This study aims to provide power generating plants with eco-efficiency information. To implement the purposes, of study, both DEA(Data, Envelopment Analysis) model and interview were incorporated in terms of methodologies. To analyze the managerial efficiency, total labor cost and number of employees were considered as input factors. CO2, NOx, and water also were considered as input factors to analyze eco-efficiency. Both annual total power product and annual total revenue were used as output factors. CRS(Constant Return to Scale) and VRS(Variable Return to) model were facilitated in this analysis. According to the findings, most of the power plants were evaluated as 'Efficient'' taking into consideration of average value, both 0.928 from CCR model and 0.969 from VRS model. 7 DMUs including DMU3 and DMU12 are efficient out of 35 DMUs relatively, other DMUs are inefficient. For results of inefficient output factors distribution, it was found that inefficiency for NOx was marked relatively higher than CO2. In order to improve the eco-efficiency in the power plants in the long term, the target amount of Co2 as well as NOx reduction needs to be properly proposed in consideration of particularity of power plants. In the long run, renewable energy, alternative fuels should be adapted to reduce the eco-inefficient.

Journal of Digital Convergence, volume 11, issue 5, 2013, Pages 145~158
I estimate stock prices of listed companies using financial information and Ohlson model, which is used for the evaluation of company value. Furthermore, I use the artificial neural network, one of artificial intelligence systems, which are not based on linear relationship between variables, to estimate stock prices of listed companies. By reapplying this in estimating stock prices of newly listed companies, I evaluate the appropriateness in stock valuation with such methods. The result of practical analysis of this study is as follows. On the top of that, the multiplier for the actual stock price is accounted by generating the estimated stock prices based on the artificial neural network model. As a result of the comparison of two multipliers, the estimated stock prices by the artificial neural network model does not show statistically difference with the actual stock prices. Given that, the estimated stock price with artificial neural network is close to the actual stock prices rather than the estimated stock prices with Ohlson model.

In a MPC coding using excitation source of voiced and unvoiced, it would be a distortion of speech waveform. This is caused by normalization of synthesis speech waveform of voiced in the process of restoration the multi-pulses of representation section. To solve this problem, this paper present a method of position compensation(PC-MPC) in a multi-pulses each pitch interval in order to reduce distortion of speech waveform. I was confirmed that the method can be synthesized close to the original speech waveform. And I evaluate the MPC and PC-MPC using multi-pulses position compensation method. As a result,
of PC-MPC was improved 0.4dB for female voice and 0.5dB for male voice respectively. Compared to the MPC,
of PC-MPC has been improved that I was able to control the distortion of the speech waveform finally. And so, I expect to be able to this method for cellular phone and smart phone using excitation source of low bit rate.
Metering scheme for client privacy protection
Park, Choon-Sik ;
Journal of Digital Convergence, volume 11, issue 5, 2013, Pages 291~298
Metering scheme is composed of servers, clients, and an audit agency who collects the information for the clients which have been processed by servers. Although many efficient and secure metering schemes have been proposed in the literature, they do not consider the client privacy issue. To mitigate this limitation of the related work, we propose a metering scheme to protect the privacy of clients in internet. More specifically, we apply RSA based blind signature to the interaction between client and audit agency. If a client spends metering information to the server more than twice, the identity of the client is revealed by the server or audit agency.

In contrast to the increase in demand for high quality healthcare, there is limited medical human resources such as doctors and nurses so an excessive amount of workload is being forced to them. Therefore, a patient monitoring system using USN(Ubiquitous Sensor Network) is becoming a solution. This paper proposes a patient monitoring system applying USN in maternity hospital to reduce the workload of nurses. According to the efficiency evaluation test based on the model of two university hospitals(S, K University Hospital) and their doctor's diagnosis, the results showed that under the circumstances that one nurse is in charge of 12 patients(6 normal delivery patients and 6 cesarean delivery patients), a total of 1,260 minutes of workload was saved during hospitalization period(5 days). Also, we compared the workload of nurses with or without our proposed system, and the figures showed that in case of normal delivery patients, the workload of nurses decreased by 50 minutes per patient, whereas in case of cesarean delivery patients, the workload of nurses decreased by 130 minutes per patient.

The data was collected from Feb, 2012 to July, 2012 and in the end, 216 questionnaires were made the subjects of data analysis. For the collected data, frequency analysis, percentage, ANOVA, t-test and correlation analysis were conducted using SPSS, LISREL. The overall index of hypothesis model showed a good congruence like
= .06 (p= .812), df=1,
(df)=.06, GFI=1.0, AGFI= 1.0, SRMR=.002, NFI= 1.0, NNFI=1.0, RMSEA=0.000, CN=266. Looking at the results of hypothesis testing suggested by the model, the variables which affected the family adaptation were family stress and parenting stress, while social support, family hardness, problem solving communication, and problem solving coping didn't affect the family adaptation. It is considered that based on the results of this study, nursing intervention which helps the family adaptation of the married immigrant women who are in a crisis situation must be done with a program which can help them have a positive view on the stress situation and reduce the stress happening in the family relationship and parenting.

Journal of Digital Convergence, volume 11, issue 5, 2013, Pages 371~384
The purpose of this study was to develop the risk-adjusted mortality model using Korean Hospital Discharge Injury data and US National Hospital Discharge Survey data and to suggest some ways to manage hospital mortality rates through comparison of Korea and United States Hospital Standardized Mortality Ratios(HSMR). This study used data mining techniques, decision tree and logistic regression, for developing Korea and United States risk-adjustment model of in-hospital mortality. By comparing Hospital Standardized Mortality Ratio(HSMR) with standardized variables, analysis shows the concrete differences between the two countries. While Korean Hospital Standardized Mortality Ratio(HSMR) is increasing every year(101.0 in 2006, 101.3 in 2007, 103.3 in 2008), HSMR appeared to be reduced in the United States(102.3 in 2006, 100.7 in 2007, 95.9 in 2008). Korean Hospital Standardized Mortality Ratios(HSMR) by hospital beds were higher than that of the United States. A two-aspect approach to management of hospital mortality rates is suggested; national and hospital levels. The government is to release Hospital Standardized Mortality Ratio(HSMR) of large hospitals and to offer consulting on effective hospital mortality management to small and medium hospitals.

Journal of Digital Convergence, volume 11, issue 5, 2013, Pages 405~410
Due to the enforcement of a law about disability nondiscrimination and rights protection in 2008, the web accessibility has become an obligation. According to a survey targeting public sectors such as central administrative organization, local autonomous entity and etc., the level of compliance with web accessibility appeared to be improved every year. However, such legal mechanism focuses on the improvement of convenience for disabled people only and does not meet the concept of universal design that aims to satisfy every user. Therefore, this study verifies the status of web accessibility on 17 homepages of metropolitan and provincial offices of education. The status survey was carried out with 3 steps: 1) Verification through automated verification tool by National Information Society Agency, 2) Verification through Web Content Accessibility Guidelines(UD-WCAG) that adopts the concept of universal design, 3) Verification by using screen reader. Compared to the verification through automated verification tool, the overall compliance rate verified through UD-WCAG was reported lower.
