Low Power TLB Supporting Multiple Page Sizes without Operation System

Even though the multiple pages TLB are effective in improving the performance, a conventional method with OS support cannot utilize multiple page sizes in user application. Thus, we propose a new multiple-TLB structure supporting multiple page sizes for high performance and low power consumption without any operating system support. The proposed TLB is organised as two parts of a S-TLB(Small TLB) with a small page size and a L-TLB(Large TLB) with a large page size. Both are designed as fully associative bank structures. The S-TLB stores small pages are evicted from the L-TLB, and the L-TLB stores large pages including a small page generated by the CPU. Each one bank module of S-TLB and L-TLB can be selectively accessed base on particular one and two bits of the virtual address generated from CPU, respectively. Energy savings are achieved by reducing the number of entries accessed at a time. Also, this paper proposed the simple 1-bit LRU policy to improve the performance. The proposed LRU policy can present recently referenced block by using an additional one bit of each entry on TLBs. This method can simply select a least recently used page from the L-TLB. According to the simulation results, the proposed TLB can reduce Energy * Delay by about 76%, 57%, and 6% compared with a fully associative TLB, a ARM TLB, and a Dual TLB, respectively.
Mechanical Fault Classification of an Induction Motor using Texture Analysis

This paper proposes an algorithm using vibration signals and texture analysis for mechanical fault diagnosis of an induction motor. We analyze characteristics of contrast and pattern of an image converted from vibration signal and extract three texture features using gray-level co-occurrence model(GLCM). Then, the extracted features are used as inputs of a multi-level support vector machine(MLSVM) which utilizes the radial basis function(RBF) kernel function to classify each fault type. In addition, we evaluate the classification performance with varying the parameter from 0.3 to 1.0 for the RBF kernel function of MLSVM, and the proposed algorithm achieved 100% classification accuracy with the parameter of the RBF from 0.3 to 1.0. Moreover, the proposed algorithm achieved about 98% classification accuracy with 15dB and 20dB noise inserted vibration signals.
Feature Extraction of Molecular Images by DWT

In this paper, We are suggested methods of feature extraction in molecular images. The result of image transform DWT examination by suggested method, we are obtained as follows. 1-level and 2-levels of decomposition results showed the composition of the low frequency region. But, 3-level decomposition results did not appear in the data component is almost. Observed not with the naked eye is not, but the 3-level output data values of the results were decomposed. We are printed the horizontal and vertical directions of low-frequency region of the data, the high frequency region of the horizontal and vertical data, and diagonal high frequency region of the horizontal and vertical directions data. If the output data using molecular imaging and CT, PET, MR imaging will be compared with the data.
Analysis of the Connectivity of Monitoring Nodes and the Coverage of Normal Nodes for Behavior-based Attack Detection in Wireless Sensor Networks

In wireless sensor networks, sensors need to communicate with each other to send their sensing data to the administration node and so they are susceptible to many attacks like garbage packet injection that cannot be prevented by using traditional cryptographic approaches. A behavior-based detection is used to defend against such attacks in which some specialized monitoring nodes overhear the communications of their neighbors to detect bad packets. As monitoring nodes use more energy, it is desirable to use the minimal number of monitoring nodes to cover the whole or maximal part of the network. The monitoring nodes can either be selected among the deployed normal nodes or differ in type from normal nodes. In this study, we have developed an algorithm for selecting the predefined number of monitoring nodes needed to cover the maximum number of normal nodes when the different types of normal nodes and monitoring nodes are deployed. We also have investigated experimentally how the number of monitoring nodes and their transmission range affect the connection ratio of the monitoring nodes and the coverage of the normal nodes.
Implementation and Performance Testing of a Broadcasting System using Webcams and Smartphones

This paper suggests a way to implement a system that broadcasts compressed JPEG images obtained from a webcam to multiple users on their smartphones. The system was implemented to maintain a suitable image quality so that things are identifiable while using the minimal amount of data, in order to deliver as many frames as possible to as many users as possible. Also, the suggested way was applied and various tests were done, including on: the performance of the server that provides image information; the performance of the client that receives the image information and displays it on the smartphone; and the max. number of simultaneous users supported by the system. When a broadcasting system is implemented using webcams and smartphones, the results of this paper can be used in estimating the suitable system parameters depending on network performance, including the max. number of simultaneous clients supported, the client smartphone performance required, and the number of frames that can be transmitted per second.
A Study on IT Governance Critical Success Factors in Korean Government Integrated Data Center

The Korean Government Integrated Data Center (GIDC) was established as a comprehensive solution to integrate information systems spread across each government agency in 2005. In the process of building and operating the GIDC, various IT governance issues are potential. To implement the effective IT governance in an organization, it is important to confirm some critical success factors (CSFs) of each issue. However, there are few studies on this subject in the public sector. This study tried to draw several CSFs through literature review and expert panel opinions and provide some practical implications. The results of this research are expected to contribute to the establishment of good IT governance in the GIDC.
A Study on HILS for Performance Analysis of Airborne EOTS for Aircraft

