ABUNDANT SEMIGROUPS WITH QUASI-IDEAL S-ADEQUATE TRANSVERSALS

Abstract
In this paper, the connection of the inverse transversal with the adequate transversal is explored. It is proved that if S is an abundant semigroup with an adequate transversal
, then S is regular if and only if
is an inverse semigroup. It is also shown that adequate transversals of a regular semigroup are just its inverse transversals. By means of a quasi-adequate semigroup and a right normal band, we construct an abundant semigroup containing a quasi-ideal S-adequate transversal and conversely, every such a semigroup can be constructed in this manner. It is simpler than the construction of Guo and Shum [9] through an SQ-system and the construction of El-Qallali [5] by W(E, S).

Abstract
In the present work we construct a composite implicit random iterative process with errors for a finite family of asymptotically nonexpansive random operators and discuss a necessary and sufficient condition for the convergence of this process in an arbitrary real Banach space. It is also proved that this process converges to the common random fixed point of the finite family of asymptotically nonexpansive random operators in the setting of uniformly convex Banach spaces. The present work also generalizes a recently established result in Banach spaces.

In this paper, a composite iterative process is introduced for a generalized equilibrium problem and a pair of nonexpansive mappings. It is proved that the sequence generated in the purposed composite iterative process converges strongly to a common element of the solution set of a generalized equilibrium problem and of the common xed point of a pair of nonexpansive mappings.

GIBBS PHENOMENON AND CERTAIN NONHARMONIC FOURIER SERIES

Abstract
The Fourier series has a rapid oscillation near end points at jump discontinuity which is called the Gibbs phenomenon. There is an overshoot (or undershoot) of approximately 9% at jump discontinuity. In this paper, we prove that a bunch of series representations (certain nonharmonic Fourier series) give good approximations vanishing Gibbs phenomenon. Also we have an application for approximating some shape of upper part of a vehicle in a different way from the method of cubic splines and wavelets.
