Journal of Digital Convergence, volume 11, issue 8, 2013, Pages 1~10
Even though the importance of reading voters' share of mind increases in political campaign, there is no research which analyzes engagement in perspective of political campaign. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to calculate political engagement index which is qualitative indicator about political campaign's immersion in candidate in perspective of engagement and provide scientific data for political advertisement and publicity strategy. For this purpose, A and B candidates who ran for 18th president in December 19th, 2012 are selected for subjects of the research. The young people whose voter participations are low in this presidential election are selected as subjects for responding questionnaire and are surveyed. This research is qualitative evaluation which tires to supplement a limit of qualitative analysis of content by surpassing quantitative evaluation including advertisement, promotion, public opinion on politics, ratings, etc. Evaluation attribute is designed to distribute 8 PEI into 0~100 score. If PEI is more than 50, then the score indicates immersion above average. If PEI is lower than 50, then the score indicates immersion below average. The model of the research will contribute to development of methodological research of political campaign strategy. Also, in the future, this model can be used as micro-targeting in each political campaign's election strategy.

Journal of Digital Convergence, volume 11, issue 8, 2013, Pages 183~190
The Photoplethysmogram is a similar periodic signal that synchrinized to a heartbeat. In this paper, we propose a exponential weight moving average filter that use similarity of Photoplethysmogram. This filtering method has the average value of each samples through separating the cycle of PPG signal. If there are some motion artifacts in continuous PPG signal, disjoin the signal based on cycle. And then, we made these signals to have same cycle by coordinating the number of sample. After arrange these cycles in 2 dimension, we put the average value of each samples from starting till now. So, we can eliminate the motion artifacts without damaged PPG signal.

Journal of Digital Convergence, volume 11, issue 8, 2013, Pages 191~197
In this paper, we implemented a paper currency recognition system using IR(infrared) sensor. The system has 32 channel IR sensor to measure the reflection and penetration quantity of light. The IR image of paper currency of 10-bit gray scale is used to differentiate the real and counterfeit paper currency with image information from 0 to 4095. The characteristics of IR image are recognized by brightness and darkness and the positions of bright and dark portions are different between real and counterfeit paper currency. The price of IR sensors were relatively high, however, it is good price in these days due to mass production to apply to counterfeit detection area. We used a software table having the IR characteristics of real paper currency to compare with the IR images of the input paper currency. The performance of the implemented system shows 1-2% error rates for Euro real paper currency and 0% error rates for various counterfeit paper currencies of several countries.

Procedural Modeling Algorithm for Traditional Stone Fence Creator
Park, Kyeongsu ;
Journal of Digital Convergence, volume 11, issue 8, 2013, Pages 205~212
In this paper, we present a procedural modeling algorithms to create Korean traditional stone fence using the fractal subdivision. The main process of the algorithm is to get the next step mesh by subdividing each triangle in the previous step triangular mesh. This process is repeated recursively. Dividing each triangle into four sub-triangles after choosing a random point on each side of the triangle and moving each vertices in the normal direction with random perturbations make the bumpy appearance of stone fences. In each step we remove flat vertices which does not influence the shape of the stone. The discrete curvature determines the flatness of a vertex. New triangles whose vertices are the vertices around the removed vertex are added to make a triangular mesh.

Cho, Hyun ; Ko, Zoonki ;
Journal of Digital Convergence, volume 11, issue 8, 2013, Pages 251~263
To explore the device to allow the marriage immigrants' family to take jobs in our country, the social and economic environments that they face are investigated and analyzed through literature survey and field inquiry. The principal motive of the marriage to Korean is economic problem. But their actual economic conditions are inferior, and other legal problems, such as getting jobs and remitting money to their home country, drive them to unstable status. The present hiring policy is applied only to foreign workers with no domestic relations(E-9), hence the marriage immigrants are excluded from the domestic employment. To make institutional devices for giving them the employment opportunity, the modification of the existing laws are proposed. For examples, the 'Act on employment of foreign workers' can be revised to permit immigrant's relatives to get jobs, and 'Immigration control law' can be amended to guarantee legal qualification for taking jobs. It is desirable that the overall control be made by the Prime Minister's Office, and operation as well as surveillance be performed by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family (MGEF) and the Ministry of Employment and Labor (MEL).

Song, Min-Gu ; Kim, Sun-Bae ;
Journal of Digital Convergence, volume 11, issue 8, 2013, Pages 293~302
So far, DW(data warehouse) of hospital has been used as tool for analyzing patient-focused data. However, EMR(Electronic Medical Record) is established these days, so informal data which is record and video record could be useful to get some information for patient remedy, not as DW data. This study claims that need of establishing treatment-focused DW, not for hospital administration-focused DW which has been used lots of hospital DW. Also we discussed how CDW can be applied for real medication situation. At last, we deduct a relation past record of sick and wounded patient as Thesaurus searching method by real hospital data for establishing base of early-treatment system.

According to Zhuang-zi "mind" has dual character and its basic state includes the mind which is in keeping with Tao and the mind which is not. They separately refer to mind's natural state(靈府靈臺 之心) and unnatural state(成心). The former is compatible and harmonious while the latter is contradictory. The accomplishment of mind eventually means transcending unnatural mind and attaining mind's natural state. To realize natural mind, Zhuang-zi propose xinzhai(心齋)and zuowang(坐忘).
