Journal of the Korea Society of Digital Industry and Information Management , volume 11, issue 1, 2015, Pages 1~8
DOI : 10.17662/ksdim.2015.11.1.001
Recently, a high strength concrete(HSC) in excess of 80 MPa is popular to use in the domestic construction field. But there is no design standard of high strength concrete. It is reason why a study about structural behaviors of thin walls is required. In this paper, the accurate Finite Element Method as a virtual test is suggested considering material properties, which are concrete and steel, and the experimental fractural model suggested by Kupfer. It is conducted the comparison evaluation of the ultimate failure loads, lateral-displacements and crack propagation patterns between the results of experimental approach, which were carried on Saheb's test for normal strength concrete and Lee's test for high strength concrete. Therefore it is suggested to use the accurate virtual simulation test method and Ubiquitous Sensor Network(USN) by Finite Element Method for Internet of Things(IoT).

Numerical analysis of PSC box bridge bearings for high speed KTX train vehicles has been carried out as a virtual simulation for Ubiquitous Technology. Improved numerical models of bridge, vehicle and interaction between bridge and train are considered, where bending and torsional modes are provided, whereas the exist UIC code is applied by the simplified HL loading. Dynamic and static analysed results are compared to get Dynamic Amplification Factors (D. A. F.) for maximum deflections and bending stresses up to running speed of 500 km/h. Equation from the regression analysis for the D. A. F. is presented. Sliding distance of the bearings for various KTX running speeds is compared with maximum and accumulated distances by the dynamic behaviors of PSC box bridge. Dynamic and static simulated sliding distances of the bearings according to the KTX running speed are proved as a major parameter in spite of the specifications of AASHTO and EN1337-2 focused on the distance by temperature variations.

Recently, Internet of Things (IoT) have become popular for research and development in many areas. IoT makes a new intelligent network between things, between things and persons, and between persons themselves. Social network service technology is in its infancy, but, it has many benefits. Adjacent users in a social network tend to trust each other more than random pairs of users in the network. In this paper, we propose recommendation technique using social network in Internet of Things environment. We study previous researches about information recommendation, IoT, and social IoT. We proposed SIoT_P(Social IoT Prediction) using social relationships and item-based collaborative filtering. Also, we proposed SR(Social Relationship) using four social relationships (Ownership Object Relationship, Co-Location Object Relationship, Social Object Relationship, Parental Object Relationship). We describe a recommendation scenario using our proposed method.

A novel authentication mechanism is biometric authentication where users are identified by their measurable human characteristics, such as fingerprint, voiceprint, and iris scan. The technology of biometrics is becoming a popular method for engineers to design a more secure user authentication scheme. In terms of physiological and behavioral human characteristics, biometrics is used as a form of identity access management and access control, and it services to identity individuals in groups that are under surveillance. In this article, we review the biometric-based authentication protocol by Althobati et al. and provide a security analysis on the scheme. Our analysis shows that Althobati et al.'s scheme does not guarantee server-to-user authentication. The contribution of the current work is to demonstrate this by mounting threat of data integrity and bypassing the gateway node on Althobati et al.'s scheme. In addition, we analysis the security vulnerabilities of Althobati et al.'s protocol.

Lee, Youngkyo ;
Journal of the Korea Society of Digital Industry and Information Management , volume 11, issue 1, 2015, Pages 79~88
DOI : 10.17662/ksdim.2015.11.1.079
In this paper, it is investigated that the limitation due to the asymmetry of optical power and chromatic dispersion with respect to optical phase conjugator (OPC) for compensating optical signal distortion in WDM system is overcomed by using OPC position offset and optimal dispersion coefficients of fiber sections, which depend on OPC position offset. It is confirmed that overall WDM channels are efficiently compensated by applying the optimal parameter values obtained from the proposed method into 24 channels
Gbps WDM system with non zero - dispersion shifted fiber (NZ-DSF) of 1, 000 km, such as power penalties of inter-channel are reduce to almost 3.5 dB from the infinite value. It is also confirmed that the flexible design of WDM system with OPC is possible by using the optimal parameters, in which OPC is placed at
from 500 km for efficiently compensating overall channels. Thus, the methods proposed in this research will be expected to alternate with the method of making a symmetrical distribution of power and local dispersion in real optical link which generates a serious problem if it was not made but it is the condition in the case of applying the OPC into multi-channels WDM system.

The various services applied internet have been provided by the rapid development of wireless networks and providing multimedia contents are also increasing. It is caused a number of problems such as increasing of network traffic rapidly. P2P technique is gaining popularity for solving these problems. In particular, P2P technique in a wireless network environment has gained much popularity. Among them, MANET-based P2P techniques has been studied actively. It is not easy to be applied the existing technique as it is due to the dynamic topology and low bandwidth by moving nodes in MANET that is consisted of only mobile nodes. In this paper, we proposed sharing group construction technique for providing a stable connection between mobile nodes and reducing the load of network traffic and overhead of sharing group reconfiguration in order to improve data transmission performance between mobile nodes. The sharing group member nodes applied virtual sharing group generation technique with neighboring nodes of 1-hop distance in order to reduce traffic for file sharing. We performed comparative experiments with DHT technique to evaluate the performance of the proposed technique in this paper and the excellent performance is confirmed through experiments.

Journal of the Korea Society of Digital Industry and Information Management , volume 11, issue 1, 2015, Pages 157~169
DOI : 10.17662/ksdim.2015.11.1.157
In digital marketing, means of public relations and marketing of enterprises are changing into marketing techniques of predictive analytics. A significant study can be carried out by an analysis of 'the patterns of customers' uses' using big data on major portal sites and SNSs and their correlation with related keywords. This study analyzes the origins of mythological characters in major brands such as Nike, Hermes, Versace, Canon and Starbucks. Also, it extracts related keywords and relevance using big data on portal sites and SNS and their correlation. Nike marketing that reminds people of 'the goddess of victory, Nike' formed a good combination of the brand with relevance. Most of them are based on Greek mythology and have rich materials for storytelling and artistic values in common. Hopefully, this case analysis of foreign brands would become a starting point of discovering the materials of the domestic mythological characters.
Tunable Q-factor 2-D Discrete Wavelet Transformation Filter Design And Performance Analysis
Shin, Jonghong ;
Journal of the Korea Society of Digital Industry and Information Management , volume 11, issue 1, 2015, Pages 171~182
DOI : 10.17662/ksdim.2015.11.1.171
The general wavelet transform has profitable property in non-stationary signal analysis specially. The tunable Q-factor wavelet transform is a fully-discrete wavelet transform for which the Q-factor Q and the asymptotic redundancy r, of the transform are easily and independently specified. In particular, the specified parameters Q and r can be real-valued. Therefore, by tuning Q, the oscillatory behavior of the wavelet can be chosen to match the oscillatory behavior of the signal of interest, so as to enhance the sparsity of a sparse signal representation. The TQWT is well suited to fast algorithms for sparsity-based inverse problems because it is a Parseval frame, easily invertible, and can be efficiently implemented. The transform is based on a real valued scaling factor and is implemented using a perfect reconstruction over-sampled filter bank with real-valued sampling factors. The transform is parameterized by its Q-factor and its over-sampling rate, with modest over-sampling rates being sufficient for the analysis/synthesis functions to be well localized. This paper describes filter design of 2D discrete-time wavelet transform for which the Q-factor is easily specified. With the advantage of this transform, perfect reconstruction filter design and implementation for performance improvement are focused in this paper. Hence, the 2D transform can be tuned according to the oscillatory behavior of the image signal to which it is applied. Therefore, application for performance improvement in multimedia communication field was evaluated.
