THE JACOBSON RADICAL OF THE ENDOMORPHISM RING, THE JACOBSON RADICAL, AND THE SOCLE OF AN ENDO-FLAT MODULE
Bae, Soon-Sook ;
Communications of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 15, issue 3, 2000, Pages 453~467
Abstract
For any S-flat module RM(which will be called endoflat) with a commutaitve ring R with identity, where S is the endomorphism ring RM, the fact that every epimorphism is an automorphism has been proved and the Jacobson Radical Rad(S) of S is described as follow; Rad(S) = { f
S｜Imf=Mf is small in M} = {f
S｜Imf
Rad(M)}. Additionally for any quasi-injective endo-flat module RM, the fact that every monomorphism is an automorphism has been proved and the Jacobson Radical Rad(S) for any quasi-injective endo-flat module has been studied too. Also some equivalent conditions for the semi-primitivity of any faithful endo-flat module RM with the open Jacobson Radical Rad(M) and those for the semi-simplicity of any faithful endo-flat quasi-injective module RM with the closed Socle Soc(M) have been studied.

Ozturk, Mehmet-Ali ; Jun, Y.B. ;
Communications of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 15, issue 3, 2000, Pages 469~479
Abstract
We define and study the extended centroid of a prime
-ring.

RELATIVE PROJECTIVE MONOMIAL GROUPS
Choi, Eun-Mi ;
Communications of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 15, issue 3, 2000, Pages 481~492
Abstract
As an application of Clifford theory, we are interested in a situation in which every irreducible projective character of a finite group G is an induced character of an irreducible linear character of some subgroup H of G. For this purpose, we study relative projective monomial groups with respect to subgroups.

Cho, Yong-Hwan ;
Communications of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 15, issue 3, 2000, Pages 493~498
Abstract
In this paper we find some properties of distinguished prime submodules of modules and prove theorems about the dimension of modules

FUZZY Ζ-IDEALS IN IS-ALGEBRAS
Jun, Young-Bae ; Ahn, Sung-Shin ; Kim, Hee-Sik ;
Communications of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 15, issue 3, 2000, Pages 499~509
Abstract
In [9], the concept of fuzzy sets is applied to the theory of Ζ-ideals in a BCI-semigroup (it was renamed as an IS-algebra for the convenience of study), and a characterization of fuzzy Ζ-ideals by their level Ζ-ideals was discussed. In this paper, we study further properties of fuzzy Ζ-ideals. We prove that the homomorphic image and preimage of a fuzzy Ζ-ideal are also fuzzy Ζ-ideals.

A NOTE ON JANOWITZ'S HULLS OF GENERALIZED ORTHOMODULAR LATTICES
Park, Eun-Soon ; Chung, Jin-Young ;
Communications of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 15, issue 3, 2000, Pages 511~519
Abstract
If G is a strict generalized orthomodular lattice and H={I｜I=[0,
,
G}, then H is prime ideal of the Janowitz's hull J(G) of G. If f is the janowitz's embedding, then the set of all commutatiors of f(G) equals the set of all commutators of the Janowitz's hull J(G) of G. Let L be an OML. Then L J(G) for a strict GOML G if and only if ther exists a proper nonprincipal prime ideal G in L.

EXTREMALLY RICH GRAPH
-ALGEBRAS
Jeong, J.A ;
Communications of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 15, issue 3, 2000, Pages 521~531
Abstract
Graph C*-algebras C*(E) are the universal C*-algebras generated by partial isometries satisfying the Cuntz-Krieger relations determined by directed graphs E, and it is known that a simple graph C*-algebra is extremally rich in sense that it contains enough extreme consider a sufficient condition on a graph for which the associated graph algebra(possibly nonsimple) is extremally rich. We also present examples of nonextremally rich prime graph C*-algebras with finitely many ideals and with real rank zero.

ON NULL SCROLLS SATISFYING THE CONDITION
H = AH
Pak, Jin-Suk ; Yoon, Dae-Won ;
Communications of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 15, issue 3, 2000, Pages 533~540
Abstract
In the present paper, we study a non-degenrate ruled surface along a null curve in a 3-dimensional Minkowski space E31, which is called a null scroll, an investigate some characterizations of null scrolls satisfying the condition H=AH, A Mat(3, ), where denotes the Laplacian of the surface with respect to the induced metric, H the mean curvature vector and Mat(3, ) the set of 3
3-real matrices.

Park, Kyeong-Su ;
Communications of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 15, issue 3, 2000, Pages 541~547
Abstract
In this paper, we discuss various limit sets of projectively flat manifolds and relationship between them.

-LIMIT SETS FOR MAPS OF THE CIRCLE
Cho, Seong-Hoon ;
Communications of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 15, issue 3, 2000, Pages 549~553
Abstract
For a continuous map of the circle to itself, we give necessary and sufficient conditions for the
-limit set of each nonwandering point to be minimal.
