Communications of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 27, issue 2, 2012, Pages 217~222
DOI : 10.4134/CKMS.2012.27.2.217
Abstract
In this note we investigate some properties of
-algebras and further relations with
-algebras. Especially, we show that if (
, -, +, 0) is a
-algebra, then (
, +) is a semigroup with identity 0. We discuss some constructions of linear
-algebras in a field

ON AN INVERSE PROBLEMS FOR LAPLACE EQUATIONS WITH POTENTIAL TERMS ON ELECTRICAL NETWORKS
Chung, Ji-Chan ; Kim, Du-Hyeong ; Kwon, Tae-Hoon ;
Communications of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 27, issue 2, 2012, Pages 243~255
DOI : 10.4134/CKMS.2012.27.2.243
Abstract
In this paper, we deal with an inverse problem for electrical resistor networks to detect the location of nodes where an extraordinary currents ow into or out of the nodes proportional to the potentials on them. To achieve the goal, we solve a special type of mixed boundary value problem for Laplace equations with potential terms on rectangular networks which plays a role as a forward problem. Then we solve an inverse problem to develop an algorithm to locate the node where the extraordinary current flows on it at most four times of measurements of potential and current on its boundary.

EXTENSIONS OF BANACH'S AND KANNAN'S RESULTS IN FUZZY METRIC SPACES
Choudhur, Binayak S. ; Das, Krishnapada ; Das, Pradyut ;
Communications of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 27, issue 2, 2012, Pages 265~277
DOI : 10.4134/CKMS.2012.27.2.265
Abstract
In this paper we establish two common fixed point theorems in fuzzy metric spaces. These theorems are generalisations of the Banach contraction mapping principle and the Kannan's fixed point theorem respectively in fuzzy metric spaces. Our result is also supported by examples.

Han, Sang-Hyeon ; Park, Sung-Ho ;
Communications of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 27, issue 2, 2012, Pages 279~296
DOI : 10.4134/CKMS.2012.27.2.279
Abstract
In this paper, we define a generalized duality mapping, which is a generalization of the normalized duality mapping and using this, we extend the notion of a generalized projection and study their properties. Also we construct an approximating fixed point sequence using the generalized projection with the generalized duality mapping and prove its strong convergence.

Yildiz, Ahmet ; De, Uday Chand ;
Communications of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 27, issue 2, 2012, Pages 327~339
DOI : 10.4134/CKMS.2012.27.2.327
Abstract
In this paper we study
-projectively semisymmetric,
-pro-jectively semisymmetric,
-Weyl semisymmetric and
-Weyl semisym- metric non-Sasakian (
,
)-contact metric manifolds. In all the cases the manifold becomes an
-Einstein manifold. As a consequence of these results we obtain that if a 3-dimensional non-Sasakian (
,
)-contact metric manifold satisfies such curvature conditions, then the manifold reduces to an N(
)-contact metric manifold.

FUZZY δ-TOPOLOGY AND COMPACTNESS
Lee, Seok-Jong ; Yun, Sang-Min ;
Communications of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 27, issue 2, 2012, Pages 357~368
DOI : 10.4134/CKMS.2012.27.2.357
Abstract
We introduce the concepts of fuzzy
-interior and show that the set of all fuzzy
-open sets is also a fuzzy topology, which is called the fuzzy
-topology. We obtain equivalent forms of fuzzy
-continuity. More-over, the notions of fuzzy
-compactness and fuzzy locally
-compactness are defined and their basic properties under fuzzy
-continuous mappings are investigated.

ABSORBING PAIRS FACILITATING COMMON FIXED POINT THEOREMS FOR LIPSCHITZIAN TYPE MAPPINGS IN SYMMETRIC SPACES
Gopal, Dhananjay ; Hasan, Mohammad ; Imdad, Mohammad ;
Communications of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 27, issue 2, 2012, Pages 385~397
DOI : 10.4134/CKMS.2012.27.2.385
Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to improve certain results proved in a recent paper of Soliman et al. [20]. These results are the outcome of utilizing the idea of absorbing pairs due to Gopal et al. [6] as opposed to two conditions namely: weak compatibility and the peculiar condition initiated by Pant [15] to ascertain the common fixed points of Lipschitzian mappings. Some illustrative examples are also furnished to highlight the realized improvements.

OPTIMALITY CONDITIONS AND DUALITY FOR SEMI-INFINITE PROGRAMMING INVOLVING SEMILOCALLY TYPE I-PREINVEX AND RELATED FUNCTIONS
Jaiswal, Monika ; Mishra, Shashi Kant ; Al Shamary, Bader ;
Communications of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 27, issue 2, 2012, Pages 411~423
DOI : 10.4134/CKMS.2012.27.2.411
Abstract
A nondifferentiable nonlinear semi-infinite programming problem is considered, where the functions involved are
-semidifferentiable type I-preinvex and related functions. Necessary and sufficient optimality conditions are obtained for a nondifferentiable nonlinear semi-in nite programming problem. Also, a Mond-Weir type dual and a general Mond-Weir type dual are formulated for the nondifferentiable semi-infinite programming problem and usual duality results are proved using the concepts of generalized semilocally type I-preinvex and related functions.
