Sensor-based Alert System applying Expert System for Performance Improvement

These days news about natural disaster caused by earthquake, typhoon is broadcasted frequently. At this moment, structure' healthy is threatened by natural disaster, only way to minimize the casualties and property damage is doing accurate alert. In this research, I designed Expert system to reduce wrong-alert and elevate the accuracy. The expert system put many sensors close to each other as a one group. We focus on elevating reliability of monitoring system by comparing each nearby sensor's state not one single sensor. Providing accurate data which can decide safe to structure manager can minimize current damage by early response, also has advantage that can prevent additional damage can be occur in the future.
The Compressed Instruction Set Architecture for the OpenRISC Processor

To achieve efficient code size reduction, this paper proposes a new compressed instruction set architecture for the OpenRISC architecture. The new instructions and their corresponding formats are designed by the profiling information of the existing instruction usage. New 16-bit instructions and 32-bit instructions are proposed to compressed the existing 32-bit instructions and instruction sequences, respectively. The proposed instructions can be classified into three types. The first is the new 16-bit instructions for the frequent normal 32-bit instructions such as add, load, store, branch, and jump instructions. The second type is the new 32-bit instructions for the consecutive two load instructions, two store instructions, and 32-bit data mov instructions. Finally, two new 32-bit instructions are proposed to compress function prolog and epilog code, respectively. OpenRISC hardware decoder is extended to support the new instructions. Experiments show that the efficiency of code size reduction improves by an average of 30.4% when compared to the OR1200 instruction set architecture without loss of execution performance.
Rule-based Speech Recognition Error Correction for Mobile Environment

In this paper, we propose a rule-based model to correct errors in a speech recognition result in the mobile device environment. The proposed model considers the mobile device environment with limited resources such as processing time and memory, as follows. In order to minimize the error correction processing time, the proposed model removes some processing steps such as morphological analysis and the composition and decomposition of syllable. Also, the proposed model utilizes the longest match rule selection method to generate one error correction candidate per point, assumed that an error occurs. For the purpose of deploying memory resource, the proposed model uses neither the Eojeol dictionary nor the morphological analyzer, and stores a combined rule list without any classification. Considering the modification and maintenance of the proposed model, the error correction rules are automatically extracted from a training corpus. Experimental results show that the proposed model improves 5.27% on the precision and 5.60% on the recall based on Eojoel unit for the speech recognition result.
Complex Cell Image Segmentation via Structural Feature Information

We propose a new marker driven Watershed algorithm for automated segmentation of clustered cell from microscopy image with less over segmentation. The Watershed Transform is able to segment extremely complex objects which are highly touched and overlapped each other. The success of the Watershed Transform depends essentially on the finding markers for each of the objects of interest. For extracting of markers positioning around center of each cell we used radial symmetry and iterative voting algorithms. With synthetic and real images, we quantitatively demonstrate the performance of our method and achieved better results than the other compared methods.
Object Detection Using Predefined Gesture and Tracking

In the this paper, a gesture-based user interface based on object detection using predefined gesture and the tracking of the detected object is proposed. For object detection, moving objects in a frame are computed by comparing multiple previous frames and predefined gesture is used to detect the target object among those moving objects. Any object with the predefined gesture can be used to control. We also propose an object tracking algorithm, namely density based meanshift algorithm, that uses color distribution of the target objects. The proposed object tracking algorithm tracks a target object crossing the background with a similar color more accurately than existing techniques. Experimental results show that the proposed object detection and tracking algorithms achieve higher detection capability with less computational complexity.
Maximum Height and Velocity of Jumping Car in The Air

An free-fall object is received only force of gravity. Movement that only accept gravity is free-fall movement, and a free-falling object is free falling body. In other words, free falling body is only freely falling objects under the influence of gravity, regardless of the initial state of objects movement. In this paper, we assume, ignoring the resistance of the air, and the free-fall acceleration by the height does not change within the range of the short distance in the vertical direction. Under these assumptions, we can know about time and maximum height to reach the peak point from jumping vertically upward direction, time and speed of the car return to the starting position, and time and speed when the car fall to the ground. It can be measured by jumping degree and risk of accident from car or motorcycle in telematics.
An Improved Asterias Amurensis Recognition Method Based on Morphological Characteristics Analysis Techniques