In this paper, the HILS (Hardware In-the-Loop Simulation) system to analyze and to verify the performance of the targeting pod is addressed. The main functions of the targeting pod is acquiring and tracking targets to guide a LGB (Laser Guided Bomb) to the targets. For the analysis of targeting pod, the real time simulate images generation of IR and daylight cameras, sever control technology, and the analysis of laser transfer characteristics are necessary. For the real time image generation and the laser transfer characteristics analysis, off-the-shelf SDK(Software Development Kit) OKTAL-SE is used. For the servo controller, well-proven mechanism in the previous program is applied to increase servo control accuracy. To analyze the performance of a targeting pod in a realistic environment, 1553B, ARINK818 interface and etc. which are actually implemented in real combat aircrafts are applied in the system. By using the developed HILS system, the performance of currently operating targeting pods in real combat aircrafts can be analyzed and predicted. Additionally, the relationship between overall system performance and each module performance can be analyzed, the currently developed HILS system is expected to be a very useful tool to generate system development requirements of targeting pods and to reduce any possible future development risks.
Seal Detection in Scanned Documents

As the advent of the digital age, documents are often scanned to be archived or to be transmitted over the network. The largest proportion of documents is texts and the next is seal images indicating the author of the documents. While a lot of research has been conducted to recognize texts in scanned documents and commercialized text recognizing products are developed as highlighted the importance of the scanned document, information about seal images is discarded. In this paper, we study how to extract the seal image area from the color or black and white document containing the seal image and how to save the seal image. We propose a preprocessing step to remove other components except for the candidate outlines of the seal imprint from scanned documents and a method to select the final region of interest from these candidates by using the feature of seal images. Also in case of a seal imprint overlapped with texts, the most similar image among those stored in the database is selected through the template matching process. We verify the implemented system for a various type of documents produced in schools and analyze the results.
A Polynomial Time Algorithm of a Traveling Salesman Problem

This paper proposes a
polynomial time algorithm to obtain optimal solution for Traveling Salesman problem that is a NP-complete because polynomial time algorithm has been not known yet. The biggest problem in a large-scale Traveling Salesman problem is the fact that the amount of data to be processed is
, and thus as n increases, the data increases by multifold. Therefore, this paper proposes a methodology by which the data amount is first reduced to approximately n/2. Then, it seeks a bi-directional route at a random point. The proposed algorithm has proved to be successful in obtaining the optimal solutions with
time complexity when applied to TSP-1 with 26 European cities and TSP-2 with 46 cities of the USA. It could therefore be applied as a generalized algorithm for TSP.

Every activity of companies whose goal is pursuit of profits occurs much information such as buying and selling consistently. This information is a factor that evaluates employees' results at least and can be a highly trusted data for facing an overall market conditions at large for CEO, so it should be managed efficiently. This paper helps CEO to run a business efficiently by establishing the business strategy for dealing flexibly and checking the level of contribution of each of employees through the management process in the rapidly changing market and it tries to construct the system that employees can evaluate their business profits and is able to evaluate the reliability of connections. This system is based on On-line, able to share data in real time, and limits an employees' authority for access capability of information.
Semantic-based Keyword Search System over Relational Database

One issue with keyword search in general is its ambiguity which can ultimately impact the effectiveness of the search in terms of the quality of the search results. This ambiguity is primarily due to the ambiguity of the contextual meaning of each term in the query. In addition to the query ambiguity itself, the relationships between the keywords in the search results are crucial for the proper interpretation of the search results by the user and should be clearly presented in the search results. We address the keyword search ambiguity issue by adapting some of the existing approaches for keyword mapping from the query terms to the schema terms/instances. The approaches we have adapted for term mapping capture both the syntactic similarity between the query keywords and the schema terms as well as the semantic similarity of the two and give better mappings and ultimately 50% raised accurate results. Finally, to address the last issue of lacking clear relationships among the terms appearing in the search results, our system has leveraged semantic web technologies in order to enrich the knowledgebase and to discover the relationships between the keywords.
Realization of a Web-based Distribution System for the Monitoring of Business Press Releases and News Gathering Robots

At present, a variety of Korean news stories have been about important online content and its importance in the press is becoming higher. Diverse news from businesses are provided to the public as press releases through newspapers or broadcasting media. For such news to become information for a press release, enterprises visit reporters, use e-mails, faxes, or couriers to deliver the information. However, such methods have problems with time, human resources, expenses, and file damage. Also, with these methods it is bothersome for enterprises to check what has been released and for the press to make frequent contact with enterprises for interviews and for content to be released. Therefore, this study aimed to realize a distribution system which enterprises can use to distribute data to be released to the press and to easily check what is to be released while the press can ask for interview requests in a simple way, as well as a news gathering robot that can collects news on the enterprises involved from articles online or in portal sites.
Design and Implementation of a Network Weather Map System

