Computers can intensify the students' motivation and understanding about the solution to the problems in class, therefore, computers can be the most appropriate educational tools for the study of problem solving and have been also recognized as a representable study method in the information age, which can pass on various educational experience to the right place at the right time. Mutimedia producing tool helps us develop and maintain the educational courseware by way of using general technology of multimedia system. In this thesis, it presents the efficient development process of educational software by using mutimedia producing tool, its educational advantages and problems, and its future progress direction as well.
Music Factory : A Composition and Listening System based-on Web Databases

Recently, needs and interests that people want to create their digital contents in ubiquitous environment are growing fast. Among the digital contents, people are also interested in the music contents. However, it is hard to find a system which manages and shares music contents easily. The paper proposes a system that provides a composition function for music, a mixing function for music, and a function for ear training. The contributions of the paper are as follows. First, the paper provides a music management system which enables music compositions, listening function of music, searching functionalities. Second, the paper introduces a function of mixing drum sound for managing rhythms. Third, the paper provides game contents which improve senses of music. The proposed system is expected that enables users composite music in ubiquitous environment, provides rich functions for compositions, and improves senses of music.
SVM Kernel Design Using Local Feature Analysis

The purpose of this study is to design and implement a kernel for the support vector machine(SVM) to improve the performance of face recognition. Local feature analysis(LFA) has been well known for its good performance. SVM kernel plays a limited role of mapping low dimensional face features to high dimensional feature space but the proposed kernel using LFA is designed for face recognition purpose. Because of the novel method that local face information is extracted from training set and combined into the kernel, this method is expected to apply to various object recognition/detection tasks. The experimental results shows its improved performance.
A Method of the Widening Expression and Conversion of the Spring Framework AOP into UML/XML

There is no guideline or standard for the specification of the open-source-framework-based Spring AOP, and it causes confusion in development and maintenance. Moreover, the inconsistency between the existing MVC model, the AOP model that is used for Struts framework and the UML diagram makes the aspect reuse more difficult. In this study, a widened existing method was proposed so that Aspect, Pointcut and Advice could be expressed by either UML or XML to ensure that the Spring AOP can accept the combined use of the existing MVC model and the AOP model, which is used for Struts framework. Relationship was defined so that the mutual conversion could be possible with the proposed expression method, and the realization of simple development and maintenance was verified via the examples of mutual conversion. In addition, a packaging method to efficiently reuse aspect was proposed, and the possibility of reuse was verified.
A Simulation Study on the Fast Gradient-based Peak Searching Method

In this paper we propose a new fast peak searching method using the gradient and present simulation results. The proposed method is a solution to the problem that finds the peak(maximum) of the unimodal function on a finite interval with minimum searching steps. Its main application is the auto-focus in the mobile phone. We propose the three steps to find the peak; periodic search, gradient-based search and detail search. In simulation we generated the Gaussian functions with white noise and have the result of about 8 searching steps and 1.04 errors on average.
Design of Educational Training System for Contents Specialist for development of cultural contents in Asia

Cultural Content Industry, a core industry based on knowledge, is becoming an economic model making new benefits by adding human creativity, imagination, sensitivity and style in to information technology. Cultural Contents Industry representing cultures of each countries is facing major changes towards a new competitive industry of each nation. Cultural content of a country is upbringing new contents power developing into a new industry by flattening the barriers within nations. But cooperations face difficulties in launching the industry because of limited information about the current market and lack of understanding in cultural differences. In order to solve this problem, this paper aims to create global network leading to increase of export and creation of new market with cultural contents and train local specialists. In order to search for the ways to maintain Korean contents in other nations and expand exportation. cooperations invite leading cultural contents groups to South Korea, let the groups experience Korea's contents. Cooperations initiated invite training, dispatch training by Korean companies and international students training. The purpose of this paper is to support education system, ETS-CS(Educational Training System for Contents Specialist) and analyse practices applied in the field to develop a better cultural contents industry.
A study on u-City services promotion by mobile services

The paper reviews the relationship between mobile services and u-City services in order to promote u-City service. In the u-Cities, a variety of services are provided based on u-IT technology, which brings the benefits of efficient city management and offers convenience to the city residents. However, most of the available services are designed for the areas of city operation or administrative management, which hinders the growth and propagation of the services. Hence, the paper suggests a concept of mobile life service that is a service that can be ubiquitously accessible by city residents in everyday life. Accordingly, the paper examines and analyzes the usefulness of such services and the intention to use them by conducting a survey among the residents of the metropolitan area. The paper verifies that the mobile life service will contribute to promoting the use of u-City services.
A Study on Cannibalism in Digital Game

