A Study on the Expression of Numerical Data by the KAS Multimedia Tool

This study is to design and implement the synthetic courseware that covers repeating learning, individual teaching, and effective teaching-learning games by using multimedia authoring tool KAS for numerical data of computer science which is especially a little boring and difficult to understand through blackboard-based lesson for senior high school students. It also overcomes the drawbacks of the existing CAI focused on text and image by combining various kinds of media like image, animation and sound effects. Animation of numerical data in the fields of radix conversion makes it possible for learners to check the individual learning process and visual interest. So it comes to increase the effectiveness of learning. Whenever each chapter is finished. learners' understanding can be evaluated by formative test. Applicability test of the developed CAI in Eumsung Senior High School. is statistically evaluated as more effective than that of the blackboard-based lesson.
A Study on the Color Edge Detection

Edge detection is a key component for many modern computer vision applications. While it is certainly not the only way to identify an object, or track a feature, it can be one of the most convenient if it is done quickly and consistently. Many algorithms proposed is applied to gray level images. But. there are limits in method using only intensity information, so, many researchers has try to done research about using color information. In this paper, we propose the new edge detection method usign color information, implement the widely used algorithms and compared with them in performance. In result of experiment, we show that the proposed algorithm have better result in fine detail and shaded region of image.
JOB Scheduling Analysis in FMC using TPN

In this paper, we suggests a WIP (Work In Process) of FMC (Flexible Manufacturing Cell) analysis methods based on the TPN (Time Petri Nets) unfolding. Unfolding of PN is a partial order-based method for the verification of concurrent system without the state space explosion. The aim of this work is to formulate the general cyclic state scheduling problem to minimize the WIP to satisfy economical constraints. The method is based on unfolding of the original net into the equivalent acyclic description.
Scene Change Detection Techniques Using DC components and Moving Vector in DCT-domain of MPEG systems

In this paper. we propose the method of Scene Change Detection for video sequence using the DC components and the moving vectors in the Macro Blocks in the DCT blocks. The proposed method detects the Scene Change which would not be related with the specific sequences in the compressed MPEG domain. To do this. we define new metrics for Scene Change Detection using the features of picture component and detect the exact Scene Change point of B-pictures using the characteristics of B-picture's sharp response for the moving vectors. In brief, we will detect the cut point using I-picture and the gradual scene changes such as dissolve, fade, wipe, etc. As a results, our proposed method shows good test results for the various MPEG sequences.
Development of CPLD technology mapping algorithm improving run-time under Time Constraint

In this paper, we propose a new CPLD technology mapping algorithm improving run-time under time constraint. In our technology mapping algorithm. a given logic equation is constructed as the DAG type. then the DAG is reconstructed by replicating the node that outdegree is more than or equal to 2. As a result, it makes delay time and the number of CLBs, run-time to be minimized. Also. after the number of multi-level is defined and cost of each nodes is calculated, the graph is partitioned in order to fit to k that is the number of OR term within Cl.B. The partitioned nodes are merged through collapsing and bin packing is performed in order to fit to the number of OR term within CLB. In the results of experiments to MCNC circuits for logic synthesis benchmark, we can shows that proposed technology mapping algorithm reduces run-time much more than the TMCPLD.
On the design of 64bit CLSA adder using the optimized algorithm

The efficiency of an adder which plays an important role in micro-process and DSP greatly depends on the kinds of carry generation method. So in this paper. I used both CLA excellent in the speed and CSA best in the chip-size. The 64bit adder is designed with high speed which is two optimum combination. Therefore this paper suggested the way of CLSA improving both speed and chip-size. and proved the excellence of the designed circuit.
Implementation of CAI Program using Client/Server

The CAI has not been developed with the non-structural form of interactive courseware under classroom network. This study suggests the direction of enhancement for students' achievement through interaction between learner and learner. and teacher and learner applied the effective multi-presentation and 4he introduction of the concept of chatting client/server to class with the use of multimedia package. For the continuous development of courseware and the effectiveness of keeping and repairing materials. this study consists of development of the teaching materials by Powerpoint which is one of the multimedia package presentation tools, and teaching method through discussion by chatting client/server under the classroom network. This new CAI showed the possibility of the open education through discussion and the enhancement of learners' effective achievement in the result of the data got from the classrooms of elementary, middle and high schools.
Simulated Courseware Design and Materialization of Light Reflection and Refraction

