WEIGHTED COMPOSITION OPERATORS ON WEIGHTED SPACES OF VECTORVALUED ANALYTIC FUNCTIONS
Manhas, Jasbir Singh ;
Journal of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 45, issue 5, 2008, Pages 1203~1220
DOI : 10.4134/JKMS.2008.45.5.1203
Abstract
Let V be an arbitrary system of weights on an open connected subset G of
and let B (E) be the Banach algebra of all bounded linear operators on a Banach space E. Let
(G, E) and
(G, E) be the weighted locally convex spaces of vectorvalued analytic functions. In this paper, we characterize selfanalytic mappings
and operatorvalued analytic mappings
which generate weighted composition operators and invertible weighted composition operators on the spaces
(G, E) and
(G, E) for different systems of weights V on G. Also, we obtained compact weighted composition operators on these spaces for some nice classes of weights

PROJECTIVE DOMAINS WITH NONCOMPACT AUTOMORPHISM GROUPS I
Yi, ChangWoo ;
Journal of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 45, issue 5, 2008, Pages 1221~1241
DOI : 10.4134/JKMS.2008.45.5.1221
Abstract
Most of domains people have studied are convex bounded projective (or affine) domains. Edith

[15] characterized ellipsoid in
by studying projective automorphism of convex body. In this paper, we showed convex and bounded projective domains can be identified from local data of their boundary points using scaling technique developed by several mathematicians. It can be found that how the scaling technique combined with properties of projective transformations is used to do that for a projective domain given local data around singular boundary point. Furthermore, we identify even unbounded or nonconvex projective domains from its local data about a boundary point.

Journal of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 45, issue 5, 2008, Pages 1243~1253
DOI : 10.4134/JKMS.2008.45.5.1243
Abstract
In this paper, we construct onefactorizations of given complete graphs of even order. These constructions partition the edges of the complete graph into onefactors and triples. Our new constructions of onefactors and triples can be applied to a recursive construction of Steiner triple systems for all possible orders

THE BFKGLUING FORMULA FOR ZETADETERMINANTS AND THE VALUE OF RELATIVE ZETA FUNCTIONS AT ZERO
Lee, YoonWeon ;
Journal of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 45, issue 5, 2008, Pages 1255~1274
DOI : 10.4134/JKMS.2008.45.5.1255
Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to discuss the constant term appearing in the BFKgluing formula for the zetadeterminants of Laplacians on a complete Riemannian manifold when the warped product metric is given on a collar neighborhood of a cutting compact hypersurface. If the dimension of a hypersurface is odd, generally this constant is known to be zero. In this paper we describe this constant by using the heat kernel asymptotics and compute it explicitly when the dimension of a hypersurface is 2 and 4. As a byproduct we obtain some results for the value of relative zeta functions at s=0.

MONOTONE ITERATION SCHEME FOR IMPULSIVE THREEPOINT NONLINEAR BOUNDARY VALUE PROBLEMS WITH QUADRATIC CONVERGENCE
Ahmad, Bashir ; Alsaedi, Ahmed ; Garout, Doa'a ;
Journal of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 45, issue 5, 2008, Pages 1275~1295
DOI : 10.4134/JKMS.2008.45.5.1275
Abstract
In this paper, we consider an impulsive nonlinear second order ordinary differential equation with nonlinear threepoint boundary conditions and develop a monotone iteration scheme by relaxing the convexity assumption on the function involved in the differential equation and the concavity assumption on nonlinearities in the boundary conditions. In fact, we obtain monotone sequences of iterates (approximate solutions) converging quadratically to the unique solution of the impulsive threepoint boundary value problem.

BEST PROXIMITY PAIRS AND NASH EQUILIBRIUM PAIRS
Kim, WonKyu ; Kum, SangHo ;
Journal of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 45, issue 5, 2008, Pages 1297~1310
DOI : 10.4134/JKMS.2008.45.5.1297
Abstract
Main purpose of this paper is to combine the optimal form of Fan's best approximation theorem and Nash's equilibrium existence theorem into a single existence theorem simultaneously. For this, we first prove a general best proximity pair theorem which includes a number of known best proximity theorems. Next, we will introduce a new equilibrium concept for a generalized Nash game with normal form, and as applications, we will prove new existence theorems of Nash equilibrium pairs for generalized Nash games with normal form.

UNIVERSAL QUADRATIC FORMS OVER POLYNOMIAL RINGS
Kim, MyungHwan ; Wang, Yuanhua ; Xu, Fei ;
Journal of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 45, issue 5, 2008, Pages 1311~1322
DOI : 10.4134/JKMS.2008.45.5.1311
Abstract
The Fifteen Theorem proved by Conway and Schneeberger is a criterion for positive definite quadratic forms over the rational integer ring to be universal. In this paper, we give a proof of an analogy of the Fifteen Theorem for definite quadratic forms over polynomial rings, which is known as the Four Conjecture proposed by Gerstein.

