Spectrum Sensing Scheme Using the Ratio of the Maximum and the Minimum of Power Spectrum

Recently, a spectrum sensing technique employing the maximum value of a received power spectrum as a test statistic has been presented in the literature for the purpose of detecting a wireless microphone signal in TV bands This detects the presence of a primary user by comparing the test statistic with some threshold, which depends on the background noise power level as well as a target false alarm rate. Therefore its performance may deteriorate when the noise power uncertainty occurs. As a means to mitigate this difficulty, we present a spectrum sensing strategy adopting the ratio of the maximum and the minimum value of the power spectrum as a test statistic and analyze its performance of spectrum sensing.
A Low-Complexity Algorithm for Inter-Cell Interference Coordination and User Scheduling in Downlink Heterogeneous Networks

Heterogeneous network (HetNet) is a network consisting of macrocells overlaid with small cells. In HetNet, the interference from macrocell to small cell users is a major cause of performance degradation of small cell users and enhanced inter-cell interference coordination (eICIC) is needed to mitigate the interference. Previous works on eICIC gives limited performance gain because these works focus on maximizing long-term throughput and rarely consider varying channel conditions over frames. This paper proposes a new algorithm which dynamically coordinates interference and schedules users on each frame to maximize the total utility of the network with lower computational complexity than exhaustive search. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm achieves higher total throughput than the throughput with the conventional algorithm, and has higher fairness index than the conventional algorithm when there large number of users.
WBAN LI Protocol for Improving Lifetime of Implant Sensor in Body

A implanted sensor's error probability is more likely to external sensor's error probability by biological characteristic in WBAN. In this paper, we present method that external sensor transmits frame instead of doing implanted sensor's retransmission for improving lifetime of implanted sensors in WBAN. The proposed method, LI(Lifetime Increment) protocol is to add external sensor's id in transmission data frame of a implanted sensor. When the retransmission is required, external sensor that have to registered id in data frame retransmits frame instead of implanted sensors' retransmission. The comparison result shows that the proposed protocol reduces power consumption and improves life time.
A Beamformer Construction Method Via Partial Feedback of Channel State Information of MIMO Systems

For wireless communication systems of (and beyond) LTE-Advanced, multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) with an increased number of antennas will be utilized for system throughput improvement. When using such an increased number of antenna, an excessive amount of overhead in channel state information (CSI) feedback can be a serious problem. In this paper, we propose methods which reduce the CSI feedback overhead, particularly including application strategies for multi-rank transmission targeted for two or more reception antennas. To reduce the information which is instantaneously transmitted from the reception node to the transmission node, we present a beamforming method utilizing singular value decomposition (SVD) based on channel estimation of partitioned antenna arrays. Since the SVDs for partial matrices of the channel may lose the characteristics of the original unpartitioned matrix, we explain an appropriate scheme to cope with this problem.
Design and Implementation of a Low-Complexity and High-Throughput MIMO Symbol Detector Supporting up to 256 QAM

This paper presents a low-complexity and high-throughput symbol detector for two-spatial-stream multiple-input multiple-output systems based on the modified maximum-likelihood symbol detection algorithm. In the proposed symbol detector, the cost function is calculated incrementally employing a multi-cycle architecture so as to eliminate the complex multiplications for each symbol, and the slicing operations are performed hierarchically according to the range of constellation points by a pipelined architecture. The proposed architecture exhibits low hardware complexity while supporting complicated modulations such as 256 QAM. In addition, various modulations and antenna configurations are supported flexibly by reconfiguring the pipeline for the slicing operation. The proposed symbol detector is implemented with 38.7K logic gates in a
CMOS process and its throughput is 166 Mbps for
16-QAM and 80Mbps for
64-QAM where the operating frequency is 478 MHz.
Performance Analysis for The Coordinate Interleaved Orthogonal Design of Space Time Block Code in The Time Selective Fading Channel

