DOI : 10.5392/JKCA.2009.9.12.001
A doll created by various materials is a miniature based on human model, and it has been one of components in a puppet show to take some responsibility for human`s culture activity. However, demand and supply keeps on the decrease in the puppet show industry, since professional puppeteer has been reduced rapidly, and also it is difficult to initiate into the skill. Therefore, many studies related Robotic Marionette for automation of puppet show have been internationally accompanied, and more efficient structure design and process development are required for better movement and express of puppet with motor based controller. In this research, we suggest the effective way to enable to express the marionette`s motion using motion data based on motion capture and 3D graphic program, and through applying of 3D motion data and proposal of simulation process, it will be useful to save time and expenses when the Robotic Marionette System is practically built.

The Journal of the Korea Contents Association, volume 9, issue 12, 2009, Pages 10~18
DOI : 10.5392/JKCA.2009.9.12.010
Color rendition method is necessary for improving the low contrast images which are achieved by PDA, mobile phone camera or PC camera. There are some methods for color rendition. However, after correcting the color, image quality degradations, such as graying-out, halo-artifact and color noise, may occur. In order to overcome these problems, this paper proposes a retinex-based color rendition method. The proposed method uses the HSV color coordinate system to avoid the graying-out, and the advanced image formation model to reduce the halo-artifact in which the image is divided into three components as the global illumination, the local illumination, and reflectance. The experiment results show that the proposed method yields better performance of color correction over the conveniently method.

DOI : 10.5392/JKCA.2009.9.12.019
The service that has recently come into the spotlight utilizes the map to first approach the map and then provide various mash-up formed results through the interface. This service can provide precise information to the users but the map is barely reusable. The sketch-map system of this paper, unlike the existing large map system, uses the method of presenting the specific spot and route in XML document and then clustering among sketch-maps. The map service system is designed to show the optimum route to the destination in a simple outline map. It is done by renovating the spot presented by the map into optimum contents. This service system, through the process of analyzing, splitting and clustering of the sketch-map`s XML document input, creates a valid form of a sketch-map. It uses the LCS(Longest Common Subsequence) algorithm for splitting and merging sketch-map in the process of query. In addition, the simulation of this system`s expected effects is provided. It shows how the maps that share information and knowledge assemble to form a large map and thus presents the system`s ability and role as a new research portal.

DOI : 10.5392/JKCA.2009.9.12.031
The objective of this paper is to propose the bus information system that provides bus passenger number. Recently, we use a bus conveniently through introduction of bus information system offering location-based information. However, we need additional information for decision making in order to use a bus comfortably. To do this, first, we analyzed the needs of providing passenger number; second, we adopted GPS and RFID type`s transportation card to get location and passenger number. Finally, we implemented the system displaying that information by three types, and tested it. Our proposed system has advantages to use a bus comfortably and to manage a bus efficiently by providing bus passenger number which is the important element for decision making as well as location based information provided by existing bus information systems.

The Journal of the Korea Contents Association, volume 9, issue 12, 2009, Pages 52~63
DOI : 10.5392/JKCA.2009.9.12.052
The problem of scheduling simply periodic task systems upon a uniform multiprocessor is considered. Partitioning of periodic task systems requires solving the bin-packing problem, which is known to be intractable (NP-hard in the strong sense). This paper presents a global scheduling algorithm which transforms a given simply periodic task system into another using a "task-splitting" technique. Each transformed simply periodic task system is guaranteed to be successfully scheduled upon any uniform multiprocessor using a partitioned scheduling algorithm. It is proven that the proposed algorithm achieves the theoretical maximum utilization bound upon any uniform multiprocessor platform.

Recently, the ubiquitous environment and the practical technology associated with it become more popular topic along with the rapid development of wireless technologies. The necessity of the automated system based on the ubiquitous environment has been increasing when the concept of the ubiquitous is integrated into the fields of existing IT. Also, the necessity of formulating a power-saving plan on large buildings and public institutions is gathering strength because of a raise in exchange rates and high oil prices. In this paper, to efficiently manage the power consumption of the electronic machine such as electric lights, electric heaters, and air conditioners in a building, power-saving manage- ment system using RFID/USN technologies is proposed. Proposed system controls the electric machine and monitor it`s condition by RFID and collects the real time information about the surrounding and the power consumption of the electric machine by USN. Especially, proposed system analyzes the real time information and supports the intelligent scheduler with the best power-saving. Finally, this paper shows the difference between proposed system and existing system and establishes thereality of our system through experiments in variety environments.

