DOI : 10.14400/JDC.2016.14.7.11
This study examines the possibility of implementing the technology financing for export-import based small and medium sized enterprises. Our sample consists of 2,753 small and medium sized enterprises, receiving financial support from the Export-Import Bank of Korea for the period of 2011-2013. We find that only 400(200) firms reserve IPs(patents) annually. Given that IPs are likely to concentrate on manufacturer industries such as electronic components, computers, video, sound and communication equipment manufacturing(KSIC 26), other machinery and equipment manufacturing(KSIC 29), manufacture of motor vehicles and trailers(KSIC 31). We also find that the total assets, sales and R&D expenses of IP holding companies greatly exceeds those of companies without IPs. In addition, IP holding companies` liquidity seems slight edge and the leverage ratio is somewhat lower. However, profitability ratios of IP holding companies are rather than harsh or similar level. 20~30% of IP holding firms show very week credit scores, implying that banks` default risk is expected to be significant.

To investigate the association between the components for MetS and osteoarthritis, we analyzed the mean values of 5 components of MetS, waist circumference (WC), triglyceride (TG), HDL-cholesterol, systolic blood pressure, and fasting plasma glucose in normal and OA group. In women, WC, TG, HDL, and systolic blood pressure were associated with the development of OA. Moreover, accumulation of components of MetS was significantly related to the prevalence of OA in Korean men and women. These data suggest that MetS might be a novel risk factor for OA and MetS should be taken into account in the prevention and treatment of OA for Korean adults as well.

Technology evaluation for technology innovation of venture firms should take the rapidly changing corporate environment, the ambiguity of language used in evaluation, and the inaccuracy of evaluation index into consideration. In this paper, targeting the absorptive capacity and technological entrepreneurship which are typical evaluation factors of venture firms, an ACTEM model to calculate the importance, priority, and dynamic capability of factors, applying Fuzzy-AHP was proposed. The fuzzy theory was introduced to compensate for the ambiguity of cognitive judgments when calculating weighted values for the factors that made up an assessment scale. An assessment criteria framework for absorptive capacity, technological entrepreneurship, and dynamic capability, which were not considered in previous studies on the evaluation and measurement of technological prowess, so that the users could have a realistic alternative to choose. The study compared the ACTEM model with the old AHP assessment method and found that "knowledge acquisition" and "producing ability" were the highest in absorptive capacity and technological entrepreneurship, respectively, thus demonstrating its validity.

This study is to improve the design of bus transfer information that can be substantially used. This study has been processed using the following steps. First, I tried to define the information design and way-finding information design. Secondly, I have researched several case studies, and considered solutions. Finally, I evaluated way-finding maps through pair-wise comparisons, and drew needs through an interview. As the result of this research, there were some problems in font size, improper space between letters and non-consistent information. To solve these problems, the information has to be clear using easy symbols to be well-recognized by citizens. Also, the font size needs to be decided by a calculation of minimum legible size of letters. Lastly, a value contrast between a background color and a letter color needs to be applied more than 70 percent for better visibility. The study is expected to be used as a reference which helps informational design to be developed.
