Recently, there're lots of interest in UCC, user-created contents, in the Internet market. the sites providing only the UCC service are beginning to appear. I am going to find out their strengths and weaknesses and the future directions. I started this study by discussing the direction of the UCC business. Now we see that the video UCC contents in the portal sites are growing gradually.
Distributed Mobile Streaming Service using Grouping-based Fuzzy Reference Scheme

In distributed mobile systems, the congestion control and disconnection problems are current major issues. This paper proposes a grouping-based fuzzy reference streaming method to improve the performance of systems supporting distributed mobile transactions. The proposed method resolves transaction requests issued by mobile clients using the GS interface. In the paper disconnection problems are resolved efficiently using transaction read and update for improved streaming service. Experimental results show that the proposed method outperforms the other existing methods significantly.
Transaction Update method based on Fuzzy Chunk for QoS Performance Improvement of Mobile Streaming Service

There exist many QoS problems such as delay and jitter for mobile streaming due to limited bandwidth. This paper proposed a transaction update method based on Fuzzy chunk to solve the problems. The proposed method updated a transaction, which is classified as a read or an update, using Fuzzy filtering. A chunk block is rearranged according to the fuzziness which is classified as better relevance for fuzziness greater than 0.8, relevance for fuzziness between 0.5 and 0.7, and less irrelevance for fuzziness less than 0.5. According to the simulation result for the rearranged chunk block, the proposed method has better performance than those of RBM(Randon Based method), DBM(Distance Based Method), and FBM(Frequency Based Method).
Comparative study of application method of OSMU(One-source Multi-use) in digital contents creation

The basic strategy of OSMU(One-source Multi-use) in digital image is a marketing that applying one source to other genres for leverage based on that cross-referencing in different genre enabled that one material(one-source) has synergy effect when reproduced to various products(multi-use) as cultural sources are available through on-line and digital format. Recently, according to the characteristics of culture industry with Window Effect, many culture contents such as movies, games, animations and characters are carefully planned at its design stage to get the maximum effect. Especially, the fact that one leading-trend source makes it easier to produce additional products with the least cost is observed and it enables organized management which resulted in low marketing and PR cost. This paper confirmed that OSMU strategy in Korea mainly get started from online to offline comparing to Japan and USA.
Real-Time Scheduling in Flow Shop Model Considering Aperiodic Tasks

Research on the flow shop model has mainly been centered around periodic tasks scheduling. In this paper, we present an algorithm using synthetic utilization that can check the schedulability of aperiodic local tasks and aperiodic end-to-end tasks with precedence relation in the flow shop model. If the scheduling algorithm for aperiodic end-to-end tasks executed in the multiple stage pipeline is applied to the flow shop model, sometimes the actually schedulable tasks are decided to be not schedulable because of the fact that the actually unschedulable tasks are decided to be schedulable. The algorithm presented in this paper solves the problem, and the simulation shows that the schedulability increases 10%.
Generating Curved Lines in a Windows based Navigation Mesh

In this paper, methods are proposed for creating a curved line in a navigation mesh, which is used in a windows based virtual reality or games. The main geographies used in a windows based virtual reality or games are created by using either grids or navigation meshes. When using grids, it is difficult to create a natural geography. Multiple grids are needed to ensure precise descriptions, which can result in system overload. A navigation mesh was developed to address this issue since the navigation mesh has the benefit of placing fewer loads on the system than a grid method. The drawback, however, is that the movements of character in navigation mesh are less natural. In this paper, a method for creating a curved line using round curves is proposed in order to resolve this issue. Using the methods for creating a curved line proposed in this paper in a windows based virtual reality or games will eliminate the unnatural or awkward movement of characters that arises in the use of a navigation mesh.

