Detecting the HTTP-GET Flood Attacks Based on the Access Behavior of Inline Objects in a Web-page Using NetFlow Data

Nowadays, distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks on web sites reward attackers financially or politically because our daily lifes tightly depends on web services such as on-line banking, e-mail, and e-commerce. One of DDoS attacks to web servers is called HTTP-GET flood attack which is becoming more serious. Most existing techniques are running on the application layer because these attack packets use legitimate network protocols and HTTP payloads; that is, network-level intrusion detection systems cannot distinguish legitimate HTTP-GET requests and malicious requests. In this paper, we propose a practical detection technique against HTTP-GET flood attacks, based on the access behavior of inline objects in a webpage using NetFlow data. In particular, our proposed scheme is working on the network layer without any application-specific deep packet inspections. We implement the proposed detection technique and evaluate the ability of attack detection on a simple test environment using NetBot attacker. Moreover, we also show that our approach must be applicable to real field by showing the test profile captured on a well-known e-commerce site. The results show that our technique can detect the HTTP-GET flood attack effectively.
Addressing the New User Problem of Recommender Systems Based on Word Embedding Learning and Skip-gram Modelling

Collaborative filtering(CF) uses the purchase or item rating history of other users, but does not need additional properties or attributes of users and items. Hence CF is known th be the most successful recommendation technology. But conventional CF approach has some significant weakness, such as the new user problem. In this paper, we propose a approach using word embedding with skip-gram for learning distributed item representations. In particular, we show that this approach can be used to capture precise item for solving the "new user problem." The proposed approach has been tested on the Movielens databases. We compare the performance of the user based CF, item based CF and our approach by observing the change of recommendation results according to the different number of item rating information. The experimental results shows the improvement in our approach in measuring the precision applied to new user problem situations.
Supporting Quality of Experience based on Service Level Agreement for Heterogeneous Networks

In this paper we propose a novel QoE control scheme based on Service Level Agreement (SLA) which enables to guarantee the user perceived service quality of various high-quality mobile multimedia services such as mobile video streaming and real-time network games to a certain level. For this purpose, a SLA control structure is adopted to provision QoE, and a novel resource management scheme gets coupled with this control structure. Simulation results show that our proposed scheme can decrease the average delay and increase the total throughput by adjusting SLA.
Development of Mobile Art Therapy Contents

In this paper, we propose a portable art therapy content. The proposed content makes counseling clients get a psychical cure at least cost regardless of time and place Counseling clients express their psychological state as pictures through the proposed content. And Counselors analyze and interpret the figures based on the database which is built into the server system. Due to the development of advanced technologies, various adjustment disorders and addictions have increased in the rapidly changing modern society. This causes the increase of counseling clients who want a psychical cure. And also counseling time, counseling place and counseling cost are emerging as a social issues. Psychotherapy specialists use the proposed content at the stage of the psychoanalysis which needs a lot of time and effort. The proposed content exploits the sever system to make the right decisions quickly and accurately. Counseling clients who are the medical underprivileged get visit consultation and online consultation can detect a psychological high-risk in an early stage and prevent this psychological high-risk. Preventive treatment service using the proposed content will make the social and medical cost savings.
A Study on the Improvement of `Geospatial Information Open Platform` for Geospatial Information Convergence Industry

In this paper, we propose a direction for improving `Geospatial information open platform` service to support the converged and integrated geospatial information. Since there can be a number of issues relating to the support for geospatial information convergence industry, two qualitative surveys were performed to collect opinions comprehensively and specifically. The responses from 165 experts from 5 areas that use geospatial information were used, and the requirements of demanders were divided into the aspect of policy, aspect of data development and distribution, and aspect of data utilization support in order to effectively analyze the survey results. As a result, a total of 26 major issues were derived and it was deemed that it is necessary to find a way to expand the role of `Geospatial information open platform` from "Open-API Oriented Passive Spatial Information Open Platform" to "Platform that Comprehensively Provides Active Convergence Support Information" order to resolve the issues derived.
An Application Based on Smart Device for Special Effect Shooting of Movies

In this paper, we proposed an application which can conduct to take repetition images for special effect shooting at movies or drama using Bluetooth of smart device. The proposed application can move a camera with motors several times as the same moving after saving of the control data based on the application during specific time using Bluetooth. At the repetition moving, we do not permit to control motors of the camera by person for keeping the same start position and end position after saving the moving data. The camera motors are only moved remotely by saving data of the proposed application. We developed the proposed application and a hardware which works motors with camera to check performance evaluation. Then, we confirmed that the proposed application exactly did the same moving to the motors with camera several times according to saved data. Therefore, because the proposed application can take a same images as control remotely the motors of camera, it will be a useful technology for special effect shooting of movies or dramas.
An Eulerian Cycle Algorithm for Chinese Postman Problem

This paper introduces an algorithm to construct an Eulerian cycle for Chinese postman problem. The Eulerian cycle is formed only when all vertices in the graph have an even degree. Among available algorithms to the Eulerian cycle problem, Edmonds-Johnson`s stands out as the most efficient of its kind. This algorithm constructs a complete graph composed of shortest path between odd-degree vertices and derives the Eulerian cycle through minimum-weight complete matching method, thus running in
. On the contrary, the algorithm proposed in this paper selects minimum weight edge from edges incidental to each vertex and derives the minimum spanning tree (MST) so as to finally obtain the shortest-path edge of odd-degree vertices. The algorithm not only runs in simple linear time complexity
but also obtains the optimal Eulerian cycle, as the implementation results on 4 different graphs concur.
Factors Affecting Delayed Hospital Arrival Times in Acute Ischemic Stroke Patients