The Journal of the Korea Contents Association, volume 9, issue 12, 2009, Pages 77~85
DOI : 10.5392/JKCA.2009.9.12.077
As the multimedia technology has become in popular, many software packages that are for using those multimedia contents have also been developed. Directshow is a media framework which makes the development of such multimedia software simple, quick and regular process. In the Directshow, data are processed through the connections between filters. In general, Filtergraph is utilized to be set as `Intelligent Connection` for filter connection. However, when we use this `Intelligent Connection` option, they can show non-expected results or fail to connect with filter`s pins together. So in this paper, we propose non-necessary filter cut-off method for connecting only just wanted filters. There are two methods such as inner filter cut-off method and outer filter one. The inner filter cut-off method is good at connection`s compatibility and able to quickly connect with each other filter. But in the outer filter cut-off method, filter source is not necessary and connection is exactly done with other filter. In the end, we propose Directshow based filter cut-off model which compose of wanted filter connection and minimize error probability, through mixing up the advantages of two filter cut-off methods.

The Journal of the Korea Contents Association, volume 9, issue 12, 2009, Pages 86~93
DOI : 10.5392/JKCA.2009.9.12.086
In this paper, we propose a method that generates a sketch likely to be drawn by a human from a real image(a computer generated image or a photo image). The method can create human friendly images with pen strokes by using image processing techniques such as spatial filters. In order to create the human friendly image, first, we made the tiny unnecessary contours. Second, we made the second image by inverting the first image and performed a processing similar to the first processing. Last, we subtracted the second image from the first image and added a hatch to it. The sequence of processing enables us to generate a human friendly image with line shading, likely to be sketched by water pen compared to the past method(pencil hatching and sketch effects). Also the proposed method can represent the sketch effects more effectively with applying different hatch to the shading area of a input image.

As an advance in medical technology development is being made, and people are increasingly aware of the importance of health, related investments and people`s average life expectancy rise, which in turn leads to an increase in elderly people. Also, with a growing number of elderly people enjoying their leisure activities, the utilization of multimedia contents using computers is on the increase, leading to an activated research into the establishment of digital culture for the elderly people. This paper proposes a Korean text input system to enable the elderly to utilize digital contents. Text input interface has conventionally depended on keyboards. However, the keyboard wherein many keys are dispersed creates problems for the elderly, such as a protracted recognition of keys and a lowered concentration when they use the keyboard. To address these problems, in this paper, the grip type controller interface for console games was used and a corresponding alphabet location algorithm was developed. To verify these efforts, a simulator was developed to test 20 elderly people; as a result, their satisfaction over and convenience of using the grip type interface increased.

The Journal of the Korea Contents Association, volume 9, issue 12, 2009, Pages 113~120
DOI : 10.5392/JKCA.2009.9.12.113
Currently the verbal abuse in text message over on-line game is so serious. However we do not have any effective policy or technical tools yet. Till now in order to cope with this problem, the online game service providers have accumulated a set of forbidden words and applied this list on the textual word used in on-line game, which is called `Swear filter`. But young on-line game players easily avoid this filtering method by coining another words which is not kept in the list. Especially Korean is very easy to make new variations of a vulgar word. In this paper, we propose one smart filtering algorithm to identify newly coined profanities. Important features of our method include the canonical form transformation of coined profanities, semi-global alignment between in the level of consonant and vowel units. For experiment, we have collected more than 1000 newly coined vulgar words in on-line gaming sites and tested these word against our methods. where our system have successfully filtered more than 90% of those newly coined vulgar words.
Analysis on Montage der Assoziation Shown in the Animation <Paprika>
Lim, Woon-Joo ;
The Journal of the Korea Contents Association, volume 9, issue 12, 2009, Pages 121~129
DOI : 10.5392/JKCA.2009.9.12.121
This research tries to interpret Montage der Assoziation shown in animations. Eisenstein`s `Montage` is "Montage der Assoziation" where a variety of Montage pieces are combined, symbolizing one aggregate image. Though influenced by Russian Formalist Film Theory and Kuleshov, Pudivkin and Rudolf Amheim, by contraries, he recognized Montage as an issue between an artist and the audience and an anti-representation apparatus. Especially, he developed the mind action issue previously advocated by Eikhenbaum and deemed the audience`s role an essential part in completing a film. Montage expression implied in Eisenstein`s theory can be regarded as attraction, collision, and dynamic and intellectual Montage. However, with an in-depth approach, Montage der Assoziation can be interpreted by repetitive, relative and juxtaposed analysis. The reason is that animation Montage is a visual action which takes place in a row among scenes and in the frame. This research addresses communications with the audience which are attained by Montage der Assoziation. In other words, this research makes an in-depth access to how Montage der Assoziation appears and communicates with the audience in an animation work.

