Narcissistic Self-Presentation on Facebook

The purpose of this study is to examine facebook users` self-presentation on facebook in terms of narcissism and the relationship of narcissistic self-presentation and variables of self-esteem, using patterns, and information types. The results showed that facebook users` self-presentation were not likely to be narcissistic. In self-presenting on facebook users were likely to be exhibition but they are not likely to be ingratiating and competent. And this study failed to support the association of narcissistic self-presentation and self-esteem. But results suggested that facebook using patterns including frequency and period of use affected narcissistic self-presentation. Finally, profile information, but not posting information was correlated with narcissistic self-presentation.
Study on Efficient Responsive Web Design for Individual Search Contents of Korean Portal

Various types of digital displays from PC monitor up to smart watch have been developed in response to the dramatic technological progress of electronics. Accordingly, web content creators have the need to provide web contents respectively depending on the different display environments, which increases production time and costs. As a technique for overcoming this, the responsive web design method has been proposed, which means a web page with the size of the screen being adjusted depending on the types of display. Although the responsive web system is increasingly implemented in the region of contents search pages of domestic portals, there are still many cases that contents are implemented separately for PC and for mobile. In this paper, we investigate the responsive types of the web implementation of contents search pages of domestic portal, and propose an efficient new UI for responsive web to individual types of contents search pages which responsive design is not applied to.
Case Study on Application of Social Learning in Workforce Education

Social learning is a form to support learners` active engagement and participation in learning with other learners and instructors by using social media. The concept of social learning should be considered beyond the simple use of social media for learning or education. This study aims to apply the understanding of social learning based on the theoretical background of social theories of learning in designing and developing a program for workforce education. As a pilot test, the newly developed social learning program was implemented to 302 employees with the title of `Innovative Display Strategy for POP". 138 employees successfully completed the social learning course that focuses on delivering contents in time-line based platform, supporting interactions among students, and working effectively through small smart devices in their workplace. The results were derived from three kinds of data-source: learner`s log data, their final evaluation score, and the survey to measure the satisfaction about social learning. Finally the implications for social learning were discussed in terms of the program revision and directions for future application.
Efficient Metadata Management Scheme in NAND Flash based Storage Device

Recently, NAND flash based storage devices are being used as a storage device in various fields through hiding the limitations of NAND flash memory and maximizing the advantages. In particular, those storage devices contain a software layer called Flash Translation Layer(FTL) to hide the "erase-before-write" characteristics of NAND flash memory. FTL includes the metadata for managing the data requested from host. That metadata is stored in internal memory because metadata is very frequently accessed data for processing the requests from host. Thus, if the power-loss occurs, all data in memory is lost. So metadata management scheme is necessary to store the metadata periodically and to load the metadata in the initialization step. Therefore we proposed the scheme which satisfies the core requirements for metadata management and efficient operation. And we verified the efficiency of proposed scheme by experiments.
An Algorithms for Tournament-based Big Data Analysis

While all of the data has a value in itself, most of the data that is collected in the real world is a random and unstructured. In order to extract useful information from the data, it is need to use the data transform and analysis algorithms. Data mining is used for this purpose. Today, there is not only need for a variety of data mining techniques to analyze the data but also need for a computational requirements and rapid analysis time for huge volume of data. The method commonly used to store huge volume of data is to use the hadoop. A method for analyzing data in hadoop is to use the MapReduce framework. In this paper, we developed a tournament-based MapReduce method for high efficiency in developing an algorithm on a single machine to the MapReduce framework. This proposed method can apply many analysis algorithms and we showed the usefulness of proposed tournament based method to apply frequently used data mining algorithms k-means and k-nearest neighbor classification.
A study on the Information for the Schedule Management of the Construction based BIM

Since the size of the construction project has become massive, complicated and specialized, the use for a substantial amount of information provided from diverse participants is considered important. Schedule information obtained from a variety of sources is key during the construction project. Misunderstanding of schedule management information causes delay of construction period and low quality of construction. Currently, interest in BIM (Building Information Modeling) that produces the necessary data for the entire life cycle of the building process is rising. The study is to construct the BIM-base-information system in order to systematically manage schedule information of the construction work. For this purpose, the study established a BIM-base-schedule-management-business process and drew a classification system for the work for schedule-information construction. The study also drew information that can be extracted from the BIM model among properties required to build certain information. The schedule is made upon consideration of information needed for schedule management, and information required to schedule a timeline of the construction project by process is established.
Interactive Usage of Social Media for Contents Provider : Focusing on Twitter Activities of the TV Series