In this paper, we consider the performance evaluation of space time block code (STBC)) with coordinate interleaved orthogonal design (CIOD) over time selective channel. In case of quasi static channel, STBC-CIOD satisfies full rate and full diversity (FRFD) property with the single symbol decoding. However in the time selective channel, the symbol interference degrades the system performance when we employ the single symbol decoding. We derive the union bound of the symbol error probability by evaluating the pairwise error probability in the first order Markov channel. We also present simulation results of STBC-CIOD with QPSK.
Mobile Healthcare System for Personalized Emergency Management

In mobile healthcare service, the accurate detection and the notification of the emergency situation are important to chronic patients' life. In the existing healthcare service, the medical staff or medical service provider always judges patients' health status by monitoring from the measured from bio-data. However, it is difficult to monitor many patients in real-time simultaneously, because the medical staff should monitor the health status continuously. Furthermore, an emergency condition diagnosis based solely on the statistical level of the bio-data may be difficult, since the emergency judgment of the bio-data might differ depending on the health characteristics of each person such as age, history of disease, gender, etc. In order to solve this problem, this article presents an mobile healthcare system for emergency bio-data management using a personalized emergency policy. The salient feature of the proposed mobile healthcare system is that the characteristics of the health status of an unique patient is defined to the policy, which is used to judge the emergency condition of the bio-data measured from the patient. The prototype of proposed mobile healthcare system has been built to demonstrate the design concept.

A low-N phase-locked loop clock generator with frequency multiplier is proposed to improve phase noise characteristic. Delay-variance voltage converter (DVVC) generates output voltages according to the delay variance of delay stages in voltage controlled oscillator. The output voltages of average circuit with the output voltages of DVVC are applied to the delay stages in VCO to reduce jitter. The HSPICE simulation of the proposed phase-locked loop clock generator with a
CMOS process shows an 11.3 ps of peak-to-peak jitter.
A Study on the Optical Transmittance of High-energy Electron-beam Irradiated IGZO Thin Films

In this paper, we investigated the effects of high-energy electron beam irradiation (HEEBI) on the optical transmittance of InGaZnO (IGZO) films grown on transparent Corning glass substrates, with a radio frequency magnetron sputtering technique. The IGZO thin films deposited at low temperature were treated with HEEBI in air at room temperature (RT) with an electron beam energy of 0.8 MeV and doses of
. The optical transmittance of the IGZO films was measured using an ultraviolet visible near-infrared spectrophotometer (UVVIS). The detailed estimation process for separating the transmittance of HEEBI-treated IGZO films from the total transmittance of IGZO films on transparent substrates treated with HEEBI is given in this paper. Based on the experimental results, we concluded that HEEBI with an appropriate dose of
causes a maximum increase in the transparency of IGZO thin films. We also concluded that HEEBI treatment with an appropriate dose shifted the optical band gap (
) toward the lower energy region from 3.38 to 3.31 eV. This
shift suggested that HEEBI in air at RT with an appropriate dose acts like a thermal annealing treatment in vacuum at high temperature.
Novel Intensity-Based Fiber Optic Vibration Sensor Using Mass-Spring Structure

In this paper, a novel intensity-based fiber optic vibration sensor using a mass-spring structure, which consists of four serpentine flexure springs and a rectangular aperture within a proof mass, is proposed and its feasibility test is given by the simulation and experiment. An optical collimator is used to broaden the beam which is modulated by the displacement of the rectangular aperture within the proof mass. The proposed fiber optic vibration sensor has been analyzed and designed in terms of the optical and mechanical parts. A mechanical structure has been designed using theoretical analysis, mathematical modeling, and 3D FEM (Finite Element Method) simulation. The relative aperture displacement according to the base vibration is given using FEM simulation, while the output beam power according to the relative displacement is measured by experiment. The proposed vibration sensor structure has the advantages of a simple structure, low cost, and multi-point sensing characteristic. Robust Facial Expression Recognition Based on Signed Local Directional Pattern