The population of highly prolific, predatory Asterias amurensis is growing sharply from year to year along the coastline of Korea, a nation surrounded by water on three sides. To make matters worse, the fact that Asterias amurensis devours living fish and shellfish has caused a heavy loss for fishermen involved in the aquaculture industry. What it all boils down to is the significance of technologies allowing one to recognize Asterias amurensis individuals using underwater images for the purpose of exterminating Asterias amurensis or identifying a change in the population of Asterias amurensis or the migration route of Asterias amurensis. An improved Asterias amurensis recognition method based on the morphological characteristics of Asterias amurensis was proposed in this paper. The proposed recognition method aimed at cases marked by the lack of extraction information on concaveness and convexity, which are the morphological characteristics of Asterias amurensis. Extracting all the characteristics of Asterias amurensis from images taken underwater is very difficult. In this respect, the proposed recognition is effective in terms of recognizing individuals in a diversity of Asterias amurensis images. As a result of the experiment, Our proposed method has achieved superior performance with 92.5% than other method.
An Efficient SIP Messages Control in Distributed Conference Model

In this paper, We have proposed an efficient SIP(Session Initiation Protocol) messages control which can be used to reduce conference servers load in distributed conference model. Each conference participant can control the amount of event notification messages from the conference server in real time according to its processing capacity and network circumstances. And the amount of SIP messages needed to maintain session with the conference servers can also be controlled actively in our system. The amount of SIP messages which should be processed by the conference servers can be reduced largely by using our suggested method. Therefore the conference system can be more easily expandable and total network traffic can be reduced largely in SIP environment. We have suggested new conference event packages and conference information data model with some added elements that are necessary for efficient SIP messages control. The performance of the proposed system has been evaluated by experiments.
Mutual Authentication Protocol based on the Random Divided Session for the Security of Medical Information in Home-Health

In this paper, we design a mutual authentication protocol which divided sessions from an authenticated session are updated periodically. And in order to minimize the traffic overhead for session authentication, we also introduce dynamic session management according to sampling rate of medical sensor type. And randomize the divided session time. This model has the effect of blocking the integrity and confidentiality intrusion of rogue gateway. Moreover, efficiency is provided through medical data to be transmitted have different sampling rate. In order to evaluate this model, it was embodied and experimented in TinyOS 2.1 environment. The result, we got an overall validity from three types of experiment.
An Effective addressing assignment method and Its Routing Algorithm in Smart Grid Environments

In this paper, we proposed the efficient addressing scheme for improving the performance of routing algorithm by using ZigBee in Smart Grid environment. In a 16-bit address space and the network size of a few thousands, it is very unlikely to suffer from frequent address collisions. In response, we propose an elegant (x, y, z) coordinate axes addressing scheme from divided address space of 16 bit and its routing algorithm. One of disadvantages of (x, y) coordinate axes addressing, however, is that any router may not hold as many children as proposed, since sensor nodes tend to be connected to a geographically nearby router. We also present an adaptive routing algorithm for location-aware routing algorithms, using our addressing scheme. As a result, each node was reduced not only bitwise but also multi hop using the coordinate axes while routing and the effective address assignment and routing is to minimize the average energy consumption of each node in the network.
A Design and Implementation of modified ZigBee using the Directed-Messaging for Energy Efficiency Improvement

ZigBee is the low power, low cost and low data rate wireless personal area network(LR-WPAN) standard. The Directed-Messaging is the protocol which improves the energy efficiency through reducing the redundant message transmission by transmitting messages with directional information toward the specified sub-network area in wireless sensor network using broadcasting. In this paper, we design and implement the experimental grid sensor network using ZigBee modified by the Directed-Messaging for the energy efficiency improvement. The experimental sensor network in this paper is configured with Nano24 supporting the ADV message and the routing management module modified to use the directional information. The energy efficiency improvement of the experimental sensor-network by evaluating the experimental results according to transmitting ADV message.
Suffix Array Based Path Query Processing Scheme for Semantic Web Data

The applying of semantic technologies that aim to let computers understand and automatically process the meaning of the interlinked data on the Web is spreading. In Semantic Web, understanding and accessing the associations between data that is, the meaning between data as well as accessing to the data itself is important. W3C recommended RDF (Resource Description Framework) as a standard format to represent both Semantic Web data and their associations and also proposed several RDF query languages in order to support query processing for RDF data. However further researches on the query language definition considering the semantic associations and query processing techniques are still required. In this paper, using the suffix array-based indexing scheme previously introduced for RDF query processing, we propose a query processing approach to handle
-path query which is the representative type of semantic associations. To evaluate the query processing performance of the proposed approach, we implemented two different types of query processing approaches and measured the average query processing times. The experiments show that the proposed approach achieved 1.8 to 2.5 and 3.8 to 11 times better performance respectively than others two.
An Efficient Dynamic Workload Balancing Strategy

