Expediting Data through Erasure Coding in Networks with High Coefficient of Variation of Transfer Time

In this paper, we focus on end-to-end transfer delay improvement by using erasure coding when delivering expediting message consisting of M packets in networks with high coefficient of variation of transfer time. In the scheme, M packets are divided into b groups with each having g packets. Each group is erasure coded with additional r packets and transmitted. Since the first arrived g packets among g+r packets completes the delivery of the group, the delivery time of the expediting message is reduced. For the scheme, we investigate the optimum group size and number of redundancy packets considering delivery delay reduction and additional transmission cost caused by using erasure coding. From the results of the investigation, we see that the proposed scheme is effective in networks having high variability of transfer time and would be very useful and practical especially for the case that expedited deliveries of messages are needed.
The Study on New Wireless TCP-Westwood Algorithm having Available Bandwidth Estimation within Allowable Range

There have been company researches for TCP-Westwood algorithms in wireless TCP environment with high packet loss rate. Because the TCP-Westwood algorithm adjusts the congestion window according to the ABE(Available Bandwidth Estimation), the algorithm has a problem which the accuracy of ABE decreases as the error rate increases. To solve such a problem, the proposed scheme in this paper adopts the existing packet pattern based algorithm that the ABE is ignored when the arriving interval time of ACK is longer than a given interval time and uses new algorithm that the ABE is reallocated to a given allowable ABE when the ABE is over the allowable range. The proposed scheme shows the simulation result that the ABE is closest to the setting bandwidth for simulation compared to the existing algorithms.
Effect of Design & Business Content Class on the Improvements of Learning Attitude for Corporate Learning Program

This study deals with the proposals and the verification of the causal relationship between improvements of corporate manager's learning attitude for enterprises productivity and managerial effectiveness, the learner's familiarity and personal character strengths that are classified as positive psychology-based theory. For this study, researchers designed the structural equation model using the AMOS analysis. And researchers conducted the interviews using a questionnaire survey of quantitative research methods. Results of the analysis are as below. First, both online and offline classes were identified as the learner's character strengths affect the positive effect to the learner's familiarity strengths. Second, the learner's familiarity affects the positive effect to improvements of learning attitude. And the last, the learner's character strengths and improvements of learning attitude are not significant effect each other, therefore researcher could be found that the role of mediating variables of the learner's familiarity strengths. In this study, researchers analyzed the relationship between familiarity strengths and improving the learning attitudes needed for a desirable curriculum development considering the learners' personality factors. These findings contribute to an ideal course of study when educator design a curriculum and contribute to a successful communication strategy.
Design and Implementation of a Range Measuring Sensor Network with Z-Stack on CC2530

As there are few documents about how to design and implement a sensor network with Z-Stack, developers can get information from developer's community on Internet. That takes longer time to develop the network. This paper presents how to design and implement a range measuring sensor network with Z-Stack's Generic application and ultrasonic sensors based on CC2530, and then show experimental results through the implemented network. This work will make less time for a developer to implement a sensor network with Z-Stack.

Useful It is very crucial to establish the learning environment with a creative technology for those who are going to learn English in terms of multimedia presentation. This kind of technologies make it possible for students to practice English suitable with their level and compatible with lesson plan. English grammar plays a leading role to study English as a second language for the language is required to master the structure, part of speech, and tense. The purpose of this study is to explore the a innovative English teaching and learning approach based on the multimedia presentation to teach English grammar with an effect for those students are studying English, when they are learning English grammar with power point or complex multimedia presentation.
A Study on the Influence of Family Member's TV Channel Selection when Watching TV Four Member Family Study

In this paper, using the demographic information of each member of a family, we figured out which member of a family has more influence on channel selection. We conducted an experiment which subdivide each breadwinners' income into 7 phases, and analysis the influence when they watch TV. The breadwinners' influence on TV channel selection is increased as breadwinners' income is getting higher. In the case of spouses, they have consistent influence on TV channel selection without reference to their breadwinners' income. We conducted another experiment which subdivide the youngest person's age in each family into 4 phases to watch the influence on TV channel selection. As the youngest person grows, they have more influence. With the experiments conducted in this paper, we could draw an interesting result, and this result is expected to provide good services such as content recommendation by considering the context of each family.
A Case Study on the Activity of Self-Initiated Learning of Computer Graphics Classes with Peer Tutoring