In this paper, we proposed a new local micro pattern, Signed Local Directional Pattern(SLDP). SLDP uses information of edges to represent the face's texture. This can produce a more discriminating and efficient code than other state-of-the-art methods. Each micro pattern of SLDP is encoded by sign and its major directions in which maximum edge responses exist-which allows it to distinguish among similar edge patterns that have different intensity transitions. In this paper, we divide the face image into several regions, each of which is used to calculate the distributions of the SLDP codes. Each distribution represents features of the region and these features are concatenated into a feature vector. We carried out facial expression recognition with feature vectors and SVM(Support Vector Machine) on Cohn-Kanade and JAFFE databases. SLDP shows better classification accuracy than other existing methods.
Fireworks Modeling Technique based on Particle Tracking

A particle system is used for modeling the physical phenomenon. There are many traditional ways for simulation modeling which can be well suited for application including the landscapes of branches, clouds, waves, fog, rain, snow and fireworks in the three-dimensional space. In this paper, we present a new fireworks modeling technique for modeling 3D firework based on Firework Particle Tracking (FPT) using the particle system. Our method can track and recognize the launched and exploded particle of fireworks, and extracts relatively accurate 3D positions of the particles using 3D depth values. It can realize 3D simulation by using tracking information such as position, speed, color and life time of the firework particle. We exploit Region of Interest (ROI) for fast particle extraction and the prevention of false particle extraction caused by noise. Moreover, Kalman filter is used to enhance the robustness in launch step. We propose a new fireworks particle tracking method for the efficient tracking of particles by considering maximum moving range and moving direction of particles, and shall show that the 3D speeds of particles can be obtained by finding the rotation angles of fireworks. Also, we carry out the performance evaluation of particle tracking: tracking speed and accuracy for tracking, classification, rotation angle respectively with respect to four types of fireworks: sphere, circle, chrysanthemum and heart.
High Performance Pattern Matching algorithm with Suffix Tree Structure for Network Security

Pattern matching algorithms are widely used in computer security systems such as computer networks, ubiquitous networks, sensor networks, and so on. However, the advances in information technology causes grow on the amount of data and increase on the computation complexity of pattern matching processes. Therefore, there is a strong demand for a novel high performance pattern matching algorithms. In light of this fact, this paper newly proposes a suffix tree based pattern matching algorithm. The suffix tree is constructed based on the suffix values of all patterns. Then, the shift nodes which informs how many characters can be skipped without matching operations are added to the suffix tree in order to boost matching performance. The proposed algorithm reduces memory usage on the suffix tree and the amount of matching operations by the shift nodes. From the performance evaluation, our algorithm achieved 24% performance gain compared with the traditional algorithm named as Wu-Manber.

This paper proposes the constructing method of effective multiplier using basis transformation. Th proposed multiplier is composed of the standard-dual basis transformation circuit module to change one input into dual basis the operation module to generate from bm to bm+k by the m degree irreducible polynomial, and the polynomial multiplicative module to consist of

An Optimal Design of a TDMA Baseband Modem for Relay Protocol

This paper describes a design of an adaptive baseband modem based on TDMA(time division multiple access) with a relay protocol function for wireless personal area networks. The designed baseband modem is controlled by a master synchronization signal and can be configured a relay network up to 14 hops. For efficient data relay communications, the internal buffer design is optimized by implementing a priority memory bus controller to a single port memory. And the priority memory bus controller is also designed to minimize the number of synthesized logic gates. To implement the synchronization function of the narrowband TDMA relay communication, the number of gates has been reduced by dividing the frame synchronization circuits and the network slot synchronization circuits. By using these methods, the number of gates are used about 37%(34,000 gates) on Xilinx FPGA XC6SLX9 which has 90,000 gates. For the 1024-bit frame size with a 32-bit synchronization word, the communication reception rate is 96.4%. The measured maximum transmission delay of the designed baseband modem is 230.4 msec for the 14-hop relay communication.
Traffic Lights Detection Based on Visual Attention and Spot-Lights Regions Detection