DOI : 10.5392/JKCA.2009.9.12.138
Humanism connotes dignity and esteem with the essential idea of human and more human. This paper has conducted a inquiry of the understanding about human and humanism represented by visual image of film. Especially, this study investigated the way to adhere to reflective attitude about human and society. It is based on theoretical discussion of formalism and auteurism and analyzed the way of constructing time-space structure of
(by Lars von Trier) which is known the typical formalism film. According to the findings,
appeared to appropriate the ocularcentrism aesthetic to film form and give the self-regulation to definite the idea of film art through picturesque imagination of dramatic stage. Such a result means that it converts the filmic time-space to the virtual things and practicalize the classification of the ethical doctrine of innate goodness and innate sin of human and the definition of humanism. Also it means formalism film overturns the existing institutional mode of representation.

The Journal of the Korea Contents Association, volume 9, issue 12, 2009, Pages 146~153
DOI : 10.5392/JKCA.2009.9.12.146
Thanks to computer graphic technology development, graphic design programming is easily accessible by any home computer user today since it is free from the burdens of complicated 알고리듬 or the expensive graphic tools that were required in the past. The term 알고리듬 2.5 is commonly used by computer graphic designers to refer to 2D, a form of pseudo-3D. In this study, by using 2.5D, which was previously utilized for strengthening visual effects and engine efficiency, together with Adobe Photoshop along with After Effects, I will incorporate these into motion graphics. Today, motion graphics dominate the advertisement and image markets. Since viewers have developed higher expectations, a more dynamic 3D space graphic technology is preferred over the outdated 2D basis. In this study, I will produce a 2.5D image which is generated through a vanishing point filter of Adobe Photoshop and After Effects based on still image information and captured at an angle of Axonometric Projection. Also, I will compare the effectiveness of the production process and camera angle flexibility between the previous 3D process and new 2.5 D process.

Use of Pansori for Developing Actor`s Aesthetic Voice
Lee, Ki-Ho ;
The Journal of the Korea Contents Association, volume 9, issue 12, 2009, Pages 181~192
DOI : 10.5392/JKCA.2009.9.12.181
The purpose of this research is to investigate appropriate usage of pansori`s method of breathing, sound making, and resonance in order to develop actor`s aesthetic voice. Today`s theatre no longer see inter-cultural approach as new or experimental, but see it as a part of global current. Actors are required to integrate some global-ness into their acting. It`s not enough, however, for actors to equip some cosmopolitan sensibility. More important thing is that they should be able to integrate one`s own culture and aesthetic into their performance. Only after acquiring one`s own cultural identity, it is possible to step into inter-cultural work. It is fundamental, therefore, for actors to assimilate traditional movement and aesthetic voice. It`s been known that traditional Korean voice traits are well preserved in Pansori. In this paper, based upon well-known theories and practices of western voice training, pansori`s principles and practices are utilized to bring a new aesthetic voice.

The Journal of the Korea Contents Association, volume 9, issue 12, 2009, Pages 212~221
DOI : 10.5392/JKCA.2009.9.12.212
In this thesis, for analysis of efficient semantics flow frameworks with creative designing of interaction, we propose three elements: coincidence with intuition and common sense, self-leading activeness, and diversity of control parameters. Through analysis of my interactive art works, it is shown that the three proposed qualitative measures for interactive flow analysis are very useful evaluation measures for efficient semantics flows of interactive art works. In the experiments for this analysis, we measured the duration of each action-response feedback, the enjoyment duration of each entire art work, and the number of different types of interactions. The proposed qualitative measures can be used to design models for new interactive art works, as well as for the evaluating framework for existing art works.

The Journal of the Korea Contents Association, volume 9, issue 12, 2009, Pages 245~252
DOI : 10.5392/JKCA.2009.9.12.245
The electrical power industry has been recognized as a natural monopoly industry for its technological and industrial characteristics. However, a competitive market system has been introduced to that industry in Europe, North America and Australia to overcome the inefficiencies originated from the monopolistic system for decades. In Korea, the power industry is expected to be placed in a competitive market system within several years after separation and privatization of vertically integrated industry in progress. Hence, there is a need for a research on the increase of customer value in that industry, however, existing studies have little dealt with that problem and there is no research on the price policy to consider churn and retention of customers. Therefore, this study provides a methodology for increasing customer loyalty and lifetime value by presenting the lowest pricing plan which leads to diminishing customers` cost. It is verified through an empirical examination that firms can enhance customer loyalty using a price element in that industry and maximize their profit by finding out customers whose lifetime values would increase.