Digital game includes one more funny elements which are competition, puzzle, interaction and role-playing. These elements encourage the player's interest and flow. The purpose of this study is to find out the essence of these elements in digital games with Cannibalism. Digital game inherits and develops Cannibalism in the digital space as magic circle, death and rebirth of life, changing the shape of character and reversing the interface.
Evaluation of the Usefulness of PROPELLER (periodically rotated overlapping parallel lines with enhanced reconstruction) Technique to Reduce the Magnetic susceptibility artifact

This study attempted to examine whether the propeller diffusion weighted image method may remove magnetic susceptibility artifacts caused by metallic materials. A comparison of occurrence rates of magnetic susceptibility artifacts in the four regions, both temporal lobes, pons, and orbit, between b = 0 and b = 1,000 s/mm2 images was made after obtaining echo-planar diffusion weighted image, propeller diffusion weighted image, and ADC map images, respectively, from a total of 20 patients who had MRI shots taken of their brain and were found to be with retained metallic foreign bodies within their teeth using a 3.0T MR scanner. In the case of echo-planar diffusion weighted image technique, the presence of metallic materials may bring in some limits on accurate diagnosis due to magnetic susceptibility artifacts, while the propeller diffusion weighted image technique where magnetic susceptibility artifacts decrease is expected to be more useful in ensuring accurate diagnosis in the clinical context.
The framework to develop main criteria for a DDoS correspondence

The government and companies build a DDoS correspondence system hastily to protect assets from cyber threats. It has become more and more intelligent and advanced such as DDoS attack. However, when outbreaks of the social incidents such as 7.7 DDoS attack(2009.7.7) or cases of the direct damage occurred, information security systems(ISS) only become the issue in the short term. As usual, sustained investment about ISS is a negative recognition. Since the characteristic of ISS is hard to recognize the effectiveness of them before incidents occurs. Also, results of incidents occurred classify attack and detection. Detailed and objective measurement criterion to measure effectiveness and efficiency of ISS is not existed. Recently, it is progress that evaluation and certification about for the information security management system(ISMS). Since these works propose only a general guideline, it is difficult to utilize as a result of ISMS improvement for organization. Therefore, this paper proposes a framework to develop main criteria by a correspondence strategy and process. It is able to detailed and objective measurements.
An Efficient Address Mapping Table Management Scheme for NAND Flash Memory File System Exploiting Page Address Cache

Flash memory has been used by many digital devices for data storage, exploiting the advantages of non-volatility, low power, stability, and so on, with the help of high integrity, large capacity, and low price. As the fast growing popularity of flash memory, the density of it increases so significantly that its entire address mapping table becomes too big to be stored in SRAM. This paper proposes the associated page address cache with an efficient table management scheme for hybrid flash translation layer mapping. For this purpose, all tables are integrated into a map block containing entire physical page tables. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme can save the extra memory areas and decrease the searching time with less 2.5% of miss ratio on PC workload and can decrease the write overhead by performing write operation 33% out of total writes requested.
Analysis of toxicity using bio-digital contents

Numerous bio-digital contents have been produced by new technology using biochip and others for analyzing early chemical-induced genes. These contents have little meaning by themselves, and so they should be modified and extracted after consideration of biological meaning. These include genomics, transcriptomics, protenomics, metabolomics, which combined into omics. Omics tools could be applied into toxicology, forming a new field of toxicogenomics. It is possible that approach of toxicogenomics can estimate toxicity more quickly and accurately by analyzing gene/protein/metabolite profiles. These approaches should help not only to discover highly sensitive and predictive biomarkers but also to understand molecular mechanism(s) of toxicity, based on the development of analysing technology. Furthermore, it is important that bio-digital contents should be obtained from specific cells having biological events more than from whole cells. Taken together, many bio-digital contents should be analyzed by careful calculating algorism under well-designed experimental protocols, network analysis using computational algorism and related profound databases.
Folksonomy-based Personalized Web Search System

Search engines provide web documents that are related to user's query. However, using only the query terms that user provided, it is hard for search engines to know user's exact intention and provide the very matching web documents. To remedy this problem, search systems are needed to exploit personalized search technologies. In this paper, we propose not only a novel personalized query recommendation scheme based on folksonomy but also a new personalized search service architecture which reduces the risk of privacy violation while enabling search service providers to provide other various personalized services such as personalized advertisement.