In this paper, we propose a traffic lights detection method using visual attention and spot-lights detection. To detect traffic lights in city streets at day and night time, the proposed method is used the structural form of a traffic lights such as colors, intensity, shape, textures. In general, traffic lights are installed at a position to increase the visibility of the drivers. The proposed method detects the candidate traffic lights regions using the top-down visual saliency model and spot-lights detect models. The visual saliency and spot-lights regions are positions of its difference from the neighboring locations in multiple features and multiple scales. For detecting traffic lights, by not using a color thresholding method, the proposed method can be applied to urban environments of variety changes in illumination and night times.
Digital Forensics for Android Location Information using Hierarchical Clustering

Recently, as smartphones are widespread, a variety of user's information is created and managed in smartphones. Especially the location information can show the user's position at a specific time and the user's area of interest, which could be very useful during criminal investigation. Although the location information plays an important role in solving the crimes such as serial murder, rape and arson cases, there is a lack of research on location information for digital forensics. In this paper, we analyze the location information from logs, images, and applications on android, and we suggest the integrated model for analyzing location information. The proposed model may be useful in criminal investigation by improving the efficiency of data analysis and providing information about a criminal case.
Design of Multi-node Real-time Diagnostic and Management System Using Zigbee Sensor Network

In this paper, a multi-node real-time diagnostic and management system based on zigbee sensor network is proposed, which is to monitor and diagnose multiple nodes as well as to control the data generated from the various multiple sensors collectively. The proposed system is designed to transmit the collected wireless and wired data to the server for monitoring and controling efficiently the condition for multi-nodes by taking the corresponding actions according to the analysis. The system is implemented to make it possible to manage the sensor data by classifying them, of which data are issued from the clustered sources with a number of the remote sensors. In order to evaluate the performance of the proposed system, we measure and analyze both the transmission delay time according to the distance and the data loss rate issued from multiple sensors. The results shows that the proposed system has a good performance.
The PHR Pilot Service for Specific Cancer Patients

'Personal Healthcare Records' (PHR) is a service for providing individual clinical data to patients. PHR service should be useful for the patient and healthcare service providers. This study has aimed at not only providing patients' clinical data but also developing optimized healthcare service for every patients. The research has been conducted as 3 phases: formal case analysis, caregivers interviews and patients interviews. The patients interviews were limited to cancer patients. As results, 3 key functions have been developed. First, it offers patient's clinical pathway as a personalized medical treatment scheduler. Second, it supplies Question & Answer board on online. Last, it supports patients to input their healthcare record. This Myongji PHR service has 3 months of pilot test on web and mobile application(android version). For further commercialized PHR service, the standardization for clinical pathway registration and user convenience need to be considered.
Mixed Deployment Methods for Reinforcing Connectivity of Sensor Networks

Practical deployment methods for sensor nodes are demanding as applications using sensor nodes increase. In particular, node connectivity is crucial not only for the network longevity but also for direct impacts on sensing and data collection capability. Economic requirement at building sensor networks and often limited access for sensor fields due to hostile environment force to remain at random deployment from air. However, random deployment often result in lost connection problem and inefficient network topology issue due to node irregularity. In this paper, mixed deployment of key nodes that have better communication capability is proposed to support the original deployment into working in an efficient way. Node irregularity is improved by introducing mixed nodes and an efficient mixed node density is also analyzed. Simulation results show that the mixed deployment method has better performance than the existing deployment methods.
Implementation of Computerized Assistant Diagnosis Software for Tongue Diagnosis in the Oriental Medicine