These days Mobile web Full Browsing is getting the issues which displays whole Web Site contents in browser of mobile device. Since the size of browser is too small, in this paper, it recommends a new method that web users can choose variable service and web contents for mobile contents by adopting new platform. The mobile web would be generated automatically to apply the web 2.0 through the web users pattern. The platform is that no one belong in data, anyone can use this, anyone can modify the data, so variable users can create new contents for proper mobile web. It is the Mobilder application which can build Mobile web pages. Any User can make mobile web pages with Mobilder Before producing the program, in this paper, it will build mobile web pages by web users navigation pattern. After analysing the web users pattern, we will produce the mobile web pages through this.
Study on Digitalization of Cultural Archetype Based on the Tale of Cheoyong

Korean traditional culture has a long history and it is rooted in the deep down our national culture. It is like bread and pride for Korean people. The tale of Cheyong is a precious cultural heritage, which has existed in the public awareness of the Korean people since the period of unified Silla. Based on its mysterious and beautiful story, the value of traditional culture can be revealed through development of digital contents. With such precious cultural resource we can digitalize the fun contents which the general public can enjoy. Ways of digitalize of cultural archetype has been suggested by analyzing the content elements of the tale of Cheyong. Also, by making scientific approach to the development process of digitalization, the possibility of digitalization has been found through 3D animation restoration process for Cheyong Dance and the process of making the tale of Cheyong into animation. Through analyzing the contents development process of cultural archetype of the tale of Chetyong, a cultural archetype sourcehas been developed which has a great value as a contents product that can be developed and used as various cultural content art works. With studies on the theory of development method for digitalization of traditional culture, scientific studies and investigation have to be continuously carried out so the digitalization of Korean cultural heritage, which will shine in the world, can be continued as well.
Design and Implementation of Pulse Monitoring System for U-Healthcare

U-Healthcare is one of the major applications in ubiquitous sensor network. U-Healthcare has potential to become a critical service for the people who immediately require emergency ambulatory attention. This paper describes about the real time pulse monitoring and reporting system, consisting of two components: thus, the one is a reliable bio-sensor that continuously monitors the pulse information of the subject, and the other is the automatic transfer system that transmits pulse information to both his/her family and hospital care system through the Base Station. In the hospital, this bio-information can be used to treat the patient accordingly. I designed the pulse information monitored by a bio-sensor module that transfers the pulse information to both the Base Station and the central monitoring system through transmitting protocols such as Zigbee and TCP/IP, as well as designed the architecture of information packets for the corresponding protocols. Furthermore, the central monitoring system automatically parses the pulse information of the subject into the web database server, which can continuously provides the real time information and status of the subject via an internet browser to the clients who are family members of the subject and the authenticated medical care personnel as well.
Design of the Network Computer Architecture based on a Web Browser

By the advancement of computer & network technology, the paridigm of 'Network Computer' has been realizing`. In what is called network computer, computer system and computing resource is incomparably seem to be expanded compared with conventional network technology. Network connected computer system consitute a massive virtual computer, it is possible for people to use an enourmous amout of computing resource distributed widely through the network. It is also possible that we make client lightweight by the use of computer system & all shared computing resources on the network in our computer processing and we call this type of client system as thin-client. Thin-client and network computer are on and the same network paradigm in that both paradigm featuring the active use of computer system and resource on the network. In network computer paragem, network itself is regarded as a basic platform for the transfer of application, so it is possible that client access remote serve system to run remote applications through the network. In this paper, we propose the system architecture for the implementation of network computer by the use of Web browser, X window system and Pyjamas. By the use of network computer proposed in this paper, it is possible for people to run application on the server system as if he run local application, and it is expected to improve the security and maintenance efficiency.
Design of Customized e-Business Training Supporting System (E-TSS) for Developing Countries

Global economy is moving to digital economy accelerated by the rapid development of ICT (information and communication technology). However, the progress in e-business in developing countries has been slow due to the lack of experience, technology, and basic infra structure. One way to solve this problem is to provide them with customized e-business solution, training, and contents service. In this paper, we design an E-business Training Supporting System (E-TSS) for developing countries. It consists of a simple business blog to support business web page and a customized e-business solution. The E-TSS is customized for individual country. This customization becomes more effective utilizing an intelligent agent based upon recognizing unique characteristics such as language and time. The E-TSS is implemented and utilized by APEC (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation) Women's e-Biz Center.
A Proposal on Hybrid-Rank Metrics for Retrieval of Reliable Expert Knowledge in Web

