FIBONACCI NUMBERS AND SEMISIMPLE CONTINUED FRACTION
Choi, Eunmi ;
Communications of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 29, issue 3, 2014, Pages 387~399
DOI : 10.4134/CKMS.2014.29.3.387
Abstract
The ratios of any two Fibonacci numbers are expressed by means of semisimple continued fraction.

THE SPECTRAL CONTINUITY OF ESSENTIALLY HYPONORMAL OPERATORS
Kim, An-Hyun ; Ryu, Eun-Jin ;
Communications of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 29, issue 3, 2014, Pages 401~408
DOI : 10.4134/CKMS.2014.29.3.401
Abstract
If A is a unital Banach algebra, then the spectrum can be viewed as a function
: 𝕬
𝕾, mapping each T
𝕬 to its spectrum
, where 𝕾 is the set, equipped with the Hausdorff metric, of all compact subsets of
. This paper is concerned with the continuity of the spectrum
via Browder's theorem. It is shown that
is continuous when
is restricted to the set of essentially hyponormal operators for which Browder's theorem holds, that is, the Weyl spectrum and the Browder spectrum coincide.

NORM OF THE COMPOSITION OPERATOR FROM BLOCH SPACE TO BERGMAN SPACE
Kasuga, Kazuhiro ;
Communications of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 29, issue 3, 2014, Pages 409~413
DOI : 10.4134/CKMS.2014.29.3.409
Abstract
In this paper, we study some quantity equivalent to the norm of Bloch to
composition operator where Ap
is the weighted Bergman space on the unit ball of
(0 < p <
and -1 <
<
).

DIRICHLET PROBLEM FOR POLYNOMIALS ON THE UNIT DISK
Sertoz, Ali Sinan ;
Communications of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 29, issue 3, 2014, Pages 415~420
DOI : 10.4134/CKMS.2014.29.3.415
Abstract
We give explicit formulas, without using the Poisson integral, for the functions that are C-harmonic on the unit disk and restrict to a prescribed polynomial on the boundary.

FURTHER HYPERGEOMETRIC IDENTITIES DEDUCIBLE BY FRACTIONAL CALCULUS
Gaboury, Sebastien ; Rathie, Arjun K. ;
Communications of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 29, issue 3, 2014, Pages 429~437
DOI : 10.4134/CKMS.2014.29.3.429
Abstract
Motivated by the recent investigations of several authors, in this paper we present a generalization of a result obtained recently by Choi et al. ([3]) involving hypergeometric identities. The result is obtained by suitably applying fractional calculus method to a generalization of the hypergeometric transformation formula due to Kummer.

INEQUALITIES FOR THE NON-TANGENTIAL DERIVATIVE AT THE BOUNDARY FOR HOLOMORPHIC FUNCTION
Ornek, Bulent Nafi ;
Communications of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 29, issue 3, 2014, Pages 439~449
DOI : 10.4134/CKMS.2014.29.3.439
Abstract
In this paper, we present some inequalities for the non-tangential derivative of f(z). For the function
defined in the unit disc, with
>
,
< 1,
< 1, we estimate a module of a second non-tangential derivative of f(z) function at the boundary point
, by taking into account their first nonzero two Maclaurin coefficients. The sharpness of these estimates is also proved.

INDEFINITE TRANS-SASAKIAN MANIFOLD ADMITTING AN ASCREEN HALF LIGHTLIKE SUBMANIFOLD
Jin, Dae Ho ;
Communications of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 29, issue 3, 2014, Pages 451~461
DOI : 10.4134/CKMS.2014.29.3.451
Abstract
We study the geometry of indefinite trans-Sasakian manifold
, of type (
), admitting a half lightlike submanifold M such that the structure vector field of
does not belong to the screen and coscreen distributions of M. The purpose of this paper is to prove several classification theorems of such an indefinite trans-Sasakian manifold.

CRITERIA FOR A SYMMETRIZED MONOMIAL IN B(3) TO BE NON-HIT
Janfada, Ali S. ;
Communications of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 29, issue 3, 2014, Pages 463~478
DOI : 10.4134/CKMS.2014.29.3.463
Abstract
We find criteria for symmetrized monomials to be non-hit in the
-algebra of symmetric polynomials in three variables, where
is the mod 2 Steenrod algebra.

EULER TYPE INTEGRAL INVOLVING GENERALIZED MITTAG-LEFFLER FUNCTION
Ahmed, Shakeel ; Khan, Mumtaz Ahmad ;
Communications of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 29, issue 3, 2014, Pages 479~487
DOI : 10.4134/CKMS.2014.29.3.479
Abstract
In this paper, we obtain some theorems on certain Euler type integrals involving generalized Mittag-Leffler function. Further, we deduce some special cases involving Wiman function, Prabhakar function and exponential and binomial functions.

Communications of the Korean Mathematical Society, volume 29, issue 3, 2014, Pages 489~496
DOI : 10.4134/CKMS.2014.29.3.489
Abstract
