Generalized carleson inequality on spaces of homogeneous type
Yoo, Yoon-Jae ;
Journal of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 32, issue 4, 1995, Pages 649~659
Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to generalize the Carleson inequality, which is known to play important roles in harmonic analysis. The result given here is a generalization of Coifmann, Meyer, Stein [CMS]. A similar result is shown by Deng [D].

Estimates of invariant metrics on some pseudoconvex domains in
Cho, Sang-Hyun ;
Journal of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 32, issue 4, 1995, Pages 661~678
Abstract
In this paper we will estimate from above and below the values of the Bergman, Caratheodory and Kobayashi metrics for a vector X at z, where z is any point near a given point $z_0$ in the boundary of pseudoconvex domains in $C^n$.

Complete convergence for weighted sums of arrays of random elements
Sung, Soo-Hak ;
Journal of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 32, issue 4, 1995, Pages 679~688
Abstract
Let $(B, \left\
\right\
)$ be a real separable Banach space. Let $(\Omega, F, P)$ denote a probability space. A random elements in B is a function from $\Omega$ into B which is $F$-measurable with respect to the Borel $\sigma$-field $B$(B) in B.

Class function table matrix of finite groups
Park, Won-Sun ;
Journal of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 32, issue 4, 1995, Pages 689~695
Abstract
Let G be a finite group with k distinct conjugacy classes $C_1, C_2, \cdots, C_k$ and F an algebraically closed field such that char$(F){\dag}\left
G \right
$. We denoted by $Irr_F$(G) the set of all irreducible F-characters of G and $Cf_F$(G) the set of all class functions of G into F. Then $Cf_F$(G) is a commutative F-algebra with an F-basis $Irr_F(G) = {\chi_1, \chi_2, \cdots, \chi_k}$.

Strong maximal means with respect to non-product measures
Cho, Yong-Kum ;
Journal of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 32, issue 4, 1995, Pages 697~712
Abstract
In the present article we consider multiparameter maximal averages and discover the crucial roles played by the number of parameters in their boundedness properties. The problem we shall deal with is initiated by Rubio de Francia [8] and will be in the spirit of an inductive extension to multiparameter cases, in which tools of our study rely on the theory of Harmonic Analysis on product spaces. Suppose that $d_\mu$ is a complex Borel measure supported on a compact subset S of $R^N$ having total mass one, $\smallint_S d_\mu = 1$.

Generating function of cells of generalized young tableaux
Park, Seul-Hee ; Lee, Jae-Jin ;
Journal of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 32, issue 4, 1995, Pages 713~724
Abstract
In 1954 Frame, Robinson and Thrall [5] gave the hook formula for the number of standard Young tableaux of a given shape. Since then many proofs for the hook formula have been given using various methods. See [9] forprobabilistic method and see [6] or [12] for combinatorial ones. Regev [10] has given asymptotic values for these numbers and Gouyou-Beauchamps [8] gave exact formulas for the number of standard Young tableaux having n cells and at most k rows in the cases k = 4 and k = 5.

A central limit theorem for sojourn time of strongly dependent 2-dimensional gaussian process
Jeon, Tae-Il ;
Journal of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 32, issue 4, 1995, Pages 725~737
Abstract
Let $X_t = (X_t^(1), X_t^(2))', t \geqslant 0$, be a real stationary 2-dimensional Gaussian process with $EX_t^(1) = EX_t^(2) = 0$ and $$ EX_0 X'_t = (_{\rho(t) r(t)}^{r(t) \rho(t)}), $$ where $r(t) \sim
t
^-\alpha, 0 < \alpha < 1/2, \rho(t) = o(r(t)) as t \to \infty, r(0) = 1, and \rho(0) = \rho (0 \leqslant \rho < 1)$. For $t > 0, u > 0, and \upsilon > 0, let L_t (u, \upsilon)$ be the time spent by $X_s, 0 \leqslant s \leqslant t$, above the level $(u, \upsilon)$.

Extreme values of a gaussian process
Park, Y.K. ; K.S.Hwang ; S.B.Kang ;
Journal of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 32, issue 4, 1995, Pages 739~751
Abstract
Let ${X(t) : 0 \leq t < \infty}$ be an almost surely continuous Gaussian process with X(0) = 0, E{X(t)} = 0 and stationary increments $E{X(t) - X(s)}^2 = \sigma^2(
t - s
)$, where $\sigma(y)$ is a function of $y \geq 0(e.g., if {X(t);0 \leq t < \infty}$ is a standard Wiener process, then $\sigma(t) = \sqrt{t})$. Assume that $\sigma(t), t > 0$, is a nondecreasing continuous, regularly varying function at infinity with exponent $\gamma$ for some $0 < \gamma < 1$.

Weierstrass semigroups at inflection points
Kim, Seon-Jeong ;
Journal of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 32, issue 4, 1995, Pages 753~759
Abstract
Let C be a smooth complex algebraic curve of genus g. For a divisor D on C, dim D means the dimension of the complete linear series
D
containing D, which is the same as the projective dimension of the vector space of meromorphic functions f on C with divisor of poles $(f)_\infty \leq D$.

Abstract
The nonlinear boundary value problem $$ y" = f(x, y, y') = -\frac{x}{3}y' - \frac{y^2}{g(x)}, 0 < x < 1, $$ $$ (1.1) y'(0) = 0, and either (H) : y(1) = \lambda > 0 $$ $$ or (S) : y'(1) + (1 - \upsilon)y(1) = 0, 1 - \upsilon > 0, $$ $$g \in C[0, 1], k \leq g(x) \leq K on [0, 1] for some k, K > 0 $$ arises in the nonlinear circular membrane under normal pressure [2, 3]., 3].

Uniqueness of square convergent triconometric series
Ha, Young-Hwa ; Lee, Jin ;
Journal of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 32, issue 4, 1995, Pages 785~802
Abstract
It is well known that every periodic function $f \in L^p([0,2\pi]), p > 1$, can be represented by a convergent trigonometric series called the Fourier series of f. Uniqueness of the representing series is very important, and we know that the Fourier series of a periodic function $f \in L^p([0,2\pi])$ is unique.

Then according to c > 0, c = 0 or c < 0 it is a complex projective space $P_nC$, a complex Euclidean space $C^n$ or a complex hyperbolic space $H_nC$.

Spanning column rank 1 spaces of nonnegative matrices
Song, Seok-Zun ; Cheong, Gi-Sang ; Lee, Gwang-Yeon ;
Journal of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 32, issue 4, 1995, Pages 849~856
Abstract
There are some papers on structure theorems for the spaces of matrices over certain semirings. Beasley, Gregory and Pullman [1] obtained characterizations of semiring rank 1 matrices over certain semirings of the nonnegative reals. Beasley and Pullman [2] also obtained the structure theorems of Boolean rank 1 spaces. Since the semiring rank of a matrix differs from the column rank of it in general, we consider a structure theorem for semiring rank in [1] in view of column rank.

Recently, Ito and Kang ([4]) developed a nonlinear feedback control synthesis for regulating fluid flow using these devices.