In this study, new self-initiated peer tutoring is suggested to computer graphic's subject. Subject of computer graphics is practice based subject, therefore learning efficiency and learning level of students is different from each other. To improve the learning efficiency and enhance the interest of related subject, new peer tutoring activities was performed with main class in 6 months (including vacation). We analyzed the results of tutoring activities and conducted survey tutees. Results of the analysis and the survey were shown that students (tutees) are satisfied with and interested in the class of computer graphics.
Implementation of Multiplatform Game Application for Decorating The Lab

Many people are now enjoying mobile games using various smartphone platforms. However, we have to develop games separately for each smart device platforms so far. Cocos2d-x, a game development framework is released to solve this problem. As a multiplatform version of the existing Cocos2d, Cocos2d-x can make one source code run on various platforms. It is an open software that is able to be used by everyone, and when using it, mobile games can be developed easily based on C++ and OpenGL. In this paper, we implemented a PC laboratory decorating game application, named ILove501, using Cocos2d-x. The 501 is a room number of our PC lab. ILove501 includes an educational feature of solving quizzes in order to highlight positive effects of game. For implementation of a multiplatform game, ILove501 was developed in Windows and iOS environment at the same time, and we verified the results of the execution by porting on a variety of devices such as Android, iPhone, iPad and Galaxy Tab.
Line Edge-Based Type-Specific Corner Points Extraction for the Analysis of Table Form Document Structure

It is very important to classify a lot of table-form documents into the same type of classes or to extract information filled in the template automatically. For these, it is necessary to accurately analyze table-form structure. This paper proposes an algorithm to extract corner points based on line edge segments and to classify the type of junction from table-form images. The algorithm preprocesses image through binarization, skew correction, deletion of isolated small area of black color because that they are probably generated by noises.. And then, it processes detections of edge block, line edges from a edge block, corner points. The extracted corner points are classified as 9 types of junction based on the combination of horizontal/vertical line edge segments in a block. The proposed method is applied to the several unconstraint document images such as tax form, transaction receipt, ordinary document containing tables, etc. The experimental results show that the performance of point detection is over 99%. Considering that almost corner points make a correspondence pair in the table, the information of type of corner and width of line may be useful to analyse the structure of table-form document.
A Study on Hotel Customer Reputation Analysis based on Big Data

Competition between corporations is getting more intense, so they need customer feedback in order to fulfill an effective management. Recently, SNS (Social Network Service) such as Twitter and Facebook has grown dramatically because of smart phones. Social media like Twitter and Facebook let customers to express their needs, and using big data such as data on SNS is a very effective method for getting customer's feedback. Collecting and analyzing social big data are operated by Buzz monitoring system. This research suggests how to utilize big data for getting customer's feedback on hotel CRM(Customer Relationship Management), which considers customer itself as asset of business. This paper demonstrates the research of buzz monitoring system that analyzes big data, and presents results of hotel customer reputation using buzz monitoring system. It would analyze the result from the hotel customer reputation, and research the implication in this paper.

The change from people's work-centered values to their leisure-centered values leads into the change in their life styles. In the circumstance, people's participation into sports activities seems to be an important means to improve their quality of life. Along with the change of the times, more people take part in water leisure sports including kayak. As a result, people's needs for various designs of water leisure goods are on the rise. In this sense, it is necessary to come up with strategies to actively respond to such a change. In this paper, we proposed a user decision-making support system for designing kayaks for leisure. Based on the previous studies and literatures and a questionnaire survey with consumers, it chose the sensitivity related to design. By conducting factor analysis and evaluation, it drew sensitivity and proposed kayak design layouts in the aspect of customer sensitivity preference. It is expected that the result of this study will be used not only for kayak design, but as a design guide for the equipment of water leisure sports, and will be applied for user-friendly design.

Time-based DHT Peer Searching Scheme for P2P VOD Service

In the typical P2P VOD system, it is very important to develop the fast and efficient peer searching scheme since the peers frequently join and leave to/from P2P system. This paper proposes a new peer searching scheme for P2P VOD system based on DHT network environment. The proposed scheme constructs DHT network by managing the peers having close playback starting times and close network locations into a peer all together. The peer information is mapped onto DHT nodes by hashing the key values each of which consists of the starting time and network location of the peer. From the simulation results, the number of messages required to search the partner peers are decreased, and the number of buffer maps exchanging among the peers are also decreased. The proposed scheme can reduce the average network distances among the partner peers. As a result, the proposed scheme makes routing more efficient and it saves the network resources by decreasing communication traffic overhead.