Gold stock could include the U.K. in the European economy by the alternative plan of the problems that it was occurred while nationalizing industry and a company for economic recovery and national profit after the World War Ⅱ and it was wide and came to open in the country of European most. However, the negation was sentenced to it for the reason of the gold stock which the U.K. adopted in European many countries infringing "freedom of the capital movement" at a European court of law. However, I consider gold stock positively to protect it from hostile M&A of the company of the national strategy from the Middle East and an Asian national rich fund recently in France and Germany. If our country looks straight at reality, Urstatut or the agreement of the majority stockholder have a very strict matter assuming the protection of the existing shareholder and must be able to gain the favor if you look by the flow of such world economy.

The Journal of the Korea Contents Association, volume 9, issue 12, 2009, Pages 270~278
DOI : 10.5392/JKCA.2009.9.12.270
Most of previous studies on civil servants` stress factors and job satisfaction have been focused on low job satisfaction caused by stress from role relations and human relations. In case of fire officers, however, their stress is expected to be influenced by their unique job characteristics such as risk, urgency, stand-by, and shift. Thus, this study divided fire officers`stress factors into job-related factors (risk, urgency, stand-by, alternation) and role-related factors (role conflict, role ambiguity, role overload), and empirically analyzed how these factors affect their job satisfaction. According to the results of this study, fire officers` job characteristics and their roles in the organization had a significant effect on their job satisfaction. Particularly, among the job-related factors, urgency and stand-by had a positive effect on job satisfaction, and among role-related factors, role conflict and role overload had a negative effect on job satisfaction. In addition, fire officers` stress and job satisfaction were significantly different according to their job (fire fighting, rescue and first aid, fire administration, others), and according to their workplace (fire fighting headquarters, fire station, 119 safety center).

The Journal of the Korea Contents Association, volume 9, issue 12, 2009, Pages 339~347
DOI : 10.5392/JKCA.2009.9.12.339
Purpose : This study was to investigate the influence of heart rate and coronary calcification on diagnostic accuracy of 64-slice multidetector CT(MDCT) in coronary artery disease. Methods : 178 patients(84 men, 94 women) undergoing cardiac CT were included in this study. 3 coronary arteries(LAD, LCX, RCA) were assessed the presence of significant stenosis(
) and the results compared with those of coronary angiography. Results : On a patient-based analysis, the diagnostic accuracy of 64-slice MDCT was 96.6%. The diagnostic accuracy on left anterior descending, left circumflex, right coronary artery were 86.5%, 84.3%, 92.1% respectively. Body mass index and blood pressure were not influenced on diagnostic accuracy of 64-slice MDCT. In less than 60/min of heart rate, accuracy was 90.1% and
value was 0.78. While in more than 70/min of heart rate, accuracy was 75.8% and
value was 0.52. In less than 100 of coronary calcification, accuracy was 91.3% and
value was 0.81. While in more than 400, accuracy was 68.6% and
value was 0.33. Conclusion : 64-slice MDCT shows similar diagnostic accuracy as coronary angiography. But in the context of more than 70/min of heart rate and 400 of coronary calcification, diagnostic accuracy was decreased. So there needs to identify heart rate and coronary calcification in cardiac CT, and if heart rate shows more than 70/min, use beta-blocker to regulate it.

The Journal of the Korea Contents Association, volume 9, issue 12, 2009, Pages 385~390
DOI : 10.5392/JKCA.2009.9.12.385
The Pneumatic Reduction and VCUG (Voiding Cystourethrography) are commonly used in the paediatric age group. The procedures had a particularly long fluroscopic screening time, despite a successful outcome for paediatric patients. Pneumatic Reduction and VCUG almost invariably requires fluoroscopic guidance which does confer a radiation dose. This article contains suggestions on how the radiation dose to paediatric patients from Pneumatic Reduction and VCUG can be made "as low as reasonably achievable" (ALARA). The aim of our study was eliminated in spot image applying the FluoroGrab, which has function of capturing an image of interest area from the picturing while fluoroscopic procedures. FluoroGrab has clinical value equivalent to the spot image, and is applied to the most recent fluoroscopic procedures. The radiologist and the radiographers should consider new option for decreasing the radiation exposure delivered to paediatric patients by making equipment modifications to the fluoroscopy to optimize radiation exposure reduction techniques. Thus, we propose the FluoroGrab instead of spot exposure for the reduction of patient exposure dose in paediatric, and try to confirm the effect of the mitigating amount of radiation exposure to paediatric patients when pneumatic reduction and VCUG. Fluorograb is the safe and useful method that shows the equivalent level of accuracy to spot exposure, and to minimize the radiation load to paediatric patients are to be the substitute for the spot exposure for Pneumatic Reduction and VCUG.

