A Study on factors affecting the viewer rating of"My Little Television": Focusing on SNS Big Data

< My Little Television > with the new format which extends one person media broadcasting to terrestrial broadcasting is creating a huge Topic Index. It started the first broadcast on April 2015 and has continued the number one in viewer rating in the same time. While viewers directly participate in the program through the Daum TV Pod and a host communicates with viewers in a real time, various opinions are being reflected on the program. While a lot of information about the program has spread through SNS, it has led to raising the viewer rating of program. Recently, the Topic Index on the program has been published through the big data analysis rather than the program evaluation only by the viewer rating. The research on the correlation between the program viewer rating and amount of buzz has increased. In this study, it has analyzed how the Topic Index which is an extended concept of the amount of buzz affects the viewer rating. Study results show that the Topic Index is analyzed to positively influence the viewer rating. It will give a lot of help in studying big data of SNS on the program.
Query processing model for Internet ontology data change

To provide more efficient and exact search result, internet systems will rely more and more on semantic web. Ontology is one of the important methods for implementation of semantic web. Ontology is used to implement an explicit formal vocabularies to share. However, important problems rise when dealing with ontology. Ontologies are typically subject to change because they are living. In order to handle ontology data change situation, a version handling system is needed to keep track of changes. For example, the queries subject to the previous ontology may become inconsistent and must be updated according to the newest version of ontology. Although many research was done in this area, there are still many problems to overcome. In this paper, we propose class and property transition graph for query transformation. The graph is created when ontology data is changed and applied to query transformation.
Development of DirectX-based Stereoscopic Image Authoring Tool for Immersive e-Book Production

This study aims to develop a stereoscopic image authoring tool to effectively produce e-Book content that enhances user's sense of immersion in 3D environments. The proposed authoring tool consists of three core systems; 3D object editing, stereoscopic image, and image media production systems. First, the object editing system arranges and produces diverse objects that constitute virtual 3D spaces to fit the purpose of the content. In this case, commercial graphic authoring tools are utilized to design efficient data structures that can include produced external models. In addition, the material and textures of objects are made to be revisable and editable into the form wanted by the user. Thereafter, a stereoscopic image system will be implemented to produce the generated virtual scenes into stereoscopic images. This study uses the Anaglyph method so that the user can implement and use stereoscopic image scenes more easily. This method include functions to change the color of stereo cameras and control depth scaling. Finally, an image media production system will be implemented that will enable producing the produced stereoscopic images into single images or videos so that they can be effectively utilized in e-Book content.
Types of Media Combination and Strategy of Interactivity in Digital Signage: A Case Study in view of Media Creative

This study aims to suggest practical ways to interact effectively with consumers based on current situation of 'media creative' and media use patterns. Cases of digital signage are reviewed in the perspective of cross media, and the strategic meanings of cross media are explored according to interactivity. Results are collected through 'Naver' search engine service, and can be possibly assorted into five media combined types: SNS-combined, QR codes or Augmented Reality(AR)-combined, Brand App(application)-combined, Online to Offline-combined, and Behavioral factors-combined ones. Some strategic suggestions on media creative are given for effective interaction with consumers.
Usability Testing of OpenCourseWare(OCW) - Focusing on Students with Visual and Hearing Impairments -

The purpose of the study is to identify the usability of OpenCouresWare(OCW) from the perspective of students with visual and hearing impairments. Twelve college students with disabilities(8 visual and 4 hearing impairment) implemented usability testing. Two modules in both edX and KOCW were selected for testing. Students with disabilities implemented usability testing and then each individual case was analyzed through quantitative and qualitative methods. As results, the degree of general usability in both edX and KOCW indicated an average level and the degree of accessibility in edX module was evaluated higher than KOCW. Specifically, the module of edX was rated highly by students with hearing impairments and the usability level of KOCW module was highly appreciated by blind students.
High Resolution Rainfall Prediction Using Distributed Computing Technology

Distributed Computing attempts to harness a massive computing power using a great numbers of idle PCs resource distributed linked to the internet and processes a variety of applications parallel way such as bio, climate, cryptology, and astronomy. In this paper, we develop internet-distributed computing environment, so that we can analyze High Resolution Rainfall Prediction application in meteorological field. For analyze the rainfall forecast in Korea peninsula, we used QPM(Quantitative Precipitation Model) that is a mesoscale forecasting model. It needs to a lot of time to construct model which consisted of 27KM grid spacing, also the efficiency is degraded. On the other hand, based on this model it is easy to understand the distribution of rainfall calculated in accordance with the detailed topography of the area represented by a small terrain model reflecting the effects 3km radius of detail and terrain can improve the computational efficiency. The model is broken down into detailed area greater the required parallelism and increases the number of compute nodes that efficiency is increased linearly.. A Digital Carousel System based on CoAP for N-Screen Environment

In this paper, we discuss a model for increasing reliability of data through N screen server and client model environment. Our Digital Carousel enables user to share media objects through media synchronization mechanism. We suggest the Digital Carousel system based on CoAP(Constrained Application Protocol) for N-Screen so that the users participated in collaborative work may refer shared media objects as the same view to others. With this sharing system, a group cooperating users can share applications data. This paper explained a performance analysis of a system with function comparison running on multimedia collaboration work based on CoAP and N screen techniques.
SIP Environment based on Shepherd for Industry Safety Service

This paper suggests an environment of a CSCW(Computer Supported Cooperative Works) for industry safety service. A good example of industry safety service is gunpowder. This paper proposed a computer-based integrated multimedia for industry safety service running on shepherd and SIP(Session Initiation Protocol). But, conventional framework has not yet fully progressed a shepherd for computer-based integrated multimedia running on SIP(Session Initiation Protocol). Session management include function of session creation, session end, late comer process, and access control. Therefore, this paper described an environment of integrated multimedia based on a shepherd and SIP environment to maintain good session condition.
