A Study on the Virtualization and Security Technology for the Operation of Novel Reliable Networks

In this paper, we analyze the research trend and problems of the existing virtualization technology and present the most applicable virtualization technology in order to apply the technology to the operation of novel reliable networks. By using the virtualization technology, there is advantage in that the utilization of resource becomes higher and maintenance cost goes down. While, from the security perspective, there exist advantage in using the virtualization, it also introduces new vulnerabilities due to the adoption. Thus it is necessary to analyze the problem and establish the strategy to solve it. Therefore we derive threat elements to the virtualized system, analyze and describe the virtualization security policy.
Proposal for an improvement direction of curriculum of online design class in accordance with the stream of digital times

Online design education, started with the establishment of cyber universities in Korea in 2001, has been operated with the development of online classes for various subjects until present and is predicted to be expanded both quantitatively and qualitatively as the concept of remote education is gradually generalized along with the growth of cyber universities and the development of digital technologies. However, regardless of such quantitative growth and possibility of development, the current online design classes are operating curriculum that is not much different from that of design department at the existing offline universities, while the concepts and roles of design and designer are changing according to the stream of digital times. Moreover, although complex elements are required to be considered since online design education is influenced by digital technological trend as being a form in which digital technology, contents, and design are all combined and advantages and features of online are required to be reflected to the maximum, the reality is different from what has been expected due to many circumstances. Online design education needs to be changed in accordance with the stream of digital times and new online design curriculum suitable for the current of future digital times and online environment are required to be developed and prepared at this moment. Accordingly, this research aims to look into the concepts and roles of design and designer changing in accordance with the stream of digital times by researching the existing literatures as well as the advantages and features of online class and to analyze the current state of curriculum of digital design and related departments at cyber universities in Korea to suggest an improvement direction of curriculum of online design class suitable for the future digital times.
A Study on a Violence Recognition System with CCTV

With the increased frequency of crime such as assaults and sexual violence, the reliance on CCTV in arresting criminals has increased as well. However, CCTV, which should be monitored by human labor force at all times, has limits in terms of budget and man-power. Thereby, the interest in intelligent security system is growing nowadays. Expanding the techniques of an objects behavior recognition in previous studies, we propose a system to detect forms of violence between 2~3 objects from images obtained in CCTV. It perceives by detecting the object with the difference operation and the morphology of the background image. The determinant criteria to define violent behaviors are suggested. Moreover, provable decision metric values through measurements of the number of violent condition are derived. As a result of the experiments with the threshold values, showed more than 80% recognition success rate. A future research for abnormal behaviors recognition system in a crowded circumstance remains to be developed.
Building Hierarchical Bitmap Indices in Space Constrained Environments

Since bitmap indices are useful for OLAP queries over low-cardinality data columns, they are frequently used in data warehouses. In many data warehouse applications, the domain of a column tends to be hierarchical, such as categorical data and geographical data. When the domain of a column is hierarchical, hierarchical bitmap index is able to significantly improve the performance of queries with conditions on that column. This strategy, however, has a limitation in that when a large scale hierarchy is used, building a bimamp for each distinct node leads to a large space overhead. Thus, in this paper, we introduce the way to build hierarchical bitmap index on an attribute whose domain is organized into a large-scale hierarchy in space-constrained environments. Especially, in order to figure out space overhead of hierarchical bitmap indices, we propose the cut-selection strategy which divides the entire hierarchy into two exclusive regions.
A Study on the Public Safety Long Term Evolution Disaster Communication Network

South Korea decided to use the public safety long term evolution (PS-LTE) method to build a wireless communications network for national disaster. The move will allow all disaster management agencies, including police, firefighters and the military to use multimedia information, including videos, in addition to voice to carry out rescue operations from 2017. The Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning said Thursday that it adopted PS-LTE as the technology method for national disaster management system following a national policy coordination meeting last month. PS-LTE is a method integrating group communication, direction communication between terminals and independent base station function with existing LTE technology. Until now, disaster management agencies used technology that only allowed voice communication. However, transmission of multimedia information is possible using PS-LTE.
An Approach to Implementation of Creative Design-Oriented Curriculum and Engineering Design Complex

Recently a demand for student-centered creative design education is rapidly growing, but well organized design curriculum and design practice complex are not established properly in most universities. In this paper, we present a scheme for design-centered engineering curriculum and a method to build a design practice complex for creative design education which it is currently attracting a lot of interest in engineering education. Based on the analysis of the conventional curriculum of electronic engineering, a new curriculum and a design practice complex that is suitable for enhancement of professional practice capability and by which an effective engineering education through introductory design, element design and advanced design steps can be performed is described.

