observe and to have various filmic experiences through the shifting of time image within the film narrative, which has been rather neglected as it is just a form in the realm of classic narrative. Originally the shifted time image was a result of thinking about the identity of a film. But it has self-reproduced over and over, and now it has turned into one of cliches that narrative films take. In this sense, a Korean Melodrama "Sarang-ni" is discriminated from other films which take twisted time image as a convention. The film "Sarang-ni", instead of adopting established shifted time image, put us to the confused time arrangement and then it amazingly arouses emotional effect which it initially meant to convey. This journal analyzes how the time representation of
operates in the film's narration, and consequently how the form affects the storytelling.

In 3D animation rendering process, Although we can render the output as a movie file format, most productions use image sequences in their rendering pipelines. This Image Sequence rendering process is extremely important step in final compositing in movie industries. Although there are various type of making image rendering processes, TGA format Is one of most widely used bitmap file formats using in industries. People may ask TGA format is most suitable for in any case. As we know 3D softwares have their own image formats. so we need to testify on this. In this paper, we are going to focus on Alias' 3D package software called MAYA which we will analyze of compressing image sequence, Image quality, supporting Alpha channels in compositing, and Z-depth information. The purpose of this paper is providing to 3D Pipeline as a guideline about effective image sequence format.

The rapid development of 3D computer graphics makes traditional cell-animations expressed by several digital techniques and makes traditional cell-animations expand their own area through several continuous tries. There are two types in rendering method. The one is Photorealistic rendering to realize accurate images like photos and the other is Non-photorealistic rendering to realize human's flair and artistry. This paper examines applications of cartoon rendering techniques among several Non-photorealistic rendering techniques. This paper analyzes production cases and examines features of cartoon rendering techniques in the latest movies, games and advertisements of image contents. And this paper will be able to help making more sensual, familiar and in-depth products, as understanding applications, merits and demerits of the latest cartoon rendering techniques through these investigations.
Study about Set Design for Scene of Animation : Case of Short Animation

Subject of this Study is focused on set design for short animation, GHOST, made and presented by animation studio, BEYOND PROSCENIUM. Sets in animation have several functions. First, sets are a playground that character can play to lead a story. Second, sets explain background, which is time and space. Third, sets can visualize metaphorical meaning or symbolic system in animation. To obtain final design that is sufficient to those functions, this study analyzes the case that metaphorical and symbolic meaning from scenario is how to apply into set design also, mentions the method that designer multiply considers character, property and composition from the camera and movement from those elements. Set designers for animation should have ability that simultaneously considers so many elements and they need design skills to create it.

As present generation live in the age of feeling after been through age of need or age of want, we analyzed Signification based on consumer psychology, sociocultural variation. Based on above, we first built basic modeling from a regular triangle by
proportion and then approached to substantial modeling of products that enable us to distribute and sell. Furthermore, we built recycle modeling which enables us to create a variety of forms with joy after using products. This means a lot to us in terms of package modeling creation from sans code. Besides, we studied on not only materialistic or functional value of package modeling, but also appropriate semiotics that enable psychological and sociocultural function of package modeling to respond to consumer identity.
Trend of City-brand Slogans in Korea and Solutions for Their Development

As part of city marketing, many local governments are recently developing or have already developed a slogan for their own city brand. This study aims to provide basic source materials for an efficient and more systematic way in current development of the slogan for a city brand. Therefore, this study compared and analyzed the cases for developing the slogan for a city brand in Korea and in other nations, presenting some feasible solutions. As for the characteristics of the slogans for city brands in Korea, they were all campaign-type slogans with a single-component structure that includes the city's name. They mostly used values as their subject material. The basic requirements for producing a successful city-brand slogan include the emphasis on the quality of being unique and differentiated. A city-brand slogan must incorporate the kind of natural environment, the culture, the history, etc that are unique to the region in order to become a creative and unique slogan. Rather than being swayed by short-term trends, a city-brand slogan must have a long term vision and strategy as well as a clear and accurate setup. Also, a city-brand slogan will proliferate and create values as a brand when shared communications with all local residents continue to occur after developing the slogan.
Fun Labor and User Identity of Virtual Worlds

Virtual world is the 3D graphical interactive environment that networked by electronic communications. Virtual Worlds offered flow experience for a long time to their users. They blur the boundaries of work and play, so bring out the concept of Fun Labor. If we can accept the principle of equivalence between Fun Labor and Real Labor, the Fun Labor may be one of the solutions of the large unemployment problem in the information society. And the Fun Labor is the new type of labor that corresponds the subjectivity of users who want interesting experience as much as they spend money and times. This situation means that the users of Virtual worlds are structuring the identities as the Residents who act the Fun Labor. It'll be very important to examine the social effects of this situation.