The purposes of the present investigation was to evaluate the effects of loaded and unloaded swimming stimulation after central nerve system injury in the rats. SCI model rats were damaged in L1-L2 injected with 6-OHDA. The twenty one Sprague-Dawley adult male rats weights(
) were randomly divided into control group and 2 swimming groups and then swimming groups divided into 15 minute unloaded swimming group and 15 minute loaded swimming group by swimming intensity. Behavioral Change was evaluated by the BBB(Basso, Brestti, Brenahan) scales test and the maximal angles of the inclined board on which the rat could maintain its intial position for the progressive locomotor recovery. Using enzyme-linked immunosolbent assays(ELISA), we measured concentrations of brain-delived growth factor(BDNF) in serum after swimming. There was significant change of BBB scores in control group as compared to unloaded swimming group and loaded swimming group(p<.05), and unloaded swimming group were significantly higher than loaded swimming group(p<.05). The maximal angles of the inclined plane test were higher in the unloaded swimming group and loaded swimming group than the control group(p<.05), and loaded swimming group were significantly lower than unloaded swimming group(p<.05). There were singnificant difference of concentration of BDNF in serum change in each group(p<.05). The results suggest that swimming applied from the early phase after spinal cord injury may be beneficial in the early recovery of motor function.

The Broadcasting Law amended in January 2007 declared to adopt universal right to view(known more widely as Universal Access Right, UAR), the right to access broadcasting programs on such major sports or other events that are likely to catch the gaze of the public television viewers. Then its implementation rule was issued in February 2008, and under the regulations the Committee of Ensuring Universal Access Right has been established, where detailed action measures and guidelines are currently in the process of preparing. However, it is no question that an effectiveness of the implementation system of Universal Access Right presupposes sufficient amount of discussion and social consensus. At present, the major focus in this issue is on the matters including which type of events is subject to UAR and what criteria are desirable in determining which broadcasting company has priority. In this context, this study aims at identifying implications for policy by examining the precedent cases of Europe, Australia, and other countries, where UAR is enacted and implemented. Further, this study tries to draw up a specific scheme for ensuring universal right to view through conducting a survey on public television viewers. We will include specific guidelines for selecting events of public attention, criteria for selecting broadcasting companies regarding priority, and relevant operating rules regarding relayed broadcasting.

DOI : 10.5392/JKCA.2009.9.12.459
While Korean allows the same consonants at the coda of the preceding syllable and at the onset of the following syllable, English does not allow the geminate consonants in the same intervocalic position. Due to this difference between Korean and English, Korean learners of English tend to incorrectly produce geminate consonants for English geminate graphemes as in
. Based on this observation, a pilot study was designed to investigate how Korean learners of English perceive and produce English doubleton graphemes and singleton graphemes. Twenty Korean college students were asked to perform a forced-choice perception test as well as a production test for the 36 real word stimuli which consist of (near) minimal pairs of singleton and doubleton graphemes. The result showed that the accuracy rates for the words with singleton graphemes were higher than those for the words with doubleton graphemes both in perception and production because the subjects misperceived and misproduced the doubleton graphemes as geminates due to orthographic influence. In addition, the low error rates of the word with voiced stops were accounted for by Korean language transfer. Further, spectrographic analyses were provided where more production errors were witnessed in doubleton grapheme words than singleton grapheme words. Finally, pedagogical implications are provided.

DOI : 10.5392/JKCA.2009.9.12.467
As web technology and educational environments are in rapid progress, web-based cooperative learning systems have gained a lot of interests. Recently some studies have attempted to combine a learning system and simple games that enable learners to actively participate and have high interests in learning. These studies are based on TGT model, a cooperative learning model using games, and mostly remain system design levels. A few implemented systems have many problems because they focus only on pure TGT model. To solve these problems, this paper builds a extended TGT model and a new web-based cooperative learning system using this new model. The extended part contains ideas such as expert learning from Jigsaw II model, improvement scores from STAD model and making game problems by learners. A system using pure TGT model and a suggested system are implemented and used by two classes of middle school students to evaluate our system. The experimental results show that our system outperforms the other system.

Recently, fire monitoring application systems have been an active research area due to the safety of industries, historical monuments and so on. The fire monitoring application systems can reduce the damage of properties by providing earlier warning for possible fire situation. However, the existing systems have a drawback that they detect fire with delay due to their uniform epoch in fire detection algorithm. Moreover, they do not provide user-friendly graphical user interfaces in their fire monitoring systems. To resolve the problems, First, we propose a new fire detection algorithm (Early Fire Detection Fire Algorithm) which uses the distribution of sensing data for early fire detection. Our fire detection algorithm is better in terms of fire detection time than the existing work because it can set a start time of fire detection epoch dynamically based on data distribution. Second, we develop a fire monitoring application system which provides users with both a user-friendly graphical user interface and a fire alarm message when fire occurs. Finally, we show from our experiment that our developed system is effectively used for early fire warning in a variety of fire situations.