In this paper, we estimate the life cycle from acceleration life test about the hard disk of disk array of image storage of PACS. Webuil distribution was selected by the Anderson-Darling goodness-of-fit test with data of down time at
. The equality test of shape parameter and scale parameter was conducted, so that the probability distribution estimated from data of down time at
was not statistically significant. The shape parameter was 1.0409, The characteristic life was 24603.5 hours at normal user condition(
) by the analysis of weibull-arrhenius modeling which included the acceleration factor of temperature, and The activation energy was 0.5011 eV through arrhenius modeling. The failure analysis of the failure samples of acceleration test and the samples of market return was conducted, so that the share percentage of failure mode was detail difference but the rank of share percentage was almost same. This study suggest the test procedure of acceleration test of hard disk drive in PACS using environment, and help the life estimation at manufacture and use.
A Data Service of Digital Broadcasting for Program-Guiding using Multi-View Video

Currently, numerous (broadcasting) programs are being provided to viewers, which makes it hard for viewers to select a program to watch. Especially, surfing channels watching the program videos (which is the most general manner of searching a program) became a time consuming task of performing several tens of channel changes (a channel change takes about 0.7 second). In the paper, a data service for guiding programs using the multi-view of program videos is proposed. The data service allows viewers to navigate all program videos without channel changes. To implement the data service, a method for composing and transmitting multi-view videos with the meta data for handling each video of the multi-view has been devised and a Java API has been implemented to clip, resize, and display parts of the multi-view videos.
A Cyber Collaboration Platform based on Web for Food Safety Service

This paper suggested a cyber collaboration platform based on web for food safety service. We implemented the cyber collaboration platform for food safety service so that the users participated in collaborative work may refer shared media objects as the same view to others. In this paper, we discussed a model for increasing reliability of food safety data through N screen server and client model. This paper explained a performance analysis of a system with function comparison running on multimedia collaboration work based on web and N screen techniques.
Exploring Strategy of Health Contents for Smart Media : Utilizing Information and Data

With the emergence of smart media and devices which are able to continuous data monitor, the usage patterns of access and acquire health information are changed. Health contents should be provided to promote intrinsic motivation considering the way of cognizing and processing data in human information interaction. For this, planning for prevention centered health contents is required to utilize personal information and medical big data for engagement with the contents. Therefore, this paper reviews previous studies of health communication dealing with users` information literacy like e-health literacy. In addition, the paper classifies ways of communication when mediate IT as immediacy, interaction and data capturing. In conclusion, strategies of health contents for promoting users` intrinsic motivation are explored and its implications are discussed.
A Design of RF Digital Remote Water Gauge with Counterflow Detection Capability

The conventional 1 Hall sensor-type water gauge has some defects that it can not detect counterflow and low-speed flow of water, and it also generates power consumption during even sleep mode. In this paper, a low-power consumption wireless digital remote water gauge with a counterflow detection capability is proposed. The proposed water gauge detects the direction and amount of water flow by using the three Hall sensors placed at
intervals with 8-year national standard life durability. The water gauge with three Hall sensors works without error regardless of water speed does not generate power dissipation during sleep mode by presented reading algorithm for bew water gauge. The proposed water gauge is designed to send its ID, current time and counting value to repeater or central control center with specified frequency by RF Module.
The Implementation of an EPUB3.0-Based Fixed Layout e-Book

The recent announcement of the EPUB3.0 e-book standard with enhanced features is expected to bring about much development and change to the production and circulation of e-books. This study thus set out to implement an EPUB3.0-based e-book containing various layout screens and interactive functions to stimulate readers` interest and investigate the production method considering the simultaneous publication of paper book and e-book. As for methodology and content, the investigator completed an edition and layout design and added an interactive function to it with Adobe Indesign CC(2014) and saved it as an EPUB3.0 file. She then opened the save EPUB file in the Sigil program, checked its specific codes and errors, and made revisions for its completion. The completed EPUB3.0 file was put to the test by installing four EPUB viewers, which were capable of implementing the EPUB3.0 features well based on the fitness results of epubtest.org and uploading files, in desktop and mobile devices. The present study claims its significance by implementing an EPUB3.0-based e-book capable of fixed layout and interactive features, cutting down the time and costs to make an e-book considerably by linking and using a production program, and proposing the possibility of simultaneous publication of paper book and e-book.
Study on the Artifact pattern representation of a method using digital technology

Artifact pattern representation of a method using the digital technology is largely are two digital rubbing technique and digital contrast technique. Digital rubbing technique is clearly with the naked eye to see the original prestigious and difficult to build a digital rubbing data patterns by scanning a prestigious and patterns carved into the artifacts in three dimensions without compromising the circle to represent the three-dimensional effect by contrast it to the objective value refers to a technique that can be represented in digital. Digital contrast technique can not be calculated if the depth information of the object due to the glassy film of artefacts in a three-dimensional surface scanning and the application of this technique refers to a realistic image mapped digital technique for generating digital image contrast. Digital rubbing technique is mainly useful to express the most prestigious and patterns expressed in pottery or tile and stone monument, etc. engraved or embossed, digital contrast techniques can be used effectively to artifacts such as magnetic or glass can not be applied to the digital rubbing technique.
Fault Tolerance System running on Distributed Multimedia