Identifying user requirements efficiently and reflecting them on the existing system is very important in a rapidly changing web and mobile environments. This study proposes the strategies to refining requirements and to prioritizing those refined requirements for changing of web and mobile application based on user requirements (e.g. mobile application comments, Q&A, reported information as discomfort factors). In order to refining the user requirements, those requirements are grouped by using the advancement of the software business of the Forum of standardization and the existing configuration-based programs. Then, we mapped them onto the PIECES framework to identifying whether the refined requirements are correctly reflected to the system in a way of valid and pure. To determine the priority of refined requirements, first, relative weights are given to software structure, requirements and categories of PIECES. Second, integration points on each requirement are counted to obtain the relative value of partial and overall score of a set of software structural requirements. In order to verifying the possibility and proving the effectiveness of proposing technique in this study, survey was conducted on changing requirements of mobile application which have been serviced at S University by targeting 15 people of work-related stakeholders.
Schema Mapping and Data Conversion System for Integrating Article Metadata

We devise data conversion methods and implement schema mapping and conversion system based on the study on research paper metadata characteristics analysis. Data conversion in unified form from databases of various systems is necessary for big data analysis. Legacy data conversion systems have drawbacks of syntax dependent problem and inconvenience for use. The implemented system, which is specialized system for research paper metadata, has easy schema mapping interface and can convert data with various syntax. In addition to that, Recompiling of the system is not necessary even if new schema which is not preregistered in the system comes in. We proved its usefulness by usability evaluation.
A Study on the Harmonizing media for E-learning service in Smart Environment

The learners using learning content through the smart devices can access to the Internet from anytime and anywhere. However, with the rapid increase of learning content on the Web, it will be time-consuming for learners to find contents they really want to and need to study. Therefore, e-learning systems should not only provide flexible content delivery, but support adaptive harmonizing fusion content. The harmonizing fusion content it is a very important in fusion e-learning service. The representative method to provide synchronization between fusion content is a provide absolute time value between of the contents. However, this method is occurs a problem transferring time delay. Also, to enter an absolute time value for the duration of the each content is several problems arise. In this paper introduces a new smart e-smart service support the harmonizing media based technology to create synchronized learning presentation.
Short-term Mortality Prediction of Recurrence Patients with ST-segment Elevation Myocardial Infarction

Recently, the cardiovascular disease has increased by causes such as westernization dietary life, smoking, and obesity. In particular, the acute myocardial infarction (AMI) occupies 50% death rate in cardiovascular disease. Following this trend, the AMI has been carried out a research for discovery of risk factors based on national data. However, there is a lack of diagnosis minor suitable for Korean. The objective of this paper is to develop a classifier for short-term relapse mortality prediction of cardiovascular disease patient based on prognosis data which is supported by KAMIR(Korea Acute Myocardial Infarction). Through this study, we came to a conclusion that ANN is the most suitable method for predicting the short-term relapse mortality of patients who have ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction. Also, data set obtained by logistic regression analysis performed highly efficient performance than existing data set. So, it is expect to contribute to prognosis estimation through proper classification of high-risk patients.
The Extended k-opt Algorithm for Traveling Salesman Problem

This paper suggests traveling salesman problem algorithm that have been unsolved problem with NP-Hard. The proposed algorithm is a heuristic with edge-swap method. The classical method finds the initial solution starts with first node and visits to mostly adjacent nodes then decides the traveling path. This paper selects minimum weight edge for each nodes, then perform Min-Min method that start from minimum weight edge among the selected edges and Min-Max method that starts from maximum weight edges among it. Then we decide tie initial solution to minimum path length between Min-Min and Min-Max method. To get the final optimal solution, we apply previous two-opt to initial solution. Also, we suggest extended 3-opt and 4-opt additionally. For the 7 actual experimental data, this algorithm can be get the optimal solutions of state-of-the-art with fast and correct.
Are Coffee Breaks Good for Performance?: A Perspective on Non-Work-Related Activities

The purpose of this paper is to investigate non-work relating activities at work. To do this, this paper proposes and analyzes a simple theoretical model consisting of factors such as non-work relating smartphone usage during working hours, non-work relating coffee break during working hours, work after working hours, and job performance. Our findings are revealed as following: First, non-work-related coffee break has positive effect on performance. Second, non-work-related smartphone usage generally has negative effect on performance, but it has positive effect on performance in personal communication with co-workers. Third, work after working hours has negative effect on performance.
A Study on Factors Affecting of Multicultural Families Adolescents's School Resilience for The Multicultural Policy Implications