Development of an objective diagnosis index for diagnosing a the beginning nature of a disease is the most one of tongue diagnosis in the oriental medicine. However, previous systems have a difficult problem in the creation of objective diagnosis index, and focused on the expert system that can diagnose automatically without an oriental doctor behavior. Therefore, computerized assistant diagnosis software for calculating an optimized diagnosis index is proposed in this paper. This software is operated by the diagnosing behavior of oriental doctor. As developed software is a semi-automatic system, manual method is used to segment a tongue body. Futhermore, numerical diagnosis indices including the color information of non-tongue coating and tongue coating, WTCI are provided to oriental doctor automatically and real-timely. Also, probability estimation value for classifying no coating, thin coating, and thick coating is presented by using the tongue coating area ratio, and EMR chart can use for convenience of diagnosis. In order to evaluate the effectiveness of the our developed software, after building a various tongue image from 60 subjects, we experimented on diagnosis image with our software. As a result, the developed software showed the 95% use-effectiveness of subjects.
A Study on The Frequency Allocation of WAVE for Smart Vehicle Industry

A recent trend of 'Smart Technology' has changed the simple and normal car into smart vehicle. Smart vehicle has a complex aspects of technologies and Wireless Access in Vehicular Environment (WAVE) is the technology that is mentioned for the communication infrastructure of Smart Vehicle. The current status about WAVE in Korea, however, is not good to be used in smart vehicular communication. The reason for that is that the frequency band for WAVE is not assigned or allocated in Korea. In this paper, we will explore the current status of technology standard for WAVE and investigate the way of frequency allocation for WAVE with the survey analysis from the smart vehicle industry.
A Novel Method for Material Rendering and Real Measurement of Thickness Using Ultrasound

In this paper, we present a method for optical parameter-based material rendering with measuring the thickness of a material using ultrasonic waves. Thickness is an important element in determining the reflectance and transmittance of a material along with its optical characteristics and plays a crucial role in more realistic object rendering. In studies conducted thus far, thickness has been measured and used for rendering. The proposed method is a novel method attempted for the first time ever to render a material considering the thickness of a material whose thickness cannot be measured by visual assessment, using ultrasonic waves. It was implemented by measuring the sound velocity of the reference sample and applying the results to the thickness measurement of other objects that have the same characteristics. The characteristics of the objects measured are reflected in the quality of the final rendering, thus verifying the importance of thickness in rendering.
Binary Tree Architecture Design for Support Vector Machine Using Dynamic Time Warping

In this paper, we propose the classifier structure design algorithm using DTW. Proposed algorithm uses DTW result to design the binary tree architecture based on the SVM which classify the multi-class data. Design the binary tree architecture for Support Vector Machine(SVM-BTA) using the threshold criterion calculated by the sum columns in square matrix which components are the reference data from each class. For comparison the performance of the proposed algorithm, compare the results of classifiers which binary tree structure are designed based on database and k-means algorithm. The data used for classification is 333 signals from 18 classes of underwater transient noise. The proposed classifier has been improved classification performance compared with classifier designed by database system, and probability of detection for non-biological transient signal has improved compare with classifiers using k-means algorithm. The proposed SVM-BTA classified 68.77% of biological sound(BO), 92.86% chain(CHAN) the mechanical sound, and 100% of the 6 kinds of the other classes.
Compressive Sensing Recovery of Natural Images Using Smooth Residual Error Regularization

Compressive Sensing (CS) is a new signal acquisition paradigm which enables sampling under Nyquist rate for a special kind of signal called sparse signal. There are plenty of CS recovery methods but their performance are still challenging, especially at a low sub-rate. For CS recovery of natural images, regularizations exploiting some prior information can be used in order to enhance CS performance. In this context, this paper addresses improving quality of reconstructed natural images based on Dantzig selector and smooth filters (i.e., Gaussian filter and nonlocal means filter) to generate a new regularization called smooth residual error regularization. Moreover, total variation has been proved for its success in preserving edge objects and boundary of reconstructed images. Therefore, effectiveness of the proposed regularization is verified by experimenting it using augmented Lagrangian total variation minimization. This framework is considered as a new CS recovery seeking smoothness in residual images. Experimental results demonstrate significant improvement of the proposed framework over some other CS recoveries both in subjective and objective qualities. In the best case, our algorithm gains up to 9.14 dB compared with the CS recovery using Bayesian framework.
An Improved Synthesis Method of Parametric Stereo Coding Based on Tonality Information