This paper described fault tolerance system running on distributed multimedia. We implemented the error manager service so that the users participated in distribute multimedia collaborative work may refer synchronized error objects as the same view to others. distributed multimedia environment are based on IP-USN(Internet Protocol - Ubiquitous Sensor Network) and M2M(Machine to machine). This is a system that is suitable for detecting, sharing and recovering software error in distribute multimedia CSCW(Computer Supportes Cooperated Work) environment. With error synchronization system, a group cooperating users can synchronize error applications.
Visual Discomfort Analysis of Binocular Depth Change on 3D Stereoscopic Imaging

The development of stereoscopic display hardwares and 3D authoring softwares expands its application areas from particular virtual simulation applications to general movies, games, advertising applications. However, the binocular-based 3D stereoscopic images cause fatigue to viewers. Recent performed many research results about the binocular stereoscopy`s depth perception and viewers` fatigue are derived from experimental users studies. In some results, watching and making guidelines for 3D stereoscopic imaging contents are introduced. The 3D stereoscopic-related contents have the contradictory aspects, which are audiences` pursuit of a tolerable minimum fatigue and producer`s its of excessive depth changes for providing viewers` immersion. This paper provides user experiments and analysis data in aspects of 3D depth changes. For use of producers, a safety zone and translational velocity of 3D depth changes are introduced. Also, on the viewer side, we present the depth change adaptation time by using an EEG device.
The present and prospect of Online Video, Music service and Media Usage

This study tried to anticipate the near future changes of domestic online video, music service and media usage through the status quo. The research group was focused on the twenties, University students because they are the active media contents users. It surveyed the students in Busan, and used the method of descriptive statistics analysis for the understanding of the present state and near future prospect. This study shows that almost half of them use both services, and three people out of ten are the heavy users who use the services for over 3 hours a week. The streaming method is higher proportion than download method in using type. They are getting accustomed to pay contents cost, but it couldn`t be said the paying content cost has been established. Preferred contents genre appears to be the RMC(Ready Made Contents) such as existing broadcaster contents and movies. Notable result on media usage was the proportion of the so-called `Zero-TV`. It was 32%, significantly higher than the proportion of the total population(4.4%). Integrating the analysis results, we can expect that the usage pattern will be changed gradually, thus the advent of various revenue models will emerge.

Into the 1990s, there have been changes in perception of pop culture consumers by making a distinction between groups that are active, critical and creative. This study aims to establish a theoretical reasoning for conventions organized and participated voluntarily by fans, which has been especially noticeable in the American subculture for a long time, while investigating how fans and all the parties concerned interact at conventions then to expand the imaginary world. To this end, an analysis has been carried out on the conventions for the particular American TV series of Supernatural. The results show that the reason for this drama series maintaining such enduring vitality as if a living thing is attributable to the special bond of sympathy developed between fans and actors and the following interactions between them. Furthermore, in the aspect of cultural sociology, a piece of work can only be completed through unconstrained interpretation of the work and the resultant recreation by the creator and the receiver, which has been ascertained by this study.
The input device system with hand motion using hand tracking technique of CamShift algorithm

The existing input device is limited to keyboard and mouse. However, recently new type of input device has been developed in response to requests from users. To reflect this trend we propose the new type of input device that gives instruction as analyzing the hand motion of image without special device. After binarizing the skin color area using Cam-Shift method and tracking, it recognizes the hand motion by inputting the finger areas and the angles from the palm center point, which are separated through labeling, into four cardinal directions and counting them. In cases when specific background was not set and without gloves, the recognition rate remained approximately at 75 percent. However, when specific background was set and the person wore red gloves, the recognition rate increased to 90.2 percent due to reduction in noise.
Study of Relation Between Consumers` Advertisement Attitude and Need for Cognition for IoT-Implemented Advertisement

This research has been conducted to know the effect of advertisement according to consumer`s need for cognition in the advertisement which is realized technique of the Internet of Things(IoT). The researchers distributed questionnaires and video advertisement, which is realized by using IoT technologies, to university students in the capital area after simple orientation about IoT advertisement. The result was that people who has high consumer`s need for cognition showed more positive attitude to advertisement and it was statistically meaningful. As a result, the research could draw a conclusion that people have different attitude to advertisement that is realized using IoT technologies based on the consumer`s need for cognition.
A Study on Access Control running on Distance Environment for Computer-Based Integrated Multimedia

This paper proposed an access control for computer-based integrated multimedia running on shepherd and SIP(Session Initiation Protocol). But, conventional framework for access control SIP environment has not yet fully progressed a shepherd and an access control for computer-based integrated multimedia running on SIP(Session Initiation Protocol). Session management include function of session creation, session end, late comer process, and access control. Therefore, this paper described access control based on a shepherd and SIP environment to maintain good session condition.
