Sensorless Control Method of the BLDC Motor Without Neutral Point

Generally, brushless DC motor(BLDCM) driving system uses hall sensors or encoders as the mechanical position or speed sensor. It is necessary to achieve the informations of rotor position for driving trapezoidal type brushless DC motor without any position sensor. In this paper, the commutation signals are obtained without the motor neutral voltage, multistage analog filters, A/D converters, or the complex digital phase shift circuits which are indispensable in the conventional sensorless control algorithms. In the proposed method, in stead of detecting the zero crossing point of the nonexcited motor back electromagnetic force for the average motor terminal to neutral voltage, the commutation signal are extracted directly from the specific average line to line voltage with low-pass filter, adder and comparators circuit. In contrast to conventional methods, the neutral voltage is not need; therefore, the commutation signals are insensitive to the common mode noise. Moreover, the complex phase shift circuit can be eliminated. The effectiveness of the proposed method is verified through simulation results.
A Study on Energy Recovery Circuit in Sputtering Plasma Power supply for arc Discharge Prevention

Recently, in the field of renewable energy such as solar cells including the semiconductor and display industries, thin film deposition process is being diversified. Furthermore, to deal with trend of making high-quality and fast, the high-capacity and output plasma power supply which can control high density plasma is required. The biggest problem is arc discharge caused by using high voltage power supply. Thus, the key function of plasma power supply is to prevent arc discharge and there is a need to maintain the possible minimum arc energy. In DC sputtering power supply, on a periodic basis (-)voltage powering up is able to significantly reduce arcing, as well as arc discharge prevention, and maintaining uniform charge density. This conventional method for powering up (-)voltage requires heavy mutual inductance of the transformer to avoid distortion problem of the output voltage. This study is about energy recovery circuit for arc discharge prevention in sputtering plasma power supply. By using energy recovery circuit, it is possible to reduce the mutual inductance and size of the transformer dramatically, prevent distortion of the output voltage and has a stable output waveform. This work was proved through simulation and experimental study.
Analysis of Current Ripple for Two-Phase Interleaved Boost PFC

An interleaved boost converter has many advantages such as current ripple reduction, switching effective double, etc. Due to these advantages, the interleaved boost converter applies to the power factor correction circuit. However, there are almost no analysis results because the input voltage and current are time-varying system in the power factor correction application. Therefore, in this paper, the current ripples of the power factor correction circuit using single-phase boost dc-dc converter and 2-phase interleaved boost dc-dc converter are compared and analyzed in detail. In order to verify the validity, computer simulation and experimental are performed.
A Study on the Optimal Driving by Analysis on EMU Running Result and Simulation

As people are getting concerned to Environment recently, researches on the environmentally-friendly and effective railway system have been conducted in every aspects. Especially as it became known that the pattern of train driving causes the difference in energy consumption, the researches on the train driving to minimize the energy consumption are gaining a lot of interest. The main study showed the optimal driving to minimize energy consumption while driving after analyzing real driving data measured by EMU of Bundang-line real driving, determining the impact on energy consumption due to train driving pattern changes, executing a variety of simulation on real driving patterns by Matlab Simulink and finally driving between stations by given driving times.
The Effect of Load Conditions for the Power of Mg-Air Fuel Cell

The power characteristics of the Mg-Air fuel cell were investigated with regard to variation of load conditions. The types of load current using for the Mg-Air fuel cell with 10% NaCl electrolyte were step type, ramp type and pulse type. It was found that transient phenomena occurred in the step current load, which is due to activate of the oxidation-reduction reaction process. And the transient time increase with the load current increase. In the load current of ramp type, the slop of voltage drop increased with current load slop
increase. The load voltage and power decreased according to the pulse period of load current decrease were attributed to the metal sludges.
The Consideration of the Development Testing for LED type In-pavement Aeronautical Lights

Aeronautical lights, which are internationally standardized sequence of colors and placements, are aeronautic safety devices that provide visual information to pilots by continuously adjusting their light intensity to appropriate level. In this paper, we consider the development testing for in pavement LED aeronautical light system such as taxiway centerline, stop line and temporary stop line. The test results of LED sourced lights have shown a drastic improvement in power consumption levels and cost efficiency compared to their halogen sourced counterparts The LED light used only 42.7% as much power as their halogen sourced counterparts. Taking installation costs into account, LED will cost only 58% of its halogen counterparts. These results suggest that developing the LED sourced aeronautical light would result in globally competitive products thar guarantees satisfaction to their consumers, and that both cost effective and energy efficient.
A Broadband Monopole Antenna with Ring Loop By Modified Ground Plane

In this paper, a wideband monopole antenna with ring loop by modified ground plane is presented. The proposed antenna consist of monopole antenna, ring loop by ground plane. This antenna is fed CPW-fed and wide slot antenna of a novel structure for broadband characteristics is proposed. To enhance the impedance bandwidth of the wide slot antenna, we proposed the wide slot structure with CPW-fed which is combined with four
rectangular radiation modified monopole and inductively coupled. The measured impedance bandwidth is about 2.5 GHz(3.65~6.15 GHz) then less -10 dB.