The development of social media in the 2000s led the unspecified individuals to band together for common interests. Social networking services served as a far-reaching tool for sharing different thoughts and interpretation of the pop culture and helped people build up close relations driven by their common interests for certain works of the pop culture. This Study introduces the TV Series
as a case that displays specific patterns of communication between its producer and viewers. Producer Bryan Fuller of the Series as well as key production staffs were quite active on social networking sites with the understanding of what the audience desired and the willingness to sympathize with them, which were eagerly welcomed by the dedicated audience whose number, though, was not big. For the Hannibal production team, SNS was a means for them to just be consumers who appreciate the work instead of solely being the content provider. Their approach is quite different from unilateral marketing approaches employed in the past. Through this case, the Study aims to suggest that social networking sites serve as a powerful medium connecting producers and viewers or as an information hub, and that how interactive contents shall be delivered in the new media environment to be effective.
A Tetrahedral Decomposition Method for Computing Tangent Curves of 3D Vector Fields

This paper presents the development of certain highly efficient and accurate method for computing tangent curves for three-dimensional vector fields. Unlike conventional methods, such as Runge-Kutta method, for computing tangent curves which produce only approximations, the method developed herein produces exact values on the tangent curves based upon piecewise linear variation over a tetrahedral domain in 3D. This new method assumes that the vector field is piecewise linearly defined over a tetrahedron in 3D domain. It is also required to decompose the hexahedral cell into five or six tetrahedral cells for three-dimensional vector fields. The critical points can be easily found by solving a simple linear system for each tetrahedron. This method is to find exit points by producing a sequence of points on the curve with the computation of each subsequent point based on the previous. Because points on the tangent curves are calculated by the explicit solution for each tetrahedron, this new method provides correct topology in visualizing 3D vector fields.
A Generation of ROI Mask and An Automatic Extraction of ROI Using Edge Distribution of JPEG2000 Image

Today, caused by the growth of computer and communication technology, multimedia, especially image data are being used in different application divisions. JPEG2000 that is widely used these days provides a Region-of-Interest(ROI) technique. The extraction of ROI has to be rapidly executed and automatically extracted in a huge amount of image because of being seen preferentially to the users. For this purpose, this paper proposes a method about preferential processing and automatic extraction of ROI using the distribution of edge in the code block of JPEG2000. The steps are the extracting edges, automatical extracting of a practical ROI, grouping the ROI using the ROI blocks, generating the mask blocks and then quantization, ROI coding which is the preferential processing, and EBCOT. In this paper, to show usefulness of the method, we experiment its performance using other methods, and executes the quality evaluation with PSNR between the images not coding an ROI and coding it.
Study on Service Internship Participation Determinant Contents of Undergraduate Students to Influence Their Career

This study aimed to analyze service internship participation determinant contents of undergraduate students who major in airline service to influence their career. To accomplish this purpose, data collected from 211 students were analysed using logistic regression analysis. Personal characteristic, big 5character factors, social support were analysed as service internship determinant contents. The research results showed grade, GPA, broad experience, flight experience among personal characteristics and extraversion among big 5factors personality as significant service internship determinant contents of students. Also, the research results showed career preparation, career decision making self-efficacy and social support as non-significant service internship determinants of students. It was concluded that active participation with service internship is imperative for undergraduate students in airline service major to enhance career competence upon graduation.
An Improved RSR Method to Obtain the Sparse Projection Matrix

This paper addresses the problem to make sparse the projection matrix in pattern recognition method. Recently, the size of computer program is often restricted in embedded systems. It is very often that developed programs include some constant data. For example, many pattern recognition programs use the projection matrix for dimension reduction. To improve the recognition performance, very high dimensional feature vectors are often extracted. In this case, the projection matrix can be very big. Recently, RSR(roated sparse regression) method was proposed. This method has been proved one of the best algorithm that obtains the sparse matrix. We propose three methods to improve the RSR; outlier removal, sampling and elastic net RSR(E-RSR) in which the penalty term in RSR optimization function is replaced by that of the elastic net regression. The experimental results show that the proposed methods are very effective and improve the sparsity rate dramatically without sacrificing the recognition rate compared to the original RSR method.
Less Informative Region Extraction for Automatically Advertisement Insertion in Sports Image