IEEE 802.11n is an ongoing next-generation WLAN(Wireless Local Area Network) standard that supports a very high-speed connection with more than 100Mb/s data throughput measured at the MAC(Medium Access Control) layer. Study trends of IEEE 802.11n show two aspects, enhanced data throughput using aggregation among packets in MAC layer, and better data rates adapting MIMO(Multiple-Input Multiple-Output) in PHY(Physical) layer. But, the former doesn`t consider wireless channel and the latter doesn`t consider aggregation among packets for reality. Therefore, this paper analyzes data throughput for IEEE 802.11n considering MAC and PHY connection. A-MPDU(Aggregation-MAC Protocol Data Unit) and A-MSDU(Aggregation-MAC Service Unit) is adapted considering multi-service in MAC layer, WLAN MIMO TGn channel using SVD(Singular Value Decomposition) is adapted considering MIMO and wireless channel in PHY layer. Consequently, Simulation results shows throughput between A-MPDU and A-MSDU. Also, We use Ns-2(Network simulator-2) for reality.

Recently, the importance of IPTV providing multimedia service over IP based networks managed to provide the required level of quality of service and experience, security, interactivity and reliability has been gradually increasing by the commercialization of its service. However, the original purposes of IPTV service - contents are produced and consumed anytime, anywhere, and over any device at the same time - have not been satisfied by service providers because most services offered by service providers depend on closed IPTV platform. In this paper, we propose an open IPTV service platform that an individual or small company can easily produce contents and offer IPTV service independently from the existing closed IPTV platform.. The proposed IPTV platform exploits overlay multicast scheme to offer reasonable service under the environment where network bandwidth and processor resource are limited. It also uses CDN-like scheme to ensure the quality of transmitted contents. The performance evaluation shows that the proposed IPTV platform has the possibility of being an open IPTV platform considering its results such as the quality of transmitted contents, the transmission rate, the channel zapping time, and so on. It also shows that proposed IPTV platform could be applied to real IPTV service with continuous enhancement of its functions and user interfaces.

In this paper, we proposed an effective multicast causal order algorithm with hand-off protocol for mobile networks. Since the size of control informations needed to enforce message transfer order has much influence on the performance of hand-off and message transfer in mobile networks, size of control information need to be minimized. We reduced the size of control information by analyzing all the valid communication patterns and pruning redundant information not required to enforce causal order as early as possible, and used hand-off protocol which requires minimal amount of control information to be transferred. By simulation, we found that the proposed algorithm showed better performance than other existing algorithms.

There is increasingly interested in the measurement of antenna`s characteristics for one`s manufacture according to one`s various application. Due to this, the antenna measurement system need be made with more and more great precision. On measuring of the antenna`s characteristic, the conventional system handled by human generates the error due to controlling the position of the system by user. Therefore there need be introduced the automatic measurement system of antenna`s characteristic. In this paper, we propose antenna extraction algorithm for the Antenna automatic measurement system of antenna`s characteristic. The proposed algorithm gets the antenna image from antenna measurement system, extracts an antenna object from the image, and extracts the parameters for antenna`s slant and antenna`s location. The extracted parameters is used to correct location and distortions of the antenna and automatic measurement. The proposed algorithm is applied to the patch antenna. The results show that antenna`s object is efficiently extracted and the angle for correcting the error is calculated well.

DOI : 10.5392/JKCA.2009.9.12.556
In this paper, we propose a CAD software framework to automatically generate a shop drawing. Shop drawing is to draw the geometric figures representing an arrangement of steel bars for a concrete building on its structural design, based on its construction specifications and the design rules, and its well-formed process lead to be automated. A key point of the design automation is to minimize the user interactions by automatically recognizing the design specifications and to finally generate the shape of the geometric figures. The graphic pipeline of the proposed framework consists of four stages; a specification DB, specification extraction, binding, and rendering. To effectively extract all specifications only for a figure from the DB and bind them to its shape, we use a hierarchical approach; the specifications are classified into three common, structural, and figure classes, and each attribute is extracted in design phases. Based on our framework, we implemented a specialized CAD for shop drawing using AutoCAD and could easily update it according to user`s demands.

In this paper, microstrip bandpass filter combined DCRLH metameterial-cells with a hairpin resonator is designed and fabricated to be transferred only fundamental passband signal, and removed a spurious resonant mode occurring when filter design using a microstrip transmission line is done. The bandpass filter is composed of CCRLH hairpin resonator and DCRLH interdigit metameterial-cells. The hairpin resonator with CCRLH property is implemented between two DCRLH interdigit metameterial-cells with DCRLH property, which is parallel to input port and output port. The interdigit metameterial-cells suppress spurious harmonics occurring on the higher order frequency and improve a filter performance. Insertion loss of the fabricated microstrip bandpass filter on the passband from 1.91GHz to 2.41GHz is 0.2dB, and attenuation on the stopband from 3GHz to 7.7GHz is bellower than -30dB. Therefore, this filter has a good performance for both mobile communications of WCDMA and wireless internet of WiBro.

