Journal of the Korean Home Economics Association , volume 40, issue 7, 2002, Pages 1~14
This study investigated infant, mother/famny, and nonmaternal care characteristics contribution to infant- mother attachment through ecological perspective. Participants were forty 12-to 18-month-o1d infants and their mothers. Infants were observed in the Strange Situation to assess the pattern of infant-mother attachment; the Observational Ratings of the Caregiving Environment was used to assess the caregiving environment. Mothers were interviewed with the questionnaires, and observed in the laboratory "living room". There were significant effects of material sensitivity/responsiveness and good quality child care on secure attachment. Infant, mother/family, and nonmaternal care characteristics were mutually related.
The Effect of Fusible Interlining on the Appearance related Properties & Mechanical Characteristics of the Lyocell Fabrics(II)
Journal of the Korean Home Economics Association , volume 40, issue 7, 2002, Pages 15~24
In this work, the effect of fusible interlining on the appearance related properties and mechanical characteristics of Lyocell fabric after fusing was investigated. Two different types(20's and 10's) of Lyocell face fabric with six different interlining(by thickness and structure) for earth Lyocell fabric were examined. In order to establish the optimum fusing condition for the different face fabric and interlining, peel strength of each fused fabric was measured, which was dependent on the fusing temperature, pressure, and time. The characteristics related appearance and mechanical characteristics of each fused fabric were determined. The results are as follows: The peel strength was excellent, when the fabric was fused with the force of 3kgf/
for 15seconds. Flex stiffness, G, 2HG, 2HG5(shear), B, 2HB(bending) of 100% Lyocell fabric 10's were higher than those of 100% Lyocell 20's. Flex stiffness, crease recovery, G, 2HG, B, 2HB of thicker woven interlining were higher than those of thinner woven interlining. Crease recovery of twill interlining were higher than those of plain interlining. In case of shear and bending properties, however, plain interlining was higher than twill interlining. Flex stiffness, crease recovery, G, 2HG, 2HG5, B, 2HB of nonwoven interlining were higher than those of woven interlining. In case of drapability, however, woven interlining was higher than nonwoven interlining.

(3) Among five dimensions of emotional intelligence for boy, the effective variable was emotional utilization. And among six dimensions of stress, the effective variables were home-environment stress and school-related stress. Among fine dimensions of emotional intelligence for girl, the effective variables were emotional expression and emotional recognition. And among six dimensions of stress, the effective variables were friend-related stress and parent-related stress.

The subjects of this study were 359 residents who lived in Gwang-Ju and who were surveyed by questionnaire in 2000. Data was analyzed with the statistical methods of frequency, percentage, mean and chi-square. The main results of this study were as follows: 1) About 64% of the residents knew the rental housing law 2) Degree of recognition about the rental housing law was significant on age, apartment size, housing rental deposit, and monthly rental fee. 3) About 92% of the residents didn't read the rental housing law. 4) Degree of reading about the rental housing law was not significant on the level of housing characteristics. Development of a Web Based Learning Environment for Problem Solving using ICT in Home Economics Education
Journal of the Korean Home Economics Association , volume 40, issue 7, 2002, Pages 69~82
The objective of this study was to develop a Web based learning environment for Home Economics Education(HEE) using ICT (Information & Communication Technology). For the study, the following procedures were performed: 1) the review of literature, 2) development of teaming environment and questionnaires based on Web for HEE using ICT. The Web based learning environment was investigated and designed, and evaluated by the users. The problems indicated through the evaluation were revised and complemented. In addition, 13 sets of Learning questionnaires, which were verified using the same procedure as above, were developed to provide problem solving ability through the Web based learning environment. Learning environment based on the Web entitled "Together with the classroom of HEE" has a main menu, which is composed of rooms for HEE, students, teachers, various topics, recommendation sites, chatting, and e-mail. A room for HEE, in which teaming activity mainly occurs by following the sequences of learning procedures, includes other sub-rooms for the guidance of Loaming, discussion, directories for reference, question and answer, submission of homework, evaluation, and an encyclopedia. Therefore, this study implicates: 1) achievement of teaming environment using the ICT mainly made by students who solve problems closely related to daily life, 2) development of practical learning questionnaires fitted in the present state, 3) preparation for the curriculum. Finally, from this study, I suggested that further studies are needed to develop models for learning, interaction between students and teachers, and the learning materials under the Web based loaming environment.

The principals were of the similar opinion but the educational professionals wanted dual qualification for both'Technology'and'Home Economics'. As for teaching methodology all 3 groups responded that from the teacher and student perspective the teaching should be divided whereas from the school's perspective the responsibility should be put on a single teacher. 4) Teachers responded that from the perspective of the teacher, parent or student Technology and Home Economics should be separated into taro subjects. On the other hand the principals and educational specialists agreed that from their own perspective Technology and Home Economics should remain an integrated subject and the teaching should be done by one teacher but replied that from the student or parent perspective division of responsibility in teaching would be appropriate.

The purpose of this study is to characterize body types of males in their twenties, and to provide information on body types of males by classifying them into groups. In addition, this study attempts to provide ways that can help improve the fit and coverage rate of ready-to-wear clothes by developing an apparel sizing system according to body types. 297 male subjects in their twenties participated in this study. 54 anthropometric and 35 photographic measurements were taken from each subject. After combining the body types of the front and the side into a whole body, we selected typical body types out of the combinations. To develop a new size system of clothes, the distribution of sizes was determined by using means and standard deviations for basic parts of each body type. Then, the most optimal sizes were selected separately for each body type to maximize the coverage rate.