This paper proposes a new metadata schema for effective mobile service of augmented reality technology, which is used in the convergence of media into a frame among the real world image and objects of virtual world. The proposed metadata schema is extended from JPSearch Core Metadata Schema (ISO/IEC 24800-2 International Standard) with analysis of the functionalities under industrial requirements, and enables to provide an effective application in the actual services. In addition, the proposed schema is available to organize the exchange of information between heterogeneous systems. With development of the prototype system, the proposed metadata schema is going to be submitted and verified under ISO/IEC JTC1 SC29 WG1 JPEG AR standard project.
A study on the Types of the Emotional Stimulation Factors of Digital Cartoons

This study aimed to investigate the types that readers enjoying cartoons appreciated cartoons under the premise that cartoons enjoyed over the internet would expand their sensitivity through media such as monitors and mice. The sensitivity of readers enjoying digital cartoons can be stimulated through communication with carton writers or other readers as the interaction of the real-time response to the network. The choice and control are possible with a vertical scroll bar. Accordingly, readers can be absorbed in a work and focus on its story much more. As a result of extracting emotional stimulation factors to verify these assumptions, factors were able to classify the sensitivity that readers enjoying cartoons obtained from digital cartoons into two types, communication and story-focus type, based on the phases that emotional stimuli were strengthened. This study will be significant as a study to identify the relationship between media-technological factors and readers enjoying cartoons in relation to digital cartoons.

As a way to overcome the problems that when you transmit data to and receive data from End Device to participate in the GRID network, QoS has not been, GARA supports the Diffserv system basically. However, the problem when it is assumed settings related to the Diffserv between the ISP and the ISP is wrong with each other, that it is not possible to receive a complete QoS services began to appear. In this paper, we tried to overcome these drawbacks, in networks based GARA the (Globus Architecture for Reservation and Allocation), using the SLA (Service Level Agrement) server, was treated in the highest priority to the data, the ISP there is provided a method for setting the Diffserv the ISP is even wrong and, using the TOS of the IP header, to solve this, it is described about the direction of future research.
Conversion Profit and Optimal Capacity of Cloud Computer for Integrating Legacy Campus Web Servers

Cloud computing helps users to save a significant amount of cost that is related to infrastructure investment, management, and maintenance. In this paper, we study the conversion planning from campus legacy web servers into an integrated cloud computing web server system. We also analyze the conversion profit when campus web servers are integrated into a cloud computer. We first investigate the cost of legacy system model of campus web servers operated by individual laboratories, departments, institutes and so on. Next, we set up a cloud computer model for the integrated web services meeting the same performance requirements. Then, we derive the conversion profit. From the result of the derivation, we see that the conversion can be effectively applied to and adopted by mid or large sized campuses and similar institutions that provide web services.
The Study on Estimating Life Cycle of 2.5 Inch Hard disk base on PC using enviroment

The mass storage of data and the importance of storage capacity lately has emerged. In this paper, we suggest the new method which estimate life cycle from acceleration life test about 2.5 inch hard disk driver as mass storage, which minimize the difference between real market annual failure rate and estimated failure rate. we obtain market transfer capacity per hours from returned 2.5inch hard disk drives about 309 numbers and accelerating transfer capacity per hours from acceleration life test. we calculate acceleration factor about duty cycle and estimate annual failure rate from failure rate and acceleration factors: temperature acceleration factor, duty cycle acceleration factor, the transfer capacity per hour represent the 93.4 % of user is 5.8 GB/hour, the transfer capacity per hour from acceleration life test is 81.4 GB/hour. the acceleration factor of duty cycle is 14.1. annual failure rate is stabilized at market one year after, annual failure rate is between 0.3 and 0.378. estimated annual failure rate is 0.4, so it is matched at 75~94 % between estimate annual failure rate and market annual failure rate. This study influence the estimate method of annual failure rate by the result of acceleration life cycle of manufacture.
Quality grading measure for online Digital Contents Vitalization

This study developed contents quality grading measurement for helping contents developers, sales persons, consumers. After survey of 28 professionals and 89 contents related employees, this quality grading measurement was established. Also this quality grading measurement contains requirement of contents developers, sales persons, consumers by supporting detailed techical, contents, qualitative metadata.