Study on the class using XMI Meta model and XML MetaDats has significant difference from the method of Data creation which is widely used. Most of MXL System are focusing on the editor funcition, Database connection and Generation of Markup language. Unlikelly, however, this study has focused on the creation of Markup language of Class MetaData which are extracted from MXI data modedl. In addition to that, the attribute of unit element within the class and the relationship between the classes within the model were set to be given and expressed respectively. For the generation of Markup language, XML schema was used to declare the detail data type.

The pyramid graph is an interconnection network topology based on regular square mesh and tree structures. In this paper, we adopt a strategy of classification into two disjoint groups of edges in regular square mesh as a base sub-graph constituting of each layer in the pyramid graph. Edge set in the mesh can be divided into two disjoint sub-sets called as NPC(represents candidate edge for neighbor-parent) and SPC(represents candidate edge for shared-parent) whether the parents vertices adjacent to two end vertices of the corresponding edge have a relation of neighbor or shared in the upper layer of pyramid graph. In addition, we also introduce a notion of shrink graph to focus only on the NPC-edges by hiding SPC-edges in the original graph within the shrunk super-vertex on the resulting graph. In this paper, we analyze that the lower and upper bound on the number of NPC-edges in a Hamiltonian cycle constructed on
respectively. By expanding this result into the pyramid graph, we also prove that the maximum number of NPC-edges containable in a Hamiltonian cycle is
-2n+7 in the n-dimensional pyramid.

In this paper, I explain the design and implementation of an automated drawing system by communicating with a user. I made a system providing an UI for virtual environmental actual robot to interwork with environment to make a drawing that I was able to read work, and to help convenience of a user in computers. The UI of a system was used the AWT(Abstract Window Toolkit) in NetBean tools. To draw images, I got image information from SVG vector files. This system can make images according to the demand of users by using real-time communication. Also this kind of drawing process can be an artists performance, not only the final image as a result of the work. So I suggest that this real-time drawing process which is operated by user’s command can be considered as an artists performance.

Except for traditional industrial art and history of design development, Korea jewelry industry before 1980`s, had little meaning in the aspect of marketing and business. Domestic jewelry market which have changed from the value of goods to value of ornaments, faced important transition point for jewelry industry by the chance of in Asian Game held in 1986, and money of overseas traveler after 1980s. The rapidly-grown Jewelry field by the introduction of detail casting method to make it possible mass-production of the products before 1990`s, began to change into new system, with introducing CAD/CAM after 1990`s. Jewelry industry has changed from manual work called handmade to the detail casting industry based on master for mass-production. For this, the development of master, with the design development, have been suggested as important task to jewelry industry firms, and by the introduction of CAD/CAM, the diversification of design and master development has been made up. In this study, we would try to find out current status of domestic jewelry field and to understand CAD/CAM, and advantage of CAD/CAM, and through this, suggest good solution to precipitate domestic jewelry market.

Modern figurative work is designed to have more creativity and characteristic traits by pure thought of the formative ceramic arts. In compliance with the demand which is various the design development could be satisfied an individuality and a taste is become accomplished. In this view, this study looks over expressive aspect of Cubism to present partition as a independent formative ceramic arts is able to contribute emotionally to our whole lives. In this procedure, this work is produced to express a three-dimensional effect and a spatial effect, approaching a figurative side. This is to overcome the limitation of Cubism art expressed in a two-dimensional surface in spite of its multi-dimensional observation of a given object. Accordingly, this study tries approaching pre-understanding of expressive aspect of Cubism which was the important turning-point in 20c art and expansion of the modern ceramic art field before producing the work. This study shows the possibility to become a creative and practical ceramic art work, approaching the new point of view breaking from the established conception. Consequently, the field of ceramic art could be expanded to a part of modern ceramic art as an object of study in art of life.