Due to the growth of female movement after 1970s' and the resultant interest in female activity changed the type and degree of female crime and thus led to considerable interest and research. As a result, the relative difference between crime rates of sexes has been reduced, but the crime of male and female has been considerably decreased owing to sex role and concept of self-ego, more generally specking, the result of female movement. As countermeasure for the recently increasing frmale crime, this research presents first, enhancement of social education; second, arrangement of relevant institutions; third, activation of the system of female investigator; fourth, the necessity of victimology approach.
Issues Surrounding Capital Gain Tax and Reasonable Development Plan

Capital gain comes from the transfer gain which is occurring by transferring assets except inventory assets. Our government recently has made capital gain tax on real estates and imposed as classified income tax by including it into aggregate income so that provide function of tax and curb property speculation. However the present income tax law imposes capital gain tax on capital profit including real estate and securities, while this law and the special tax treatment control law implement non-taxation and tax exemption too widely. That is to say, the system of capital gain tax can hinder the fair tax because it has various exemption terms including the non-taxation principle on a house for a family and the special tax treatment law. And also it has a problem in the sense of equity because it imposes tax by progressive tax rate on the subjects of capital gain tax considering them as the profit of that year, which were transferred, so there is difference between the income which has been made for a long time and the income made for a short time even in the same capital gain. Therefore this study identifies some issues surrounding the present capital gain tax system and focuses on presenting reasonable development plan.
Types of Special Educational Technology Contents for Children with Disabilities

The special educational technology is the combination term of special education and educational technology. These days, the applications of educational technology in special education field is very increasing through the development of IT and the progress of teaching methods. The development of IT bring out the applications of assistive technology. The various development and operation strategies of the individualized educational program have promoted the advancement of teaching methods for the children with disabilities. The purpose of this paper is to inquiry and to present the applicable contents of special educational technology for the children with disabilities. The important study problems of this study are to examine the differences between educational technology and special educational technology, to categorize special educational technology in the view of application and to develop the contents of instructional design and assistive technology device. Finally it is to suggest the progress tasks for the development of the special educational technology.
Exploring Pedagogical Potential of UMPC with Small Group Study in Elementary School

The portability and immediate communication properties of mobile devices such as UMPC influence the learning processes in interacting with peers, accessing resources and transferring data. This study explores the pedagogical potential of UMPC, being utilized in inquiry-based learning process in elementary school setting. Inquiry-based teaming, offering a powerful option for occasional projects and lab activities, is a style particularly well-suited for out-of-school programs because they have a freer hand to complement, enhance, and expand on the work that children are doing in their K-12 classes. A set of questionnaires measuring the level of interest and class achievement were answered by the students before and after the inquiry-based science class in elementary school. Statistical results show that most of the students prefer UPMC-based class to the traditional class. Some guidelines for effective UPMC-based class are also provided.
Design and Application of Web Contents for Integrated Programming Language Course

There have not been integrated courses for education of C and Java programming languages in most universities. Based on similarities and uniqueness and the previous lecturing of each language, we designed and made an integrated programming course. In this paper, we introduce the web-based contents which make the successful and effective application of the new course. The web-based contents consist of the main page, the course materials, the auxiliary materials, and the bulletin board, and supports a variety of practices with the examples. From the application of the web-based contents to the practical lectures, we notice that understandability, satisfaction, and the programming skills of students significantly increase comparing to that of the previous respective courses.
Characteristic Analysis of Major Issues in Negotiating Concession Agreement for BTO Projects Using AHP

Both competent authorities and private entrepreneurs face plenty of risks when negotiating BTO(Build Transfer Operation) methods of PPI(Private Participations in Infrastructures) projects. Also, success and failure of projects largely depend on the concession agreement contract. In this study, for more efficient negotiation, major issues are examined, and quantitatively analyzed to find out not only the relationship but also the characteristics of which these issues share. Questionnaire research was conducted through both research and by experts who were divided into an ordering agency, design company and constructor. Characteristics of major issues were quantitatively analyzed using the Likert index method, ANOVA(ANalysis of VAriance) and AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) analysis. Case studies were examined in order to estimate construction cost, rates of return, government finance support, level of operation-revenues guarantees, estimating operational costs and usage fees. With these 6 items, relative priority, relative impression which is sensible to risk and extent of difficulty in presenting data which is objective were quantitatively analyzed by the ordering agency, design company and constructor groups. From the analysis, there were some similarities between the design company and constructor groups while there was less of similarities between the ordering agency and design company or constructor. The government is diversifying the methods of project promotion, and PPI project from infrastructure-centered to public culture facilities are being expand. The current study will provide not only supporting efficient negotiation but also revitalizing PPI projects.
Relationship of Salesperson's Lifestyle, Selling Behaviors and Job Satisfaction in Retailing

The purpose of this study is to analyse the effects of salesperson's lifestyle, selling behaviors on strategic management of salesperson. So this study not only examines differences in the salesperson's lifestyle, selling behaviors and job satisfaction but also analyses the impact of salespersons' lifestyle and selling behaviors on job satisfaction. The results of this study are summarized as follows. First, the result of analyzing differences in the lifestyle according to the characteristics of sex, age, academic background income is no significant difference. Second, the result of analyzing differences in the selling behavior according to the characteristics of sex and marriage is significant difference. Third, the result of analyzing differences in the job satisfaction according to the characteristics of store type is significant difference. Salesperson working at the exclusive agencies is most high job satisfaction. According to the result of examining the relationship between salespersons' lifestyle and the selling behaviors, job-oriented lifestyle has positive effects on the customer orientation and hospitality orientation. Finally salespersons' job satisfaction is positively affected by the job-oriented lifestyle and hospitality-orientation selling behavior.