In this paper, we propose a synthesis method that can effectively suppress the ambience which affects tonal components in the PS decoder. Ambience component was obtained by using decorrelation filter and the weighting of the ambience in the decoder was determined through IC parameter. However, since the parameters are extracted in the sub-band domain, a low IC value could be analyzed even if the tonal component is dominant. The quality of the output signal may be degraded. To prevent this problem, the tonality was measured in the downmixed signal and the weighting of the ambience components were adjusted appropriately according to the measured tonality index. The performance of the proposed method was evaluated by simulations. Furthermore, the subjective test was performed and the results confirmed that the proposed method offers improved quality.
Steering Beam Pattern Synthesis of Line Array SONAR using Modified Two Step Least Squares Method

Towed array SONAR is deformed because it operates in fluid such as an ocean. It especially undergoes significant change in shape as a towing vessel takes a turn. In this case, beam pattern synthesis of the line array is limited, resulting in degradation in quality such as signal-to-noise ratio. This paper presents a modified two-step least squares algorithm based on the two-step least squares method. The shape of the sea-operated line array formation with the towing vessel changing course(angle) was modeled and the algorithm was subsequently applied. While changing course and location of the main lobe in beam pattern was altered, signal-to-noise ratio of steering beam pattern synthesis was analyzed by algorithm (proposed and others). As a result, the proposed algorithm presented improvement in performance by 2dB compared to other algorithms while forming relatively constant beam pattern.

Heart sounds of patient's chest could be heard using an analog stethoscope. However, auscultation of a heart sound can be diagnosed differently by each doctor hearing it. Therefore the condition of each patient is determined by the subjective comments based on the hearing ability of a physician who has years of experience. In this paper, through analysis of heart sound and heart rate of the patient's condition, we will define minutely how to diagnose the condition of patient using a wireless digital stethoscope diagnostic system. And it is possible to perform an objective medical diagnosis by applying LCR (Level Crossing Rate) and to show the relationship of a disease using this system.

In this study, we give a detailed account of normal and abnormal state of GIS(Gas Insulated Switch-gear) using the preventive diagnostic technology. And it is based on the analysis and diagnosis for storing data of GIS by intelligent GIS monitoring system. The wave shape of GIS sound is similar to noise and is systematically generated by discharge and its corona sound. Therefore, in this paper, to classify normal and abnormal GIS sound. We could discriminate between normal and abnormal case using level crossing rate(LCR) and spectrogram energy rate.
Study on Sustain Driving Waveform for Linear Gray Scale Expression in AC Plasma Display Panel

A new sustain driving waveform and its implementation method is proposed to improve the gray scale linearity by applying the sustain waveform for producing the strong and weak discharge in AC plasma display panel. The driving method to express the gray scale of AC PDP is the combination of the several subfield in one TV frame, and the luminance of the each subfield is decided by the number of the sustain pulses. As the same amount of the strong plasma discharge is produced when the sustain pulses are applied during a sustain period, it looks easy to express the linear gray scale ideally. However, it is difficult to express the real linear gray scale due to the production of the address and first sustain discharge irrelevant to gray scale expression in every subfleld. Therefore, a new sustain driving waveformis adopted to produce partially the weak discharge instead of the strong discharge by the modification of the sustain pulses shape during the sustain period and the gray scale expression is close to the linearity.