This study observed how school resilience of adolescents from multi-cultural families was influenced by risk factors and protective factors. Furthermore, this study verified which protective factor moderated factor to exert positive influence on school resilience. The results showed that risk factors negatively influenced school resilience and protective factors positively influenced school resilience with statistical significance. The results showed that 'high self-esteem' moderated 'negative rearing attitude', 'positive attitude' moderated 'negative rearing attitude' and 'parent conflict', whereas 'teacher support' moderated 'negative rearing attitude' to significantly increase school resilience. The study suggested a measure that can reduce risk factors to increase school resilience of children from multi-cultural families according to the moderation relationship between protective factors and risk factors.
A Study on the Educational Training Evaluation Model - Focusing on Call Center

Call Center requires an ability of agents a lot more than face-to-face contact due to being achieved communication by non face-to face channel for contact with customers. In order to improve the ability of agents, Call Center carries out various educational training according to their work experience and function and with the accomplishment of educational training, Call Center is going to fulfill to develop its quality of counseling and productivity. On the other hand, due to investment of a lot of time and budget to educational training, it is needed to grasp and manage about its effectiveness that how helpful the training is for performance of work-site operations through evaluation of educational training. Having Seen researches about evaluation of educational training until these days, most researches have mainstream to measure satisfaction and a level of learning or degree that how the learning transfers to actions. It is found that a research about an entire evaluation model should be required. This study aims to investigate effectiveness of Call Center educational training from the level of recognition by reflecting Kirkpatrick's the four levels of learning evaluation. By the four levels, reaction, learning, behavior and results, the study found out a connection with standards of evaluation about each levels. In addition, by using structural equation modeling, it was examined goodness of fit about the entire model. Furthermore, by an alternative model, considering a direct relation between a factor of reaction and behavior, it was compared and examined goodness of fit of overall model of the study model and the alternative one.
The Influence of Adolescence Abuse Experience to Suicide : Focusing on Policy Implications

The purpose of this study is to examine the moderating effect of family resilience in the relationship of abuse experience, self-esteem, family resilience, and suicide, and make suggestion for policies to improve family resilience to prevent suicide of the youth with abuse experience. For this, a survey was conducted with 600 people at middle and high schools in three districts in Jeollanamdo, and, except 53 copies, total 547 copies used. The scales used child abuse of Murray A. Straus (1979), suicide of Beck, Kovacs & Weissmen(1979), self-esteem of Coopersmith(1967), and family resilience of Boehm (2007). The results: First, 54.2% of experienced abuse, and, as for the suicide frequency based on abuse types, physical abuse scored high. Second, the regression analysis showed that abuse experience has a direct positive effect on suicide, and higher abuse experience led to more suicide. Also, abuse experience turned out to have indirect effect on suicide through self-esteem, which proves the mediated effect of self-esteem. Third, family resilience was proven to have mediated effect as abuse experience has a negative effect on suicide, and high self-esteem has a negative effect on suicide.
A Study on the Quality Improvement Plan through Analysis of Information System Audit Examples

For the successful operation of the current organization, the importance of the information system is further increasing, and audit for the information system construction is also spreading according to the mandatory of information system audit. However our country's information system audit still does not deal with various risks and the improvement plan of it is desperately needed since bad practices are often happened while performing audit for the various information system projects. Therefore, this paper proposed improved review items for the quality improvement of information system construction by analysing data of information system audit projects and risk occurrence projects that are performed by the domestic large SI company during four years. In addition, this paper verified the effectiveness of the improved review items proposed in this paper by applying them to actual information system project examples.
The scientific analysis of programming instructional process in elementary school

This study intends to analyse the programming class with visual-basic, scratch and pico-cricket in elementary school. The study analyses cognitive domain by creativity tests and instructional process by student task engagement and the required factor of student's activity-nowadays, a lot of encouragement of learning use-. According to the result, The creativity of groups who use three teaching aid improves, but it hasn't any meaning. according to the student task engagement analysis by instructional process, According to the student task engagement analysis by instructional process, The concentration of group that uses pico-cricket and scratch falls down a little, but The concentration of group that uses visual-basic falls down remarkably. At last, according to the result of the required factor of student's activity, scratch and pico-cricket spend time discussing and programming, but visual-basic spends time correcting coding error. But pico-cricket spends much time preparing teaching aid or checking instrument, so this fact has to reflect when teacher plans his class. Through this fact, scratch and pico-cricket are better than visual basic as effective teaching aid when teacher teaches programming.
