ANALYSIS ON THE PHOTOMETRIC ORBIT OF DI PEGASI

The photometric orbital elements of an Algol-type eclipsing variable, DI Pegasi, are derived by means of Fourier transforms from two-color photoelectric observations. The system shows a long term variation of its orbital period, which is interpreted as due to a continuing mass loss mechanism from the secondary component. Physical dimensions and a model of the system are also suggested here.
A Simple Method for Conversion of the Lunar into Solar Calendar

A simple method for solar-lunar calendar conversion is obtained by means of Meton period for the convinience of the date conversion in the study of the old records of astronomical observations in Korea.
Supernovae from ancient Korean observational records

1. 28 candidates of novae and supernovae were selected from ancient Korean observational records. 2. 4 Supernovae were confirmed. 3. 1 guest star was suspected as the original explosion of Cas A. 4. 9 asterisked positions were suggested for further study in the hope of finding additional supernovae-radio sources.
A study on the acceleration of the HI gas clouds around the star clusters Pleaides and h and x Persei

By comparison and analysis of the optical data of the two galactic clusters of Pleiades and h and x Persei and the radio data of the HI gas clouds which are related with those two clusters, the relative motions of those gas clouds with retpect to the two clusters were obtained. The three theories on the acceleration of HI gas cloud surrounding a star cluster by Blaauw. Oort and Spitzer, and Kahn were examined with the above obtained kinetic data of the Pleiades and the h and x Penei clouds. And it was shown that Blaauw's theory is applicable to the h and x Persoi clouds but not to the Pleiades, that Dart and Spitzer's theory can explain the motions of both clouds, and that Kahn's theory needs more improvement to be a complete one.