Recently virtual advertising is located in an important area of interest in the TV market by convenience of application and reduction of cost. The methods of inserting a virtual advertising in broadcasting are Up-link that method insert the image through the production equipment of the broadcasting station and dispatch equipment and technical personnel in the shooting and Down-streaming that method insert a virtual image automatically in relay video using image processing technology. In recent years, the image processing technology is an important research area in the virtual advertising area for automatically insertion of advertising images. In this paper, we propose the method to extract less-informative region in sports video using image processing. The proposed method extracts less-Informative region through rectangle detection of Hough transform and analysis of color histogram distribution.
Work Experience of Irregular Clinical Research Nurses

This research aims to perform an in-depth investigation about meanings and essence of working as clinical research nurses in local general hospitals. In order to interpret and reveal the meanings of role experience, data were collected from objects of 7 participants for 3 months. Data were analyzed by ethnographic research tools of Spradley. Themes conducted from this study were `new experience about social learning process` and `joys and sorrows through study participants `, `lack of specialized learning course in nursing curriculums` and `roles of general research planner`, `one`s own work space` and `proactive work environment that is relaxing and filled with consideration for others`, `hardship of being temporary employees. Clinical research nurses have experienced expansion of roles through new social learning processes. Conclusively, this study will provide useful basic data to develop new curriculum about clinical research nursing for nursing students and to improve working conditions for clinical research nurses.e purpose of this study is to design and implement a sign language dictionary for the deaf to understand information communication terminologies. When the deafs who have difficulties in communication use the internet, they can get help from this dictionary in accessing various types of information and expressing their intension. In order for the deaf to utilize the internet as efficiently as ordinary people, they must understand information communication terminologies first.
Abstraction of players action in tennis games over various platform

This study conducted a case study using various platforms centered on a tennis game to examine what forms the movements of a game player had when they were abstracted in the game. In particular, it summarized the forms of the player`s experience that could be attained from the abstracted tennis actions into the 4 types: movement, swing, direction & intensity, and skill; and observed and schematized them in the early video games, console games, mobile games, Gesture recognition games, and wearable games. In conclusion, the development of technology offers the players with greater experience. For example the change of the platform of simple games of pressing buttons into swinging. Furthermore, the study found a consistency in the context even though the difference of action was slightly found by the interface.
A Study on depth analysis for S3D animation

In this paper, we propose the method for creating a stable stereoscopic 3D contents with the production guidelines by removing the excessive depth value and scene changes for high quality. We have developed a three-dimensional depth analysis tool for detecting the scene changes out of the production guidelines and the depth value changes excessively. The Scenes detected by depth analysis tool can be modified at the post production and it helps to make a stable stereoscopic 3D contents.
The correlation between the study of fusion and Game Development

The game engineering is a fusion study that combines exquisite variety of fusion science and engineering. We presents the relationship between multi-disciplinary fusion and game development with the game developer`s perspective when developing games. Humanities and sociological knowledge and experience with the developers has significant os impacts to refine the ideas on the game. This paper would present the process of the game design, story making based on the planned operation and the communication as between the team members for efficient operation through the process of creating the actual game, it will show the final version of the game. At the same time, it will research for the relationship between a number of studies for each process.
A Plan to Maximizing the Visual Immersion of 3D Media Art

Recently, media art is transforming from analogue to `digital`, and from 2D to `3D`. In particular, the range of utilizing 3D Media Art is getting wider through merging with other genres of contents in the digital environments, such as Media façade, Hologram, Virtual reality, App application, and etc. Therefore, by referring to the 3D award-winning works of Pirx Ars Electronica, which are regarded as the most outstanding works of media art of today, factors that affect sensation of visual immersion have been analyzed, through which strategies for maximizing viewers` interests in media arts and heightening their emotions while viewing have been determined. Based on the findings of the study, it has been shown that such works of media arts that involve development of concepts with `creativity` and `variability` from the perspective of visual concept, such as 3D modeling and mapping, with `consistency` through out all concepts, as well as the works with stronger `restriction` of concept within its animation and postproduction, attracted more interests from the viewer. From the point of view with visual four steps in composition, positioning the change in quality of 3D `shape` and `material` following the four-step rule, and gradual increase of change in quantity within the `number` and `size`, in addition to increased degree of systematization within the change in editing, such as the `scene change`, resulted in more heightened emotions from the viewer. Thus, in order to maximize sensation of visual immersion, strategies for `developing 3D visual concepts` while `synchronizing` them, as well as `strengthening the four steps within 3D visual composition` while `systematizing` them should be emphasized.