The purpose of this study is to design and materialize the simulated courseware which is based on new educational environments and student-based education. The scope of this study is reflection and refraction of in the physics of high school. This paper introduce the theoretical background of courseware and investigate the structure and process of the teaching-theory by visualized computer simulation. We applied the basic concept about the reflection and refraction of light and explained the simulated images of spherical mirror and lens with the principles expressions and relative image forms. The last we simulated the various kinds of the images, shapes and distance of the images by changing the distance of object and focus which are made by computer simulation.
A Control Method using the modified Elman Neural Network

The neural network is a static network that consists of a number of layer: input layer, output layer and one or more hidden layer connected in a feed forward way. The popularity of neural network appear to be its ability of learning and approximation capability. The Elman Neural Network proposed the J. Elman. is a type of recurrent network. Is has the feedback links from hidden layer to context layer. So Elman Neural Network is the better performance than the neural network. In this paper. we propose the Modified Elman Neural Network. The structure of a MENN is based on the basic ENN. The recurrency of the network is due to the feedback links from the output layer and the hidden layer to the context layer. In order to certify the usefulness or the proposed method. the MENN apply to the multi target system. Simulation shows that the proposed MENN method is better performance than the multi layer neural network and ENN.
Wavelet Transform Coding for Image Conference

In this paper. wavelet transform coding for image conference is studied. Original video frames are transformed into hierarchical pyramidal images with multiresolution using the band property of wavelet transform coefficients. Moving information between neighboring frames is obtained from the low-resolution band. Also, to control the video coding procedure. a new picture set filter is proposed. This filter controls the compression ratio of each frame depending on the correlation to the reference frame by selectively eliminating less important high-resolution areas. Consequently. video quality can be preserved and bit rate can be controlled adaptively In the simulation, to test the performance of the proposed coding method, comparisons with the full search block matching algorithm and the differential image coding algorithm are made. Consequently. the proposed method shows a reasonably good performance over existing ones.
A Strategy for Efficiently Maintaining Cache Consistency in Mobile Computing Environments of the Asynchronous Broadcasting,

In mobile computing environments, to efficiently use the narrow bandwidth of wireless networks a mobile host caches the data that are frequently accessed. To guarantee the correctness of the mobile transaction, the data cached in a mobile host must be consistent with the data in a server. This paper proposes a new strategy which maintains cache consistency efficiently when the data cached in a mobile host are inconsistent with the data in a server by the mobility of the mobile host at the asynchronous mobile environment. In this strategy, the size of the invalidation message is relatively small and is independent of the number of data to be invalidated under conditions of variable update rates/patterns. So this strategy uses the narrow bandwidth of wireless networks efficiently and reduces the communication cost.
A Study on the performance improvement of Multi-channels L-Expressnet Protocol

In this Paper. Multi-channels L-Expressnet protocol is proposed by supplementing multi-channels control method. This protocol is proposed to complement the shortcomings of the basic protocol which is used for the medium access in LAN. We analyzed the protocol in channel utilization viewpoint and compared the result with that of the Expressnet and L-Expressnet protocol. From this result, we showed that the channel utilization or the Multi-channels L-Expressnet Protocol is superior to that of the other medium access control methods when the channel traffic is increased.

A Study on the Strategy of Financial Services through the Internet

Banking and financial areas are facing on social upheavals by a rapidly advanced Open Network such as Internet, and the crest of a digital boom in the economic side for the 21th century. Electronic banking services has been remarkably changed from the Closed Network into the Open Network which is motivated by the low-cost internet services. This Open Network leads clients to choose banks that offer the best services and goods on the basis of the internet market. Therefore, capability of coping with clients' needs will be rising as one of the main strategies for competitive internet banking system in the near future. For this reason this thesis focuses on issues for banking services that internet influences, internet banking strategy of a developed bank, and expanding services and goods marketing through the internet.

This Paper is analyzing the Financial Ratio of Business in Korea under the IMF Regulations. In this Paper, First. the change condition of the Financial Ratio of Business in Korea before and after IMF. Second, Whether the Performance and Financial State of Business in Korea are right or not is examined by comparing the Financial Ratio of Business in Korea with Standard Financial Ratio. Finally, The Problems of the Financial Ratio of Business under the IMF Regulations are found, so the Ideas which can improve the problems are suggested, The Financial Ratio is analyzed by Stability Ratio. Profitability Ratio, Activity Ratio. Growth Ratio and Productivity Ratio.
A Study on the Factors in the use of Office Automation Information Technology

The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of Critical Factors in the use of Personal Computer, Office Automation Information Technology. The author presents a therortical model related Office Automation Information Technology by end-users and suggests how this model should be conceptualized. A model was estimated with data from 98 end-users. The results revealed that degree of organizational support. demographic charateristic, and useful to the task was positively related to usage of Office Automation Information Technology.