Recently, the participation, opening and joint ownership of the users are important issue. The users want professional and accurate information from web. But users often suffer from retrieving accurate information. Even though the users find information they want, it is not guaranteed that the information is reliable since there are too much information placed on the web. Thus, we propose the novel rank metric to promote reliability and efficiency in information retrieval. In order to verify our approach, we implement a web site based on the proposed rank metric for nonofficial medical science information. The proposed rank metric based on user's level. This is to give score of text through differential rate depending on the user's level. The proposed rank metric enhances the reliability of text which is reflecting the user's mental factor. Thus, this method can be used for enhancing the reliability of text.
Study on Efficient Digital Archive Workflow and Metadata Representation for Image Data Management

As the amount of information increases explosively with the development of society, the need for a digital archive has emerged in order to maintain information efficiently. There is a current standard of digital archive is OAIS(Open Archival Information System) reference model. OAIS reference model is mainly interested in long-term preservation and concerned about comprehensive content. This paper propose digital archive workflow that is used not only for long-term preservation but also for the efficient utilization with the image data. The OAIS reference model and the metadata standard should be added surge information to build a digital archive. Therefore we propose metadata model should be managed based on multi-level classes not only for effective digital image archive but also for utilization.

The study of Artificial Life Art has affected the development of art using artificial life. Artificial Life Art started as a concern for microscopic organisms and has developed into works producing some creativities through the choices of spectators. The interests in real animals have resulted in the production of artificial animals such as cyber pets, and the interests in humans have been led to the creation of avatars. We will analyze the invisible emotional field of Naoko Tosa's works which use cyber pets and avatars, and clarify how the creative changes of Artificial Life Art affect the development of interactive art.
Design and Performance Analysis of an Efficient Cache Managing Strategy for Web Services

With the recent explosion in using of the Internet, the problem of caching web objects has gained considerable importance. Caching on the Internet differs from traditional caching in several ways. Especially, the conventional caching algorithms are not well suited for the Internet caching. The poor performance is mainly due to its unfair treatment of small objects since all the objects are treated the same even though they differ in size. In this paper, I give an overview of caching policies designed for web objects, and provide a new algorithm of my own. I also have performed trace-driven simulations about variable-size replacement algorithms, and derived a new algorithm to improve byte hit-ratio by classifying objects based on their sizes.

The dynamics of business cycles has been changed by the macroscopic economic forces because of the introduction of new technical know-how each year. These the dynamics of business has a significant influence on the investment of enterprise in the information communication field. Today, the most important goal of the IT investment is simply not to lower the production cost any more, but to improve the usefulness for the customers and partners in order to obtain the optimized mass products. Therefore, the enterprises have been concentrating their all abilities on the automation, integration, and optimization of business process using BPM. In addition, they are concentrating their efforts on the business expansion by approaching the technical aspect using RFID application system. However, in order to accomplish a successful enterprise ability, the technical view, business process view, and organization view must be considered together. We suggested the method considering organization view, via the technical element, i.e., RFID system for approaching the business process. Furthermore, we tried the optimization of assignment using Context Analysis methodology and proposed the method to reduce the element with respect to the time, human, and expense by applying the Case Study method that minimizes the iteration times through the transmitted processing procedure and type. The proposed method gave us the expectation that it will bring out the innovative improvement with respect to the time, expense, quality, and customer's satisfaction in the process from the analysis of business process to the analysis and design of system.