In this paper, we design and implement a network weather map system, which provides a macroscopic view on the whole network topology as well as the network link status and utilization. The proposed system also provides distributed NetFlow-based database facility and Web-based query interface, through which network operators can check the detailed network router or link status as well as submit predefined queries to easily find out and locate heavy hitters and/or their usage. We believe that our develop system will be a useful tool for small-to-mid-scale ISPs or network operators, in managing their own networks in a cost-effective way.
Key Determinants of Online Wine Purchasing Intention

This paper was to figure out why online wine purchasing is not activated despite of the many advantages of having online transactions and to fine key determinants of online wine purchasing intention. Thus, the purpose of this study was to identify the determinants of online wine purchase intention, and examines the relationships between the determinants and online wine purchase intention. Data was collected from those who have experienced in using online wine store to purchase wine, and data was used to test the proposed research model. The findings showed that perceived usefulness and social influence(subjective norm, image) were key determinants of online wine site trust, but they were not related to online wine site trust. It also was found that perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use and subjective norm were positively and significantly related to online wine purchase intention whereas it had no relationship with image. In addition, online wine site trust was shown to influence on online wine purchase intention. Finally, the mediating effects were found in the relationships between perceived usefulness, subjective norm, and online wine purchase intention. Based on the results of the study, implications for future research are drawn.
A Study on the Effectiveness of Mobile Advertising: Based on Technology Acceptance Model

As the use of wired and mobile Internet is on the increase, organizational activities for customers as well as individual life style are changing rapidly from the past. Specifically, mobile advertising in organizations thanks to remarkable growth in smartphone users, continuous development of mobile Internet technologies, and enhancement of information delivery capability regardless of time and place, has become a competitive weapon for presenting new products and services, promoting marketing programs, and communicating with customers. The study is to investigate what characteristics of mobile advertising are affecting the acceptance toward mobile advertising, and to analyse if the country type of mobile Internet users has a moderating effect on the relationship between these characteristics of mobile advertising and user acceptance.
A Phenomenological Study on the Meaning of Economic Life of Marriage Immigrant Women

The purpose of this study is to listen to vivid story on economic life of marriage immigrant women using phenomenological study out of qualitative study methods, and to analyze the meaning of dynamicity of experiences through in-depth interviews. The research question is "What is the meaning of economic life that marriage immigrant women experience?" From the research, 67 meaningful statements were abstracted and 15 core meanings were organized. The 15 core meanings were categorized as 5 theme categories such as 'Tough Life', 'Unstable Income such as Children Education Expense and Insurance Premium', 'Search for Changes in Life Style for Adaptation', 'Pursuit of Economic Stability through Employment', 'Expectation of Supports and Return to Married Woman's Parents' Home.' The researcher made structural description through first person speaker for the application of hermeneutical writing. In other words, the meaning of economic life of marriage immigrant women in Korea is 'difficult coping process to family-oriented culture pursuing changes in life style to adapt themselves to difficult reality.' Various undertones of practice were proposed through those statements such as policy to expand opportunities to receive an old-age pension by applying 'Joint Scheme for Couples' (Virtual Name) to People's pension for stable economic life of marriage immigrant women in old age.
Who is Happy at Work?: The Relationship between Demographic·Psychographic Factors and Happiness Level

The primary objectives of this study were to identify who is happier in workplace. To do this, this study proposed and analyzed a theoretical model consisting of demographic factors such as sex differences, age band, marital status, child quantity, religion, education level, position, job, income etc, psychological factors such as extroversion, neurosis, positive belief and happiness level. The major results of analysis reveal that first, both demographic factors and psychological factors have a positive effect on the happiness level of office-worker. Second, child quantity, neurosis and positive belief is an important factors in predicting office-worker's happiness. In conclusion, the implication of our research is to verify factors to promote the happiness level of office workers.
A Study for the Institutionalization of Alternative Medicine

Recently, desires for diversification of medical treatment throughout our society have been enhanced. It is thought that such a trend may be directly related to the introduction of 'alternative medicine'. This study is to establish the foundation of legalization of alternative medicine, starting with the movement for legalization of alternative medicine from constitutionality decision of medical law by the legal Information Constitutional Court. It also suggested the direction of discussion with issue of how to introduce alternative medicine beyond the stage of basic discussion, 'why' we must introduce alternative medicine, through profound investigation of preceding studies. In addition, the present study analyzed legal controversies from the appearance of alternative medicine based on the decisions of the Constitutional Court and the precedents of the Supreme Court and drew the prerequisites for the institutionalization of alternative medical treatments. It also reestablished terms of alternative medicine which have been indiscreetly used, presented methods for officialization of alternative medicine and compared and analyzed advantages and disadvantages of the methods.
A Study on the Depreciation System under the Accrual Basis Accounts and Bookkeeping by Double Entry