The use of cone-beam computed tomography(CBCT) has been proposed for guiding the delivery of radiation therapy. A kilovoltage imaging system capable of radiography, fluoroscopy, and cone-beam computed tomography(CT) has been integrated with a medical linear accelerator. A standard clinical linear accelerator, operating in arc therapy mode, and an amorphous-silicon (a-Si) with an on-board electronic portal imager can be used to treat palliative patient and verify the patient`s position prior to treatment. On-board CBCT images are used to generate patient geometric models to assist patient setup. The image data can also, potentially, be used for dose reconstruction in combination with the fluence maps from treatment plan. In this study, the accuracy of Hounsfield Units of CBCT images as well as the accuracy of dose calculations based on CBCT images of a phantom and compared the results with those of using CT simulator images. Phantom and patient studies were carried out to evaluate the achievable accuracy in using CBCT and CT stimulator for dose calculation. Relative electron density as a function of HU was obtained for both planning CT stimulator and CBCT using a Catphan-600 (The Phantom Laboratory, USA) calibration phantom. A clinical treatment planning system was employed for CT stimulator and CBCT based dose calculations and subsequent comparisons. The dosimetric consequence as the result of HU variation in CBCT was evaluated by comparing MU/cCy. The differences were about 2.7% (3-4MU/100cGy) in phantom and 2.5% (1-3MU/100cGy) in patients. The difference in HU values in Catphan was small. However, the magnitude of scatter and artifacts in CBCT images are affected by limitation of detector`s FOV and patient`s involuntary motions. CBCT images included scatters and artifacts due to In addition to guide the patient setup process, CBCT data acquired prior to the treatment be used to recalculate or verify the treatment plan based on the patient anatomy of the treatment area. And the CBCT has potential to become a very useful tool for on-line ART.)

In recent, the ships of the Republic of Korea have been suffered from acts of piracy at the seas. With the increase of the threats from the acts of piracy and armed robbery against ships, some of the countries have dispatched their navy warships to the international waters and to carry out military operation against the pirates. However, the total eradication of the piracy has not been achieved due to the lack of international cooperation and the limitation of the international maritime convention itself. In addition, the absence of counter-measures to be taken by the ships itself including the employment of the professional maritime security forces should not be overlooked. In this connection, this paper examined the reality of the piracy together with armed robberies at the seas and the problems in the response were also analyzed. Based on the research, it suggested some possible measures with special reference to the private security. The limitation of this paper is that it only focus on the aspect of the private security. In this paper, the cooperation among the countries according to the maritime convention and internationally accepted norms and practices. To achieve the goals of this paper, through the comparative review of the related literatures, the practical measures applicable to the prevention of the piracy were suggested.

The electronic commerce keeps going through a tremendous growth since the latter half of 1990`s. But the consumer damages are being increased from characteristics such as non-confrontation, anonymity, internationality, unilaterality and possibility of temptation. Accordingly, this thesis has derived legal and systematic improvements for consumer protection in general as follows. First of all, it is necessary to extend the period to exercise the subscription withdrawal rights according to electronic commerce consumer protection law. Second, the electronic commerce has high possibility of causing errors by consumers because it is performed by non-confrontation and the accurate information must be provided to prevent errors in advance because it is not easy for consumers to prove their own errors. Third, a certification mark system on electronic agreement has to be adopted. Fourth, the legal, systematic and technological measures have to be adopted to prevent from having a sense of fear toward leaking or using personal information through a safe personal information management. Fifth, a strict supervision on internet trust mark is required. Finally, because the intervention or interference by a third party may take place through a hacking on messages or documents sent according to procedure in terms of online settlement, it is necessary to raise security on the system through a precise authentication between concerned parties.

We need education program and contents that satisfy on-off line`s education maximize an initiative spirit development in an absence of UI design for infants and elementary students. For the multiplicity of inflection of these initiative spirit development education program, we need development of contents and teaching materials(Cre-kids) that can educate both in on-line and in off-line. Cre-kids are divided of four areas that are increased fluency, flexibility, originality and delicacy. Four areas are ideas of language, visual, making and computer. Through each area, we can develop children`s systematic modeling idea ability. And we divide of fluency, flexibility, originality and delicacy each four areas and evaluate each aspect and mark for index. That is CDQ(Creativity Design Quotient). Through the evaluation result, we will be able to study about a modeling initiative spirit index.

DOI : 10.5392/JKCA.2009.9.12.900
This paper analyzes user preferences on the basic structure of digital textbook contents based on the PDF and HTML formats. This was conducted by analysing the data from an online survey on user preferences for the representative structures of the PDF- and HTML-based digital textbook contents that are currently used on the Web. Results show that in the PDF format, the structure with TOC(Table Of Contents) links on the left screen and the main content on the right was most preferred by 82% of the respondents. In terms of the viewing method, the one that presents one page of the textbook fitted to the width of the computer screen in a single-page view was regarded as the best. Similarly, in the HTML format, the structure with TOC links on the left frame and the main content on the right using 2-frames was revealed as the most preferred by 84% of the respondents. However, the structures of the PDF- and HTML-based digital textbook contents employed by most existing Web sites go against the users` preferences. Accordingly, for digital textbook development in the future, user preferences must be considered to allow students to read the contents more easily and conveniently.