Comparison Analysis of Packet Delay Model in IEEE 802.11 Wireless Network

Wireless LAN(WLAN) is a rather mature communication technology connecting mobile terminals. IEEE 802.11 is a representative protocol among WLAN technologies. With the rising popularity of delay-sensitive real-time multimedia applications(video, voice and data) in IEEE 802.11 wireless LAN, it is important to study the MAC layer delay performance of WLANs. In this paper, performance for packet delay model that recently have been proposed schemes is analysed in wireless LAN and proved performance results via simulation.
Parameters to Select the Image Encoding in Real Time Remote Lecture

One of the most significant characteristics of remote real time lecture, the emerging still image standard, is the OOI (Object of Interest) coding. The functionality of OOI is important in applications where certain parts of the image are more important than others. In such cases, these objects need to be encoded at higher quality than the background. JPEG2000 provides a number of OOI coding mechanisms. Many researchers have actively studied the preferred processing from the OOI coding methods to the new methods complementing them. But, there do not exist OOI coding methods suitable for all applications. Therefore, this study shows a criterion to select according to the application requirements for applying the best OOI coding method in JPEG2000 applications, and also shows the experimental results deciding the best parameters in the selected methods.
RCBAC(Relationship-Content based Access Control) Model for User Privacy Protection of Digital Contents in Web 2.0 Environment

The recent web technology has been developed by three mainsprings which include integration, virtualization, and socialization. The web technology provides the increment of the social networking ability. However it deepens the exposure of privacy about personal information as more complicating and difficult problems. Representatively, it is impossible to define and manage the specific relation, so the personal information and interest can be inferred from collecting and summarizing the contents. Also, there are some problems that it is hard to construct the information owner's own social network. Thus this paper proposes the RCBAC(Relationship-Content based Access Control) Model which applies both the concepts of Relationship and Content Semantic to the existing access control methods to protect the user's own digital contents in web 2.0 environment. This method prevents privacy such as personal inclination from being exposed and enables to define and manage the specific relation. By doing this the information owners can construct their social network. This social network can be applied and extended to web contents.
3D Visualization System for Realtime Environmental Data

The ocean ecosystem and the marine farms were damaged after latest oil spill in Taean. They suffered heavily due to the expansion of the red tide on the coast and the sudden changes in water temperature. We should develop the way to deal with various factors to reduce the damage. In this paper, real time data with which are supplied us through many kinds of sensors on measure equipments will be processed to the visualized shape. Simple numeric data and 2D graph will be changed 2D or 3D graphic objects and animations using WPF, a new effect method in user interface area. This visualization system for environmental data shows us various pictures and offers multimedia data communication.
A Diagnostic Database System for PC Maintenance and Repair

Many of the domestic PC manufactures and professional PC repair shops are suffering from lack of efficient diagnostic database systems or CAD tools for diagnosis and repair of PCs. In order to solve this problem, a new diagnostic database system for PC maintenance and repair is presented in this paper. We can perform accurate and rapid diagnosis for the PCs with software and hardware troubles by using proposed database system and thus the number of customers who are satisfied with service results are to be increased. Furthermore our research outputs make it possible the experts in PC repair field accumulate maintenance techniques and enhance the reliability of performance evaluated by customers.
A method for contents management using extended metadata in CDN

CDN(Content Delivery Network) has been used as contents transmission network for transmitting high capacity contents fastly and stably. Main goals of CDN are efficient distribution and management high capacity contents. Current CDN distributes contents by managing contents based on basic metadata created by contents provider. However, existing CDN management system doesn't provide a method for applying additional metadata in content itself that is necessary for efficient contents management and distribution. Since the existing system can not annotate additional information in metadata about contents itself, and can not search contents that user wants. This paper proposes a method for applying additional metadata in existing CDN and implemented it as contents metadata management system(CMMS). A user can search needed contents effectively via CMMS. Also, the searched result can help selecting and managing contents to distribute in CDN.
A Study on the Influence of the Digital Textbook Attribute Factors on the Learning Interest and Learning Satisfaction