This study looked into the whole features and problems about depreciation system of government capital assets in the way of the government accrual basis accounts and bookkeeping by double entry and then, tries to find a scheme to improve depreciation system for effective and efficient treatment about assets and expenses. In government accounts, depreciation system has been carried out turning around the entire accrual basis accounts be recognized government assets and applied capital asset accounts from 2011. Therefore, if depreciation system can be facilitated in order to retrench administrative expenditure and utilize assets and resources effectively under the accrual basis accounts, it would be good use of achievement evaluation in government accounts and information providing on the ground of more effective use to government's financial information.
Multicultural Policy Implications Derived for the Multicultural Children's Cognitive Abilities and Autonomy about an Empirical Analysis

This study perceived multicultural children's ability to look at the impact of autonomy in the multicultural families to derive policy implications using SPSS 19.0 and AMOS 19.0 empirical analysis. To this end, in the area of A metrocity and Y city targeting elementary school autonomy on the final survey data were analyzed. The results of this study revealed the following: First, multicultural children's social skills and self-perceived ability to influence the psychological wellbeing of the two perceptual effects were. Second, multicultural children's psychological well affect its autonomy was found to be third, multicultural children's social skills and self-perceived ability to influence the perception of autonomy was the effect. As a result, the empirical analysis The results obtained by the analysis of the independent variable perceived social skills and personal skills perceived to affect the psychological wellbeing of the dependent variable autonomy also appeared to affect the result of these two effects through causal multicultural that is meaningful to the child's ability to assume that perception were found.
Development of forest carbon optimization program using simulated annealing heuristic algorithm

In this study, we developed a program of optimizing stand-level carbon stock using a stand-level yield model and the Simulated Annealing (SA) heuristic method to derive a optimized forest treatment solution. The SA is one of the heuristic algorithms that can provide a desirable management solution when dealing with various management purposes. The SA heuristic algorithm applied 'thermal equilibrium test', a thresholds approach to solve the phenomenon that does not find an optimum solution and stays at a local optimum value during the process. We conducted a sensitivity test for the temperature reduction rate, the major parameter of the thermal equilibrium test, to analyze its influence on the objective function value and the total iteration of the optimization process. Using the developed program, three scenarios were compared: a common treatment in forestry (baseline), the optimized solution of maximizing the amount of harvest(alternative 1), and the optimized solution of maximizing the amount of carbon stocks(alternative 2). As the results, we found that the alternative 1 showed provide acceptable solutions for the objectives. From the sensitivity test, we found that the objective function value and the total iteration of the process can be significantly influenced by the temperature reduction rate. The developed program will be practically used for optimizing stand-level carbon stock and developing optimized treatment solutions.
The Relationship between Cyberbullying Victimized Experience and Emotional Behavior of Middle School Students

The general opinion about the notion of cyberbullying hasn't existed yet, but in related laws it is defined as the entire behavior causing the counterpart to suffer the pain by continuously and repeatedly psychologic offending toward specific students with information and telecommunication products such as the Internet and mobile phones, and spreading the private information or false facts related with specific students. Recently a number of accidents related with abuse of cyberbullying are being broadcast on a variety of mass media, and the argument about the severity and countermeasures against cyberbullying is moving onward. This study has a purpose as suggesting the practical alternatives to prevent cyberbullying victim of middle school students by arguing cyberbullying of middle school students and analyzing the relationship between the general features such as victimized experience and frequency and the emotional behaviors according to victimized experience. As the result of this study, cyberbullying victimized experience has a significant effect on the emotional behavior such as depression, aggression, and academic stress. As political implication, this study suggests the practical alternatives to prevent cyberbullying of middle school students based on the analysis result.
On Intensive E-learning TOEIC Course

The purpose of this paper is to compare and analyze TOEIC scores of two kinds of courses opened at a university and the distribution of TOEIC scores of two groups. In addition, this paper will examine the ability of participants and the used instructional materials and equipment. The university has two kinds of TOEIC courses; one is a four-week intensive course opened in summer and winter vacations, where students participate in the classes from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The other is a regular TOEIC course, offering one-hour class every day from Monday to Friday during the university semester (15 weeks). This paper points out how important, the EFL/ESL teacher education, teaching materials, teaching methods and e-learning in operating more effective classes. The intensive TOEIC course and the regular TOEIC course include 120 hours and 75 hours a semester, respectively. Unfortunately, both courses have such a limited amount of time that students cannot achieve their fluent and perfect command of English. For Korean student to master English in a limited amount of both time and resources, the development of effective and qualitative EFL/ESL Intensive courses is essential.
