Lee, Jun-Hyuk ;
Journal of Digital Contents Society, volume 15, issue 6, 2014, Pages 663~673
DOI : 10.9728/dcs.2014.15.6.663
The WBAN technology means a short distance wireless network which provides each device interactive communication by connecting devices inside and outside of body. Standardization on the physical layer, data link layer, network layer and application layer is in progress by IEEE 802.15.6 TG BAN. Wireless body area network is usually configured in energy efficient using sensor and zigbee device due to the power limitation and the characteristics of human body. Wireless sensor network consist of sensor field and sink node. Sensor field are composed a lot of sensor node and sink node collect sensing data. Wireless sensor network has capacity of the self constitution by protocol where placed in large area without fixed position. In this paper, we proposed the efficient addressing scheme for improving the performance of routing algorithm by using ZigBee in WBAN environment. A distributed address allocation scheme used an existing algorithm that has wasted in address space. Therefore proposing x, y and z coordinate axes from divided address space of 16 bit to solve this problems. Each node was reduced not only bitwise but also multi hop using the coordinate axes while routing than Cskip algorithm. I compared the performance between the standard and the proposed mechanism through the numerical analysis. Simulation verified performance about decrease averaging multi hop count that compare proposing algorithm and another. The numerical analysis results show that proposed algorithm reduced the multi hop better than ZigBee distributed address assignment

Journal of Digital Contents Society, volume 15, issue 6, 2014, Pages 675~682
DOI : 10.9728/dcs.2014.15.6.675
Prostate is only an organ of men. To diagnose the disease of the prostate, generally transrectal ultrasound(TRUS) images are used. Detecting its boundary is a challenging and difficult task due to weak prostate boundaries, speckle noise and the short range of gray levels. In this paper a method for automatic prostate segmentation in TRUS images using Support Vector Machine(SVM) is presented. This method involves preprocessing, extracting Gabor feature, training, and prostate segmentation. The speckle reduction for preprocessing step has been achieved by using stick filter and top-hat transform has been implemented for smoothing. Gabor filter bank for extraction of rotation-invariant texture features has been implemented. SVM for training step has been used to get each feature of prostate and nonprostate. Finally, the boundary of prostate is extracted. A number of experiments are conducted to validate this method and results shows that the proposed algorithm extracted the prostate boundary with less than 10% relative to boundary provided manually by doctors.

DOI : 10.9728/dcs.2014.15.6.683
This study examines the key factors which influence the strategic consideration and intention of adoption of internet marketing of small-and-medium sized companies, based on theoretical consideration of innovation diffusion theory and previous studies related. The result of analysis shows that the degree of market competitiveness, customer dependency, the level of internet marketing knowledge and experience have significant effects on both of strategic consideration and adoption intention for internet marketing. Also, learning commitment has negative influence on strategic consideration only, while environmental dynamism does on adoption intention. Comprehensively, the findings implies that firms consider selection of internet marketing to reduce the severity of competitiveness and that firms which has more knowledge or experience about internet marketing seems to consider selection of internet marketing through the perception of the effects of internet marketing or possible access to internet marketing. Based on the findings that the level of internet marketing knowledge and experience have much significant effects on both of strategic consideration.

Oh, Dong-Il ;
Journal of Digital Contents Society, volume 15, issue 6, 2014, Pages 701~710
DOI : 10.9728/dcs.2014.15.6.701
The analysis on the characteristics of the signification system of Japanese feature-length animations that this essay centrally deals with eventually examines the characteristics of representation and communication in Japanese feature-length animations. In general, most animation works focusing on characters and stories contain the signification systems related to 'denotation' and connotation.' However, tendency of the aesthetic representation and communication that appears differently, depending on the characteristics of the signification system that each animation work pursues. From this point of view, Japanese feature-length animation emphasizes connotative signification system and aesthetic representation, unlike Disney animation that strongly shows the tendency that makes the audience directly immersed in the theme and message of the work conveyed further in the myths by pursuing denotative signification system. And, in the case of Japanese feature-length animation, the 'dissenting and arbitrary interpretation' of the theme, the message that the animation work intends to convey and myths pursued is bound to appear diversely, depending on the audience's experiences and cultural and social backgrounds.

Along with the advent of ubiquitous computing environment, it is becoming a part of our common life style that the demands for enjoying the wireless internet using intelligent portable device such as smart phone and iPad, are increasing anytime or anyplace without any restriction of time and place. The recommending service becomes a very important technology which can find exact information to present users, then is easy for customers to reduce their searching effort to find out the items with high purchasability in e-commerce. Traditional mining association rule ignores the difference among the transactions. In order to do that, it is considered the importance of type of merchandise or service and then, we suggest a new recommending service using mining sequential pattern based on weight to reflect frequently changing trends of purchase pattern as time goes by and as often as customers need different merchandises on e-commerce being extremely diverse. To verify improved better performance of proposing system than the previous systems, we carry out the experiments in the same dataset collected in a cosmetic internet shopping mall.

With the advent of smart phones in 2007, smart phones have been used as not only communication device but also important education tools. In this paper, we have developed a smart phone application and its management system for the interaction in the class. The interaction between a teacher and students are important in some large classes. The smart phone application we developed removed the restrictions of interactions in a large class and reduced time need for the interactions. We found that education effects were enhanced, and the time needed for the interaction was reduced.

For single image super resolution (SR), interpolation based and example based algorithms are extensively used. The interpolation algorithms have the strength of theoretical simplicity. However, those algorithms are tending to produce high resolution images with jagged edges, because they are not able to use more priori information. Example based algorithms have been studied in the past few years. For example based SR, the nearest neighbor based algorithms are extensively considered. Among them, neighbor embedding (NE) has been inspired by manifold learning method, particularly locally linear embedding. However, the sizes of local training sets are always too small. So, NE algorithm is weak in the performance of the visuality and quantitative measure by the poor generalization of nearest neighbor estimation. An improved NE algorithm with Support Vector Regression (SVR) was proposed to solve this problem. Given a low resolution image, the pixel values in its high resolution version are estimated by the improved NE. Comparing with bicubic and NE, the improvements of 1.25 dB and 2.33 dB are achieved in PSNR. Experimental results show that proposed method is quantitatively and visually more effective than prior works using bicubic interpolation and NE.

Mankind has long made images. From cave paintings in the Old Stone Age when the dye was red clay, charcoal, or red iron ore to the modern digital images on the bases of 3D tools like Maya, images have been made through various methods. The basis of society's classification is the development of human beings and technologies. When we are familiar with three elements-technology, human, and art-we are able to create an image suitable for the trend of the times. As a consequence, we brought the trivium that had been taught by the monks in the Middle Age to set our subject to the trivium of the digital age. In this paper, we are going to put technology, human, and art into actual animation to check its theoretical discussion value.

DOI : 10.9728/dcs.2014.15.6.751
Color deficient people do not have sufficient discernment for the colors with low saturation and brightness and at the same time express their negative emotions regarding emotion distortion. The purpose of recovering the distortion of the vision which is the basis for emotion is to increase positive emotions rather than negative ones that those with color vision deficiency feel when they experience digital culture contents. Contrast increases saturation and brightness by differing the direction of their conversion and by doing so, delivers emotion distortion such as dynamic vs. static and vivid vs. somber that the original images intend to convey to those with color vision deficiency by reducing such a contrast. In this respect, this study proposes a contrast-based color conversion method to convert saturation and brightness in the zone of color conversion and identifies if this method can reduce emotion distortion by using color conversion simulation and user test.