This paper presents a electrocardiogram(ECG), electromyogram(EMG), and Photoplethysmography(PPG) signal wireless monitoring system based on Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). ECG and EMG sensor interface analog front-end circuits are designed by using off-the-shelf parts. Texas Instruments(TI)'s CC2540DK is used for BLE-based communication. Two CC2540DK modules are used as Peripheral and Central nodes. In peripheral device, vital signals are acquired by the analog front-ends and fed to ADC for analog-to-digital conversion. The peripheral transmitts the data through the air to the central device. The central device receive the data and sends them to PC using UART. GUI is designed using Labview for displaying the acquired vital signals. The developed system can be used for future ubiquitous wireless healthcare system based on bluetooth 4.0.
A New Controller of Single Phase Active Power Filter Using Rotating Synchronous Frame d-q Transformation

A New Single Phase Active Power Filter Controller is proposed using Rotating Synchronous Frame d-q transformation. Instantaneous Active Power is calculated using d-q transformation. Average Value of Instantaneous Active Power is obtained using Low Pass Filter. Because power factor is corrected, source current is in phase with source voltage. Amplitude of source current is calculated using single phase power formula. Reference signal of compensated current of Active power filter is obtained from source current reference signal minus load current. Simulation is performed using hysteresis current controller in proposed new controller. Simulation result shows that because active power filter compensates load current, source current is in phase with source voltage and source current is sinusoidal. And Hilbert transformer is builded using all pass filter.

Necessities of a traffic means work a car in the modern society human to an usability of a life is enjoying. On the other hand, the damage by traffic accident increment the human quotient worked as we were in proportion to the vehicle which increased. Passing an examination moves necessarily on an obstacle to suddenly appear at the fronts if a car travels and the vehicles which stopped suddenly. Dynamic passing an examination about an obstacle turn on Vehicle Emergency Lamp to by hand when is unhurried, and can turn off, but to appear urgently dynamic passing an examination in time human is instinctive, but cannot inform an emergency to a back vehicle, and a rear-end collision occurs. A car we synthesize a speed of a vehicle, and this unit analyzes as we use GPS, and to drive runs Vehicle Emergency Lamp to automatic in the situations that shall turn on emergencies etc. If a speed of a vehicle continuously slows down in too high-speed driving or low-speed driving, or we are stopped, Vehicle Emergency Lamp is always turned on. It was built if we rise again as clearing itself from risk, and a speed of a vehicle judges, and we turn off Vehicle Emergency Lamp to automatic. It runs till rear-end collision sensor operates, and by hand reset does Vehicle Emergency Lamp a driving vehicle collides from behind to a back vehicle or when a driving vehicle was overthrown. It is shortened very much to the chain rear-end collision traffic accident that is a traffic accident of large size if we use this unit. And we did authentication through the experiment which a driver was helpful to unnecessary operation and a relaxed safe driving during drivings.
Compact UWB Band-pass Filter with Open-Stub Using Impedance Mismatching and SIR

In this paper, the UWB (Ultra Wide Band) band-pass filter (BPF) with compact-size using impedance mismatching in transmission line and SIR (Stepped Impedance Resonator) instead of open stubs is presented. The proposed BPF have 103 % of bandwidth and 11.2 GHz of center frequency, respectively. In additional, the operation frequencies of the suggested BPF are 4.8 GHz to 16 GHz. In this structure, the length of the transmission line is reduced to half compared with the original one by impedance mismatching technique with low frequency band (sub harmonics) and harmonic components. Also, the open stub can be used for SIR due to reduced size. Experimental results show that the insertion and return losses are 0.35 dB and 15.1 dB, respectively and the filter size is

Integer Frequency Offset Estimation using PN Sequence within Training Symbol for OFDM System

The synchronization of OFDM receiver is consisted of symbol timing offset(STO) estimation in time domain and carrier frequency offset(CFO) estimation in frequency domain. This paper proposes new algorithm for correcting the integer CFO after we have done correcting the STO and partial CFO. ICFO must be corrected, since the ICFO lead to degrade bit error rate(BER) of demodulation performance. The PN sequence has information which is subcarrier order since the modified PN sequence, length is same subcarrier, is used in this paper and is modulated each subcarrier by each chip. Thus the receiver track phase of PN sequence after FFTin order to find the subcarrier frequency offset. The proposed algorithm is faster and more simple than convenient methode as measuring carrier energy.