The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of the digital textbook attribute factors on the learning interest and learning satisfaction using the structural equation model. In order to accomplish the purpose, the research was carried out with 325 students of digital textbook research school. Attribute factors of digital textbook are divided into self-concept of subjects and attribute factors of subjects. Self-concept of subjects is consist of superiority feeling and confidence. Attribute factors of subjects is interest, a sense of purpose, accomplishment motive. The results of this study can be summarized that the digital textbook attribute factors on the learning interest are signified confidence, interest, a sense of purpose, accomplishment motive. And the digital textbook attribute factors on the learning interest are signified learning satisfaction.
Designing and Implementing 3D Virtual Face Aesthetic Surgery System

The purpose of this study is to implement 3D Face Model, which resembles a user, using 3D Graphic techniques. The implemented 3D Face model is used to further study and implement 3D Facial Aesthetic Surgery System, that can be used to increase the satisfaction rate of patient by comparing before and after facial aesthetic surgery. For designing and implementing 3D Facial Aesthetic Surgery System, 3D Modeling, Texture Mapping for skin, Database system for facial data are studied and implemented independently. The Detailed Adjustment System is, also, implemented for reflecting the minute description of face. The implemented 3D Facial Aesthetic Surgery System for this paper shows more accuacy, convenience, and satisfaction in compare with the existing system.
A study for 'Education 2.0' service case and Network Architecture Analysis using convergence technology

Convergence technology stimulating participation sharing openness to the public of web 2.0 such as Open-API, Mash-Up, Syndication gives diversity to education field. The convergence in education field means the revolution toward education 2.0 and new education reflecting web 2.0 stream is called 'education 2.0'. Education environment can be the space of social network intimately linked between learners, educators and educational organization. Network technology developed in ontology language makes it possible to educate semantically which understands privatized education service and connection. Especially, filtering system by the reputation system of Amazon and the collective intelligence of Wikipedia are the best samples. Education area can adopt actively because learners as educational main body can broaden their role of participation and communicate bilaterally in the equal position. In this paper, new network architecture in contents linkage is introduced and researched for utilization and analysis of the architecture for web 2.0 technology and educational contents are to be converged. Education 2.0 service utilizing convergence technology and network architecture for realizing education 2.0 is introduced and analyzed so that the research could be a preceding research to the education 2.0 platform foundation.
Device Performance Analysis Method for Hybrid Rendering

A Device performance analyzing method for appropriate level in hybrid rendering model is suggested. In recent research, we proposed a hybrid rendering model which is applying a proper shading method to each of polygons consisting of an object. The number of polygon for Gouraud shading and that for flat shading should be considered according to a current device performance and system environments. Therefore, this paper suggests the method to calculate automatically a proper resolution of a mesh of object and a proper level of mixture between Gouraud and a flat shading, considering a current device performance and a preference of end-user. The rendering model is so simple that it can be an efficient replacement to reduce a real-time rendering time since it provides automatically multi-level of rendering resolution to an executing environments. Moreover, it can be adopted in real-time adaptive service for 3D graphic contents like a graphic game under various device environments.
A study on the effective batch image management method

An environment of information sharing is developed as a high-speed growth of internet infrastructure and a fast supply of digital imaging devices. Therefore, developing and supply various digital contents are needed. As occasion demands, the utility of editing tools with a simple image viewer, or programs to need technical education increased. One of subproblems is to take long time for editing images. In this paper, we propose a new method which is a method to edit images in a lump. This method has advantages compared with the previous searching engines in terns of performances and speed. Also, we propose the new approach for developing fusion graphic image contents as binding each advantages of the category. It reduces the production time and costs of contents by the proposed method.
Error Recovery System for Digital Carousel System running on Home Network

Our Digital Carousel enables user to share media objects through media synchronization mechanism. We implemented the Digital Carousel so that the users participated in collaborative work may refer shared media or error objects as the same view to others. In this paper, we discuss a method for increasing reliability through fault tolerance. We describe the design and implementation of the ER running on distributed multimedia environment. ER is a system which is able to recover automatically a software error based on distributed multimedia. This paper explains a performance analysis of an error recovery system running on distributed multimedia environment using the rule-based DEVS modeling and simulation techniques. In DEVS, a system has a time base, inputs, states, outputs, and functions.
