The subjects were 1210 parents(249 fathers and 961 mothers) selected nation widely from 7 cities and several rural area in Korea. the statistics used for data analysis were Fisher's Exact Test, Cramer's V, factor analysis multiple regression, Cronbach's α,and Pearson's correlation. To begin with eighty of 100-item scale were selected through the item analysis and from that 48 items were abstracted through the multiple regression analysis conducted to reduce the length of the scale. Results of factor analysis indicated that the PSS comprised of five factors: general satisfaction parent-child relationship spouse support parent's role conflict support of children. Reliabilities for the domains ranged from 79 to 91. To determine the construct validity of this instrument the Marital Satisfaction Scale and the Proverb about child rearing were administered. The two creterion measures showed significant relationships with the PSS. The final 48 items scale from the current analysis were considered to be critical steps in the development of this assessment device.

Journal of the Korean Home Economics Association , volume 32, issue 1, 1994, Pages 119~132
The purpose of this study was to investigate children's self-perceptions of social competence in three different levels of peer status and to determine the degree of congruence between children's perceptions and teachers' ratings of social competence. The subjects were 46 bpys and 44 girls identified as popular neglected and rejected by peers in preschool and in first and second grades. A sociometric test was used to identify children's peer status. Children's self-perceptions were assessed by the social Competence Scale for Young Children and teachers' assessment of children's competence was collected by a rating scale. The data were analyzed by 3-way ANOVA 2-way MANOVA for repeated measures and pearson product-moment correlations. The results showed that children's self-perceptions of social competence were generally positive and not significantly different by peer status and grade level in three of the four domains. For the maternal acceptance domain the degree of acceptance perceived by neglected group decreased with grade while those of popular children increased. The degree of congruence between children's perceptions and teachers' ratings were different by peer status. Popular children's estimation of their social competence was more congruent with teachers but neglected and rejected children overestimated their competence.

Journal of the Korean Home Economics Association , volume 32, issue 1, 1994, Pages 165~180
The change in the police concerning food and dietary life were analyzed in order to provide bases of establishing policy of food and dietary life properly. The last half one century was divided into six periods as follows ; The period since liberlation from Japanese rule(1945-1949) the 1950's (1950-1959) 1960's (1960-1969) 1970's (1970-1979) 1980's (1980-1989) 1990's (1990-1992). Dietary life by 1960's were a life of distress and policies coducted by government took on an relief supply of food at this period. The study on correlation between the levels of ascorbic acid in diet and serum
Journal of the Korean Home Economics Association , volume 32, issue 1, 1994, Pages 181~188
The purpose of this study is to evaluate nutritional status of ascorbic acid in 96 Korean female college students. Dietary intake level was estimated with three day diet records. Serum ascorbic acid were analyzed with fasting blood. Nutrient intakes was calculated using three different food composition databases ; analysis data of cooked food items ; analysis data of raw foods ; published food composition table. Ascorbic acid intake levels calculated with different food composition databases differed by 15% Using analysis data of cooked foods resulted in the lowest intake level 49.26 mg per day. Main sources of ascorbic acid investigated were Cheju mandarin orange juice and hard persimmon orange juice and Kimchi. Mean value of serum ascorbic acid level was 1.04 mg/dl and 4.2% of subjects were in marginal risk or deficient range. It was found to significantly correlate asscorbic acid intake with serum ascorbic acid content. Correlation coefficient with results calculated using analyzed data was higher than that using published data. Serum levels and mean daily intake levels of ascorbic acid in the subjects were significantly correlated. From these results it is concluded that ascorbic acid content of cooked foods should be included in the Food Composition Tables in Korea. Korean female college students were in lower risk of ascorbic acid deficiency.

A survey of the training of student for future dietitian at various food-service institutions
Journal of the Korean Home Economics Association , volume 32, issue 1, 1994, Pages 199~210
My purpose in the paper is to research on what is the most productive education method for the Students for Future Dietitian(SFD) to be applied during there field training & practice. Furthermore it is an attempt to elucidate what is the most necessary education program for the field training & practice for SFDs. Five questionnaires were given to SFDs dealing with nutrition purchase hygienic facilities and official management in order to check and evaluate the current situation and problems on the education of field training & practice for SFDs Also I chose 140 SFD's who had been working in the field for at least one week or one month in 1992 and statistical processing were utilized and analyzed by SAS package. One of the most notable problems SDFs faced with during meal planning it is the fact that they had been educated and requested for the cut of food expenditure rather than the supply of scientifically balanced-nutrition meals for working people, SFDs also faced with of information on the quantity and facilities management from the dietitian in the company. my research revealed that dietitian's teaching method for SFDs still remains in a very primitive way and accordingly the efficient way to solve these problems shall be established by a computerized education program through which dietitians can provide well-balanced meals for working people when they are assigned to the company. In this regard we must consider that we have to enact certain law to be applied to a dietitian. In another words we should emphasize actual experiences of SFDs' knowledge accumulated through the field training & practice before they work at the company. Consequently it is a time to reconsider the importance of well-balance dietitian program offering an opportunity for SFD which can contribute to improvement of health's condition for the working people.
The Comparative Consideration on the Basic pattern of Geo-go-ri
Journal of the Korean Home Economics Association , volume 32, issue 1, 1994, Pages 211~228
We consider the irrational part of the basic pattern drafting of the Geo-Ko-ri so that we want to design it more scientically. So there are problems which is found after we considered with comparison about the existingly basic pattern drafting of Geo-go-ri. (1) there is a difference between the practical and Calculation. (2) The part of the curved line was mad indistinctly There is a difference betweence the calculating expression and calculating value. (4) There are some parts which lack objectivity about the reference size. (5) The calculating method of Collar-width and Neck-Nidth are not formative and rational. These are items that we must consider and study further. Especially if we can make up of the scientific form in consideration of the formativeness focused on "git" I think it will make a great contribution to not only the standardization of the basic pattern of Geo-go-ri and the use of the use of education but also the manufacture of individual clothing the production by Auto CAD. Auto CAD.
Studies on the Dyeing with plant pigments -extraction and UV/VIS spectrum of Carthamus flower-
Journal of the Korean Home Economics Association , volume 32, issue 1, 1994, Pages 229~238
The purpose of this study was to investigate the objectification of coloring matter abstraction of the way to natural dye by cathamus flower. Watersoluble carthamin in the dyeing cathamus flower was removed for the fastness of dyeing and only insoluble carthamon was abstracted which came by solvent such as Sodium hydroxide(NaOH) Potassium hydroxide(KOH) Sodium carbonate(Na2CO3)and Potassi-um carbonate(K2CO3) Carthamon made abstract essence from a carthamus flower out of the pH6, pH7, pH9, pH11, solvent and by using a UV/VIS Spectra according to the change of pH. Silk dyes with solution abstract carthamon and it was treated by 5 kinds of mordant. The table of surface-colors was measured by the number of dyeing the color of silk dyed and by the kind of mordant which treated with and the dyeing was evaluated by measuring Color Fastness to Light and Washing.
