ON TOR-TORSION THEORIES
GOLRIZ M. ; BIJANZADEH M. H. ;
Communications of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 20, issue 2, 2005, Pages 209~219
DOI : 10.4134/CKMS.2005.20.2.209
Abstract
Tor-torsion theory was defined by Jan Trlifaj in 2000. In this paper we introduce the notion of Co envelopes, CoCovers and Tor-generators as dual of envelopes, covers and generators in cotorsion(Ext-torsion) theory and deduce that each R-module has a projective and a cotorsion coprecover.

ON DIRECT SUMS IN BOUNDED BCK-ALGEBRAS
HUANG YISHENG ;
Communications of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 20, issue 2, 2005, Pages 221~229
DOI : 10.4134/CKMS.2005.20.2.221
Abstract
In this paper we consider the decompositions of subdirect sums and direct sums in bounded BCK-algebras. The main results are as follows. Given a bounded BCK-algebra X, if X can be decomposed as the subdirect sum
of a nonzero ideal family
of X, then I is finite, every
is bounded, and X is embeddable in the direct sum
; if X is with condition (S), then it can be decomposed as the subdirect sum
if and only if it can be decomposed as the direct sum
; if X can be decomposed as the direct sum
, then it is isomorphic to the direct product

RANDOM FIXED POINT THEOREMS AND LERAY-SCHAUDER ALTERNATIVES FOR U

AGARWAL RAVI P. ; REGAN DONAL O ;
Communications of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 20, issue 2, 2005, Pages 299~310
DOI : 10.4134/CKMS.2005.20.2.299
Abstract
This paper presents new random fixed point theorems for
maps and new random Leray-Schauder alternatives for
type maps. Our arguments rely on recent deterministic fixed point theorems and on a result on hemicompact maps in the literature.

ON THE STABILITY OF FUNCTIONAL EQUATIONS IN n-VARIABLES AND ITS APPLICATIONS
KIM, GWANG-HUI ;
Communications of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 20, issue 2, 2005, Pages 321~338
DOI : 10.4134/CKMS.2005.20.2.321
Abstract
In this paper we investigate a generalization of the Hyers-Ulam-Rassias stability for a functional equation of the form
, where X lie in n-variables. As a consequence, we obtain a stability result in the sense of Hyers, Ulam, Rassias, and Gavruta for many other equations such as the gamma, beta, Schroder, iterative, and G-function type's equations.

Communications of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 20, issue 2, 2005, Pages 359~364
DOI : 10.4134/CKMS.2005.20.2.359
Abstract
We give another characteristic feature of the set of phantom maps: After constructing an isomorphism between derived functors, we show that the set of homotopy classes of phantom maps could be restated as the extension product of subinverse towers induced by the given inverse towers.

TOPOLOGICAL PRESSURE OF CONTINUOUS FLOWS WITHOUT FIXED POINTS
LEE, KYUNG-BOK ;

DOI : 10.4134/CKMS.2005.20.2.365
Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to correct erroneous proofs of theorems of He, Lu, Wang and Zheng [1] about the topological pressure of continuous flows without fixed points and to give proofs of some results which are stated in the literature without proofs and thereby to show that their theorems are still true.

LARGE DEVIATION PRINCIPLE FOR DIFFUSION PROCESSES IN A CONUCLEAR SPACE
CHO, NHAN-SOOK ;
Communications of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 20, issue 2, 2005, Pages 381~393
DOI : 10.4134/CKMS.2005.20.2.381
Abstract
We consider a type of large deviation principle obtained by Freidlin and Wentzell for the solution of Stochastic differential equations in a conuclear space. We are using exponential tail estimates and exit probability of a Ito process. The nuclear structure of the state space is also used.

KIM, YONG-SUP ; RATHIE ARJUN K. ; CHOI, JUNE-SANG ;
Communications of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 20, issue 2, 2005, Pages 395~403
DOI : 10.4134/CKMS.2005.20.2.395
Abstract
The authors aim mainly at giving fifteen three-term contiguous relations for the basic hypergeometric series
corresponding to Gauss's contiguous relations for the hypergeometric series
given in Rainville([6], p.71). They also apply them to obtain two summation formulas closely related to a known q-analogue of Kummer's theorem.

MODIFICATION TO A BOUND FOR RANDOM ERROR CORRECTION WITH LEE WEIGHT
JAIN SAPNA ;
Communications of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 20, issue 2, 2005, Pages 405~409
DOI : 10.4134/CKMS.2005.20.2.405
Abstract
In [1], Sharma and Goel obtained a bound for random error correcting codes with Lee weight considerations. The purpose of this paper is to first point out a discrepancy in this result and then give a correct version of the same, improving upon the bound tremendously.