The purpose of this study was to investigate the factors of hospital arrival delays of acute ischemic stroke patients. The study subjects were 126 cerebral infarction patients G Metropolitan City university hospital emergency center. General characteristics, disease-related characteristics and stroke-related were collected by self-reported questionnaires. Hospital arrival times by subjects` characteristics were tested by
test and logistic regression analysis. Of 126 cerebral infarction patients, Their average hours taken to move to a hospital was 12.7 hours with the fastest case being 0.5 hour and the most delayed case being 127.8 hours. 61.1%(77 persons) of the stroke patients under this experiment said to have taken 3 hours or less. In logistic regression analyses, Coming to the hospital directly without passing through other hospitals was found to have higher probability of arriving less than 3 hours(
Effects of Purslane Extract on Obesity and Diabetes in High-Fat Diet-Induced Obese Mice

The frequency of obesity has risen dramatically in recent years but only few safe and effective drugs are currently available. In addition, obesity can induce type 2 diabetes (T2DM), hyperlipidemia and fatty liver disease. Recently, protective effect of purslane extract (PE) on obesity has been reported, but little is known about the role and mechanism of PE in obesity. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of PE on obesity and diabetes in obese mice. In addition, the effect of PE was compared with anti-obesity and diabetes drugs. High-fat diet (HFD)-induced obese mice were treated for 8 weeks with drugs as follows: PE, orlistat, metformin, voglibose or pioglitazone. While PE mixed with normal diet did not have any effects on BW in non-obese mice, PE mixed with HFD significantly reduced BW gain, insulin resistance, and glucose intolerance, without affecting food intake and appetite in obese mice. The effect was comparable to the effects of anti-obesity and diabetes drugs. Furthermore, PE significantly increased the activity of hepatocellular anti-oxidant enzymes, leading to protection of liver from oxidative stress in obese mice. These results suggest that PE treatment may be a useful tool for preventing obesity and complication of obesity.
Effects of Perceived Value of International Airport Visitors on their Satisfaction, Revisit and Recommendation Intention

This study aims to examine how international airport visitors perceived value effects on their satisfaction, revisit and recommendation intention. To archive the research goal 288 questionnaires were collected from Incheon international airport and was analyzed a frequency analysis, reliability analysis, exploratory factor analysis and correlation coefficient analysis from SPSS 21, a hypothesis through out confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling from AMOS 7.0. As a result of the analyses, it was found that the models was appropriate in proving the hypotheses on interrelationships among perceived value, satisfaction and revisit & recommendation intention. First, perceived value is factorized as acquisition value, emotion value, monetary value and social value. Second, all factor of perceived value turned out to have affirmative effects on international airport visitors` satisfaction. Third, international airport visitors satisfaction turned out to have affirmative effects on revisit and recommendation intention. Overall, finding of this study enhance the theoretical progress on the experiential concept in international airport and offer important implication for international airport industry.
Effects of Communication, Mindfulness, and Self-Efficacy on the Performance of Online Collaboration

This study aims to examine the effects of communication, mindfulness, and self-efficacy on the performance of online collaboration. The survey method was used for this study, and data from a total of 80 university students were used for the analysis. And structural equation model was used to analyze the data. The results of this empirical study is summarized as followings. First, communication and mindfulness have positive effect on self-efficacy. Second, communication do not have a direct effect on online collaboration performance but self-efficacy mediates the communication effect. Third, mindfulness do not have a direct effect on online collaboration performance but self-efficacy mediates the mindfulness effect. In this study, we suggested the importance of self-efficacy in building the performance of online collaboration.
Re-exploring teaching and learning of probability and statistics using Excel

The law of large numbers, central limit theorem, and connection among binomial distribution, normal distribution, and statistical estimation require dynamics of continuous visualization for students` better understanding of the concepts. During this visualization process, the differences and similarities between statistical probability and mathematical probability that students should observe need to be provided with the intermediate steps in the converging process. We propose a visualization method that can integrate intermediate processes and results through Excel. In this process, students` experiences with dynamic visualization help them to perceive that the results are continuously changed and extracted from multiple situations. Considering modeling as a key process, we developed a classroom exercise using Excel to estimate the population mean and standard deviation by using a sample mean computed from a collection of data out of the population through sampling.
A Case Study of Operating the Computer Programming Subject based on the Flipped Learning Model

This paper shows what kind of influence the learning motivation factors have on the effectiveness of Flipped Learning Model through the case of operating a JAVA programming subject. The Flipped Learning Approach consisting of Before Class, Before or At Start of Class, and In Class provides the students with learning motivation as well as satisfies Keller`s ARCS(Attention, Relevance, Confidence, Satisfaction) to keep them studying steadily. This research conducts the operation of Flipped Learning and gets Exploratory Factor Analysis and Reliability Analysis from the result of the course experience questionnaire at the end of the class. Given this survey result, Flipped Learning approach improves the learners` satisfaction in class and the effectiveness in the fields of understanding learning context more than does the previous lecture-based learning approach by pacing learning procedure and conducting self-directed learning.