ON GENERALIZED NONLINEAR QUASIVARIATIONALLIKE INCLUSIONS DEALING WITH (h,η)PROXIMAL MAPPING
Liu, Zeqing ; Chen, Zhengsheng ; Shim, SooHak ; Kang, ShinMin ;
Journal of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 45, issue 5, 2008, Pages 1323~1339
DOI : 10.4134/JKMS.2008.45.5.1323
Abstract
In this paper, a new class of
proximal for proper functionals in Hilbert spaces is introduced. The existence and Lipschitz continuity of the
proximal mappings for proper functionals are proved. A class of generalized nonlinear quasivariationallike inclusions in Hilbert spaces is introduced. A perturbed threestep iterative algorithm with errors for the generalized nonlinear quasivariationallike inclusion is suggested. The existence and uniqueness theorems of solution for the generalized nonlinear quasivariationallike inclusion are established. The convergence and stability results of iterative sequence generated by the perturbed threestep iterative algorithm with errors are discussed.

PROJECTIONS OF BOUQUET GRAPH WITH TWO CYCLES
Huh, YoungSik ;
Journal of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 45, issue 5, 2008, Pages 1341~1360
DOI : 10.4134/JKMS.2008.45.5.1341
Abstract
In this paper we investigate the projections of bouquet graph B with two cycles. A projection of B is said to be trivial if only trivial embeddings are obtained from the projection. It is shown that, to cover all nontrivial projections of B, at least three embeddings of B are needed. We also show that a nontrivial projection of B is covered by one of some two embeddings if the image of each cycle has at most one selfcrossing.

ON DICHOTOMY AND CONDITIONING FOR TWOPOINT BOUNDARY VALUE PROBLEMS ASSOCIATED WITH FIRST ORDER MATRIX LYAPUNOV SYSTEMS
Murty, M.S.N. ; Kumar, G. Suresh ;
Journal of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 45, issue 5, 2008, Pages 1361~1378
DOI : 10.4134/JKMS.2008.45.5.1361
Abstract
This paper deals with the study of dichotomy and conditioning for twopoint boundary value problems associated with first order matrix Lyapunov systems, with the help of Kronecker product of matrices. Further, we obtain close relationship between the stability bounds of the problem on one hand, and the growth behaviour of the fundamental matrix solution on the other hand.

COUNTING REAL JHOLOMORPHIC DISCS AND SPHERES IN DIMENSION FOUR AND SIX
Cho, CheolHyun ;
Journal of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 45, issue 5, 2008, Pages 1427~1442
DOI : 10.4134/JKMS.2008.45.5.1427
Abstract
We provide another proof that the signed count of the real Jholomorphic spheres (or J holomorphic discs) passing through a generic real configuration of k points is independent of the choice of the real configuration and the choice of J, if the dimension of the Lagrangian submanifold L (fixed point set of involution) is two or three, and also if we assume L is orient able and relatively spin. We also assume that M is strongly semipositive. This theorem was first proved by Welschinger in a more general setting, and we provide more natural approach using the signed degree of an evaluation map.

MYLLER CONFIGURATIONS IN FINSLER SPACES. APPLICATIONS TO THE STUDY OF SUBSPACES AND OF TORSE FORMING VECTOR FIELDS
Constantinescu, Oana ;
Journal of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 45, issue 5, 2008, Pages 1443~1482
DOI : 10.4134/JKMS.2008.45.5.1443
Abstract
In this paper we define a Myller configuration in a Finsler space and use some special configurations to obtain results about Finsler subspaces. Let
= (M,F) be a Finsler space, with M a real, differentiable manifold of dimension n. Using the pull back bundle
of the tangent bundle
by the mapping
and the Cartan Finsler connection of a Finsler space, we obtain an orthonormal frame of sections of
along a regular curve in
and a system of invariants, geometrically associated to the Myller configuration. The fundamental equations are written in a very simple form and we prove a fundamental theorem. Important lines in a Finsler subspace are defined like special lines in a Myller configuration, geometrically associated to the subspace: auto parallels, lines of curvature, asymptotes. Torse forming vector fields with respect to the Cartan Finsler connection are characterized by means of the invariants of the Frenet frame of a versor field along a curve, and the new notion of torse forming vector fields in the sense of Myller is introduced. The particular cases of concurrence and parallelism in the sense of Myller are completely studied, for vector fields from the distribution
of the Myller configuration and also from the normal distribution

Abstract
Let f : M
M be a selfmap on the Klein bottle M. We compute the Lefschetz number and the Nielsen number of f by using the infranilmanifold structure of the Klein bottle and the averaging formulas for the Lefschetz numbers and the Nielsen numbers of maps on infranilmanifolds. For each positive integer n, we provide an explicit algorithm for a complete computation of the Nielsen type numbers
