INTEGRAL CLOSURE OF A GRADED NOETHERIAN DOMAIN

Abstract
We show that, if R is a graded Noetherian ring and I is a proper ideal of R generated by n homogeneous elements, then any prime ideal of R minimal over I has h-height
n, and that if R is a graded Noetherian domain with h-dim R
2, then the integral closure R' of R is also a graded Noetherian domain with h-dim R'
2. We also present a short improved proof of the result that, if R is a graded Noetherian domain, then the integral closure of R is a graded Krull domain.

Abstract
The paper deals with repeated low-density burst error detecting codes with a specied weight or less. Linear codes capable of detecting such errors have been studied. Further codes capable of correcting and simultaneously detecting such errors have also been dealt with. The paper obtains lower and upper bounds on the number of parity-check digits required for such codes. An example of such a code has also been provided.

A QUADRATICALLY CONVERGENT ITERATIVE METHOD FOR NONLINEAR EQUATIONS

Abstract
In this paper we propose a simple iterative method for finding a root of a nonlinear equation. It is shown that the new method, which does not require any derivatives, has a quadratic convergence order. In addition, one can find that a hybrid method combined with the non-iterative method can further improve the convergence rate. To show the efficiency of the presented method we give some numerical examples.

The purpose of this paper is twofold. The first is to establish a uniqueness theorem for entire function sharing two polynomials with its
-th derivative, by using the theory of normal families. Meanwhile, the theorem generalizes some related results of Rubel and Yang and of Li and Yi. Several examples are provided to show the conditions are necessary. The second is to generalize the Br

The paper deals with the degenerate parabolic system with nonlinear boundary flux. By constructing the self-similar supersolution and subsolution, we obtain the critical global existence curve. The critical Fujita curve is conjectured with the aid of some new results.

Abstract
In this work, a numerical solution of the incompressible Navier-Stokes equations is proposed. The method suggested is based on an algorithm of discretization by mixed finite elements with a posteriori error estimation of the computed solutions. In order to evaluate the performance of the method, the numerical results are compared with some previously published works or with others coming from commercial code like Adina system.

Abstract
In this paper we provide characterizations for the Gromov hyperbolicity of some particular Denjoy domains and besides some sufficient conditions to guarantee or discard the hyperbolicity of some others. The conditions obtained involve just the lengths of some special simple closed geodesics in the domain. These results, on the one hand, show the extraordinary complexity of determining the hyperbolicity of a domain and, on the other hand, allow us to construct easily a large variety of both hyperbolic and non-hyperbolic domains.
