Kim, Seon-Hong ;
Communications of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 17, issue 3, 2002, Pages 383~387
DOI : 10.4134/CKMS.2002.17.3.383
Abstract
Let p be an odd prime, and let f(
) be the interpolating polynomial associated with a table of data points (j+1, (equation omitted) ) for 0
j
p. In this article, we find congruence identities modulo p of (p-1)!f(
), (p-2)!f(
), and (p-3)!f(
). Moreover we present some conjectures of these types.

Communications of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 17, issue 3, 2002, Pages 389~401
DOI : 10.4134/CKMS.2002.17.3.389
Abstract
We give an upper bound for the degrees of the nonvanishing homology modules of the Schur complex L
λ/
/ø in terms of the depths of the determinantal ideals of ø). Using this fact, we obtain the acyclic theorem for L
λ/ø and the information concerning the support of the homology modules of L
λ/
/ø.

DOI : 10.4134/CKMS.2002.17.3.423

THE DOUBLE-COMPLETE PARTITIONS OF INTEGERS
Lee, Ho-Kyu ; Park, Seung-Kyung ;
Communications of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 17, issue 3, 2002, Pages 431~437
DOI : 10.4134/CKMS.2002.17.3.431
Abstract
Representing a positive integer in terms of a sum of smaller numbers with certain conditions has been studied since MacMahon [5] pioneered perfect partitions. The complete partitions is in this category and studied by the second author[6]. In this paper, we study complete partitions with more specified completeness, which we call the double-complete partitions.

FREE ARRANGEMENTS AND NICE PARTITIONS
Choi, Hyun-Hee ; Lee, Ki-Suk ;
Communications of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 17, issue 3, 2002, Pages 439~449
DOI : 10.4134/CKMS.2002.17.3.439
Abstract
If an arrangement admits a nice partition, or an arrangement is free, then the characteristic polynomial of the arrangement can be factored. It is known that a free arrangement does not always admit a nice partition. We show that even an inductively free arrangement does not always admit a nice partition.

Song, Young-Kwon ;
Communications of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 17, issue 3, 2002, Pages 451~457
DOI : 10.4134/CKMS.2002.17.3.451
Abstract
Let (R, m, k) be a maximal commutative k-subalgebra of M
n/(k) where the index of nilpotency i(m) of m is 3. If the socle of R is of special case, then we can construct some isomorphic maximal commutative subalgebras.

Communications of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 17, issue 3, 2002, Pages 475~485
DOI : 10.4134/CKMS.2002.17.3.475
Abstract
We estimate the stable rank, connected stable rank and general stable rank of the multiplier algebras of
-algebras under some conditions and prove that the ranks of them are infinite. Moreover, we show that for any
-unital subhomogeneous

Kang, Joo-Ho ; Jo, Young-Soo ;
Communications of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 17, issue 3, 2002, Pages 487~493
DOI : 10.4134/CKMS.2002.17.3.487
Abstract
Given operators X and Y acting on a Hilbert space H, an interpolating operator is a bounded operator A such that AX = Y. An interpolating operator for the n-operators satisfies the equation AX
i/ : Y
i/, for i = 1, 2 …, n. In this article, we obtained the following : Let X = (x
ij/) and Y = (y
ij/) be operators acting on H such that
i
(i)/ 0 for all i. Then the following statements are equivalent. (1) There exists a unitary operator A in Alg(equation omitted) such that AX = Y and every E in (equation omitted) reduces A. (2) sup{(equation omitted)}<
and (equation omitted) = 1 for all i = 1, 2, ….

HöLDER ESTIMATES FOR ∂ IN ANALYTIC POLYHEDRA
Cho, Hong-Rae ;
Communications of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 17, issue 3, 2002, Pages 495~503
DOI : 10.4134/CKMS.2002.17.3.495
Abstract
We consider Holder estimates for ∂ in analytic polyhedra. In the case of dimension 2, it preserves exact Ho1der regularity, and it maps bounded (0,1)-forms into BMO with respect to volume measure.

Choi, Eun-Seo ;
Communications of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 17, issue 3, 2002, Pages 505~517
DOI : 10.4134/CKMS.2002.17.3.505
Abstract
We introduce certain conformally invariant h-Finsler connection in a Rizza manifold. Using this connection, we find some conformally invariant Finsler tensors. The conformal flatness and the Kaehlerian Finsler manifold with respect to the above connection are investigated.

Communications of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 17, issue 3, 2002, Pages 541~550
DOI : 10.4134/CKMS.2002.17.3.541
Abstract
In this Paper, We look at 3 Simple function L assigning to an integer n the smallest positive integer n such that any product of n consecutive numbers is divisible by n. Investigated are the interesting properties of the function. The function L(n) is completely determined by L(p
k/), where p
k/ is a factor of n, and satisfies L(m
n)
L(m)+L(n), where the equality holds for infinitely many cases.
